NO FAMILY’S PERFECT Nicola Peltz ramps up ‘feud’ with Victoria Beckham by saying ‘no family’s perfect’ – but Posh’s camp hit back

NICOLA PELTZ has reignited rumours of a feud with mum-in-law Victoria Beckham after insisting that “no family is perfect” and opening up about their wedding dress saga.

Speaking about her alleged fall-out with hubby Brooklyn’s mum, the 27-year-old American actress and model claimed that fashion designer Posh didn’t even call her to say she couldn’t complete her wedding gown.

But her comments were described by a source close to Victoria as “mildly infuriating”.

Speaking to The Sun, the insider even accused Nicola of “trading on the Beckhams’ name”.

While Nicola insisted “there is no feud”, she pointedly explained how the former Spice Girl had decided to break the news about the wedding dress to her mum Claudia instead.

Victoria, 48, was reportedly already upset at suggestions that she had in some way let down the bride-to-be by not coming up with a finished outfit for the big day in April this year.

The wedding storm follows claims of a widening rift between the two families, with Brooklyn’s billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz and his wife allegedly “looking down on” retired footballer David and former pop star Victoria.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Nicola said of the Dressgate saga: “The real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom got to make that for me.

“And I was really excited to wear it. And I didn’t end up wearing it.”

She explained that she had been in a text chain with her mother, Victoria and her stylist, Leslie, while filming and directing her debut film, Lola James.

She added: “Victoria was very busy, and a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Then I think Victoria thought since I was on set, maybe she didn’t want to upset me, so she called my mom and said that she couldn’t make the dress.

    Fuelling flames

“She said that her atelier (studio) couldn’t make the dress in time.”
Insiders have claimed that Victoria never promised to make the dress and Nicola’s version of events appears to be at odds with that put forward by people who know the Beckhams.

In the end, Nicola got married in an “incredible” Valentino number, which had taken a year to organise.

So far neither of Brooklyn’s parents have spoken publicly on the issue but last night a source close to Victoria told The Sun: “This all keeps getting rehashed, and is fuelling the flames.

“It’s mildly infuriating to say the least, and for someone who keeps insisting she is not interested in trading on the Beckhams’ name, she brings them up a surprising amount in interviews.

“Victoria won’t be bothered though, as this doesn’t reflect badly on her.”

Brooklyn is not exactly helping matters either.

Two weeks ago the 23-year-old wannabe celebrity chef posted an image of the controversial frock on his Instagram page with the message: “Six months with my best friend x wouldn’t choose anyone else to live life with”.

It blows a hole in Victoria and Nicola’s recent attempt to put on a united front.

At the start of this month Posh invited her daughter-in-law to attend her Paris Fashion Show.

Nicola duly sat on the front row with Brooklyn, while Posh displayed uncharacteristic emotion by welling up on the catwalk.

She said at the weekend: “The moment I saw David, and the kids and my mum and my dad and my sister, I just got so emotional, I really did.

“Because family is everything to me. To have them there, to support me, is just everything.”

Behind the scenes, however, there were hints that all was not well in the French capital.

Photos showed Nicola with her back turned to her mother-in-law during the glamorous event.

It did not go unnoticed that the fashion-loving actress also failed to comment on any social media posts showcasing Victoria’s latest fashion collection.

Instead, she congratulated British Vogue editor Edward Enninful and praised Valentino designer Pierpaolo Piccioli’s “stunning” show.

Brooklyn and his wife did not even stay on for Posh’s glitzy afterparty.

Their preference was to go for dinner with Nicola’s mum Claudia, 67, who she calls “my bestie”.

The Beckham clan have always been incredibly close.

Ex-England captain David and Victoria are helping their four children — Brooklyn, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 11 — to forge careers of their own.

    ‘It’s not a feud’

But their first-born appears to be spending far more time in the orbit of his wife’s family.

The Paris fashion show was the first time Brooklyn and Nicola had hung out with his parents since July.

And the love of his life won’t be going to her in-laws for Christmas for the second year running.

Culture and brand expert Nick Ede told The Sun: “It’s time to put the feud story to bed. The best way they can do this now is by showing a united front, like at fashion week in Paris, and perhaps use social media as a way to stop the speculation that there is a rift.”

Nicola’s insistence in her latest interview that “it’s not a feud” certainly has not done the job.

And Nick warned that her repeated insistence that “no family is perfect” has only made matters worse.

He said: “This will perpetuate the rumour mill and add fuel to the fire.”

Any ramping up of the alleged row by Victoria is only likely to further push her son into the hands of his American in-laws.

All the signs are that Brooklyn is truly loved up and Nicola says he is keen to start a “big family” with her.

He spends much of his time in Palm Beach, Florida, where his investor father-in-law Nelson lives.

Nelson has reportedly been giving business advice to budding entrepreneur Brooklyn.

But Nicola also revealed she isn’t about to let her husband get in on acting.

She cut Brooklyn out of her directorial debut Lola James, which is yet to be released, because he was so bad.

Nicola said: “He did a few parts in the background, which, if you pay attention, you can find him, but in one scene he’s like, ‘Can I put the mike on? I wanna say a line’. So I was like, ‘OK, say whatever you want, you’re just gonna walk into the store. You can say hi, hey, whatever.’

“He says the line. And I started laughing so hard. He had the most British accent ever. I ended up cutting him out.”

If her husband was offended, he isn’t showing it.

At the weekend Brooklyn posted a black and white photo of Nicola covering her naked breasts to celebrate the three years they have been together.

Brooklyn wrote: “I feel like I have known you my whole life. Happy anniversary to my other half, my best friend and to my gorgeous wife x could not live this life without you.”

GENERATION BECKS David Beckham’s kids set for ‘world domination’ with blockbuster Puma deals, model looks & ‘dynasty building’ romances

DAVID and Victoria Beckham’s children are taking the family brand to “world domination” according to an expert.

The megastar couple’s second eldest son Romeo has just signed a £1.2million contract with the sport shoe maker Puma – and their first child Brooklyn penned a million pound deal with British fashion outlet Superdry last month.

Romeo, 19, also hopes to be a top footballer like his former England captain dad, while 22-year-old multi-talented Brooklyn is showing off his cooking skills via a new YouTube channel.

Third child Cruz, 16, is aiming to emulate his mum’s success in the pop charts, and there will be a bidding war for the signature of their 10-year-old daughter Harper when she is old enough to model.

But that is just the beginning, according to popular culture expert Nick Ede.

Nick, who has helped celebrities with their public images for two decades, tells The Sun: “This is just the start of something for the Beckham children, because when they get to their mid-twenties they could be even bigger.

“The Beckham family are remarkably united, helping each other out and in recent years they have fused even more so.

“Victoria posts photos of David roasting chestnuts by the fire with his children, which reinforces this image of a strong daily unit that people and brands buy into.

“With the arrival of the younger generation, I think we are going to see them carrying on world domination for years to come.”

Here we look at why David and Victoria can bank on generation Becks.

    ‘Dynasty-building’ romance

At first it looked like David’s first born was going to follow in his studded boot-steps by gracing football stadiums.

But Brooklyn was cut from Arsenal’s academy at the age of 15 and instead turned his hand to photography.

Having interned with top British photographer Rankin, shot for Burberry and produced his own book of photographs, he is now switching careers once more.

Brooklyn has just launched own cooking show, Cookin’ With Brooklyn, on Instagram, where he has 13million followers.

Nick says: “We first thought that Brooklyn was going to be a major photographer, working with Rankin, but now all of a sudden he has this cookery show which has high-end production and will be extremely lucrative for him.

“In the future I can imagine David – who loves his food and is great friends with Gordon Ramsay – and Romeo cooking together.”

If that fails, he always has modelling to fall back on.

Last month he signed a £1million deal with Superdry and he also endorsed Pepe Jeans’ “sustainable denim” campaign with his wife-to-be Nicola Peltz.

It is his union with actress and model Nicola, 26, the daughter of a billionaire, which will do the most to raise his profile across the Atlantic, says Nick.

“That is going to perpetuate this dynasty,” he claims.

    Supermodel potential

With his natural good looks and ability on the football field, Romeo has the potential to be the most famous of the Becks brood.

The megabucks Puma deal is the highest sum earned by any of Victoria and David’s offspring.

In the past he has modelled for Burberry, Canada Goose clothing and he was the cover star of the Italian magazine L’Uomo.

Nick says: “Romeo has the potential to be a supermodel. He is photogenic enough to become a model even without his famous parents.

“But most models get a day rate, so to sign a £1.2million deal at the age of 19 is very unusual.

Romeo is photogenic enough to become a model even without his famous parents

    Nick Ede

“The power of his name and celebrity is worth that to Puma. These brands want young ambassadors who can introduce a whole new following to them, so they are embedded into their later life.”

His 3.2million Instagram followers is 10 million behind his older brother, but is enough to guarantee huge sums for backing products on social media.

Romeo’s 19-year-old girlfriend Mia Regan, from Chippenham, was described by Tatler magazine as “The It Girl of Lockdown Three”, so this could be another power couple in the making.

Romeo also plays for Fort Lauderdale CF, the reserve team for US side Inter Miami, which is part owned by David.

Of all the four kids, it is the second born who is the only one likely to stick with sport.

Nick thinks that taking up his father’s game is going to “garner a lot of attention”.

    Cruz-ing into the charts

Former Spice Girl Victoria long ago turned her back on the singing career which made her famous – but her youngest son fancies a shot at the charts.

Megastar Ed Sheeran has given Cruz some songwriting tips and the youngster also had guitar lessons.

Ed revealed: “I went and spent a while chatting to Cruz about his music and teaching him how to write a song.”

Five years ago the budding musician released a song called If Every Day Was Christmas and recently has been perfecting his craft in the studio.

Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun has been guiding Cruz’s career, so there is clearly a belief in his potential.

“Cruz looks set to follow his mother into the charts,” says Nick.

Like his older brothers, the teenager has earned money by modelling.

Cruz is dating Bliss Chapman, who is the daughter of former model Rosemary Ferguson.

Both his parents have been supportive of his ambitions, re-posting his musical performances.

The only daughter in the Beckham clan could go on to eclipse her brothers.

She’s only 10 years old, so is too young to sign up for a lucrative modelling contract at the moment.

But big brands are sure to battle for her signature if she chooses to follow her siblings into the modelling world.

Last year her mum Victoria posted images of Harper showing off clothes from her fashion line and she has displayed an interest in stylish clothes.

Nick says: “Harper is sure to sign a fashion or beauty deal, she is so angelic and is the perfect schoolgirl.”

Harper has grown up on social media, with her family posting regular images and videos of her to fans.

Victoria has 29.3million Instagram followers and David has 70.3million, many of which are excited when their daughter makes an appearance.

Whatever career Harper chooses, she will have instant access to almost 100million people – and so will whoever snaps her up.

Josh Ritchie accused of ‘not paying’ small business for birthday set up

Nick concludes: “Brands know that both David and Victoria will endorse the posts made by their children to their millions of social media followers.”

‘She’s been able to contour for quite some time!’ Victoria Beckham says Harper, 11, is ‘naturally good’ at make-up but WON’T let her daughter leave the house wearing it

Victoria Beckham has revealed that her daughter Harper isn’t allowed to leave the house wearing make-up despite the fact she is very talented at it.

The fashion designer, 49, admitted her young daughter, 11, has been able to ‘contour for quite some time’, as she revealed she shares her passion for make-up.

Following the success of her eponymous womenswear label, Victoria launched her own beauty line, Victoria Beckham Beauty in 2019.

Harper, who has been trying out some of her mum’s products, has even joined her mother on research and business trips for the company.

Victoria, who shares daughter Harper and her three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz with husband David, told the Times: ‘She’s been able to do a full face and contour for quite some time. She’s good at doing it very naturally.’

She also revealed how their shared love of beauty means they love going shopping for cosmetics together.

Victoria said: ‘Going to Space NK is her favourite treat after school. If she does well in a test I’ll take her to the one down the road — it’s her favourite thing. She’s obsessed.’

During the interview, Victoria also admitted her husband, 48, has never seen her without her eyebrows drawn on.

Victoria revealed: ‘David has never seen me without my brows. They’re the first thing I do: wake up, put on the brow. Mine aren’t even, either — they’re sisters, not twins. I’m very self-conscious about the overplucking because brows change your whole face.’

She revealed that it is the first thing she does in the morning and confessed that her fans would be ‘horrified’ if they spotted her without them.

The mother of four said she even shaved her eye brows at one point during her time in the Spice Girls as a fashion statement.

Last summer, Victoria took to Instagram to share adorable clips of her daughter Harper playing with make-up at home.

She filmed her daughter applying some lip gloss from her mother’s brand in the mirror.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been branded “ruthless” following their latest controversial move, with a royal expert sending a huge warning to the Duchess of Sussex.

Senior members of the Royal Family were in attendance for Trooping the Colour on Saturday, an important annual event where they come together to mark The King’s official birthday.

But on the morning of the celebration, which also saw Princess Kate make her first public appearance since starting her cancer treatment earlier this year, some new products from Meghan’s brand American Riviera Orchard emerged online.

Richard Fitzwilliams claimed the “Sussexes were always ruthless in disregarding events in the diaries of other members of the Royal Family, ignoring protocol which was they didn’t clash”.

He told The Mirror: “An example was the release of a trailer for their Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan which coincided with the Cambridge’s trip to the United States for the Earthshot Prize in 2022.”

Hours before Trooping the Colour, Nacho Figueras, a friend of Harry’s since 2007, took to social media to to share that he had been sent some American Riveria Orchard produce.

The polo player was seen displaying a jar of raspberry jam and a jar of dog biscuits.

Fitzwilliams lashed out at the timing of the product unveiling from the Sussexes while also sending a huge warning to Meghan.

He continued: “Apparently two more products, raspberry jam and dog biscuits, have just been launched. To do this on the same day as Trooping the Colour shows a very naive approach to marketing as they know journalists keep an eye on what they do.

“Nacho Figueras, Harry’s polo-playing friend, posted that he’d received jam and dog biscuits and posted photos.

“Whereas cynics might say the raspberry sums up the Sussexes destructive attitude to the royal family rather well, on the jar it said two of two.

“If she wants her brand to succeed, Meghan better be more adventurous than this!”

During Princess Kate’s first official royal appearance in 2024 at Trooping the Colour, the Princess of Wales conveyed “striking similarities” to actress Audrey Hepburn’s iconic look in “My Fair Lady”.

The future Queen looked stunning as she donned a recycled Jenny Packham dress that she has worn on various occasions in 2023, which she paired with a colour-matching OC 155 hat by Philip Treacy, Mulberry’s East West Bayswater Clutch (£650) and Jimmy Choo’s Romy 85 leather pumps in white (£650).

Fashion designer, Amanda Wakeley OBE, said Princess Kate’s outfit and appearance conveyed a message of “classic elegance, sophistication, and a nod to the history of British fashion”.

Amanda said: “Kate’s ensemble exuded timeless elegance, a hallmark of Hepburn’s character, Eliza Doolittle, in the Ascot scene where she wore that unforgettable black-and-white outfit. The strikingly similar monochrome bow at the neck was possibly inspired by this, it was balanced by the striped waist detail added to her previously worn Jenny Packham dress – how clever of Kate to illustrate so beautifully how a garment can be totally transformed by the addition of new trims.”

The fashion expert added: “The overall elegance, sophisticated tailoring, and the use of classic elements like the wide-brimmed hat, monochrome colours, structured lines, and refined accessories all contribute to this classic aesthetic that Kate embodied beautifully.”

Kate, who is Colonel of the Irish Guards, completed the look with a pair of pearl stud earrings by Cassandra Goad (£5,620), while she also donned the Regimental Irish Guards Brooch.

Fashion expert, Amanda explained the symbolism created with the look: “It reinforces her role as a style icon who blends contemporary fashion with historical reverence, showcasing her ability to honour the past while still looking forward as well as sending the message of how effective and rewarding upcycling can be!”

In summary of Kate as a global fashion icon, she explained: “In three words I would say… impeccable, timeless, and elegant. Kate has a unique ability to blend tradition with modernity, and this outfit was a prime example.

“The tailored dress, combined with the super chic Phillip Treacy hat, created a look that was both regal and aspirational whilst remaining accessible. Kate continues to set a high standard for royal fashion, seamlessly integrating contemporary design with classic elegance, making her a true fashion icon.”

Princess Kate peering out of the royal carriage

The royal, who revealed that she was undergoing cancer treatment back in March, made a return to public life on Saturday when she attended this year’s Trooping the Colour.

It marks her first public appearance this year, as she last stepped out on Christmas Day. She had to take a step back from public duties following major abdominal surgery in January and her subsequent cancer diagnosis.

Kate, who bravely revealed her cancer diagnosis in March, explains the treatment can leave her feeling “weak and tired” on occasions. But when she is well enough she can focus on the things that give her joy and reveals she has started “to do a little work from home”.

While she will not be returning to duties full-time, Kate does now feel well enough to undertake a small number of public engagements this summer. Also, with the royal’s cancer treatment ongoing, it remains unclear when she will step out for another royal appearance.

Prince Harry has had a trio of “royal humiliations” over the past few weeks which culminated in Trooping the Colour last weekend, according to a royal biographer

Prince Harry has faced three humiliations in just a few weeks as tempers continue to flare amongst the Royal Family, a royal biographer has claimed.

On his visit to the UK last month, Harry was unable to meet with his father King Charles as the monarch couldn’t fit him into his schedule.

According to Emily Andrews, Harry also wasn’t invited to Trooping the Colour and was “uninvited” to the Duke of Westminster’s “wedding of the year” earlier this month.

The royal biographer wrote in Woman magazine: “It has been humiliation after humiliation for Prince Harry.”

She added: “Harry has broken so many bonds of trust with so many people, it is difficult to see him ever attending a society wedding or Trooping the Colour again.”

In a further insult, his rejection occurred despite the Duke, Hugh Grosvenor, 33, being a close friend of Harry’s and a godfather to his son, Archie.

It has been a major series of blows that highlight just how much the prince has been given the cold shoulder by his family and friends, according to Emily.

Harry revealed earlier this year that he wanted to see his family more and spend more time in the UK, but upon arrival last month, he issued a statement saying he wouldn’t be meeting up with his father.

He said this was because the King’s “full programme” meant he was too busy. Emily claimed he also couldn’t meet the Prince or Princess of Wales, as they are “still understandably too hurt” to speak to him.

In a repeat of last year, both Harry and his wife, Meghan, were absent from Trooping the Colour.

And Emily said it was simply “too awkward” for Harry to be in attendance at the Duke of Westminster’s wedding to Olivia Henson, 31, at Chester Cathedral this month.

She claimed it was deemed too “difficult” to allow Harry to attend due to the “frosty feud” between him and William, who said they didn’t want anything “overshadowing” the day.

Emily said this awkwardness extends to most of Harry’s family and friends, as many are concerned they could appear in a future book or Netflix series produced by the prince.

Meghan Markle’s friendship with Victoria Beckham started withering all the way back in 2017 over leaks to the press, a royal author has claimed.

A new book about the Beckham family promises to bring new revelations about the world-famous couple into the spotlight and one of them is allegedly the breakdown of their relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The House of Beckham by Tom Bower – out tomorrow (June 20) – claims that when Meghan met David Beckham’s wife, they initially became good friends, with the Spice Girl even offering beauty advice to Meghan, who was then the duke’s fiance.

But according to Mr Bower, a report by the Sun about their “growing friendship” was enough to cause the first cracks in their relationship, as Meghan was allegedly “furious” over the article amid the UK media’s ongoing probing into her life.

The report claimed: “And their [Meghan and Victoria’s] love of pricey facials and glamorous blow-dries has become the foundation for a growing friendship.”

Harry and Meghan are said to have initially blamed Victoria for the leaks, with Harry allegedly making a tense phone call to David, who, after speaking to his wife, furiously denied the claims.

“In the end, the blame landed on a beautician,” reports the Independent, which has serialised parts of the new book.

However, according to Mr Bower, the incident proved to be only the beginning of the couple’s rift.

The Beckhams ended up attending the Sussexes’s wedding in 2018, however their relationship is said to be “frostier than ever” now

The author also accused Meghan of being “deluded” to think she’s a higher social class than the Beckhams and claimed that she was left “irritated” when she discovered they were richer than her.

He wrote: “In Meghan’s celebrity world, ranking depended on wealth and fame. As a seasoned operator, Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order.

“She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself.

“They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess.”

Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued stark warning over future

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were warned against monetising their royal links.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were warned they need to stop cashing in on their royal links if they ever want to be welcomed back into the fold.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been estranged from the Firm ever since they quit their royal duties and moved to the US back in 2020.

However, they’ve been criticised for regularly trying to monetise their links to the royals mainly through releasing bombshell claims about life within the Family.

Now the Daily Mirror’s royal correspondent Russell Myers slammed their pair for their strategy and told Sky News Australia: “Members from the Royal Family have told Harry, if he wants a relationship with the rest of the family, then first and foremost, he has got to stop talking about them. They can’t go about making money off their associations with the royal family. They’re going to [have to] sort of realize, if they’re going to have a relationship with the rest of the Royal Family, they can’t go about trashing them.”

He added: “Hopefully, they’ll see that the royal family are very united without them, and if they do want a relationship, going forward, they need to take the steam out of their relationship and out of the things they say sometimes.”

Inside Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward’s wedding as pair celebrate 25th anniversary

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary today. Here Express.co.uk shares eight pictures to mark their special day.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are celebrating a major milestone in their relationship today – 25 years of marriage.

The couple tied the knot on June 19, 1999 and now share two children, Lady Louise Windsor, 20, and James, Earl of Wessex, 16.

As they celebrate 25 years of wedded bliss, the couple now appear stronger than ever after anything but a smooth ride as two of the most popular members of the Royal Family.

Known for their low-key approach to royal life, the pair have opted to live a life majorly away from the royal spotlight – although they are never far away when it comes to helping King Charles and Queen Camilla in their roles in the monarchy.

Here, Express.co.uk reminiscences on the couple’s special day and all the memories from 1999 that they are likely to be looking back on today.

    Sophie and Edward's engagement

The official start of their wedding story began on when they announced their engagement on January 6, 1999. Prince Edward popped the question to Sophie with a stunning Asprey and Garrard white gold ring featuring a two-carat oval diamond surrounded by two heart-shaped gemstones and rumoured to be worth £105,000. Sophie worked in public relations when she met her future husband in 1993. Sophie was leading the publicity for the Prince’s Real Tennis Challenge event – where Edward was in attendance.

According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Edward “surreptitiously” asked for Sophie’s phone number that night in 1993 – and the rest is history. Edward reportedly told reporters – after their engagement was leaked by The Sun: “It’s impossible to understand why it has taken me this long, but I don’t think it would have been right before, and I don’t think she would have said yes.” Their wedding took place on June 19, 1999 – around five months after announcing their engagement.

Prince Edward and Sophie had a relatively simple Royal Wedding, with no ceremonial state or military involvement – a wish voiced by the couple. The ceremony was mainly a family occasion. Their wedding took place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle – the same venue that his nephew, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married almost two decades later. Edward was bestowed the Earl of Wessex hours before the ceremony – a title now held by the couple’s son James.

Members of the Royal Family were invited to celebrate the wedding of Prince Edward and Sophie. Edward’s two brothers, the now-King Charles and Prince Andrew, both served as his supporters – which is the royal equivalent of ‘best man’. The couple’s low-key nuptials saw only 500 guests in attendance, with a later 5pm ceremony and a request from Sophie that women need not wear hats. Then then-Prime Minister Tony Blair and other politicians were not invited.

Prince Harry, William and Beatrice at Edward's wedding

As well as the older royals, many of the younger royals attended Sophie and Edward’s wedding in 1999. A young Prince Harry and Prince William – who were aged 17 and 15 at the time – were pictured attending, alongside Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The couple chose Camilla Hadden and Olivia Taylor, who were children of their friends – to serve flower girls and two other commoners named Felix Sowerbutts and Harry Warburton to act as the page boys.

Furious Loose Women ‘feud’ as star claims she ‘doesn’t miss’ ITV show as she ‘wasn’t welcomed’

Carol McGiffin, 63, appeared on Loose Women from 2000 until 2013, returning five years later in 2018 before quitting earlier this year

Loose Women has become embroiled in fresh new feud allegations over claims a former star felt she “wasn’t welcomed” and “doesn’t miss” the show after her sudden exit.

Carol McGiffin, 63, appeared on the ITV programme from 2000 until 2013, returning five years later in 2018 before quitting earlier this year. However, since leaving, she has frequenly expressed her unhappiness at her time on the show, claiming it had changed.

Opening up to Women’s Own magazine this week, she declared: “No, I don’t miss Loose Women at all. My pronouns are P and Off. It’s just very woke and I can’t deal with the wokeness. I know I wasn’t really welcomed.” But she added: “That’s not why I am not there. I am not there because of other stuff.”

While she said that she does miss her co-stars, she said that she “doesn’t miss being on TV”. Carol hadn’t appeared on the show for months before she finally broke her silence and confirmed that she wouldn’t be returning, explaining that she had been forced to “step away” from the show after allegedly being asked to sign a contract which was “totally unjust and unworkable for me”.

In an interview with TNT talk radio, Carol said: “I always look back at when I started working in television and radio as the good old days because they were much less policed, I suppose. Much less restricted and it was a freer place to be.

“When I look back at the old Loose Womens I used to do from 2000 all the way until I left in 2013, they’re completely different. There is so much offence. People take so much offence at so much and they never used to.”Tensions grew between Carol and ITV over comments she made to suggest that news organisations had been “brainwashing” the public over the risks of Covid in order to spark widespread mental health breakdowns.
