An ex-royal butler previously hinted that the Sussexes were contemplating a more lasting stay in the UK, with potential plans to purchase property, following their eviction from their Frogmore Cottage base on the Windsor Estate last summer.

Grant Harrold, a former butler to King Charles, told the New York Post: “I’d never say never, it’s always possible that one day he might want to come home, it’s possible that he might buy [a property] here if he wanted to come over [more] and Meghan didn’t want to come over.

“Meghan doesn’t really have any family here as such, all her family are in the States and that’s where Harry has decided he wants to set up his home.”

Grant, who spoke for Oddspedia, comprehends the difficulty Prince Harry may have in completely leaving behind his British roots: “He’ll want to have that association with Britain just in case one day he does want to come back and I don’t think Harry will want to sever ties.”

Kate Middleton is “doing her best” to return to royal duties after Easter, a royal expert has claimed. Ingrid Seward, editor in chief of Majesty Magazine, addressed concerns that the Princess of Wales has not been seen in public since her abdominal surgery in January.

She told The Mirror: “The Princess is obviously doing her best behind the scenes to get fit and healthy so she is ready to face the publicity which will surround her return to public engagements after Easter.”

The unexpected revelation came from the Duke of Sussex himself, when recalling a conversation he had with his father about Meghan’s future in the royal family in his bombshell memoir, Spare.

When recalling a conversation he and his father had, King Charles reportedly asked his son, “Does she want to carry on working?” to which Prince Harry replied, “Say again?” King Charles then reportedly replied, “Does she want to keep on acting?” which led Prince Harry to say, “Oh.
