Love Island viewers couldn’t believe Ciaran’s comments regarding one Casa Amor bombshell on Monday night, as others issued him a plea.

The Islander and the rest of the boys were stunned when six new girls entered the main villa. The original girls were over at the Casa Amor villa, greeting six new boys.

Amid fears by Ciaran’s partner Nicole that he might be tempted, she had no idea that Ciaran was being reunited with someone he already knew. It wasn’t initially clear how they knew each other and what their link was, with Ciaran confirming to the boys he knew new girl Ellie.

In a comment that shocked many viewers, he claimed to be unable to remember whether he had slept with her or not, having previously claimed to have slept with 120 girls. He was heard telling his pals he didn’t think “she was one of the 120”.

Viewers were in disbelief over his comment, as he then continued to claim he didn’t remember how things were between them before going on to suggest they just messaged each other in the past. He revealed they had not actually met, while Ellie soon revealed they did in fact meet and they had messaged numerous times.

Rowan has been encouraging Leanne to open up about her past and the trauma she has faced, using his tools and guiding her to speak aloud about parts of her life. In a shock twist, Rowan was recently revealed to be recording everything Leanne was saying without her knowledge. Of course, viewers will recall that Toyah has been concerned for Leanne and extremely sceptical of Rowan.

In recent scenes, Leanne even headed off to a retreat with The Institute and she didn’t even say goodbye to some of her family while earlier this month it was revealed that Rowan and The Institute had created an AI version of Leanne’s late son Oliver, who tragically died in 2020 after a battle with mitochondrial disease. And next week teases more danger for the cobbles as The Institute reveals a new recruit. In upcoming scenes this week, Amy Barlow opens up to Leanne about how stressed she is to which she decides to show her a video from The Institute to relieve her anxiety. However, Toyah is horrified when she finds Leanne showing Amy the video and is left further startled to learn that Amy is considering investing.

And next week airs a worrying development as Amy appears to join The Institute. In upcoming scenes, Rowan calls Leanne asking her to attend the taster session for new recruits to which protective sibling Toyah offers to go with her. As they arrive at the Chariot Square Hotel for the new recruits session, Leanne is delighted to see Amy amongst the attendees. Is Amy in danger and can Toyah save her before its too late?

It comes after Rowan actor Emrhys Cooper warned that his character could recruit more cobbles’ residents to The Institute. On the repercussions, he went on: “I think there are gonna be consequences for her actions for sure. Using her relationship with Amy who trusts Leanne, so there will be some repercussions for that but I can’t tell you what.”

He went on regarding what’s ahead: “We’re gonna see a new recruit and we’re gonna witness Leanne’s skills, cos she’s been trained up. So it will be interesting to see how she’s using those learned skills to attract Amy.

The presenter, 47, who admitted at the start of the show she was suffering with a heavy cold, had to run off the set after she started having a coughing fit while hosting a segment with TV doctors about antidepressants.

This meant co-star Ben Shephard was forced to host alone before Cat later joined him back in the studio following her coughing fit. During the segment, Cat started coughing before she was seen running off set with Ben, 49, explaining: “I think Cat’s having to sneak out because she’s about to have a coughing fit! We’ve got doctors here, we’re alright!” to which Tony, one of the TV doctors, asked if Cat was okay.

Later, Cat returned to the studio where Ben asked if she had recovered to which the star admitted her eye was running and she was sucking a Strepsil to prevent any further coughing.
