Peter Andre says ‘girls are moody’ as he reflects on new baby’s gender with wife Emily

Peter Andre is expecting his third child with wife Emily MacDonagh imminently and the Mysterious Girl singer has opened up on how he feels about his fifth child’s gender

Peter Andre has revealed what he and wife Emily think about their third baby’s gender.

The couple appeared on Loose Women last week to discuss Emily’s pregnancy and the Mysterious Girl singer revealed he was hoping for a boy. Emily and Peter share Amelia, 10, and Theo, seven, while Peter is also father to Junior, 18, and Princess, 16, from his marriage to Katie Price.

Peter and Emily revealed they are keeping the baby’s gender a surprise and although the mum-to-be said she has no preference of whether their child is a girl or boy, the TV personality admitted he is secretly hoping for a baby boy.

Ahead of his 51st birthday this week, Peter revealed he and Emily are discussing names for the newest addition to their family. He said: “Emily and I appeared on Loose Women last week where I joked that I was hoping for a baby boy.

“But honestly, I don’t mind what the gender is as long as they’re happy and healthy. I’ve got two girls and two boys already and they’re all wonderful in their own way. Although I would say the girls are more moody and the boys are definitely more lazy LOL. We also haven’t chosen names yet, so we’d better hurry up. Time is flying!”

ITV)Peter went on to reveal in his OK! column that he has already started his birthday celebrations with a small get together last weekend with wife Emily. He continued: “My actual birthday on Tuesday will be quite chilled.

“The kids, Emily and I are going out for dinner to celebrate, and they’re choosing the place. I don’t mind where we go, as long as we’re all together.” Peter, who revealed Emily is expecting to give birth in a “few weeks”, said the new arrival is the “best gift I could ever wish for”.

Emily recently took to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband on Valentine’s Day. Sharing an image them as a couple, she said: “To my lovely husband, best friend and my Valentine forever! I couldn’t ask for anything more, you are always there to support me and the whole family and I am so grateful. Plus, at the moment I can’t even make it up the stairs so I truly would be stuck (downstairs) without you seriously though, thanks for being the best ever hubs I could ever ask for! Happy Valentines Day @peterandre.”

Peter previously revealed the couple suffered a health scare when Emily was rushed to hospital moments before he was about to go on stage. Speaking to OK! magazine, he recalled the hospital scare, saying: “I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, ‘Emily’s been rushed to A&E.’ It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK.”

The singer and Emily married in July 2015 in Mamhead House and Castle in Devon, three years after going public with his new relationship.

  • EXCLUSIVE: ITV Loose Women’s Sunetra Sarker has first mammogram after losing two friends to cancer

EXCLUSIVE: ITV Loose Women’s Sunetra Sarker has first mammogram after losing two friends to cancer

In a bid to encourage other women to get their breasts checked with regular mammograms, Loose Women star Sunetra Sarker is putting her fears aside and taking the huge step in her health journey in honour of her beloved friends who have sadly passed away from cancer

pages on the NHS website increased by a staggering one-third.

The brave move by Sunetra, 50, is particularly poignant for the actress and Loose Women favourite given the fact she lost two of her best friends to breast cancer last year. Ahead of Thursday’s episode, Sunetra Sarker said:  After losing two of my best friends last year to cancer, I had a real wake-up call about how important screening actually is. It’s very easy to hide your head in the sand over these issues but we have to do it together. We have to catch everything we can, as early as possible. You get to a certain age and it becomes even more important than it did last year, and every year that goes on. We can’t keep burying our head in the sand and I owe it to my friends to make sure I do this.”

Sharing a message with Loose Women fans, Sunetra added: “If you’ve got any friends or family that you’ve lost [to breast cancer], you owe it to them to have a screening.”

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK. Most women diagnosed with breast cancer are over the age of 50, but younger women can also get breast cancer.

About 1 in 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. There’s a good chance of recovery if it’s detected at an early stage. For this reason, it’s vital that women check their breasts regularly for any changes and always have any changes examined by a GP.

Breast cancer can have several symptoms, but the first noticeable symptom is usually a lump or area of thickened breast tissue. Other symptoms include a change in the size or shape of one or both breasts, a lump or swelling in either of your armpits, dimpling on the skin of your breasts, or a rash on or around your nipple.

If you have been affected by this story, advice and support can be found at Breast Cancer Support.

Tune in to Loose Women at 12.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX to join Sunetra as she goes for her first mammogram screening.

ITV Loose Women viewers in tears as Sir Bruce Forsyth’s widow shares moving tribute

Sir Bruce Forsyth passed away almost seven years ago – leaving behind his devoted wife Lady Wilnelia and their son. She had Loose Women viewers in tears as she reflected on their marriage.

Loose Women fans were in tears as Lady Wilnelia Forsyth-Johnson appeared on the show to reflect on her marriage and life with the late entertainment legend.

Sir Bruce passed away in August 2017 at the age of 89 after falling ill with a strain of pneumonia. The Strictly Come Dancing host had married former Miss World winner Lady Wilnelia, 66, in 1983 and they welcomed a son named Jonathan Joseph in 1986. This month, Sir Bruce would have turned 97 years old and Lady Wilnelia explained how much she still thinks about him while appearing on the ITV daytime talk show.

She joined the show which was helmed on Wednesday by Christine Lampard, 45, and with a panel consisting of Coleen Nolan, 58, Dame Kelly Holmes, 53, and Katie Piper, 40. As they prepared to introduce Lady Wilnelia to the show, the ladies discussed the entertainment legend and played clips from his life.

As Lady Wilnelia joined the table, Christine began: “So lovely to have you here. We’re all smiling and we’re all full of our memories. I can only imagine what it must be like for you to watch those moments.” She continued: “It’s remarkable the impact he did have for so, so many years in the ‘Biz’ that he called show. He loved it so much. It was his life. It became all of your lives. It was our Saturday night!”

During her time on the show, Lady Wilnelia explained how she met Bruce when she was on Miss World in 1975. She recalled: “When I first met Bruce we didn’t have the internet or anything like that… I remember going out with him and the next day and a lot of people outside were saying ‘Nice to see you, to see you, nice!’ And I thought ‘My god he has all these friends!’ I had no idea that was one of his catchphrases and how famous he was.

“I was working in Paris after Miss World. Five years later, they asked me to judge, and Bruce was there too.”

Sir Bruce was born on 22 February 1928 and Lady Wilnelia shared with the Loose Women panel that she and her family like to mark his birthday after his death. She said: “We try to get together on special occasions such as his birthday.” She went on to explain that she struggled to watch videos of Sir Bruce, finding them “difficult” to watch as she misses him so much.

Her touching comments and anecdotes set Loose Women viewers off – with many taking to social media to say they had been reduced to tears by Lady Wilnelia’s stories. One fan wrote on X: “What a fantastic and emotional interview remembering Sir Bruce Forsyth. His wife is just adorable, kind, caring and loyal. Such a sweetheart! ! ! ! #LooseWomen.” While another wrote: “Why am I crying? #loosewomen,” and another commented: “I’m nearly in tears.”

Linda Robson punched in face as thug gets instant karma for stealing her bag

Loose Women star Linda Robson has recalled the horrifiying moment she was punched in the face by a thug who stole her designer bag, but was given instant karma by a nasty surprise inside

Linda Robson was terrifyingly punched in the face and mugged, yet the thug had a nasty surprise when they realised what they stole.

The Loose Women star has recalled the scary moment as she had her Selfridges bag stolen. An attacker on a bike hit her in the face and made off with the designer bag. Linda was forced to cancel her work the next day as her face was “such a mess” following the horrific incident.

However, the former A Birds of a Feather actress admitted what was inside the bag offered her a “silver lining”. She shared: “Just as I stepped out into the street, someone wearing a hoodie and riding a mountain bike sped up to me, punched me in the face and stole the Selfridges bag out of my hand. They left me with a big black eye and I was really shaken up.””I was due to film something the next day but had to cancel that because my face was such a mess,” Linda wrote in her book Truth Be Told. “The one silver lining was the thought of this thug feeling all pleased with themselves for grabbing this Selfridges bag.” She added: “They’d be imagining what expensive treats might be inside and then reaching in to get a handful of s***. If you’re reading this now, it serves you right!”

Linda’s designer shopping bag was actually filled with her dog’s poo. Earlier this week Linda stunned her Loose Women co-stars and viewers when she flashed her bra live on TV. She joined Ruth Langsford, Denise Welch and Kaye Adams on the ITV daytime show where they held a special episode celebrating women in their 60s.

The TV star joined in a debate over women “falling out of love” with their bodies as they got older. She decided to prove she did not feel that way, by proudly showing off her body to the audience. Linda stood up and lifted up her top, revealing her torso and bra, leaving her co-stars to go wild at her move.

Linda said: “I don’t love it but I think it’s amazing, it’s given me three beautiful children. And I’m still quite healthy at 65, not too bad.” The TV show panellist confirmed she had split from her husband Mark Dunford last year after 33 years of marriage and told The Mirror how she was doing after the split.

Linda said: “I’m alright, it’s been going on for quite a long time now. We are just trying to sell the house now and go our separate ways. But we are still on good speaking terms, and what has kept us on good speaking terms is the kids. We both love the kids more than anything else in the world and he’s been an amazing dad. I just want a little two-bedroom house so my granddaughters can stay, I’ve been with them all day today. They have [kept me going] yeah, I love looking after them.”

The former footballer, 49, opened up in the documentary about the abuse he received in the aftermath of the 1998 World Cup.

He was sent off in England’s quarter-final clash with Argentina for kicking out at Diego Simeone after the Argentina captain shoved him to the ground.

England went on to lose the game on penalties, with David being blamed for the defeat and being hit by a torrent of hatred from fans.

He was constantly booed and jeered by fans of opposition clubs for the majority of the following 1998-99 season, with a burning effigy of him and death threats among the worst of the backlash

After opening up on the abuse in his docuseries, David received a wave of support from the public, who praised him for his strength during the difficult time.

Speaking about the effect of his candidness in an Emmy Extra Edition cover of VARIETY, he said that he was glad that it made people take mental health more seriously.

He said: ‘I think that my takeaway from my documentary was how important mental health is. Because, 20 years ago, nobody was talking about it. And nobody was taking it seriously.

‘Now, it’s so great that people can actually talk about their feelings… There were many things said about us over the 27 years. It can be hurtful.’

David went on to reveal that recently he and wife Victoria, 50, had gone to a pub and returned to their car to find a note with no name or address.

He said: ‘It read, “We’re sorry how you were treated.” I’ve got the letter still. But that’s how people, I think, felt after the documentary.’

David opened up on the turbulent period in his series last October, confessing he was a ‘mess’ and left unable to eat or sleep, while Victoria revealed that he suffered from clinical depression and the experience ‘broke’ him.

He recalled feeling ‘very vulnerable and alone’ as he landed back in the UK to hordes of jeering spectators and negative press.

His father Ted admitted David was ‘distraught’ when he met him, saying the young sports star ‘fell into my arms and said, “I’ve left everybody down.”‘

Growing emotional as he reflected on the backlash he received, David confessed: ‘I don’t think I’ve ever talked about it because I can’t. I find it hard to talk about what I went through because it was so extreme. The whole country hated me.’

Detailing the horrific abuse – which became so bad that he was unable to visit the toilet unattended for fear of being attacked on the way – he continued: ‘Wherever I went, I got abused every day.

‘To walk down the street and see people look at you a certain way, spit at you, abuse you, come up to your face and say some of the things that they said, that’s difficult. I wasn’t eating, I wasn’t sleeping, I was a mess.’

The sport legend, who was just 23 at the time, also detailed the impact it had on his parents, Ted and Sandra, noting: ‘It brought a lot of attention that I would never wish on anyone, let alone my parents and I can’t forgive myself for that.

‘That’s the tough part that happened then. I’m 47 years old now and I beat myself up about it still. Inside it killed me.’

David Beckham has shut down the long-awaited Spice Girls reunion tour once and for all, saying it is ‘unfortunately not happening’.

The last time all five women – Victoria, 50, Mel B, 49, Mel C, 50, Emma, 48, and Geri, 50 – performed together was at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

David, who graces the cover of the Emmy Extra Edition of VARIETY, said: ‘I know it’s what people want, but in all honesty, I think I was the most excited of anyone.’

‘All of the girls haven’t been on a stage together for over 15 years. So, to have them all there, to have them all up on stage, to have our youngest son playing guitar?’

David Beckham has shared the concerns he had around his daughter Harper watching his Netflix documentary.

BECKHAM follows Posh and Becks in their personal and professional lives, going through their history together with interviews of the couple.

The footballer, 49, told of his struggles with his mental health after becoming public enemy No 1 following his infamous red card upset during the 1998 World Cup, with abuse being levelled at him and his family including angry fans throwing their TVs out of windows and an effigy of him being hung outside a pub.

His wife Victoria, 50, also joined him in speaking for the first time about the pain suffered in the aftermath of claims about his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos , with the former Spice Girl breaking down in tears as she confides it was the ‘hardest’ time of her life.

And speaking to VARIETY on his worries over Harper, 12, watching the show, David explained: ‘I was a little bit worried about my daughter seeing some of the things that were being said about me over the years and how she would react.

Speaking to VARIETY on his worries over Harper, 12, watching the show, David explained: ‘I was a little bit worried about my daughter seeing some of the things that were being said about me over the years and how she would react.’

He added that nothing surprised Harper: ‘I’ve been telling my daughter for a long time that Mommy used to wear very, very short skirts. And then she was like, “Daddy, Mommy did really wear really, really short skirts!” But she loved it.’

It comes after David revealed what inspired him to film his tell-all documentary, BECKHAM, as he dubbed it a ‘love letter’ to football and his family.

The former Manchester United midfielder, 47, said there was only really one reason why he wanted to give the world an insight into current home life.

Football legend David is married to former Spice Girl Victoria and they share four children – Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12.

Speaking on Good Morning America, he said he wanted to combine all those aspects, package it together and gift it to his sport and family as a ‘love letter’.

He told show hosts Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, Lara Spencer and George Stephanopoulos: ‘The only reason I did it was because it was kind of a love letter to my career and the sport and also, more importantly, my family.

‘My family have been such an incredible support system throughout my whole life and my whole career.

‘To have all that archive and all that footage in one place, literally I could go, ”there you go” and that really was the only reason to do it.’

‘I think we were all nervous going into it because we are… even though we have been pictured all over the world, and people know, most places, who we are, to let people into our home… But I also said that if I am going to do this, I am going to do it right and I am only going to do it once so everyone got on board,’ he added.

BECKHAM premiered in October 2023, and while chatting on GMA, David revealed that it wasn’t until then that his youngest son, Cruz, realised just how good his father was at football.

Speaking live in Times Square on the show, he said: ‘But one funny thing was, we watched the premiere and as we are driving back to the house, my youngest son Cruz turns round to me and says ”Dad you were really good, I didn’t know.”’

David also revealed that he when he first retired from football, he was not ready to do to an documentary but after ten years had passed he thought it was the right time.

Whoopi Goldberg has blasted Meghan Markle for ‘making other women feel bad’ after the royal claimed her time as a ‘briefcase girl’ on Deal or No Deal made her feel like a bimbo.

Goldberg – famed for her liberal views – delivered the hammer-blow on Wednesday’s episode of The View, saying: ‘My point is, if you see it and that’s how you feel, just maybe you don’t want to make the other women feel bad because maybe they’re not — you know, maybe they’re trying to make a living too.’

She continued: ‘The objectification might be coming from you and how you felt about how these women were being portrayed,’ she said.

‘That’s what you have to change because we’re performers. When you’re a performer, you take the gig… sometimes, you’re in a bozo suit, sometimes you got a big nose, and this is just the way it is.’

Whoopi also implied the Duchess of Sussex was taking the matter altogether too seriously, telling The View panel: ‘I just want to say that on that show, you basically had a suitcase.

‘And (the contestants) want to know, is this the deal you want or is this not the deal you want? I don’t know that the people who were sitting there are thinking bout you like that. They’re thinking, I want the money.’

Whoopi’s views triggered global surprise, given she tends to have sympathy for the same liberal and right-on causes as Meghan does.

Recently, she instructed the Royal Family to apologize for its colonial past including ‘running roughshod over India,’ making her rebuttal to Markle’s comments especially stark.

Speaking on the latest episode of her Archetypes podcast, Meghan told guest Paris Hilton: ‘I would end up leaving with this pit in my stomach, knowing that I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage.

‘I didn’t like feeling forced to be all looks and little substance, and that’s how it felt for me at the time, being reduced to this specific archetype.’ The episode was titled ‘Bimbo,’ and was intended to look at unfair labels given to women.

Meghan was referring to her stint on Deal or No Deal between 2006 and 2007. The gameshow, hosted by Howie Mandel, sees contestants open a series of briefcases containing a potential cash prize. Meghan was one of the identically-dressed women tasked with opening those briefcases.

Whoopi Goldberg slammed Meghan Markle over the royal's latest podcast on Saturday, suggesting Meghan's dismissive comments about her time as a briefcase girl on Deal or No Deal had shamed the other women appearing on the show

The panel on The View said Meghan was well within her rights to quit her role on Deal or No Deal if it made her feel bad

Her remarks were also condemned by talk show host Megyn Kelly, who claims the duchess ‘knew exactly what she was getting herself into’ on Deal or No Deal, and that the part satisfied Meghan’s alleged craving for attention.

Speaking on her SiriusXM show Wednesday, Kelly said: ‘The laughable notion that she did not know what she was getting herself into when she took a job in which one’s only mission is to look tan, wear false eyelashes and wear a skimpy shiny dress while opening a suitcase,.

‘She knew exactly what she was getting herself into on that job and it was no surprise to her that they wanted her to look as good as possible while doing it.

‘What she’s trying to con us on now is whether she enjoyed it. She loved every minute of it. She wanted to be objectified.

‘She wanted the adulation just like she still wants it to this day.’

The Archetypes episode released on Tuesday was followed by the publication of a bombshell interview with Variety which had been re-recorded after the Queen’s death to allow her to pay tribute to Her Majesty.

The mother-of-two and former actress said that while she was ‘grateful’ the job helped pay the bills, she felt she was only valued for her ‘beauty’, not her ‘brains’.

Markle’s comments also prompted one of her former Deal or No Deal co-stars to say the program had provided ‘so many opportunities’ for them and that models who opened briefcases on the show were not chosen just because of their looks.

Meghan, who appeared on the second season of the NBC series for 34 episodes between 2006 and 2007, said on her podcast that felt she was being 'objectified' on the show

Meghan made the comments on her Spotify podcast. She and Prince Harry signed a three-year podcast deal with the streaming giant for an estimated $15million to $18million

Kelly is notably no fan of Markle’s and added further added to the discourse Wednesday on an episode of Paul Murray Live that she has grown weary of what she believes is Markle’s ‘deceptive nature’ and ‘abject dishonesty.’

‘She does this podcast with Paris Hilton on how “oh we’ve been labelled bimbos, it’s so wrong”, meanwhile Paris Hilton made millions of dollars off of that label, leaned into robustly, which she discusses in the podcast.

‘But Meghan Markle won’t own it. Meghan Markle wants to complaint about being objectified when she was suitcase girl number 24.

    ‘It’s ridiculous,’ she said.

Goldberg, in unlikely agreement with Kelly, concurred that the Duchess of Sussex may have been reacting to the way she felt about being on the show, and that part of being a performer is doing your job in costumes with which you’re not always comfortable.

Her intervention came on the same day it was revealed Meghan re-recorded her tell-all interview with Variety after the Queen died so she could make a tribute.

The Duchess of Sussex’s interview and photoshoot with the US publication had been completed eight days before Her Majesty died on September 8. But it was redone after she returned from the Queen’s funeral.

Variety writer Matt Donnelly revealed: ‘She worries that any comments about the Queen or her in-laws will be “a distraction” from continued mourning, but presses on to celebrate the icon’.

In the interview she went on to say she was ‘done’ with acting but would not stop her children pursuing it as a career.

She also appeared to distance herself from the Netflix docu-series about her and Prince Harry that is set to be released and was candid about her home life – including her and her husband’s wind-down routine and her son’s love for British children’s television show Octonauts.

But she does not talk about her time on Deal or No Deal in the Variety interview.

Meghan, who appeared on 34 episodes of the show’s second season, revealed she was forced to get regular spray tans and wear a padded bra.

She said her time on the show made her feel ‘not smart’ as it was all about ‘looks’.

In the latest podcast episode, which featured Paris Hilton as a guest star, the royal said she was grateful for the money she earned on Deal or No Deal as she tried to succeed as an actress – calling it ‘a short stint’ to pay the bills.

But she added: ‘There were times when I was on set at Deal or No Deal and thinking back to my time working as an intern at the US Embassy in Argentina, Buenos Aires, and being in the motorcade with the secretary of treasury at the time and being valued specifically for my brain.

‘Here, I was being valued for something quite the opposite. I ended up quitting the show. I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage.

Meghan Markle opened up on being a Deal or No Deal briefcase girl and revealed she quit, claiming she felt 'objectified' and like a 'bimbo'

Reality star Claudia Jordan (seen holding briefcase number one) featured on Deal or No Deal between 2005 and 2009, hit back at Meghan's (seen holding 24) claims about the show. The duchess featured on it between 2006 and 2007

Meghan (right) said she disliked 'how it made me feel, which was not smart' because 'I didn't like feeling forced to be all looks'

Meghan's Spotify podcast has returned after a brief pause following the death of Prince Harry's grandmother the Queen

‘I didn’t like feeling forced to be all looks and little substance. That’s how it felt for me at the time, being reduced to this specific archetype, the word bimbo.’

She added that she wanted her one-year-old daughter, Lilibet, to be valued first for her mind, rather than her ‘beauty’, unlike she was on the show.

‘I want our daughter to aspire to be slightly higher,’ she stated. ‘Yeah, I want my Lili to want to be educated and want to be smart and to pride herself on those things.’

The actress claimed that she and the other women on the show were forced to ‘line up’ for various beauty treatments including ‘padding in their bras,’ attaching fake eyelashes, and ‘putting in’ hair extensions.

‘We were even given spray-tan vouchers each week because there was a very cookie cutter idea, of precisely what we should look like,’ she added. ‘It was solely about our beauty.’

The former Suits star also said that a woman ‘in charge’ of the show would tell her to ‘suck it in’ before filming, presumably an order to hold in her stomach on camera.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan, 49 - who appeared alongside Meghan, 41, on the show in the mid-2000s - posted a furious rant about the Duchess on her Instagram on Tuesday

But Claudia Jordan, who appeared alongside Meghan, 41, on the NBC game show – posted a furious rant about the duchess on Instagram on Tuesday, hitting out at claims she made about the show.

Claudia, who starred in Deal or No Deal for four seasons from 2005 to 2009, slammed Meghan for her comments on her Archetypes podcast, saying the show ‘never treated them like bimbos’ and it helped provide ‘so many opportunities’.

‘For clarity – yes getting a modelling gig on a game show isn’t necessarily about your intellect, but every show the executive producers picked five models with the most outgoing and fun personalities to place mics on, who they knew would engage with the contestants,’ she wrote.

‘And Deal or No Deal never treated us like bimbos. We got so many opportunities because of that show.’

The reality star added that it’s the ‘kind of opportunity’ that ‘is what you make it’. She said: ‘If you just show up and don’t engage – then you’ll just get your check and not get much out of it.

Meghan (seen circled on the show in the back) had very differing opinions about the way in which briefcase girls were treated to her former co-star Claudia (circled in the front)

‘But if you show up and seize your moments, there’s no limits to what you can do with the opportunity.’

Claudia explained that she ‘enjoyed’ working on Deal or No Deal, and claimed it helped launch a major career for her.

Variety reveals that Meghan did the bombshell interview TWICE after the Queen died

Variety writer Matt Donnelly revealed that the Queen’s death meant Meghan Markle agreed to do an interview twice to reflect it.

Describing the first sit-down, he said Meghan ‘shook the hand of every crew member, stylist and photographer ’s assistant’ before taking part in the photoshoot likely to be around September 1.

But he wrote: ‘Nearly three weeks before press time, though — eight days after she stopped the birthday revelers in their tracks at the San Ysidro Ranch — the prince’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at her Scottish estate Balmoral. The world watched and mourned as the longest-reigning monarch in British history was laid to rest and celebrated for what Meghan says was the “shining example” of female leadership.

‘Following the official period of mourning, Meghan agrees to sit again for a lengthy discussion about her road to the present. She worries that any comments about the queen or her in-laws will be “a distraction” from continued mourning, but presses on to celebrate the icon.’

‘It was a step on the ladder I’ve been ascending on for 25 years that paid all my bills, put me in front of 13million people a night, and led to me getting on Celebrity Apprentice, Celebrity Apprentice All Stars, a breast cancer awareness campaign, guest hosting Extra, getting into People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful issue, and so much more,’ she continued.

‘It also led to me co-hosting the 2009 Miss Universe pageant with @BillyBush in front of half a billion people. Not to shabby for a “bimbo”.’

While the 49-year-old wanted her followers to know that she was not ‘attacking’ Meghan, she said it was important for her to defend the show, and all of the people who worked so hard to make it a success.

‘Lord knows I’ve been defending this woman in the media for years,’ she explained. ‘And I still will, but I just didn’t want any misunderstanding about the climate and environment on the Deal or No Deal set.

‘And I’m especially protective of [host] Howie Mandel, who was nothing but kind and respectful to all 26 of us.’

In her Variety interview, Meghan praised Her Majesty’s ‘warmth’ and ‘leadership’ after she passed away on September 8 but did not speak about other members of the Royal Family, including her ‘in-laws’ to avoid any ‘distraction’ from mourning her death.

The feature headlined ‘Meghan Markle Lets Her Guard Down’ said the Duchess of Sussex agreed to ‘sit again’ when she returned to California after Her Majesty’s funeral because the glitzy photoshoot and video chat was first completed eight days before she passed away.

The interview revealed Meghan ‘stopped birthday revellers in their tracks’ when she arrived at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara just before she flew to London with Harry for their pseudo-royal tour visiting pet projects in the UK and launching the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

But within 24 hours of the Germany trip Her Majesty had died and Mr Donnelly revealed the duchess then agreed to ‘sit again for a lengthy discussion about her road to the present’.

After praising the Queen as ‘the matriarch of the family’, she became ‘animated talking about the warmth and support she received from the thousands of citizens she interacted with during her time in the UK’, her two children as well as her deals with Spotify and Netflix, the article says.

The Duchess of Sussex has given another major and wide-ranging interview with the US media and is pictured here on the cover of Variety. It has emerged that it was first done before the Queen died so Meghan agreed to 'sit again' so she could give her tribute

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle lays on the ground in a £4,657 Jason Wu dress

The Duchess of Sussex also describes what life was like after that explosive Oprah interview, Harry's love for In-N-Out Burger, her podcast 'Archetypes,' and the Netflix documentary they are making as part of their $100million contract with the streaming giant.

But Meghan did still get in a perceived dig at the royals by hinting that her death and its fallout had been ‘complicated’ for Prince Harry, but added he remains ‘ever-optimistic’ and preferred to remember that she was now reunited with her beloved husband Prince Philip.

Variety does not go into detail about what, if anything, Meghan said about the Royal Family before the Queen died.

But her decision to sit down again will lead to speculation about what the first interview contains, especially as it was around the time when she told The Cut magazine that Harry had said he had ‘lost his dad’.

The Duchess of Sussex spoke about a range of issues including ‘misconceptions’ about her since she married her husband in 2018 – especially after the Oprah interview – and claiming their ‘love story’ had inspired the world because ‘people love love’.

And opening up for the first time about how she felt after the interview where the Sussexes accused the Royal Family of racism, she said her California friends had gathered around her to support her.

She said: ‘It’s like they knew exactly what I needed to feel in that moment. It meant, and still means, so very much to me. The power of sisterhood and female support can never be underestimated.’

But she said the public has ‘misconceptions’ about her, adding: ‘I think that what happens, looking in from the outside, when there is this much noise, is that you become dehumanised’.

She she hopes her Archetypes podcast will help people see her as a ‘real person’.

Meghan Markle is ‘not capable of learning lessons’: Lady Colin Campbell blasts Duchess of Sussex

Meghan Markle doesn’t learn from her lessons – Lady C

Meghan has suffered a dip in approval ratings

Meghan Markle is ‘not capable of learning lessons’ and has no regret for how her life has panned out since ditching royal duties, according to Lady Colin Campbell.

This is despite the Duchess suffering plummeting approval ratings following a series of scathing remarks about Royal Family members by her and Prince Harry.

Speaking on GBN America, Lady C said Meghan is ‘not capable’ of regret and will therefore fail to learn from her ‘errors’.

“She blames everybody else for her errors”, she told Nana Akua.

“I’ve been told that she is enraged because no matter what she does, it flops, and no matter what Catherine does, it succeeds.

“That’s infuriating for her. Meghan came into the Royal Family with the expectation that she’d be able to milk them as if they were the fatted calf, and that she was going to be able to end up having a billionaire lifestyle.

“She has a billionaire lifestyle without the money. They’re quickly running into serious problems financially.

“Every deal collapses, and all these phantasmagoric figures that they were bandying about will never reach their bank account.

“She’s not capable of learning a lesson which is tragic because, for all her personal character and personality flaws, she would have now been the most popular human being on Earth. Catherine wouldn’t be.”

Meghan and Harry stepped back from royal duties and flocked to California in 2020.

They said the decision to move stateside was dictated by their motivation to raise their son, Archie, away from the public limelight.

The couple have since welcomed a second child, Princess Lilibet.

Recent health scares have rocked the Royal Family and prompted discussion as to whether the couple would consider assisting them in their hour of need.

But this suggestion was rubbished by Lady C on GBN America, who said the Firm would not consider entertaining such a prospect.

“My understanding is, not one of the four participants of whom we’ve been speaking have any interest whatsoever in ever interacting with Harry or Meghan in an official capacity ever again”, she said.

“Even if Charles were inclined and Camilla went along with it to have some form of private rapprochement with Harry, there is no way there will be an official role for Harry or Meghan.

“They understand that would be drinking poison from a chalice that they could well avoid drinking from.”

Meghan Markle ‘lied to my daughter’: Half-sister accuses Duchess of misleading narrative about Royal wedding

Samantha Markle reveals Meghan’s alleged deception regarding daughter’s absence from royal wedding

The relationship between Meghan Markle and her half-sister, Samantha Markle, remains strained. Samantha is now publicly stating that Meghan “lied to her daughter” about the royal wedding, portraying her in a negative light. After alleging in a tell-all interview that the Duchess misled the public about their relationship and childhood, Samantha reiterated these accusations during an interview with Channel Seven’s Sunrise on Friday. Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha Markle has filed a lawsuit against the actress for ruining her reputation in an interview and a Netflix documentary.Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Markle has filed a lawsuit against the actress for ruining her reputation in an interview and a Netflix documentary.

Samantha Markle accuses Meghan of ‘spun narrative’

“It was really surprising to hear that there was a narrative spun that made Ashley feel like she was not invited because of something having to do with me, the 59-year-old stated referring to the Duchess of Sussex.

In May 2018, Meghan and Prince Harry married at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, was the sole family member present at the ceremony. In 2023, Samantha revealed the Markle family’s surprise at not being invited. Initially, their father, Thomas, was invited to walk Meghan down the aisle, but he suffered a heart attack just days before the wedding.

Now, Samantha claims, “I heard from a royal insider who knows, that was up to up Meghan, so Meghan lied to my daughter which made my daughter feel begrudging of me,” she said in the interview.

    ‘Meghan lied to my daughter’

Samantha, a writer and screenwriter, has been critical of Meghan since she began dating Prince Harry. The conflict grew when Samantha took legal action against Meghan for making defamatory statements in an interview with Oprah Winfrey and the Netflix show. During these interviews, Meghan referred to herself as the only child and hoped to have a sibling. Samantha’s lawsuit challenged the accuracy of Meghan’s portrayal of their relationship and their father, stating that she lied so neither she (Samantha) nor their father (Thomas Markle) “could not interfere with or contradict the false narrative and fairytale life story [she] concocted.”

In a fresh accusation, Samantha Markle claims Meghan lied to her daughter, leading her to believe that their absence from the wedding was her mom’s fault. “I can see how my daughter would have felt, torn between the two and then feeling perhaps like she could not go to the wedding because of me,” she added.

Samantha went on to claim, “That is not true, that is a lie. I found out that the royals did not say that, Meghan said that. She then lied to my daughter and made my daughter feel like it was something wrong with me that prevented her from going to the wedding.”

Later, Hale, the daughter of Samantha, shared her pain in the documentary, grasping the reasons behind the situation, and regretting its effect on her bond with Meghan. She believes her opportunity to join something significant was unfairly stripped from her, causing her emotional distress.
