Style icon Victoria Beckham offered a nod to her Posh Spice days on Friday night when she donned an all-black outfit to watch Inter Miami’s match against Cruz Azul.

Victoria Beckham gave a nod to her Spice Girls days on Friday night by wearing an all-black outfit to support her husband David at Inter Miami’s match against Cruz Azul which saw Lionel Messi make his debut for the team.

During her pop star days, Victoria Beckham was rarely seen in anything other than an all-black outfit as she maintained her sleek Posh Spice image and it became something of a trademark for her.

However, since she turned her hand to fashion designing, the 49-year-old mum of four has embraced colour and is frequently seen wearing bright hues, usually from her own fashion line.

It appears she still has a hankering for the dark side though and she cut a stylish figure as she watched the game alongside David and her two of her children, 12-year-old Harper and 18-year-old Cruz.

The star wore a black, plunging top with spaghetti straps and a cheeky cut-out feature at the waist.

She teamed that with a pair of high-waisted, elegant pencil-leg black trousers.

She kept her accessories simple and just wore a chunky gold watch and dainty drop earrings while she wore her brunette hair loosely in waves.

The look was a more sophisticated version of several that she sported in her days in the chart-topping girl group.

The style icon is clearly embracing a return to the dark side as she is also championing the return of the LBD this summer.

The Little Black Dress was a wardrobe staple for her back in the day and she’s given it a modern makeover.

Taking to her Instagram she posted a reel for her 31 million followers in which she wore what she described as, “The perfect summer LBD”.

Posing in front of a mirror in her very impressive dressing room while wearing the lace-detailed, ruffled dress, she seemed to like what she saw.

“Now this is a bit more feminine than what I would normally wear,” she declared, “but I really like it.

“It has a little lace detail. It’s a great length. Yeah. I love it,” she enthused.

The dress is from her own collection and retails for £1,200.

Victoria Beckham reportedly “looks back fondly” on her time in the Spice Girls – but she is not keen to make a return to the band anytime soon.

Earlier this week a report claimed Victoria Beckham was gearing up to rejoin the legendary girl band Spice Girls for a massive headline slot at Glastonbury Festival 2024.

This report claimed the band, whose original line-up consisted of Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel Brown, Mel Chisholm and Victoria Beckham, had “provisionally agreed” to a number of massive tour dates throughout the country in 2024.

These plans culminated in an enormous “headline slot” at Glastonbury’s Worthy Farm, with Victoria “bringing ideas to the table” in the process.

However, a source close to Posh Spice has now spoken out claiming she has no plans to say she’ll be there when the band reunite on stages around the country.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, a source “close to Victoria” confirmed she “won’t be joining the band next year,” despite how much fans want to see her back in the line-up.

The source said: “Glastonbury is possible [sic] the coolest gig on the planet but Victoria won’t be doing it next year.”

Going on to describe exactly why Victoria is not keen to rejoin the Spice Girls, the source added: “She has carved herself a career as a fashion designer that she has put blood, sweat and tears into, so singing is something she has to carefully consider.”

What’s more, the informant also noted that Victoria has received a lot of negative feedback about her spot in the Spice Girls over the years.

The source added Victoria has been “hugely ridiculed” in the past for her singing.

Despite that, she still “looks back fondly” on her years in the Spice Girls.

“They were very special to her,” the source continued. “So she hasn’t ruled out a one-off celebration, maybe, at some point. And Glastonbury are not at all keen on having the group without Posh, it just doesn’t have the same pull.”

The original source from The Sun claimed the upcoming reunion was going to mark the landmark 30-years since the band’s inception.

The source explained: “Victoria will be 50 next year, and the [Spice Girls] turning 30 seems like two ­anniversaries too good to miss.”

At the moment, the Spice Girls have not officially announced any kind of reunion just yet.

While Nicola previously insisted “there is no feud”, she pointedly explained how Victoria had decided to break the news about the wedding dress to her mum Claudia instead.

Victoria was reportedly already upset at suggestions that she had in some way let down the bride-to-be by not coming up with a finished outfit for the big day.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Nicola said of the Dressgate saga: “The real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom got to make that for me.

“And I was really excited to wear it. And I didn’t end up wearing it.”

A source previously told The Sun: “David and Victoria would love to spend more time with their son and his wife, and be given the opportunity to welcome her into the fold, especially given that Brooklyn practically lives with his parents-in-law.”

The youngster was spotted in a Land Rover Defender in central London in his first drive after claiming his license.

Speaking of special vehicles valued at more than £250,000, there are Rolls Royce motors adding yet more class to the collection.

The England footie legend has been seen in both the Ghost and the Drophead Coupe in recent years.

Victoria and David previously gave their fans a sneak peek inside their family Christmas at home with the kids.

Whilst some were judgemental, the majority came to David’s defence.

“It would put a stop to the rift rumours and she and the family would love to see them.

Earlier this week, Brooklyn and his actress wife Nicola attended the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week.

Nicola, 27, previously revealed that she’d hoped her mother-in-law would design the dress for her April wedding to chef Brooklyn.

“I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress and I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created,” she told Grazia USA.

“We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it.

“So, I spoke to my mom, and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’

“I’ve been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel to [the atelier] to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.”

It comes just days after The Sun revealed how David, 47, was acting as a peacemaker for the family, with a source telling The Sun: “Frankly, the most interesting thing about Nicola is that she married into the Beckham clan.

“David and Victoria have both reached out to her to try and make peace, and find a way to get along.

“David and Victoria would love to spend more time with their son and his wife, and be given the opportunity to welcome her into the fold, especially given that Brooklyn practically lives with his parents-in-law.”

GIVEN that they only spent £77 on their Vegas nuptials, the marriage of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez is likely to last longer than, say, that of Brooklyn Beckham and new wife Nicola Peltz, whose recent wedding cost millions.

I say this not as “Mystic Moore” but as a science-based prediction taken from the last study available on such weighty matters.

Namely the survey undertaken by the Marriage Foundation earlier this year which discovered that ten per cent of marriages that started with a wedding costing more than £20,000 broke down within three years — twice the overall divorce rate of five per cent in that time.

Of course, every one should have the wedding they wish to within the means at their disposal, but in a global cost-of- living crisis “Ben- nifer” perhaps felt it would be a little tone deaf to splash the cash on wedding number four for her, second for him.

So instead, they queued up with four other couples to get their licence and, along with the five kids they have between them, headed off to Vegas’s famous Little White Chapel just after midnight.

They didn’t even pay for an Elvis impersonator because, according to J-Lo, “that cost extra and he was in bed”.

What a far cry from 2003, when they were first engaged and planned a 400-guest extravaganza (called off just hours before the ceremony) with a diamond ring the size of a small planet and three decoy brides.

This time, Ben changed in to his tux in the loo, Jen wore a movie dress she’s had for ages, and the pair of them look wonderfully content and carefree — perhaps liberated from all the fuss and attention that usually goes hand in hand with high-profile weddings.

Brooklyn and Nicola seem happy.

But would they have been less so if they’d popped to Vegas for a quickie and donated some of the reported £5million cost of their lavish wedding to a good cause instead?

And what about Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries that cost around $10million and lasted 72 days?

Or her later wedding to Kanye West that reportedly notched up a $12million bill and is now over?

Petra Ecclestone’s first marriage to James Stunt cost around £12million and ended in acrimony.

Last weekend, she married Sam Palmer in a “low-key” ceremony costing around £1million.

Cripes.

Perhaps if you’re an Ecclestone, that’s considered cheap.
Of course, there are plenty of lavish celebrity weddings where the couples are still together.

But cost aside, I wonder how many of them look at the simplicity of Bennifer’s big day and wish they’d done the same?

No fuss, no guests fretting about the table plan, no tricky relatives to deal with, no giant screens needed to shield the bride from prying eyes, no paparazzi helicopters circling overhead, no temperamental dress designer barking orders at flustered assistants, no vegetarian/vegan options to worry about and no giant rock you worry about being mugged for.

Just you two, your kids, and a cheap and cheerful ceremony with the minimum of fuss. Heaven.

Better still, the stats for it lasting the course are stacked in your favour.
