Loose Women descends into chaos as two panellists swear live on air

Loose Women descended into chaos as both Janet Street-Porter and Kaye Adams ended up dropping swear words while live on air as their co-stars were left stunned

The Loose Women panel descended into chaos as Janet Street-Porter and Kaye Adams both accidently swore live on air.

The ITV daytime show returned with Kaye as host and Denise Welch, Brenda Edwards and Janet on the panel. They kicked off the programme by talking about modern slang and abbreviations. Kaye reeled off modern terms such as Platty Joobs for the Platinum Jubilee and Gen Elec for the general election.

The four stars were not impressed with the new words as they started to share old slang and terms, which they argued were better and made more sense. However, at the end of the debate Janet cheekily asked: “Can I say t*ts up?” The audience erupted into laughter as a stern Kaye told her: “Janet, the answer to that you asked me a question and no.”

They then cut to an ad break but didn’t apologise for the swear word. As they returned from the break, they discussed Brenda’s fashion choices as she revealed she is a fan of wearing a jumpsuit. She was tasked with wearing a dress as she shared her reasons for why she doesn’t like wearing them.

Yet her panellists didn’t like her reasons for not liking her knees as Kaye urged her to give a dress a go. She got so passionate, she said: “Well, I mean lets see these b****y…” Kaye managed to stop herself at the end of the word as she gasped at what she just said. Brenda quipped: “Everybody is naughty on this panel today, you lot are naughty.”

Denise pointed out: “It’s half term Kaye Adams.” Kaye said: “Can I apologise for the language I am sorry for any offence that has been caused.” Viewers were confused at her apology as some didn’t think it was a swear word. One said: “Why did Kaye apologise for the word b***dy? That’s not a bad word #loosewomen.” Another added: “#loosewomen B****y isn’t really a swear word, for goodness sake.” Someone else commented: “lol Kaye #loosewomen.”

Just last week Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha swore live on air. The hit ITV chat show celebrated the 40th anniversary of Cilla Black’s hit show, Surprise Surprise, by giving the panel their own surprises. Nadia’s surprise was when she spoke about her friendship group before they appeared live in the studio.

Nadia was left in tears over the surprise before dropping a hilarious swear word, where she had to apologise for the blunder. Recalling how they met and their friendship, Nadia then revealed her nickname for one of her friends as she said: “It’s so weird the way you keep calling her Helen because we only call her t**s!” This resulted in loud gasps in the studio as Nadia suddenly realised her error as she covered her mouth in shock while her amused friends added: “You can’t say that, you’re going to be in trouble!” as they all apologised.

A Place in the Sun’s Jasmine Harman shares why she broke into tears on ITV’s Loose Women

A Place in the Sun host Jasmine Harman has reflected on her emotional interview on Loose Women earlier this week, in which she spoke about her late colleague Jonnie Irwin

A Place in the Sun host Jasmine Harman has addressed her emotional interview on Loose Women in which she reflected on the loss of her late colleague Jonnie Irwin.

The TV presenter, 48 – who has worked on the Channel 4 property series since 2004 – was a guest on the ITV panel show on Wednesday. During the interview, she became emotional whilst discussing her late pal and former co-star.

Following the episode, Jasmine took to Instagram this week to address the support she’s received. She shared a photo of herself beside panelists Denise Welch, Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter in the studio.

She wrote in the post’s caption: “Thanks to the team [at Loose Women] for having me today. It’s emotional and it still feels raw talking about Jonnie. It was really great to meet everyone today though, and thank you for your support.”

Jasmine continued in the message: “To be honest I was already feeling a bit sensitive [on Wednesday] having been reading the news about all the atrocities going on in the world at the moment. We should all support each other, no matter what we are going through. Sending lots of love.”

During the recent interview, Jasmine spoke about her late colleague Jonnie. It comes following the news in February that he had passed away, aged 50, more than three years since he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

After seeing some photos of them together, Jasmine said: “Looking at these old photos, it chokes me up actually.” She also shared that she had met Jonnie when they worked on the pilot episode for A Place in the Sun two decades ago.

She said: “We didn’t always film together cause we were always in different countries but we used to get together at [events for the show] all the time. We became good friends.” Reflecting on her loss, she said: “It’s really a hard time…”

Loose Women panelist Kaye added: “This is fresh and we totally appreciate this, Jasmine. I mean, it’s only been a matter of months since Jonnie passed away and the loss of a friend is a very particular … I mean, all loss is difficult, but the loss of a friend going back 20 years is a very particular loss, isn’t it? I don’t know, because one reflects on your life.”

Jasmine agreed, saying: “Absolutely and I think you y’know you never know what’s around the corner and I think Jonnie’s situation, we can all take something from it.” She then appeared teary-eyed and was given a tissue by Denise.

Further sharing her thoughts, Jasmine said moments later whilst on the panel of the ITV show: “We can all just cherish every day and live with as much joy as possible, and that’s what he did.” She also thanked fans for their support.

Saddened Katie Price reaches out to Ruth Langsford after shock split from Eamonn Holmes

Katie Price has labelled Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes as her “favourite couple ever” as she shared her plans to reach out to the pair following their split

Katie Price has voiced her feelings for Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes in light of their recent separation.

Former glamour model Katie, 46, once branded them the former This Morning presenters as her “favourite couple ever.” Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she went on to explain her intentions of reaching out to both hosts.

“I really want to reach out to Ruth, and Eamonn, but I’m sure they’ve been getting so many messages that mine would be diluted.” Her affection for the pair didn’t end there, as after she revealed her love for both, her sister and co-podcast host Sophie chimed in: “I like them, they’re always so nice to you as well.”

Not holding back, Katie responded: “They are so genuine on and off [camera]. They are so funny off-camera. They’re normal down-to-earth, not up their a***, they’re just really nice genuine people that I would hang out with and have dinner with. They are so nice.”

The comments from Katie came after Eamonn, age 64, made his TV comeback on his GB News show, Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel. An hour into his starting show, he mentioned his marriage break up to viewers: “I’d like to thank people for their support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation. Your support for both of us is very much appreciated.”

While Eamonn has made a comeback to work, Ruth has been noticeably missing from this week’s Loose Women episodes, opting to take a “step back” from the programme. She did, however, post a picture of herself at QVC, where she holds another presenting gig.

The beloved duo gained fame co-hosting ITV’s This Morning, with their romance sparking back in 1997 after being set up by a mutual friend. They exchanged vows in 2010 following a relationship spanning more than a decade detail Ruth once shared on Loose Women in 2016, noting they had been together a “long, long time” before deciding to tie the knot. Throughout their 27 years together, they welcomed their son Jack.

Eamonn is also dad to three grown-up children from his previous marriage. Rumours about their marital status have been swirling for some time, with eagle-eyed fans picking up on their reduced social media presence together.

In a joint statement released on Saturday, they confirmed the end of their marriage, saying: “[They] have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

Prince Harry made a touching gesture to Princess Charlotte moments before they said their final farewell to Queen Elizabeth II at the late monarch’s committal service. The Duke of Sussex was sat next to his niece for the sombre occasion, with Harry and Charlotte sharing an emotional exchange.

Footage shows Charlotte re-arranging her hat just before looking towards her uncle Harry, who briefly glances up, catches his niece’s eye and smiles at her.

Charlotte and her brother, Prince George, attended the committal service and State Funeral at Westminster Abbey, where 2,000 people gathered to mark the late Queen’s passing.

Prince William and Princess Kate flanked George and Charlotte, who it had been decided should attend while younger brother Prince Louis remained at home.

Kate held Charlotte’s hand as they took part in a procession, with the State Funeral ceremony held at the Abbey and the Committal Service taking place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

At one point as the late Queen’s coffin was carried past the younger Waleses, Charlotte could be seen prompting her older brother to bow, which he swiftly did.

Ahead of the service, Harry lined up outside the chapel with King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, William and Peter Phillips, following the coffin into St George’s in a show of unity.

Since the death of Britain’s longest-serving monarch, relations between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family have become even more strained after several claims and allegations were made by Harry and Meghan towards the Windsors.

Royal commentators have claimed Harry is not only estranged from his brother but also from the Waleses’ children.

Royal author Tom Quinn told the Mirror Harry has become completely estranged from George, despite them both sharing similar interests.

William has said George is a potential pilot in the making, following not just in his father’s footsteps but also Harry’s.

Mr Quinn told the Mirror: “William’s hints that his son George might follow in his footsteps and become a pilot will certainly remind Harry of everything he is missing.

“After all Harry was himself a helicopter pilot and would love to entertain his nephew with tales of his own time in the air.

“It’s a sad reminder that he has no relationship at all with George.”

Yesterday, the Princess of Wales was revealed as being a fan of cold-water swimming at night – and she also discussed how she plays ‘beer pong’ with Mike Tindall.

The royal sporting revelations came to light with the release of a special Rugby World Cup edition of the former England international’s podcast: The Good, the Bad and the Rugby.

In the 50-minute episode, the Prince and Princess of Wales and Anne, the Princess Royal – who are patrons of Welsh, English and Scottish rugby, respectively – talk to Tindall, husband of Anne’s daughter Zara, and co-hosts James Haskell and Alex Payne in the green drawing room at Windsor Castle.

The recording, which was filmed on Wednesday, revealed some of the sporting secrets of the Royal Family.

As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, it’s no surprise Kate loves to play the sport in her spare time – and sometimes even recruits her husband as her opponent.

The Princess said she believes her competitive streak comes from her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. She said: ‘If I asked both my parents “Who is the most competitive?”, they would sit down for a long time arguing who is the most competitive and who is the most sporty.’

William also discussed the important lesson he hopes his children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, will learn while playing team sports.

Talking about the skills you gain from ‘those early years of playing team sport’, he said: ‘Learning to lose, which I think we’ve got to concentrate more on nowadays.

‘I think people don’t know how to lose well. Talking about our children particularly, I want to make sure they understand that.

‘I think it’s really important from a young age to understand how to lose, and why we lose, and to grow from it and what you learn from that process.

‘But also to win well, and not boast. There’s so many life lessons that help us all through life, in friendship building, in relationship building, workplace, that you gain from those early years of playing team sport.’

It was then the turn of Kate to explain why she loved team sports, with Mike joking: ‘I’m not going to say you’re really competitive… [but] I’ve seen her play beer pong.’

An animated Kate replied: ‘I’m not competitive at all,’ before explaining that her parents had always encouraged her to get involved in sports.

She went on to say that her and William never manage to finish a game of tennis, giggling as she added it becomes a ‘mental challenge between the two of us’.

During the discussion at Windsor Castle, father-of-three William, 41, recalled the ‘only time I’ve ever cried when watching sport’ – and also revealed the important lesson he hopes team sports will help teach his three children.

He admitted that he’d shed a tear when watching his cousin, Zara, 42, compete, saying: ‘The only time I’ve ever cried when watching sport was when Zara won I think it was the European championship.

‘I was down in Exmore at the time camping. We were all huddling around the phone watching it. She was there she was blubbing away the flag was going up. I was in pieces.’

Kate added: ‘I can remember because you came back and said I’ve never been so proud of anyone.’

Elsewhere, Princess Anne recalled the early days of her daughter’s equestrian career, in which she won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics.

Recalling what would happen if she tried to offer her advice, keen horse rider Anne said: ‘If I made a comment I was usually told I was a dinosaur.’

William, meanwhile, recalled the 2012 London Olympics and the ‘coming together of a nation’.

He said: ‘It was phenomenal and I think Chris Hoy at the velodrome was one of my all-time favourite moments – we were both there shouting and yelling – it was this cauldron of noise and it was just so exciting.’

The prince continued: ‘The Paralympics particularly, that was a huge moment for disability sport taking off and it obviously got bigger and bigger since then.’

Kate commented: ‘In 2012 I was absolutely gutted to miss Andy Murray’s game when he won his gold medal against Federer.’

Gushing about the benefits of sport for children, Princess Anne made reference to ‘giving up trying to catch’ William.

‘We’ve all played catch games since we were this big,’ she said. ‘We played a bit of badminton, we swam, polo, literally everything. My team sport was lacrosse.’

It comes as an exclusive MailOnline poll revealed the Prince and Princess of Wales are increasingly popular with the British public, many of whom already want King Charles III and Queen Camilla to start gradually handing over power to them or even to abdicate over the coming year.

Charles III appears to be viewed as a caretaker monarch – but the institution still enjoys the backing of the majority of Britons who believe he has had a good first year on the throne and deserves public support and money.

A year after the Queen’s death, most people believe the monarchy will go on strong for decades and in a further boost to the King almost two thirds (60%) are in favour of him speaking out publicly on issues that ‘matter to him’, such as climate change.

The comprehensive new poll on the state of the monarchy carried out for MailOnline by Deltapoll asked more than 2,000 people how they view the Royal Family, its members and the work the institution does in the UK and abroad.

The survey shows that William is viewed as a King in waiting, with growing numbers hoping his father will hand over the reins before he dies after the Princess of Wales took an iron rod approach to his younger brother Harry and his uncle Prince Andrew.

And 41 per cent now believe the crown should have skipped a generation to William when the Queen died – up from 35 per cent in March. The polling came weeks after the Prince of Wales was revealed as the United States’ most admired public figure ahead of Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky.

But despite William’s growing popularity and influence, there is plenty of positive news for Charles, who has been mourning his mother in Scotland this week.

Just 23 per cent of respondents said they were in favour of a republic compared to 62 per cent who say Britain should remain a monarchy.

Another 53 per cent said they believed Britain would still have a monarchy in 50 years’ time.

Sarah Ferguson ‘sent clear signal to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’ over royal feud

Sarah Ferguson has discussed the most important part of maintaining good family relationships – with a clear message to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it’s been claimed.

Sarah Ferguson spoke of the importance of supporting one another at the Cannes Film Festival last week – one royal expert claims it’s a subtle signal to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Sarah – who was previously married to Prince Andrew – said that “forgiveness” is the most important part of maintaining family relationships.

In what has been dubbed a clear message to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle amid their ongoing royal feud, the 64-year-old said: “I think family unity is key… I think the key to life is that we all support each other.

“And also forgiveness is a great thing. I think forgiveness of yourself and forgiveness of others.”

Sarah’s comments came after she was asked whether she was supporting King Charles and Princess Kate following their cancer diagnoses.

Sarah – who is the mother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie – has recently undergone treatment for both breast and skin cancer in the past year.

Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn said that Sarah’s “forgiveness” comment was a “clear reference” amid the ongoing feud.

He told the publication: “[It was a] clear reference to Meghan and Harry’s ongoing feud with Prince William and King Charles.

“But the Duchess [of York] has her own well-publicised family difficulties to deal with – she has never stopped trying to persuade the senior royals to rehabilitate her former husband Prince Andrew and when she talked about unity and the need for forgiveness, she no doubt also had her husband in mind.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to step down as senior working royals at the start of 2020 and now reside in California with their children.

A portrait of Prince Harry and Meghan has been accepted into the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London, whose patron is the Princess of Wales.

The news was revealed by Misan Harriman, who has become the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes go-to photographer.

He posted several images on social media showing him signing the picture with the message: ‘I am humbled and proud to announce that my portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is now part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery.

‘Dare to dream folks!’ The image was one of a series he took in September 2022 when the couple attended the opening of the One Young World summit in Manchester.

It shows them holding hands and dramatically looking into the distance – and is also notable for its lighting and soft focus.

The Princess of Wales – then Duchess of Cambridge – became its patron in January 2012, one of the first five patronages she took on following her marriage to Prince William.

Her first solo public engagement was the opening of the Lucian Freud Portraits exhibition at the gallery’s London home.

As Patron Kate would have no say over which portraits are added to the gallery’s collection.

Mr Harriman is a globally celebrated celebrity and social photographer who became the first black man to shoot a cover of British Vogue in the magazine’s 104-year history.

He has also become one of Harry band Meghan’s most vocal supporters and is frequently invited to privately cover their work.

He was the only photographer invited by the couple to cover their recent quasi-royal trip to Nigeria, his country of birth.

And Mr Harriman also memorably took pictures remotely from the UK of Harry and pregnant Meghan in the US used to announce that the couple were expecting their second baby, Princess Lilibet.

A spokesperson from the National Portrait Gallery said: ‘There are currently no immediate plans to display the work and, as it has just been delivered, it will need to go through our cataloguing process before it is available on our website.’

Prince Harry was keen to show off his basketball skills as he and Meghan Markle enjoyed the last day of their Nigeria trip.

The Sussexes looked relaxed as they enjoyed their final moments during the 72-hour whistlestop tour to the West African nation. The duo jetted to Lagos to meet organisers of the sporting project Giants of Africa, as well as the kids who are helped by the initiative.

The 39-year-old Duke of Sussex was seen sporting a suit jacket while scoring a hoop – to which he received a roar of applause. He high-fived youngsters while his wife – wearing a traditional blue Nigerian skirt – stood courtside, chatting with excited local school children. The couple also enjoyed a performance from the kids – with Harry nodding along to the music while Meghan clapped her hands enthusiastically – before delighting the crowd as they joined in and showed off their own dance moves.

In a passionate speech, Harry congratulated the Giants of Africa – a charity which organises basketball camps for children across Africa – for their “truly amazing” work. He said: “The power of sport can change lives. It brings people together and creates community and there are no barriers, which is the most important thing.”

The Sussexes also revealed that their charity – the Archewell Foundation – would be donating to help the organisation build a basketball court in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja. The duo – who are set to jet home on Monday – have been conducting an “unofficial royal tour” to promote the Invictus Games.

Meghan – who previously dubbed Nigeria “my country” while co-hosting an event about female leadership – described that she had first heard of the initiative while living in Toronto. She said: “Talk about full circle again, never did I think we would be able to be here all those years later supporting the expansion of this incredible organisation.”

While speaking at a World Trade Organisation women’s event on Saturday, the Duchess – who recently discovered she is 43 per cent Nigerian – spoke about how proud she was of her heritage. She gushed: “Every single moment that I hear anyone talk about what it means to be a Nigerian woman, it is the most flattering thing to be in that company.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looked in great spirits during their third and final day of their trip to Nigeria on Sunday.

The Duchess of Sussex celebrated Mother’s Day and looked as stylish as ever at a Charity polo game at the Ikoyi Polo Club in Lagos.

We loved her look. The mother-of-two rocked a dress by Johanna Ortiz, known as the ‘Summer Counts Dress in Wilderness Beige’ which came complete with a gorgeous halter neck and had a slinky, relaxed vibe.

She added gold jewellery, sassy shades and a Hollywood style updo.

But did you notice her shoes? Her daring gold stilettos were by Burberry and are known as the ‘Prorsom Berkeley heels’ and were from 2013.

These shoes are over 11 years old and we realised that Meghan actually wore the heels to two events in 2013, when she was single and newly-divorced from her former husband, Trevor Engelson. So in short, they were her single girl shoes!

All single girls need a special pair of high heels to wear on special nights out – I know I had many pairs before I was married and I adored wearing them when out and about.

Meghan’s Burberry heels feature a satin buckle, a snakeskin knot across the toe, as well as striking strap detail, and were designed by former creative director Christopher Bailey.

The wife of Prince Harry was pictured wearing the heels twice before; once at the MuchMusic Video Awards at MuchMusic HQ in Toronto, Canada, and again at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week during day 7 on September 11, 2013 in New York City. Both times the heels totally elevated her outfit.

Earlier in the day on Sunday, the 42-year-old wore another stunning outfit; a Carolina Herrera yellow dress with a loose fit. The dress is clearly a very sentimental piece in her closet, as it was the very same one worn for Prince Archie’s first birthday party in 2020, and for her pregnancy announcement when she was carrying daughter Lilibet. She wore her hair pinned up in a chignon and added circular gold pendant earrings and a choker necklace by Aurate New York.
