David Beckham sends ‘powerful’ message to son Brooklyn amid heartbreaking family rift!

‘They aren’t giving up on him’

David Beckham has sent a “powerful” message to son Brooklyn, despite the ongoing family rift, one expert has claimed.

Over the past few months, the rumours of a family feud between the Beckham’s have deepened. It’s believed that 26-year-old Brooklyn, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, have fallen out with David, Victoria and the family.

Both David and Victoria shared their own Father’s Day posts yesterday (June 15). But it seems their messages had more than a hint of “sadness”.

David Beckham ‘sends message’ to Brooklyn

Speaking exclusively to Entertainment Daily, relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd, Louella Alderson, explained the deeper meaning behind the posts.

In David Beckham’s Father’s Day post, he wrote: “My most important and favourite job in life is being a dad. I’m so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what.

“Mummy, thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father. There is no greater gift in life than making me a dad. Happy Father’s Day. I love you kiddies more than you could imagine.”

Victoria Beckham also made her own Instagram post. She wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to the best daddy there is! You always lead with love and our four beautiful children are a reflection of that. We all love you so much!!”

    ‘Indirect’ meaning behind the posts

Louella told ED!: “The Beckhams’ Father’s Day posts appeared like they were reaching out to Brooklyn in a public way. Given they aren’t on speaking terms at the moment, Brooklyn Beckham could be ignoring their messages or have them blocked. So the posts could’ve been a way of reaching him indirectly.”

But it seems the messages hold a hope of reconciliation and that David and Victoria seem willing to “welcome” Brooklyn back.

Louella continued: “David’s message ‘I will always be here for you no matter what,’ suggests he is reassuring Brooklyn of his love and support, regardless of any current issues they are having. And when Brooklyn is ready to reconnect, they’ll welcome him back with open arms.”

When Brooklyn is ready to reconnect, they’ll welcome him back with open arms.

However, both posts also had a huge element of “sadness” to them, as their family used to be extremely close.

“Their posts had an element of sadness and longing to them. They have always been a tight-knit family, so to feel like they have lost Brooklyn must be heartbreaking for them.”

    ‘Appears to run deeper’

Louella also pointed out that this feud seems different to the other arguments they have had with Brooklyn and Nicola over the years.

She explained: “They have fallen out with Brooklyn and his wife in the past. But they made up eventually. This argument appears to run deeper than previous ones and it may take more time and effort for the relationships to heal.”

However, by including Brooklyn in their messages, David and Victoria are making “an effort” to fix their family.

Louella concluded: “Making such an effort to include him in their posts sends a strong message that their door is always open. It is a subtle but powerful message that they aren’t giving up on him.”

  • Duchess Sophie and Princess Kate met with huge applause as they step out for Garter Day!

Duchess Sophie and Princess Kate met with huge applause as they step out for Garter Day!

They wowed the crowds with complimentary looks!

Princess Kate and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh were cheered by royal fans as they arrived at Windsor Castle for the annual Garter Day procession and service on Monday (June 16) afternoon.

However, the Princess of Wales and Prince Edward’s wife were not attired in the distinctive ceremonial robes worn by members of the Order of the Garter for the occasion, including by their husbands.

Instead, Kate, 43, and Sophie, 60, stood out in matching outfits that evidenced their strong bond, which has been previously likened to that of sisters.

What Princess Kate and Sophie wore for Garter Day 2025

According to reports, Princess Kate wore an ensemble by designer Self Portrait.

It is believed the cream chiffon midi dress and blazer bodice may be the same combo she wore for May’s VE Day concert.

However, for Garter Day, she accessorised her look with hat by Sean Barrett. Furthermore, it is believed Princess Kate was wearing a pair of vintage pearl earrings.

Sophie, meanwhile, also looked stunning in a pale pink wrap-style dress, also with matching hat. And as they arrived for Monday’s event – with the Order of Garter created nearly 700 years ago by King Edward III – both Kate and Sophie were applauded by impressed, devoted supporters.

In a video shared to X, Sophie and Kate were seen arriving at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle together. Applause and cheers were heard.

Do Kate and Sophie get along?

According to reports, the bond between Princess Kate and Duchess Sophie has always been strong – and may have grown even closer over the last year.

Royal author Ingrid Seward believes the pair are “incredibly kind girls”, who are almost like siblings.

She told HELLO! in November 2024: “They have a sisterly bond and Sophie is like the older sister Kate never had.”

The commentator went on: “They are both protective of their children. Sophie has had a young family. So she knows what it’s like trying to protect them while being in the royal world.”

Furthermore, correspondents have also suggested Sophie’s support has been increasingly clear as Kate has returned to public duties following chemotherapy.

The duchess stood alongside Kate for 2024’s Remembrance Sunday service – and even placed a supportive hand on Kate’s back. And it was also noted in December how Sophie sat next to Kate for her annual Together at Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey.

Additionally, biographer Claudia Joseph reflected to The Sun in the weeks following Kate’s cancer announcement how Sophie may be able to empathise about Kate’s journey into the royal family.

She said at the time: “[Sophie] is 17 years older than Kate and has seen and done it all before.”

Sophie is a true confidante and sounding board.

Ms Joseph went on about Kate: “She has found that Sophie is a true confidante and sounding board. And they have developed a mutual respect and an unbreakable bond.”

  • Trooping the Colour: Queen Camilla’s ‘tension’ and ‘anxiety’ over her outfit!

Trooping the Colour: Queen Camilla’s ‘tension’ and ‘anxiety’ over her outfit!

An expert believes she may have been “masking” her feelings

Queen Camilla may have been “masking” her true feelings as she struggled during Trooping the Colour, a body language expert reckons.

Viewers of Saturday’s (June 14) event celebrating King Charles’ official birthday may have noticed Queen Camilla adjusting her outfit on at least two occasions.

TV cameras picked up Queen Camilla looking tense as she seemed to experience some clothing difficulties. Even commentator Gyles Brandreth couldn’t help but admit the king’s wife was “having some anxiety” over ensuring the garment stayed on.

Queen Camilla ‘struggles’ at Trooping the Colour

However, speaking exclusively to Royal Insider on behalf of Spin Genie, “Human Lie Detector” and body language analyst Darren Stanton believes Queen Camilla handled the matter “in a very restrained and composed way”.

The weekend’s broadcast was only about 15 minutes in when royal family fans may have spied Queen Camilla having some trouble.

As she and King Charles were driven by carriage from Buckingham Palace to make their way down The Mall, it became apparent she didn’t want to let go of her hat. It wasn’t clear whether that may be down to a breeze, or any other reason.

But as her fingers seemed to grip the brim of her headwear, Darren detected unease underneath Queen Camilla’s facial expressions.

‘The smile didn’t fully engage her face’

He told Royal Insider: “The clearest body language signal came from what we call a masking smile. That’s when someone smiles to conceal inner discomfort, anxiety, or frustration.

“In Camilla’s case, the smile didn’t fully engage her face. We weren’t seeing the natural crow’s feet or genuine warmth that would come with a relaxed, authentic smile. Instead, it was a more surface-level expression. A polite social smile that’s often used to deflect from what someone is actually feeling.”

Darren also feels Queen Camilla’s looks were not focused on the event that was unfolding around her.

There was a definite tension there.

He claimed: “It’s also telling that her eyes were doing a lot of the work – focused inward, not on the crowd or the spectacle.  They were clearly managing the internal dialogue of ‘don’t let this hat slip’. There was a definite tension there, even if subtly expressed.”

    Queen Camilla ‘was very mindful’

Nonetheless, Darren still maintains Queen Camilla, even if she was distracted by her hat, pulled it off in front a worldwide audience of millions. Her role, that is – not the hat.

Darren added: “I would agree with Gyles Brandreth’s comment – there were definite signs of anxiety around the hat. But Camilla handled it in a very restrained and composed way, mindful of the occasion and the cameras.

“Removing the hat might have been the logical solution, but in that context, it could have drawn even more attention – something she was clearly trying to avoid.”

  • Sad reason Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez still haven’t set a wedding date revealed!

Sad reason Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez still haven’t set a wedding date revealed!

‘We’ve come close many times, but something stops me’

Last week, Strictly star Gorka Marquez spoke about his wedding to fiancée Gemma Atkinson, and why it’s on hold for now. Now, in a heartbreaking letter to mark Father’s Day, Gemma has revealed what’s behind her reluctance to tie the knot.

Former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star Gemma, 40, and Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka, 34, got engaged in 2021. The couple share two children together – Mia, six, and Thiago, two.

But despite being a happy little family, last year, Gemma and Gorka revealed their nuptials were being pushed back for another year. However, more than a year on, their wedding day is still on hold. And Gemma has shared a fresh insight as to why…

Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez wedding news

Speaking to OK! magazine last spring, Gemma explained why they still hadn’t set a date for their big day. Originally, she hinted they had envisioned getting wed when Mia was old enough to be part of the celebrations. But then she said that they wanted to wait until Thiago could be involved.

“We’d like Thiago to be involved now so we’re going to have to wait another year or so,” Gemma said in April 2024. “When we first got engaged we said we’ll get Mia walking down the aisle and then Thiago came along… and there’s no time!”

    ‘It doesn’t matter’

Fast forward to June 2025, and still no wedding date is in the diary for the pair. Gorka – who took part in Soccer Aid over the weekend (June 15) – explained why to Hello! last week.

He said: “It will be nice, but we wanted to get married before, but then we had Mia. Then Covid happened. Then after Covid we got pregnant with Thiago. [Gemma] was like: ‘I’m not going to have a wedding pregnant and after the pregnancy she’s like I need to get in shape.’ And also Thiago now is still not independent so we say when they are old enough they both can walk and be independent. Imagine being on your wedding and he’s crying and just wants Mummy.”

I don’t want to lose that remaining tie to you.

Despite wanting to tie the knot with Gemma, Gorka added: “The thing is that we are going to get married, but we are happy how we are, we have two children. It doesn’t matter if we sign a document or not.”

    Gemma’s wedding heartbreak

However, in an open letter to her late dad over the weekend, Gemma has now shared why she is putting off her big day.

In a letter shared with OK!, she revealed that walking down the aisle without her late dad might just be too much to bear. Gemma’s dad David died of a heart attack when Gemma was 17 years old. He was 52.

Opening up, Gemma wrote: “I’m getting married, Dad! One day, anyway. I think one of the reasons we’ve not done it yet is because of you. We’ve come close many times, but something stops me.

“I’m now the last Atkinson in the family line and if I give up my name, there’s no more of us. I don’t want to lose that remaining tie to you. Not having you walk me down the aisle… maybe I’ll just stay engaged for a bit longer.”

She also told David about Gorka: “I think you’d be really happy with my choice of fiancé. You’d get such a kick out of Gorka being a professional dancer – you loved to dance – and I know you’d adore your grandchildren. Just like you adored me. I wish you’d got to meet him. I often feel sad that he never got to shake your hand. You only ever met my high school boyfriend. That’s hard for me.”

  • EastEnders star Timothy West’s will reveals his final act of generosity after death aged 90!

EastEnders star Timothy West’s will reveals his final act of generosity after death aged 90!

Timothy played Stan Carter on the BBC soap

Former EastEnders actor Timothy West, best known by many soap fans for playing Stan Carter, died at the age of 90 back in November – and now the charities he’s left money to in his will has been revealed. The news comes after his cause of death was revealed at an inquest back in May.

The actor died on November 12, surrounded by his loved ones. Timothy was receiving care at St George’s Hospital during his final days. It was announced at the time that he had died “peacefully in his sleep”.

Death of EastEnders star Timothy West aged 90

The actor was known for playing Stan Carter on the BBC soap EastEnders between 2014-2015. Stan was the father of both Shirley and Tina Carter, and grandfather to Mick Carter and Dean Wicks.

Timothy also starred in the show Brass between 1983-1990, in which he played the roles of Bradley Hardacre and Winston Churchill. During his lengthy career, Timothy also appeared on shows such as Last Tango in Halifax, Gentleman Jack, and Coronation Street.

He also had a more than 60-year marriage to actress Prunella Scales (Fawlty Towers, Howards End). The couple married in 1963, with Timothy sadly leaving behind his wife and children Juliet, Joseph and Samuel.

Timothy West’s family pay tribute to late father

Timothy’s family announced the star’s death in a statement the day after he died.

The statement read: “After a long and extraordinary life on and off the stage, our darling father Timothy West died peacefully in his sleep yesterday evening. He was 90 years old. Tim was with friends and family at the end. He leaves his wife Prunella Scales, to whom he was married for 61 years, a sister, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

“All of us will miss him terribly.”

    Inquest revealed cause of death

Back in May, the cause of Timothy’s death was revealed at an inquest. He died “peacefully with his family around him” at a care home where he was receiving palliative care after a three-month stay in hospital following a fall.

Members of his family attended a hearing into his death at Westminster Coroner’s Court via video link.

Assistant coroner Ellie Oakley said: “Timothy West had an unwitnessed fall near his home on August 11, 2024, which resulted in a significant traumatic brain injury. It is not possible to determine how the fall happened and there is no evidence of others being involved.

“He was treated in hospital for around three months before being discharged to a care home on November 5, 2024, for palliative care. Unfortunately he was not well enough to be discharged to his home despite receiving appropriate care in the care home. He died on November 12, 2024.”

    Contents of his will revealed

Earlier today (June 16), Timothy’s heartwarming generosity was revealed in his will. He left an estate worth £109,892 estate. And, from that, set aside tens of thousands of pounds for a number of charities close to his heart.

The actor left £15,000 to The Combined Theatrical Charities Appeals Council, a fundraising organisation which supports UK stage charities. He also left £10,000 each to the Bristol Old Vic and Theatre Royal Trust, Southwark Cathedral, arts charity Snipe Charitable Trust and aid organisation Medecins Sans Frontieres UK.

Another £5,000 went to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. He also left £20,000 to his sister Patricia and the remainder of his estate – almost £30,000 – to his wife Prunella Scales.

An amendment to the will also reportedly showed that the couple jointly decided to give their son Samuel £300,000 in 2024. This was to help with his home renovations, they said.

  • Trooping the Colour: King Charles and Queen Camilla’s ‘hidden message’ with their behaviour!

Trooping the Colour: King Charles and Queen Camilla’s ‘hidden message’ with their behaviour!

The annual Trooping the Colour ceremony was held on June 14

King Charles and Queen Camilla seemingly sent a subtle yet powerful message with their body language during the Trooping the Colour celebrations on June 14.

As thousands gathered in London for Trooping the Colour, one of the biggest talking points wasn’t just the military parade or the RAF flypast; it was the royal family’s body language, especially that of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

According to body language expert Darren Stanton, their appearance carried a “hidden message” about unity, strength and resilience.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren broke down the key visual cues displayed by the senior royals.

King Charles and Queen Camilla’s ‘hidden message’ at Trooping the Colour

Trooping the Colour marks the monarch’s official birthday with a parade.

According to Darren, King Charles, 76, looked more confident than ever during this year’s celebration, which marked his third Trooping the Colour as monarch.

“Charles had a really big beam on his face,” Darren noted. “It was clear that he was loving taking part. It was all something, obviously, his mother used to do. Charles was quite unsure of himself. But now we see a much higher level of confidence this year.”

As he watched the flypast on the palace balcony, Darren said Charles appeared “elated” and “mesmerised,” suggesting that despite having attended countless ceremonies in the past, the moment still held personal meaning.

“He seemed really excited,” Darren added. “It wasn’t forced. We could see that the laugh lines and crow’s feet around their eyes were there, signs of genuine engagement. They were genuinely happy to be there.”

The glances between Camilla and the king carry hidden messages typical of the bond visible within deep, long-standing relationships.

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla‘s choice to wear white was no coincidence. Darren noted the significance of her fashion choice, describing it as a subtle signal of neutrality and serenity.

“It’s almost a spiritual colour. White is her go-to default colour when attending these sort of events,” Darren explained.

But it wasn’t just the colour of her coat that caught attention; it was her silent, affectionate exchanges with the king.

“The glances between Camilla and the king carry hidden messages typical of the bond visible within deep, long-standing relationships,” Darren noted.

“It’s clear that they’re incredibly in love. Camilla is the love of the king’s life, and their exchanged smiles and glances yesterday were really touching.”

Princess Anne at Trooping the Colour 2025

While the king and queen, 77, shared moments of warmth, Charles’ sister Princess Anne once again cemented her status as the backbone of the royal family.

“Princess Anne stood strong with her arms behind her back, that’s a very authoritarian posture,” Darren observed. “This isn’t unlike Anne. She’s known as the hardest-working royal, and she always takes her duties very seriously. ”

Darren described her as the “matriarch” of the family, quietly anchoring the group with her no-nonsense demeanour.

Darren also highlighted the emotional undercurrent of closeness and connection radiating from the royal family throughout the event.

“What is clear, which doesn’t always come across in public, is that they’re all incredibly close to each other,” he said. “William often shows signs of endearment towards his dad. Despite him being the king, he’s still his father.”

This dynamic wasn’t just between father and son.

According to Darren, the entire family projected a unified front, which is especially powerful following the challenges of recent years.

He said: “The royals are at an all-time high in terms of popularity. They also seem closer than ever. I think they are much closer than is often known or public perception.

“You do glimpse moments of that when they look at each other. You get the impression that they share a very deep love for each other, and the strength of their bond is visible in their interactions with one another. It appeared to be a faultless event.”

Katie Price issued warning after Emily Andre swipe has ‘knock-on effect’ on Peter’s young family!

‘Peter moved on a long time ago’

Former glamour model Katie Price has reportedly been warned to leave her ex-husband, Peter Andre, and his family alone.

The news arrives soon after Katie made shady remarks about Peter’s wife, Emily Andre, on Katherine Ryan’s podcast, What’s My Age Again?.

Katie and Peter, who share daughter Princess, 17, and son Junior, 20, split in 2009. Since their divorce, Peter remarried doctor Emily and started a family of their own, welcoming daughters Amelia, 11, and Arabella, one, and son Theo, eight.

Katie had two more kids, Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10, with her third husband, Kieran Hayler, who she split from in 2021.

Peter Andre ‘fed up’ with Katie Price

After living separate lives for more than 15 years, Katie admitted to Katherine that Princess can’t imagine she and Peter were ever together because she and Emily are “just so different”.

In response, Katie said: “I said to her: ‘I was with your dad for six years – trust me, we had a laugh, banter together. We did.’”

She continued: “She can’t believe that whenever he went everywhere or me, we were together with the kids – we’d go as a family. She’s like: ‘Emily doesn’t do all that,’ for Pete.”

It has a knock-on effect on his family, especially Emily.

Katie’s exchange about Emily didn’t go unnoticed, reportedly causing Peter Andre to want to be left alone.

“Peter moved on a long time ago and is fed up of her talking about him because it was such a long time ago that they split,” an inside source alleged to OK!.

“It has a knock-on effect on his family, especially Emily. He knew their marriage was over when they split up 16 years ago and he just wants her to leave it in the past too. He’s very happy with his life.”

ED! has contacted Katie and Peter’s reps for comment.

    ‘It’s every dad’s nightmare’

In his latest column for OK!, Peter opened up about the rumours that Princess Andre will be joining ITV2 dating reality show Love Island.

“There’s been a lot of talk about Princess going on Love Island, and I don’t know where it came from. She’s not 18 yet, so it’s not even an option,” the Mysterious Girl hitmaker.

“Whether she chooses to do it in the future is up to her, but of course it’s every dad’s nightmare.”

However, Peter recognised how many big names have launched their careers from the show.

“Then again, I look at people like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, and others, and see how happy they were in their relationships that came from the show. It’s about what makes Princess happy at the end of the day. I wouldn’t stop her, but if she asks my opinion, I’ll be honest,” he added.

‘It’s a football match, not an Ann Summers party’ said one viewer

The TV star, 40, returned to screens on Sunday (June 15) to host the charity football match, alongside Dermot O’Leary.

The event – taking place at Old Trafford – saw the likes of Alex Brooker, Tony Bellew and Big Zuu take part in the game.

But it’s fair to say it was Alex that got plenty of people talking long before kick-off…

Soccer Aid made its return on Sunday (June 15), raising money for UNICEF.

For the show, host Dermot rocked a stylish and smart two-piece navy suit, teamed with a white shirt and a brown tie.

Co-host Alex Scott, meanwhile, looked incredible in a bold dark red leather dress that boasted a corset top and a thigh-high split. The fancy frock was also adorned with a number two – her Arsenal squad number – and a Soccer Aid patch, as well as her surname ‘Scott’ stitched on the back, just below the waistband.

And it didn’t take viewers long to share their thoughts on Alex’s outfit.

Fans slam Alex’s outfit as ‘inappropriate’

Rushing over to X, viewers were divided. One person said: “Alex Scott, it’s a football match, not an Ann Summers party.”

Someone else chimed in: “Alex Scott cannot even move her limbs in that outfit she’s wearing.”

A third person also quipped: “What on earth made her think that was the outfit to choose for a charity soccer match?”

Echoing their thoughts, another viewer wrote: “Alex Scott’s outfit not that appropriate lol but who am I to judge.”

    ‘Alex looks amazing tonight’

However, other people thought the opposite and were left swooning over the footy star.

“Appreciation post for Alex Scott’s outfit… absolutely stunning!!” said one fan. Another added: “Alex Scott is so beautiful.” A third then gushed: “God Alex looks amazing tonight.”

    Who won Soccer Aid?

At the end of the game, and following the friendly but competitive England and World XI showdown, the latter team soared to victory – thanks to a goal by Big Zuu.

Founder Robbie Williams also announced alongside Dermot and Alex that a huge £15,280,163 had been raised for UNICEF during the match.

Lewis Hamilton’s scathing radio messages at the Canadian Grand Prix reveal deep frustrations — and Ferrari won’t like what they hear. The unbroadcast team radio exposes sharp criticism that could shake the Scuderia as the seven-time world champion pulls no punches during a tense race weekend.

Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton once again had to watch on as his teammate Charles Leclerc came out on top of their intra-team battle at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton outqualified Charles Leclerc on Saturday after the Monegasque driver was caught out on his final flying lap on Saturday.

The Canadian Grand Prix has been a happy hunting ground for Hamilton, having won in Montreal on seven previous occasions.

However, the seven-time world champion is still waiting for his first podium as a Ferrari driver.

For the first time in Hamilton’s 18-season F1 career, he’s now failed to record a top-three finish in the opening 10 races of a campaign, excluding Sprint events.

Danica Patrick was stunned by one of Hamilton’s comments during the race weekend in Canada, but he had reasons to be positive going into Sunday’s race.

The podium was in sight for Hamilton when he was sitting on the grid, but by the time he entered the pits for the first time, it was once again a pipe dream.

Leclerc became increasingly frustrated with his strategy, and while Hamilton wasn’t exactly blessed by a perfectly timed pit stop, he was dealing with far greater issues in the car that team principal Fred Vasseur will be very concerned about.

Lewis Hamilton had ‘no rear’ and brake issues throughout the Canadian Grand Prix

Hamilton was told by race engineer Riccardo Adami that he had lost 20 points of downforce at the start of the race.

Martin Brundle suggested while commentating for Sky Sports F1 that this was set to lose Hamilton 0.5 seconds per lap.

It’s unclear what happened to Hamilton’s car to lose that downforce, but on top of that, Hamilton was left lost for words as to what was going wrong with his car.

He said: “Is that rear down for us? Because the rear is loose,” to which he received the reply, “It’s quite balanced.”

Later in the race, Hamilton reported: “Yeah, it’s pretty insane. I’ve lost so much time behind those guys.”

“Why is this car so slow,” was Hamilton’s next confused message which was followed up with, “Out of power, out of pace, boys.”

“Yeah, I’ve got no rear,” Hamilton told Adami next before reporting, “Brake pedal is getting low. Yeah, I’m running out of brakes.

“Yeah, I can’t stop the car,” said Hamilton which led to Adami stating: “I do see the brake pedal getting long, as you say. I’m trying to live with it.”

“Where have I lost 25 seconds?” asked Hamilton when told how far behind Leclerc he was, despite starting three positions ahead of the Monegasque driver, highlighting just how bad the problems were for the 40-year-old.

Ferrari radio messages continue to be an issue for Lewis Hamilton after Mercedes move

It speaks volumes that Hamilton’s old race engineer Peter Bonnington had just guided Andrea Kimi Antonelli to one of his best results in Formula 1 while Hamilton was once again struggling with the Scuderia.

Hamilton was left confused by Ferrari’s tactics during qualifying when he didn’t quite understand their tyre strategy.

It’s been a common theme throughout the season and while Hamilton has downplayed any issues, it’s hard to ignore that both the seven-time world champion and Leclerc regularly have disagreements over the team radio during races.

These are relatively common across every team, but when Ferrari continue to underperform, it means every potential issue is more closely studied as people try to work out exactly what’s going wrong.

Revealed: The Unheard Team Radio That Explains Fernando Alonso’s Frustration with Aston Martin During the Drama-Filled Canadian Grand Prix

Fernando Alonso finished the Canadian Grand Prix in seventh place behind the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, having qualified ahead of the Monégasque.

It has been a tough start to the season for Alonso, having failed to score points in the first eight rounds, owing to a mix of misfortune and poor reliability.

It is his worst start to a season since his Minardi days, having only scored eight points in 10 rounds, although Alonso has managed to outqualify teammate Lance Stroll in every round so far.

Despite the difficulties, Alonso has powered through and in Canada he took his points tally to eight with a great drive that saw him once again finish in the points.

Although it was not all smooth sailing for the Spaniard, after he encountered some issues with his engineer, Andrew Vizard, in some unheard team radio.

Fernando Alonso becomes frustrated with engineer in Canadian Grand Prix

Alonso was hopeful of retaining a top 10 finish but knew it could be difficult to keep the McLaren of Lando Norris behind along with Leclerc.

After a decent start, Alonso lost places to both and found himself in seventh place. He would later become frustrated over team radio after Aston Martin pitted him and he came out in traffic, with his engineer not giving him crucial information.

Alonso: “I need a target lap. I tell you every two laps and you don’t answer!”

Vizard: “Looking more like plus 15 now.”

Alonso: “That’s why I need a f—– target […] I don’t have the picture and the lap time of Hulkenberg. I don’t know anything in the race. Completely blind.”

Vizard: “It won’t be long, it just depends when we start to lose the tyre. That’s all it is. The last lap was the first one, we lost to Hulkenberg. That’s the only target.”

Alonso: “Sure, but I have the yellow flag, so it’s not really representative.”

Vizard: “Yeah, that’s our point. So pace is OK to Hulkenberg, that’s all that matters.”

Alonso crossed the line in seventh place, which was the team’s best result this season and only his second points finish of the year.

Fernando Alonso surpasses Michael Schumacher feat in Canadian Grand Prix

Alonso has now completed the most laps out of anyone on the grid or indeed in F1, having completed all 70 laps of the race.

The Spaniard only needed to complete 51 laps of the race to surpass Michael Schumacher’s record of 1,138 laps at the track.

It is an impressive feat considering how successful Schumacher was at the track, with only Lewis Hamilton equalling his win and pole stats.

Alonso’s highest place at Montreal was in 2006 when he won racing for Renault, but since then he has not stood on the top step of the podium.
