Meghan Markle can never be a princess: What is the reason and what is this strange royal rule?

Meghan Markle can never be a princess: What is the reason and what is this strange royal rule?

Meghan Markle, despite being an active member of the Royal Family, does not hold the title “Princess Meghan.” Upon her marriage to Prince Harry, she was granted the title Duchess of Sussex by the late Queen Elizabeth II. However, her official designation, which is lesser known, is Princess Henry of Wales. This unconventional title stems from Harry’s birth name, Henry, and is a designation that women receive when they marry into the royal family. While she is commonly referred to as the Duchess of Sussex, her formal title reflects the tradition of taking on her husband’s name within the royal hierarchy.

The title “Princess” is traditionally bestowed upon women who marry into the British royal family. However, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have chosen not to adopt this title, making it relatively uncommon for modern royal women to do so. Kate Middleton acquired the same title upon her marriage to Prince William, but she too has refrained from using it.

The only royal who currently employs this title is Princess Michael of Kent, originally known as Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz. Princess Michael embraced this title after her marriage to Prince Michael of Kent, who is a cousin of Queen Elizabeth, in 1978. This decision sets her apart from the more recent royal brides who have opted not to use the traditional “Princess” title.

The issue of racism and insensitivity towards cultural representations has been a topic of concern within the British Royal Family. In 2017, Princess Michael of Kent faced criticism for wearing a ‘Blackamoor’ brooch, a piece of jewelry that depicts an African or non-European male in a subservient role, during her initial meeting with Meghan Markle. This incident prompted Princess Michael to issue an apology for the perceived racist undertones.

Meghan Markle’s candid remarks on various subjects, including racism and politics, have sparked discussions about the potential consequences for members of the Royal Family. While there have been speculations about Meghan losing her royal titles due to her outspoken nature, no such action has been taken as of yet. It is worth noting that Meghan and Prince Harry chose to step away from their senior royal roles and relocate to the United States in 2020.

Despite being married to a prince, Meghan Markle will never officially hold the title “Princess Meghan.” This designation is reserved for those born directly into the Royal Family. Had she not been granted the Sussex title upon her marriage, Meghan would have been referred to as Princess Henry, following the traditional naming convention for wives of British princes.

  • Prince Harry ‘profoundly regrets rift he & Meghan Markle have made’ but ‘has no one else to blame’, claims royal expert

Prince Harry ‘profoundly regrets rift he & Meghan Markle have made’ but ‘has no one else to blame’, claims royal expert

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is set to return to the UK for the first time since the revelation of Princess Kate’s cancer treatment. This visit marks his attendance at the ceremony commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the Invictus Games Foundation. However, his wife Meghan Markle and their children are expected to remain in the United States.

Prince Harry’s return to Britain comes amidst an ongoing rift within the royal family. A royal expert has suggested that Harry must profoundly regret the divide he and Meghan have caused, leaving him with no one else to blame. The last time Harry spoke with his father, King Charles, was in February for a 30-minute conversation at Clarence House, shortly after Charles announced his cancer diagnosis.

While Harry attends the Invictus Games anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral, King Charles will be present at the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the year, just two miles away in London. This parallel event highlights the ongoing tensions within the royal family.

The memoir “Spare” by Prince Harry has made explosive revelations, shedding light on the ongoing rift within the British royal family. While the book’s release and the Coronation ceremony are scheduled to conclude around 6 pm, speculation arises about a potential reunion between Harry and the rest of the royals.

Royal expert Jennie Bond offers insightful perspectives on the situation. She suggests that Harry is likely feeling “rather contrite,” as his complaints may seem “trivial” in the face of the cancer battles his father, King Charles III, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, are currently facing.

In her interview with OK! magazine, Bond emphasizes that Harry is not inherently a “bad person” and was once regarded as one of the most popular young royals, known for his fun, modern, and warm demeanor. However, she adds that Harry must profoundly regret the rift he and his wife, Meghan Markle, have caused within the family, leaving him with no one else to blame.

Bond acknowledges that the path to reconciliation with Prince William and Kate Middleton is a “rocky” one, or perhaps even a “near impossible” endeavor, given the depth of the divide.

The upcoming visit of Prince Harry to the United Kingdom for the Invictus Games has sparked discussions among royal experts. Jennie Bond, a renowned royal expert, highlights that while the Duke of Sussex will be attending the event, his presence without any other member of the royal family in attendance will be a telling sign of the rift he and Meghan have caused within the family.

Bond suggests that Prince Harry may now profoundly regret the divide he and Meghan have created, as he has no one else to blame for the situation. She adds that his attendance at the Invictus Games without any royal family member present will be a graphic illustration of the consequences of his actions, despite his professed love for his family.

Reports indicate that Prince Harry is keen to see his father, Prince Charles, during his visit to the UK. A royal source revealed to The Sun that while Harry is usually based in California, which is 5,000 miles away, this visit presents a happy coincidence where they will be just two miles apart on Wednesday.

The expert’s analysis and the reported desire for a potential meeting between Prince Harry and Prince Charles highlight the ongoing tensions and complexities within the royal family dynamics.

It appears that Prince Harry is eager to reunite with his father, King Charles III, as the monarch continues his recovery. Speculations suggest another potential meeting between the two next week. However, it is unlikely that Prince William will be part of this reunion. Prince Harry has leveled criticisms against his brother, and the two have not spoken since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. Prince William will be away from London on Thursday and has scheduled engagements in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly on Friday, making his presence at any potential family gathering improbable.

Meeting a partner’s family for the first time can be a nerve-wracking experience, and for Meghan Markle, it meant being introduced to the British royal family. The Duchess of Sussex has recently shared her initial impression of Kate Middleton after meeting her at a private dinner hosted by Prince Harry, approximately one year into their relationship.

The couple’s romance began in 2016 when Harry spotted Meghan on Instagram and subsequently asked her out for dinner at Soho House in London. They continued dating, even spending a week camping together in the wilderness. After Harry and Meghan’s engagement in 2017, they gave an interview to the BBC’s Mishal Hussein, recounting Meghan’s first encounter with Kate.

During the interview, Harry revealed that he had kept their relationship private for some time before introducing Meghan to his family. He stated, “It was exciting. I mean, I’d been seeing her for a period of time when I literally didn’t tell anybody at all. And then William was longing to meet her, and so was Catherine, so you know, being our neighbors, we managed to get that in a couple of — well, quite a few times now, and Catherine has been absolutely…”

This anecdote provides insight into the early stages of Meghan’s integration into the royal family, highlighting the anticipation and excitement surrounding her introduction to key members like Kate Middleton.

Meghan Markle provided a concise yet positive response, describing her experience of meeting the late Queen Elizabeth II as “wonderful.” She commended the royal family for their warm welcome and recounted the special moment when she first met the Queen. Meghan expressed her appreciation for Prince Harry’s perspective, which allowed her to understand the Queen not only as a monarch deserving of honor and respect but also as a beloved grandmother. This multifaceted view, coupled with the opportunity to spend time with the Queen, fostered a deep understanding and profound respect for the remarkable woman she was.

Promoted Stories have shed light on the significant changes in the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle since their departure from the royal family. The couple, now residing in California, America, with their two children Archie and Lilibet, made the decision to step away from their royal duties.

In their highly publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Meghan alleged that a senior member of the royal family had expressed concerns about the potential skin tone of their then-unborn son, Archie. This revelation sparked widespread discussions and scrutiny.

Following the interview, Harry and Meghan continued to share their perspectives and experiences in their Netflix documentary series “Harry & Meghan,” further fueling discussions about the inner workings of the royal family.

More recently, Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” has garnered significant attention, becoming one of the fastest-selling books of all time. Within its first week, the book sold over 3.2 million copies worldwide, according to reports from the Los Angeles Times. In “Spare,” Harry delves deeper into his personal experiences and makes additional claims about the royal family.

These developments have kept the public’s attention focused on the ongoing dynamics between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the British monarchy, sparking debates and discussions across various platforms.

Divorce looming between Harry and Meghan? The Sussex are reportedly on the verge of splitting up, per report

The relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has reportedly hit a rough patch, according to a source close to the couple. Woman’s Day New Zealand claims that disagreements and fights between the two have intensified in recent weeks, leading Harry to make a temporary but significant decision.

The source suggests that the Sussex couple has been experiencing “too many disagreements related to their upcoming projects,” which include a Netflix miniseries and the release of Harry’s memoirs on January 10. One point of contention seems to be Meghan’s openness in discussing her life and the royal family.

It is alleged that Harry resents Meghan’s tendency to “reveal too much,” indicating a potential clash in their approaches to sharing personal details. The report highlights the challenges the couple may be facing as they navigate their public roles and individual projects.

According to an insider’s claims, there appears to be tension between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle regarding their media projects and personal revelations. The insider alleges that Harry believes Meghan has disclosed too much information, some of which may not be entirely accurate. Specifically, the source states, “He is said to blame Meghan for going off plan and telling too much of her own truth in the docuseries, and that her truth is not always the truth.”

Furthermore, the insider suggests that the couple’s highly anticipated Netflix series could be in jeopardy, much like Meghan’s previously shelved children’s series “Pearl.” The source cites financial concerns, stating, “And considering their California home is mortgaged to the hilt, they need the money.”

The insider also speculates about the possibility of a divorce within the next two years, claiming that not only is Harry upset, but Meghan is also reportedly “tired” of her husband and may be seeking an “exit plan” in the near future.

It’s important to note that these claims originate from an unnamed insider, and their validity or motivations cannot be independently verified. As with any unconfirmed reports, it’s advisable to exercise caution and await official statements or credible sources before drawing conclusions.

The rumors circulating in London, according to royal expert Tom Bower, suggest that Meghan Markle is growing weary of her marriage to Prince Harry. There is speculation that the 41-year-old Duchess of Sussex may soon decide to negotiate a separation deal with King Charles III, potentially leading to the dissolution of their marriage.

However, Bower claims that the couple is currently willing to remain married, as they share a common goal of tarnishing the reputation of the royal family and promoting their own “Sussex brand.” He states, “They are bound by the common business plan to trash the royals as much as they can, promoting the Sussex brand.”

Bower acknowledges that this endeavor may have diminishing returns, stating, “But it’s a dying cause. I mean, there’s not much you can say — diminishing returns. And she’ll need a new career.” This suggests that Meghan Markle may eventually need to pursue alternative career opportunities beyond her current efforts to undermine the royal family.

Prince Harry explains why he never hugged the Queen

Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” has garnered significant attention and sparked discussions around his revelations about the royal family. One particular claim that has resonated with many is his assertion that he was never able to hug his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The highly anticipated book, which was released on January 10th, has already broken records, selling over 400,000 copies in the UK on its first day, making it the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever. In the memoir, Prince Harry shares intimate details about his life, including an alleged physical altercation with his brother Prince William, his emotional struggles following the death of his mother Princess Diana, and the last words he exchanged with Queen Elizabeth before her passing in September.

The claim about not being able to hug the Queen has struck a chord with many of Prince Harry’s supporters online. A clip from the audiobook version of “Spare,” shared on TikTok, has further amplified the discussion around this particular revelation. While the memoir has undoubtedly sparked controversy, this specific claim has elicited sympathy from Prince Harry’s fans, highlighting the complex dynamics within the royal family.

The video featured Prince Harry narrating a passage from his memoir where he described watching his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, enjoying a concert during her Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2002. He expressed a desire to hug her at that moment but acknowledged that such an act would have been unacceptable given the formal nature of their relationship.

Harry then recounted an anecdote about his late mother, Princess Diana, attempting to hug the Queen, which resulted in an awkward encounter. He wondered if his father, now King Charles III, had ever tried to hug the Queen, speculating that it was unlikely.

The passage concluded with Harry recalling how the Queen greeted her son with a firm handshake after returning from a royal tour, rather than a hug.

While I cannot quote directly from the copyrighted material, I’ve summarized the key points raised in the video without reproducing any substantial excerpts from the book.

Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” sheds light on his relationship with his grandfather, Prince Philip. According to Harry, Philip was distant and aloof, rarely present during Harry’s early years due to his busy schedule and frequent travels. This revelation has struck a chord with many readers, evoking sympathy and sadness over the apparent lack of familial warmth and affection in Harry’s upbringing.

Social media users have expressed their dismay, with one TikTok user describing the situation as “sad” and questioning “where is the family love.” Others have commented on the profound impact of such emotional detachment, lamenting the absence of physical affection and cherished grandparental bonds. Harry’s candid account has resonated with many, highlighting the importance of familial connections and the lasting effects of emotional deprivation.

The recent discussion surrounding Prince Harry’s public display of affection with his wife Meghan Markle has sparked reflections on his upbringing and the loss of his mother, Princess Diana. Many have pointed out that Diana was frequently photographed embracing her sons, Harry and William, before her untimely death in 1997 when Harry was only 12 years old.

One commenter recalled Diana’s statement during her divorce, emphasizing her commitment to raising her sons with “lots of hugs.” This poignant detail has taken on deeper significance in the context of Harry’s current situation.

Some have speculated that Harry’s desire for physical affection stems from the void left by his mother’s absence, with one user suggesting that “Harry just wanted his mother he missed being hugged and loved.” Another commenter expressed the view that Meghan Markle provides Harry with a sense of security and love, filling a void left by the loss of his nurturing mother at a young age.

These observations highlight the lasting impact of childhood experiences and the importance of emotional support, particularly in the face of profound loss and trauma.

  • Prince Harry ‘turned down a meeting with King Charles in London because it did not come with security provision’ despite having an offer to stay at a royal residence – as the row over ‘who was avoiding meeting whom’ deepens

Prince Harry ‘turned down a meeting with King Charles in London because it did not come with security provision’ despite having an offer to stay at a royal residence – as the row over ‘who was avoiding meeting whom’ deepens

Prince Harry turned down an invitation by the King to stay at a royal residence when he visited the UK earlier this month because he had ‘security concerns’, it has been claimed.

He is said to have declined his father’s offer because it did not come with any taxpayer-funded personal security provision, which would leave him staying in a ‘visible location with public entrance and exit points and no police protection’.

Instead he chose to stay at a hotel – presumably with members of the public – because it meant he ‘could come and go unseen’, claimed The Telegraph.

The newspaper further maintained that the Duke of Sussex ‘remains devastated’ about the withdrawal of his automatic right to police protection which is still battling the Home Office over through the British courts.

He now has to give the Metropolitan Police 28 days’ notice before coming to the UK if he wants to apply for security provision, with each request assessed on an individual basis by Ravec, the committee which oversees the protection of royalty and public figures.

While it has not been revealed where the King offered Harry a room, St James’ Palace is a strong possibility.

Princess Beatrice has a permanent apartment there, while Princess Anne has a suite of rooms – and a parking place – she uses when staying in London.

Other members of the Royal Family use it on an ad hoc basis.

Moreover it is situated directly adjacent to Clarence House where the King stays when in London.

It would have allowed father and son a place to meet in relative privacy and is guarded round-the-clock by a ‘ring of steel’.

In fact all royal residences – whichever one Harry was offered – feature armed guards at entry and exit points, unlike any London hotel, and boast the most sophisticated security systems in the country to protect working members of the family.

Buckingham Palace has consistently declined to comment on anything to do with Harry and his father.

But a spokesman for the prince chose to issue a statement when he came to London at the beginning of May for a service to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

It strongly suggested that while Harry was keen to meet his father, the King was effectively ‘too busy’ to see him.

However it has since become clear that while His Majesty did indeed have a packed programme of engagements that week, the King had made conciliatory overtures that would have enabled him to see his son.

In all Harry spent three nights in the capital without seeing any family members before meeting his wife, Meghan, at Heathrow airport and flying onto Nigeria for a quasi-royal tour.

In 2020 Harry applied for a judicial review over the decision to strip himself and his family of publicly-funded police protection when they chose to quit royal duties and leave the UK.

Instead a ‘bespoke’ arrangement was created that involved assessing each visit on its merits.

The prince has since accused the Home Office of subjecting him to ‘unlawful and unfair treatment’ and claims he has been singled out and treated ‘less favourably’ than other family members as ‘punishment’.

He has offered to pay for his own security but was firmly told the Metropolitan Police couldn’t be treated as a service for ‘hire’.

In February he conclusively lost his legal challenge and was left with an estimated £1 million bill.

However he has vowed to fight on and says he does not feel safe bringing his wife and children to the UK under the current arrangements.

According to the Telegraph, the prince has only been permitted police protection when taking part in royal events, such as the late Queen’s funeral, or when he was transported to meet the King from Heathrow in February after his cancer diagnosis.

The newspaper – which has been given a wealth of detail about Harry’s security arrangements – claims that when travelling to and from his hotel in February, the prince only had his own, private bodyguards.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment, while a request for comment was put to the Sussexes UK spokesman.

Jeremy Clarkson has beaten off some stiff competition to be declared the UK’s sexiest man for the second year in a row. In a list, which also includes the likes of Hollywood heartthrobs Idris Elba and Tom Holland, Jeremy, who has been dating Lisa Hogan since 2017, came out on top.

The Clarkson’s Farm star scored an impressive nine points out of 10 in the poll. This gave him a slight increase on last years result when he also topped the list.

Second place was a new entry as Spider Man star Tom Holland scored eight points. The Marvel actor, is currently dating his actress and singer Zendaya

Meanwhile, Prince William rounded out the top three despite being near the bottom of the list last year. His brother Prince Harry only managed to limp in at number 47.

England boss Gareth Southgate took fourth place ahead of a massive summer for football as England compete in the Euros. Rounding out the top five was Oscar winner Cillian Murphy who won the best actor gong at this year’s ceremony for his performance in Oppenheimer.

The top ten was completed by Sonic star Idris Elba in sixth place, comedian and BAFTA host Romesh Ranganathan in seventh and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here winner Sam Thompson in eighth. The ninth place went to Hardest Geezer Russ Cook while This Morning host Dermot O’Leary came tenth.

The website asked 2,000 of its female members who they thought the UKs sexiest man was.

They were tasked with scoring a 50-strong list of the past year’s most famous and culturally relevant names from most to least sexy.

Alongside Jeremy’s win there were other surprises on the list. Big screen sex symbol Ryan Reynolds dropped out of the top ten falling from fourth position to 26th. Mike Tindall also faced a significant drop going from third place to 29th.

Jessica Leoni, spokesperson for the organisers IllicitEncounters.com commented: “Clarkson and his farm is a bit like Noah’s ark and just like the animal’s in that story, his victory in the Sexiest Man vote has come in twos.

“We all know about his brash persona, but the latest series of Diddly Squat has shown he can tug at heartstrings too – and clearly his famer look continues to set hearts racing.

“Just like last year’s poll, we knew providing our members with a list of 50 famous names across both genders and asking them to score them on their “sexiness” would throw up some surprises.

“We’re not putting it past Clarkson to go for the three-peat next year!”

Prince William has called for unity and action on tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR) at a landmark event at The Royal Society in central London that is celebrating global efforts on the issue.

The Prince of Wales, who is Patron of the appeal to create The Fleming Initiative, has spoken about the issue for the first time and warned that AMR “threatens our health, our environment, our livelihoods and our future.”

He said: “It is indiscriminate – affecting all countries and all income levels. And we know that poverty and inequality intensify its reach, with poorer parts of the world particularly vulnerable.

“It makes infections harder to treat, increasing the risk of disease spreading, and making medical procedures and treatments much riskier.

“There is an urgent need for new measures to access new and existing vaccines, diagnostics and medicines.”

“We stand at a critical juncture where the interconnections between drug resistance, climate change and environmental degradation cannot be ignored.

It is an issue that the heir has care about passionately for a number of years following a conversation with Dame Sally Davies (former Chief Medical Officer and now UK Special Envoy on AMR).

William’s work with both Search and Rescue and the Air Ambulance showed him the vital importance of antibiotics and what a danger resistance could be in the future.

As one of the biggest global threats we currently face, the movement against AMR was something that he wanted to support which is why he became Patron of the appeal to create The Fleming Initiative last July. The royal hopes to help raise awareness of the issue among the general public.

Antimicrobial resistance occurs when the microbes that cause infections develop resistance to treatments such as antibiotics and as a result infections become difficult or impossible to treat, increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness, disability, and death.

In 2019, antimicrobial resistance was associated with approximately 5 million global deaths a year, and this is set to rise to 10 million caused directly by 2050, with the global economic cost calculated to be 100 trillion USD.

Hosted jointly by the Government and The Royal Society, the event is showcasing the latest scientific and economic research into antimicrobial resistance, celebrate citizen and civil society campaigns to raise awareness of the issue and give a platform to thought leaders.

It will be attended by Ministers from the Commonwealth and around the world, representatives from UN organisations and antimicrobial resistance champions.

During the event, survivors of antimicrobial resistance will speak of their experiences and Lord Darzi will give an update on The Fleming Initiative which will include a Centre located at St. Mary’s Hospital in London and a global network which will drive a worldwide movement to tackle antimicrobial resistance.

Last July, The Prince became Patron of the appeal to establish the Initiative.

In the evening, William will host a private reception at St. James’ Palace for those who have attended the daytime.

Prince George’s godfather has topped The Sunday Times Rich list in the ‘wealthiest under 40’ category with an estimated net worth of a staggering £10.127bn – thanks to his inherited land and property portfolio.

The Sunday Times Rich List 2024, states the 33-year-old Duke of Westminster has “retained his position” as the richest person under 40 in the UK.

The list charts the wealth of the “350 richest people” in the UK and is based on identifiable wealth, including land property, other assets such as art and racehorses, or significant shares in publicly quoted companies – but it excludes bank accounts.

Hugh Grosvenor was long considered to be Britain’s most eligible bachelor and inherited his title and the Grosvenor Estate in 2016 after his father died. His estates are in the wealthy London neighbourhoods of Belgravia and Mayfair, and the ancestral home in Cheshire, Eaton Hall.

The Duke’s estimated net worth has increased since last year, as he was worth an estimated £9.878billion in 2023 according to The Times.

Since Charles became King, his inherited assets have propelled his wealth to £1.8bn, but his personal fortune is largely concealed from public scrutiny and it is not possible to know the complete value of his estates. But according to research by the Guardian, an audit of the King’s assets from property and jewels to paintings and cars, concluded the figure.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales’s net worth is estimated to be between £31.6million and £60.7million, according to reports. But these estimates do not include the private Duchy of Cornwall estate which he inherited from his father.

Harry and Meghan, on the other hand, are said to have a combined net worth of around £48million, despite stepping down from their royal duties and repaying the public money used for renovating Frogmore Cottage.

The number one in the ‘under 40’ Sunday Times Rich List is set to marry his fiancé, Olivia Henson, on June 7 at Chester Cathedral. The future Duchess of Westminster has already drawn comparisons with a young Kate, Princess of Wales for her long brown hair, slim frame, and stylish attire.

Grosvenor’s status as King Charles’ godson and godfather to a young Prince George means that the upcoming wedding will be a royal affair, with multiple senior members of the family expected to attend.

Hugh’s father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, the 6th Duke and a close friend of the Queen and then-Prince Charles, was 64 when he died of a heart attack on August 9, 2016. At the time, he was the 114th wealthiest person in the world, with a fortune of around £9billion, according to Forbes. He was laid to rest in the Grosvenor family plot at the Old Churchyard of St. Mary’s Church in Eccleston.

Much of the family’s fortune comes from a 17th-century dowry given to Sir Thomas Grosvenor, which included 500 acres of land just outside of London.

Hugh inherited the dukedom and the Grosvenor Group, a property development company, from his father, Gerald Grosvenor, in 2016. The Grosvenor family’s wealth primarily stems from extensive land holdings, real estate developments, and other investments.

The Duke was educated at a private boarding school, Ellesmere College, and went on to study Countryside Management at Newcastle University. His education and upbringing were geared toward preparing him to manage the substantial family estate.

He has two elder sisters – Lady Tamara Grosvenor and Lady Edwina Grosvenor and one younger sister, Lady Viola Grosvenor.

SOURCE: MEGAThe Princess of Wales is reportedly ‘over’ trying to reconcile with the Duke of Sussex.

Kate, Princess of Wales, is “taking a step back” from her efforts to reconcile with Prince Harry during the run-up to the Christmas season.

“Catherine was deeply hurt by some of the things Harry said about her, particularly in his book, and unfortunately, because of these entrenched positions where neither side seems to want to make contact or the first move, I can’t see this rift healing any time soon,” royal expert Jennie Bond told a publication.

SOURCE: MEGAKate Middleton and Prince Harry had a close and relaxed relationship as sister and brother-in-law for many years.

“Catherine has played the peacemaker in the past and has brought William and Harry together, and I think that comes from her own family and their values. But I think she has got to a stage whereby she has had to take a step back, things have gone too far, and she feels upset and, quite frankly, hurt and insulted,” Bond added.

The veteran commentator continued: “I think Catherine was hurt by Harry’s (and Meghan’s) claim that she made Meghan cry during a fitting for Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress, and again by Meghan’s view, which was relayed by Harry, that she found Catherine and William standoffish, a bit cold, when they first met. After all, we have seen that Catherine is more than ready to give people a hug — even people she has no connection with and will never see again.”

Bond’s insights provide context to the unfortunate rift that has developed between Kate and Harry. Ever since the future queen started dating Prince William in 2002, it is believed the fiery-haired rebel prince was always close to her. “We must remember that Harry once described Catherine as the sister he never had. Now it seems she is the sister-in-law he no longer wants to see,” the journalist highlighted.

SOURCE: MEGAThe Princess of Wales is reportedly ‘deeply hurt’ by the Duke of Sussex’s criticisms of her in his book, ‘Spare.’

“I think Catherine has been badly hurt by Harry’s brutal attacks on William, like his decision to reveal so much of what went on during their disagreements, and by the claim that someone in the royal family questioned the tone of unborn Archie’s skin, it was such a generalized claim that it hurt the whole family,” she observed.

Bond concluded: “I think Catherine and William have jointly decided that they will carry on with family life and work, and most of the time, they don’t think about Harry very much, and I expect vice versa. I can’t see an olive branch being extended from either side any time soon.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales are taking an entirely different direction in life from what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex seem to be doing. Even though William and Kate are bound to the expectations of the Crown, some analysts claim that this, when combined with their “sincere” humanitarian work, makes them appear more “authentic” to the public compared to Harry and Meghan, particularly in America.
