Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold slammed as he goes public with new girlfriend

Trent Alexander-Arnold was presented as a Real Madrid player on Thursday and introduced his girlfriend to the world, but the press conference has been overshadowed by the right-back’s new language skills

England footballer Trent Alexander-Arnold used his unveiling as a Real Madrid player to go public with girlfriend Estelle Behnke. The 26-year-old right-back sat next to his model partner as he was presented to Spanish media and introduced himself to Real Madrid fans.

Trent, who previously dated actor Jude Law’s daughter Iris, has been in a relationship with Esetelle since October 2024. She boasts more than 75,000 followers on Instagram and recently posted pictures from a trip to Beverly Hills.

Last year, the happy couple enjoyed a romantic getaway at the exclusive £6,000-per-night Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds and were also seen dining at the celebrity favourite Cibo in Hale, Cheshire.

Trent and his new flame turned heads as their shared location tags at an exclusive members’ club in the Cotswolds sparked romance rumours. Eagle-eyed supporters had already picked up on signals of blooming love between the two following individual holiday posts.

And the relationship was confirmed on Thursday when Estelle joined the Trent’s family to watch his press conference at Real Madrid City, Madrid, and sported a stunning in a white one-shoulder dress. But, in what should have been a great day for the footballer, both personally and professionally, has been tainted due to a social media storm over Trent’s new language skills.

The 26-year-old England international, who signed a six-year deal with the Spanish giants after his contract with English champions Liverpool expired, spoke fluent Spanish confidently at his official presentation ahead of a press conference.

Estelle and Trent have been dating since October last year

His choice to speak in the language of his new club and not English surprised many, but showed the preparation which had gone into this move, something for which he was criticised by sections of the Liverpool fanbase after running down his contract with his hometown club.

“A SCOUSER speaking fluent spanish? lmaooo trent has been plotting and preparing for this move since the summer of 2022,” one Twitter (X) used commented as the clip of Trent went viral.

“Nah Trent was speaking intermediate level Spanish. He has been planning to leave for YEARSSS LOOOOOOOOOOOL,” another mused, with a third fuming: “Trent cost his boyhood club the winning goal in a Champions League final and immediately started learning Spanish to help orchestrate a move to the club he’d just lost too, don’t let anyone tell you he’s not a rat.”

Acknowledging that many – including former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp – criticised Reds fans for booing Trent during one of his final games for the club after confirming his exit, another Twitter (X) user wrote: “LOOOOOOL na we all need to apologise to Liverpool fans because Trent is all of a sudden fluent in Spanish???? I am so sorry Liverpool fans.”

Trent admitted during his presentation that Real Madrid was the only team he would have left boyhood club Liverpool for and was comfortable he made the right decision.

Trent claims he has only been learning Spanish for a few months

The 26-year-old, who has signed a six-year deal after Real Madrid paid £8.5million to release him from a contract expiring this month, rejected suggestions he had been heavily influenced by close friend and England team-mate Jude Bellingham.

He also denied he had been orchestrating the move for a long time but impressing president Florentino Perez and assembled club dignitaries by surprisingly addressing them in Spanish did nothing to calm the anger a significant section of the fanbase have felt about the way he handled his exit after 20 years at Liverpool.

“To be honest, it was never a question of where, it was whether to go or not to go but I always knew, I’ve probably known it for a long time, if I was ever to leave Liverpool, it would only be to go Real Madrid, that would be the only club for me,” said Trent, who told a press conference he had been learning Spanish “for a few months”.

“Then it gets to a point where you have to make a decision whether to go or stay and making that decision was not an easy decision because I’d been there so long, but eventually you have to make a decision and in my mind, I’ve made the right one.”

David Beckham was all smiles while chatting to pals during an Inter Miami team training session on Friday. The football star, who is rumoured to be being knighted in the King’s Birthday Honours List this week, looked relaxed as he chatted with head coach Javier Mascherano and another person.

If the star, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday without his eldest son in attendance, does receive a knighthood, then he officially becomes a Sir, and his wife Victoria will be a Lady. Amid the reports, Inter Miami co-owner David was pictured kicking a ball during a team training session on Friday afternoon.

The football icon, who is said to be locked in a feud with his eldest son, Brooklyn, looked cool and casual in a grey t-shirt, black sweatpants, trainers and a white baseball cap.

At one point, he took a break from training to sit by the sidelines under the blazing sun. Meanwhile, the training session comes after he was snapped attending a Royal event this week, hosted by King Charles himself.

The footballer was snapped attending the King’s Foundation Awards ceremony at St James’ Palace in London – before the official announcement of his long-awaited knighthood.

He looked dapper in a navy blue double breasted blazer, striped blue shirt and a grey tie for the lavish event.

Amid the family feud, it has been said that David didn’t tell Brooklyn, who is married to Nicola Peltz, about his reported knighthood. Instead, Brooklyn reportedly learned of his father’s happy news through the media.

A source for Brooklyn told Page Six he was thrilled his dad was finally receiving the honour, while a source quoted as someone close to his parents told the publication: “Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he’s not responding to those that try to connect.”

Now, the 26-year-old star has shared a picture of a tattoo that could be perceived as a tell-tale sign about where his loyalties lie.

The image shows the tattoo on Brooklyn’s upper back that is based on a note Nicola, 30, wrote to him before their wedding in April 2022. Tattooed in a stylish calligraphy font, it reads:

“My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious. I want you to know how deeply loved you are. You have the kindest heart I’ve ever met and hope I never go a day without your love.

“I think you are so incredible. Just know we can get through it all together if you breathe slow and trust. I love you beyond. Love always, your future wifey.”

Eamonn Holmes rants about ‘horrible’ former co-stars and brands them ‘false, false, false’

GB News host Eamonn Holmes has hit out at his former co-stars branding some of them “horrible” and “fake” during a recent episode of his podcast

GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes didn’t mince his words about former colleagues in the television industry, slating some as “horrible” and repeatedly calling them “false, false, false”.

On his latest podcast episode of Things We Like, Eamonn was joined by co-presenter Paul Coyte and tough guy actor Ray Winstone. During a candid conversation, The Departed actor Ray shared insights on his life in Los Angeles and how the Hollywood buzz led him back to the UK, starting Eamonn on a scathing rant about the entertainment world.

Ray said: “I couldn’t live in LA, it’s constant,” and pointed out: “Even the guy who puts petrol in your car works in the industry. It’s like every two minutes, it’s all they want to talk about.

“We talk about birds and football and boxing, you know, they talk about movies. Hollywood and Los Angeles are wonderful places when you’re doing alright, but when you’re not.”

Eamonn, fresh from his departure from his long-standing gig at This Morning, jumped in to sound off on his disdain for phony relationships within showbiz circles, reports Belfast Live.

The seasoned presenter, not shy about his feelings regarding people in the biz, spoke in a mocking tone: “‘I don’t like this character, I don’t like so and so, I like that person, I didn’t get on with them,’” before hinting at similarities between himself and Winstone, saying, “That’s what the business is based on. I mean, I’m like you [Ray Winstone]. I get myself into trouble because if I don’t like someone, they’ll know I don’t like them.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Eamonn remarked on the frequent hypocrisy he encounters, noting: “And there are so many horrible people that you end up with. People say: ‘Oh, he’s lovely, he’s fantastic’.”

Eamonn Holmes has recently shared his candid views on celebrity genuineness, stating: “If they say to me: ‘What’s that Ray Winstone like?’ I’ll say he is lovely and he is fantastic and people will believe me because I wouldn’t say it if you weren’t, but so many are just false, false, false.”

While discussing the authenticity of stars in showbiz, all three men found common ground, although they refrained from naming individuals associated with their sentiments.

Rumours once circled about a rift between Eamonn and his former GMTV co-star Anthea Turner during the 90s, but both have indicated that any past issues have been resolved.

In recent times, Eamonn has not held back on expressing his opinions about ex-This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield following Phillip’s departure from ITV due to a controversial relationship with a younger man within the company.

Taking a firm stance on Phillip’s troubles, Eamonn commented in October 2024 that he was “absolutely addicted to fame,” and explained that Phillip, who remains absent from our screens, “deserves to be in exile”.

The surgery to rebuild the actress’s face after damage from drug abuse and years of operations was a “success”, her partner revealed on social media

Actress Danniella Westbrook has revealed that she is getting facial surgery to rebuild her face after several years of botched operations that followed on from her battle with drug addiction.

The former EastEnders star shared a photograph of her in a hospital bed on social media with the caption: “Big day for me heading down for a very long surgery right now to rebuild my face. Then I can get back to work and we can get on with our life together @chasarealtal. I love you x.”

Her partner, Charlie, shared a video on his own Instagram story to thank everyone for offering support to Danniella. He added: “This is something that she wanted to do for herself, it’s been a long time coming. I love her for her, I met her for her.. She’s beautiful inside and out. This is something she wants to do for herself.”

After the surgery, Charlie posted a story captioned: “Thank you everyone she is doing OK, still long way to go but it was a success, now time to rest and recover.” Danniella reposted it, adding: “Don’t know what I’d do without you.”

The actress has undergone a series of surgical procedures over the years, and was most notably in the press for getting her septum reconstructed after years of drug abuse led to its collapse.

    Danniella Westbrook
Danniella has said that at her lowest point, she was doing 42 grams of cocaine a week

Danniella has been open about her struggles with addiction and said, on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016: “When I got over a drug addiction, I then swapped that addiction for a cosmetic surgery addiction.”

In 2023, Danniella went to Turkey for her fifth reconstruction surgery where she underwent a surgical thread lift as well as fat grafting on her chin and had her jawline etched. She told The Sun that the operation, which involved removing fat from her body to put into her cheeks and lips, hadn’t worked.

She said: “I also have big lumps of fluid all over my belly. They’re like big tennis balls. It’s ruined my body. I have never been in pain like it. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I was hysterically crying every single day.”

Several years before, in 2015, a botched operation on her teeth and mouth area had left her in pain.

She told the Mirror: “I did nearly die, I had two lots of IV drips in each side and then they took all my teeth out again and gave me this denture, which has broken my heart because I didn’t need all of my teeth out in the first place.”

Last month, Danniella opened up about her love life on social media, and told followers that she had found her perfect match.

She wrote: “For the first time in my whole adult life I’ve met someone who expects nothing for me , allows me to be me, excepts [sic] my past and is excited for my future and who builds me up everyday with nothing to gain except to see me happy…”

Danniella continued: “Every battle every heartbreak and every tear was worth it because today I got someone so special and my best friend beside me. Together we will make every dream come true.”

In another post, she wrote that she had found someone who respects her and loves her, adding: “I know I can get through anything in life by myself but I don’t have too because I have him.”

He is now Sir David Beckham and feels “humbled” by new honour but sadly his life is not completely perfect

Emotional former England football captain David Beckham said it was a “humbling honour” after being knighted in the King’s Birthday Honours.

Sir David, who was made an OBE in 2003 and has been in the running for a knighthood for more than a decade, said in a statement to the Mirror: “Growing up in East London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour. To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true. Off the pitch I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation.

“I’m so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I’m grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment. It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I’m immensely proud and it’s such an emotional moment for me to share with my family.”

The mention of his family is a particularly poignant one at the moment. Beckham’s son Brooklyn has not been speaking to him or wife Victoria for some months. Messages of congratulations will follow from family and friends for Beckham, but it remains to be seen if there will be one from the son he calls ‘Buster’.

Beckham had been on the verge of receiving a knighthood in the 2014 New Year’s Honours list but HM Revenue and Customs placed a red flag on his nomination due to his involvement in an alleged tax avoidance scheme, according to previous reports.

In 2021 it was reported that his finances had been cleared and he was eligible for a knighthood. The day before Sir David was given the honour, he was seen chatting with the King at a St James’s Palace ceremony for the monarch’s foundation, of which the retired footballer is an ambassador.

He has always be a huge supporter of the royal family and there was no finer example of this as when in September 2022 he queued for 12 hours to see Elizabeth II lying in state and described it as “special to be here”.

He has been made a knight for his services to sport and to charity, having partnered with Unicef and campaigned with Malaria No More, a charity working to eradicate the disease. Sir David, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday, was presented with an OBE by the Queen in 2003 for his services to football.

In 2022 he recalled: “To receive my OBE, I took my grandparents with me – who were the ones that really brought me up to be a huge royalist and a fan of the Royal Family – and obviously I had my wife there as well.

“To step up, to get my honour – but then also Her Majesty, to ask questions, to talk. I was so lucky that I was able to have a few moments like that in my life, to be around Her Majesty.

“Because we can all see with the love that has been shown how special she is and how special she was and the legacy that she leaves behind. It’s a sad day, but it’s a day for us to remember the incredible legacy that she’s left.

“Every time that we stood there when we wore those Three Lion shirts and I had my armband and we sang God Save The Queen, that was something that meant so much to us.

“Every time that we did it, it was something special.” Beckham will not have much time to celebrate this weekend as sources close to the star confirmed he would be watching his team Inter Miami play the opening game of the Club World Cup. But at some point he will presumably allow himself a moment to think how far he has come.

Born in Leytonstone, east London, Beckham had a trial at local team Leyton Orient and also attended Tottenham’s school of excellence – but his father Ted, a staunch Manchester United fan, remained determined he would go on to play at Old Trafford.

After coming through the club’s academy as part of the famed ‘Class of 92’, Beckham announced himself to the Premier League on the opening day of the 1996-97 season with a memorable goal from the halfway line against Wimbledon.

While there were plenty of doubters as to what he could go on to achieve, Beckham answered them and more – claiming six Premier League titles and two FA Cups with Sir Alex Ferguson’s all-conquering side as well as a dramatic 1999 Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp.

International success, however, proved elusive for Beckham as England’s so-called ‘golden generation’ repeatedly came up short. In a Netflix documentary series, released during October 2023, Beckham revealed he still cannot forgive himself for the abuse his family suffered amid the fallout from his red card at the 1998 World Cup for kicking the back of Diego Simeone’s leg during the last-16 clash against Argentina in Saint-Etienne – which left him a “mess”.

By the time Beckham retired at 38, he was already thinking about life after football, and he became a co-owner of the Inter Miami franchise. The club entered Major League Soccer for the 2020 campaign and now boasts Lionel Messi on the team sheet.

A multi-million-pound lifetime deal with Adidas, signed in 2003, had secured his financial future away from the game. Other lucrative, high-profile endorsements down the years have ranged from fashion designers Calvin Klein, Armani and Hugo Boss to tech giants Samsung, Haig Club whisky and Stella Artois as well as kitchen appliance manufacturer Ninja. Beckham, who was made an OBE for services to football in 2003, has long been involved with children’s charity UNICEF, and is a co-owner of film production company Studio 99.

In 2024, Beckham was appointed Ambassador for The King’s Foundation which works globally to create sustainable communities through placemaking projects and also transform lives through practical education programmes. Following the news, Philip Goodwin, UNICEF UK’s Chief Executive, said of their Goodwill Ambassador: “We’re so thrilled that our UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, David Beckham, has been awarded a knighthood in the King’s Birthday Honours.

“David Beckham has done an incredible amount to advocate for children’s rights over the last 20 years. He became a Goodwill Ambassador in 2005 and launched 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund in 2015 – with the goal of helping children around the world, especially girls, break down barriers including bullying, violence, child marriage and missed education. He’s travelled extensively to see UNICEF’s work and used his profile to raise awareness, as well as support our flagship fundraising campaign Soccer Aid for UNICEF and launch global fundraising appeals. We are grateful for all of his support that has done a huge amount to amplify the voices of children around the world.”

  • What does Sir David’s knighthood mean for the Beckhams? From Victoria’s new title to privileges

What does Sir David’s knighthood mean for the Beckhams? From Victoria’s new title to privileges

EXCLUSIVE: David Beckham has become a Sir, as it has been announced in the King’s Birthday Honours List that he is set to receive a knighthood, which marks a string of changes for his family

All rise for Sir David Beckham! After days of excited speculation around David, 50, being awarded a knighthood, the news has finally been announced following the official release of the King’s Birthday Honours List.

Sir David has been recognised on the King’s Birthday Honours List, released this evening, which means a number of big changes for Goldenballs and his clan, including his former pop star turned fashion designer wife. Gone are the days Victoria will be nicknamed Posh, and she really has lived up to the moniker as Victoria, who received an OBE in 2017, also receives a new title with David’s honour, and she will now be known as Lady Victoria Beckham.

But, that’s not the only change the Beckhams – who are currently facing a turbulent time amid their fallout with eldest son Brooklyn and wife Nicola – are set to undergo as Royal commentator and former editor of The International Who’s Who, Richard Fitzwilliams, exclusively explains to the Mirror what Sir David’s new knighthood will mean for himself and his family– and if he can use the titles right away, or if he has to wait until he kneels in front of the King who will knight him with a sword…

David Beckham’s knighthood – his and Victoria’s new titles

David and Victoria will be come Sir and Lady Beckham

Richard explains: “Just after his 50th birthday, David Beckham can celebrate his knighthood, which he can use as soon as the King’s Birthday Honours list is officially announced later tonight.

“This means his wife Victoria, who already has an OBE in her own right, becomes Lady Beckham. She was a member of the Spice Girls, one of the most successful girl bands ever and is a talented designer.”

Will David and Victoria’s children receive new titles, too?

David's knighthood won't mean any title change for their children

Each of the Beckham children are also famous, having grown up in front of the gaze of millions of fans. Although they have earned their own status’ within the world of showbiz, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Beckham won’t get any royal recognition due to their dad’s new title.

Richard tells us: “A knighthood is not hereditary, so there will be no direct benefit for his children, but they will or should be proud of him nonetheless.”

What does David’s knighthood mean for his career?

Sir David Beckham is famous in his own right

David Beckham’s football career, dashing good looks and celebrity marriage to Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, sorry Lady Beckham, has earned him worldwide celebrity status which has stood the test of time.

But, his knighthood will bring a whole new era in his career as Richard explains: “It is not just that he joins a unique band of fifteen knights who have been honoured for their services to football plus the footballing legend Pele, who has received an honorary knighthood. These include Sir Alex Ferguson, his mentor at Manchester United before they fell out, this will give David particular satisfaction, although they have since reportedly made up.

“We live in an egalitarian age but David Beckham is a phenomenon with a profile that is unique. Owing to the saga of the leaked emails in 2017, we know how keen he was to have a knighthood. However, this is not the point.

“He is a phenomenon who has also used his fame for charitable purposes, this especially involves his invaluable and high profile work for UNICEF. Beckham has backed Britain whenever he can and his role in bringing the Olympics to London was invaluable.

“Usually, a knighthood can mean increased respect and trust and also assist in expanding an individuals profile and opening new doors to show off their talent. Beckham defies categorisation, it would be impossible to be better known.”

As well as catapulting David’s career, it also puts to bed any past scandals – including those sweary leaked emails and the claims he had legally avoided tax.

Sir David Beckham has finally received his knighthood
Sir David Beckham has finally received his knighthood

Royal expert Richard continues: “This also, beginning with the knighthood for Sir Gareth Southgate, who was also allegedly involved in a tax avoidance scheme , closes the door on this issue. It was probably the main reason why it took so long for him to be honoured. The length of time reflected badly on the system as it is, on occasion, too slow to honour deserving individuals. In this case it was far too slow.

“However it will not be forgotten that David is ardently patriotic. He queued for about twelve hours to pass Queen Elizabeth’s coffin during the lying in state. He is also an ambassador for the King’s Foundation.

“The media circus around the Beckhams is beside the point. At last he has the recognition he, as a former England captain with 115 caps for England and a global profile, deserves.

“When he and Victoria celebrate they will have the satisfaction of knowing that the vast majority of Britons will be pleased that, finally, he is receiving the knighthood he so richly deserves.”

With the prestigious title comes a string of VIP privileges only afforded to those who receive a knighthood.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams tells us: “The Chapel of Knights Bachelor is in St Paul’s Cathedral and he would be entitled to request the use of the Chapel for weddings, baptisms and memorial services.

“As a knight he is also entitled to apply for a coat of arms – perhaps golden balls will feature!”

Meanwhile, like every person who has received a knighthood, Sir David will be treated to an official ceremony. The ceremony, which often happens at Buckingham Palace, will see David kneel in front of a monarch – which can be either the King or another member of the Royal Family such as Princess Anne or Prince William – who will then touch the recipient’s shoulder with a sword.

After she provided her commentary, Nick mentioned the spending review received a ‘positive write-up’ in the Financial Times as a segue to further praise for his colleague.

‘Every time there’s a spending review or a budget, the first paper I turn to is the Financial Times because I don’t have Steph by my side’, he said.

She joked, ‘I could be there!’, with Cat weighing in: ‘There on speed dial!’

Nick continued, of the Financial Times’ view on the spending review: ‘They do say exactly what Steph just said.’

The political conversation gave way to a light-hearted debate between long-time Londoner Nick and North Shields native Steph about the UK’s North-South divide.

Steph quipped: ‘I just want to start by saying the North is better than the South.

‘As a proud Northerner who lives in the North, I live up in Newcastle, and there is a divide.

‘For a start, Northerners are funnier, Northerners have got more resilience because we have to, we’ve got better banter. You know all this Nick, don’t you?’

She then delivered analysis: ‘But if you look at things like investment, and I know we’ve heard from the Chancellor about more money for English regions and that’s really important.

‘It’s a long way off yet, when we’ll see that actually play through.’

Steph also commented on the alarming difference in life expectancy between the North and South, well-documented over the years.

And her wit, analysis and delivery were clearly a hit with viewers.

Steph’s turn on This Morning comes after the journalist appeared on competition TV show Celebrity Bear Hunt earlier this year.

Billed as ‘the ultimate survival challenge’, the Netflix programme saw a group of unlikely celebrities get dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world’s most fearsome predators – Bear Grylls.

But the show, which aired in February, proved particularly dangerous for Steph as a shock incident saw her almost break her nose after swinging face-first into a cliff face, The Sun reports.

Steph is said to have struggled to walk after being covered in bruises, while at one point there were fears she was concussed.

The horror smash is also said to have left presenter Holly Willoughby fighting tears, amid concerns the journalist would not be able to continue.

Luckily for the star, she was deemed fit to carry on 24 hours later, though her injury was still visible in the trailer as she was seen with a plaster across her nose.

MailOnline revealed earlier this month that Bear Hunt has been axed after just one series.

The programme, filmed Costa Rica, will not return despite co-host Bear saying he was hopeful it would.

Sources close to the show say while the ratings were good, it was expensive to make and Netflix are now planning to do more live events rather than pre-recorded shows.

One told MailOnline: ‘Everyone was very proud of the show but when it came to it, it was just so expensive to make.

‘You had to have a whole set in Costa Rica, loads of staff and loads of celebrities. The overheads were eyewatering.’

It is understood cheaper locations were looked at but nothing appeared to be suitable.

  • ‘Gutted’ Breaking Dad fans make urgent plea over show’s future as Bradley Walsh reveals ‘it’s the last one – that’s it’

‘Gutted’ Breaking Dad fans make urgent plea over show’s future as Bradley Walsh reveals ‘it’s the last one – that’s it’

Bradley and Barney come to the end of the road…

Breaking Dad viewers recently shared their fears the ITV series starring Bradley Walsh and son Barney Walsh was facing the final curtain following the conclusion of the recent run of episodes last month.

Bradley and Barney enjoyed a jaunt to Chiang Mai in Thailand for the latest leg of their TV tour of East Asia and South East Asia. The popular pair had already taken in Tokyo in Japan, as well as Gifu and Osaka, before heading over to Thailand to explore Bangkok.

Along the way they tackled sumo wrestlers, and trained in Muay Thai, before hurtling in the air in Thailand’s jungle as part of a terrifying zip line experience. But as a montage of Bradley and Barney’s most exhilarating moments – soundtracked with My Way by Frank Sinatra – aired ahead of the credits rolling, fans made an urgent plea over Breaking Dad‘s future.

Will there be another series of Breaking Dad?

As the duo reflected on their escapades as they took in the view from a temple, the show’s stars indicated Breaking Dad may be coming to an end.

This is a cool place to finish.

“This is a cool place to finish, a very beautiful temple,” Bradley cooed as Barney nodded: “We’ve done some stuff.”

A sincere Bradley continued: “It has been amazing. And I’ve just enjoyed going all around the globe with you. It’s been great, Barns.”

“Me too, Dad,” Barney replied: “We’ve been to so many countries now, we’ve done so many things.”

Bradley went on: “Well, it is the last one, innit? That’s it.”

But Barney, who noted he was 19 when the series started and is now 27, added: “Never say never. We’ve had a good run.”

A stunned Bradley said: “That is unbelievable. I’ve loved every second of it, mate. I really, really have. To be honest, I’d have struggled if I hadn’t done it with you, and been with you.”

Barney concluded as they embraced: “But that’s part of the magic, right? That we do it together. And that we faced it all together.”

    How viewers reacted

Amid the touching scene, X users expressed their concerns that the montage depicting the father and son’s previous exploits meant Breaking Dad may not return.

“Is this the last-ever series then? Since they’re showing clips from previous series’ too? #breakingdad,” one fan asked.

To which someone else replied: “I’ve asked the same thing.”

“Absolutely love this series! Gutted it’s over after eight years but I have laughed out loud at every series,” someone else concluded. “What a bond those guys have #breakingdad.”

Someone else posted: ‘Loved every minute of #breakingdad with Brad and Barney real feel good TV. Hope not the last series
    @BradleyWalsh.”

“Really hope this wasn’t the last series! I really enjoy watch Bradley and Barney’s adventures!! #breakingdad,” wrote another observer.

“Awww hope that isn’t the last series. Such an entertaining show #breakingdad,” added another.

Yet another offered: “Genuinely hope this isn’t the final episode of #BreakingDad that I’ve watched tonight, this father and son are great to watch together!”

While someone else echoed that thought, and also used a crying emoji, writing: “#breakingdad I really hope this ain’t the last series.”

And yet another of their legions of fans asked: “Is this the last #BreakingDad then?!”

Tonight, Breaking Dad returns to our screens. But sadly for fans, it’s not a new episode. Instead, ITV is repeating season 4, with the pair heading from Europe to the Arctic.

It was sad week in Coronation Street this week, as Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) was killed off after a brutal assault in a tear jerking episode. It was announced earlier this year that the star would be leaving the soap – and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight when he left the cobbles for good on Wednesday night.

Colson was axed from the show last year, and just days after his tragic onscreen death, he’s taken to Instagram to announce his new job with BBC Radio Leeds.

Taking to his Instagram to thank followers for all the love this week, Colson, 26, wrote: “Thank you so much for all the love this week! I really appreciate it!”

He then had big news to share with his followers. Alongside a picture of him outside a BBC building, he wrote: “There’s a few exciting things going off!! BUT one thing I can tell you for now, is that I’m joining the team at BBC Radio Leeds this summer!!! Catch ya on the wireless in Yorkshire!!”

Colson is no stranger to speaking to a mic, as he fronts the On The Sofa with Colson, Jack and Ben podcast alongside cast mates and besties, Jack P. Shepherd and Ben Price who play David Platt and Nick Tilsley in the long running ITV soap.

Fans were overjoyed at the news, as they took to the comments to congratulate the star. “Go Colson!” exclaimed one fan, while another excited follower penned: “That’s exciting ekkk!”

A third devastated Corrie fan penned: “The last few episodes have been amazing. So sad you’re gone!! Wishing you all the best and look forward to watching your next journey.”

Earlier this week, Colson joined Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on the This Morning sofa to chat about his exit, where he spoke about the “hard” moment he learnt he’d been given the axe.

Recalling his meeting with producer Kate Brooks, the star said: “Getting told is hard, hearing the words – I tried really hard not to put the words into her mouth. As soon as I knew, I was at peace with what was going on.” Despite asking to be killed off from the soap, Colson has also revealed he had no idea how brutal it would be.”

Although some actors would be gutted to hear their character was going to be killed off, Colson said if there was a way he wanted to go, that would be it.

“For me to go, I would want to leave. I would want to die, I would want the door to be shut, so then I can kind of know in my head that Corrie has been this, Corrie has done that, and it is now done, and Craig’s journey is over,” he told Ben and Cat.

Emmerdale’s Vinny set for tough ‘journey’ ahead as Kammy twist confirms new storyline

Emmerdale aired an unexpected twist for Vinny Dingle and his pal Kammy Hadiq on Friday night with a near kiss teasing one character’s big new storyline on the ITV soap

There was an unexpected scene for one Emmerdale duo on Friday night, as Vinny Dingle tried to kiss his friend Kammy Hadiq.

The moment came as a shock to them both, with Vinny currently engaged to Gabby Thomas on the ITV soap. Vinny’s sexuality isn’t something that has been explored on the soap, but judging by his reaction he’s set to be left confused by his moment with Kammy.

Kammy didn’t make much of a deal out of it but when he did mock the situation a flustered Vinny begged him to stay quiet. Fearing Gabby’s reaction and seemingly trying to understand himself why he tried to kiss Kammy, the character was panicked and decided to act as if it did not happen.

Vinny will now be torn over what’s happened trying to understand his feelings and his sexuality, ahead of his wedding to fiancée Gabby. But Kammy actor Shebz Miah has told The Mirror that Vinny won’t be alone on this “journey” ahead, as Kammy vows to support his pal.

The actor teased their relationship would “progress” while Vinny seemingly keeps what happened between them. As Vinny’s huge new storyline kicks off, we will see him turn to Kammy, while Shebz suggested that for now at least there was no romance planned for the pair.

There was an unexpected scene for one Emmerdale duo on Friday night

He explained: “Kammy’s so relaxed with it and I think he’s so comfortable with himself it’s that, it doesn’t affect him. The only thing that does affect him is like, ‘you are getting married to Gabs, you need to understand the situation’. So Kammy isn’t bothered about the kiss, he more feels for him because now it’s opened up this different perspective on the relationship that Vinny has with people.

“Kammy’s trying to I guess, support him on his journey and trying to understand and make it easier for Vinny and help him and guide him as to what is going on because he is obviously in a position where he’d not entirely sure I guess.”

On what’s ahead, the star went on: “We start to see this journey that they go on, Kammy and Vinny and all these factors Kammy does sort of bring up and as their relationship progresses.

“We do talk about the elephant in the room. There’s conversations had and Kammy and Vinny do try to address it in whatever way that is which we’ll have to wait and find out I guess.

Kammy didn't make much of a deal out of it but when he did mock the situation a flustered Vinny begged him to stay quiet

“So yeah, Kammy’s initial reaction, it’s not about the kiss, it’s more about the repercussions of everything else from this kiss.” Shebz went on: “As we progress in the story, Kammy does address these different things and it does become an important talking point for the both of them but ultimately Kammy’s objective is just to support him whatever that is with this journey that we go on.”

On Kammy not liking Vinny the way his pal possibly likes him, he said: “Kammy doesn’t fancy him but they are very good friends. I think Kammy’s built this relationship with him.

“I think it’s beautiful because Kammy and Vinny’s dynamic is they’re so different, even physically when you look at them they’re very very different but Kammy does have a soft spot for him and he does really want to help him because he understand that from the kiss, it’s a big thing so Kammy does really want to support him on this journey however that is. So yeah, they’ve got a genuine friendship but I think it’s more that Kammy does want to help him out, he’s obviously going through a lot from everything that’s happening.”
