ITV’s Loose Women erupts into laughter as Miriam Margolyes swears live on air

Loose Women was forced to apologise to viewers on Thursday afternoon after Miriam Margolyes swore live on air during her interview with the panel.

Loose Women descended into hilarity on Thursday’s show (July 4) when Miriam Margolyes dropped a swear word live on air.

The 83-year-old former Call the Midwife actress was on the ITV daytime programme to chat about her latest book, ‘Oh Miriam’, with host Kaye Adams and panellists Denise Welch, Olivia Attwood-Dack, and Nadia Sawalha.

Miriam candidly revealed the reason behind her book release, saying: “Because they paid me”, which sent the audience and panellists into fits of laughter.

Kaye quizzed her further: “Can they pay you to do anything Miriam? ” However, Miriam’s response was swiftly bleeped out due to its inappropriate nature, leaving the panel in stitches as Denise clapped her hand over her mouth in shock and Kaye shook her head disapprovingly.

Still laughing, Miriam questioned: “Am I allowed to say that, oh dear? ” before stating: “I wouldn’t eat faeces.”, reports the Express.

Kaye responded with a chuckle: “Thank you we do love the preferred name,” while the studio erupted with more laughter.

Nadia attempted to steer the conversation back by asking another question, but she stumbled over her words, clearly tickled by Miriam’s antics.

Later in the show, Miriam divulged another tidbit about her book, which recounts her personal stories and escapades, mentioning that it required legal vetting.

“It had to be excised by the legal people”, she disclosed, “I said things about people I didn’t like that could be libelous, and don’t want to get into a lawsuit.”

Another fan joked about her colourful language, commenting: “Potty mouth #loosewomen”.

A third simply said, expressing their appreciation for the actress: “I like her! “.

Meghan Markle has been told her actions before the death of Queen Elizabeth II were “unforgivable” and caused a bigger criss than Princess Diana’s tragic death, according to a royal expert.

The former ‘Suits’ actress stepped down from her duty as a senior working royal along with her husband, Prince Harry, and moved to the United States to forge their own path in 2020.

But there have been several public spats between themselves and the Royal Family, owing much to their interviews criticizing the monarchs and the release of Harry’s controversial memoir ‘Spare’.

But Meghan’s particular role in the dysfunctional family may have contributed to the demise of the Queen, who died at the age of 96 in September 2022, according to historian and biographer Hugo Vickers.

Vickers made the startling comments while appearing on The Sun’s ‘Royal Exclusive’ show and called their feud the biggest crisis since Diana‘s death nearly 30 years ago.

“Well, 50 years doesn’t take in the abdication, so I suppose the death of Diana in 1997 was the big crisis point,” Vickers said.

“But, at the risk of being controversial, will the arrival of Meghan Markle prove to be a bigger one in the long run? Who knows.”

    Meghan’s ‘unforgivable’ act

Meghan Markle has often pointed to her treatment from the UK media as a reason behind their family decision to leave for a new life in the U.S.

However, Vickers has cast doubt on that claim – and then went on to suggest Meghan‘s behavior exacerbated the Queen’s condition.

“I think it’s quite interesting all that because I was in Windsor the day they got married and the popularity and good will towards them was enormous,” he added. “I don’t think it was the press, she succeeded in evading that very, very quickly.

“What I find unforgivable, is the stress she put on the late Queen in the last couple of years of her life.”

Gareth Southgate left stunned by reporter’s question in England press conference before ‘madness’ response

Southgate was left stunned by the question.

Gareth Southgate was left stunned by one question a reporter asked him after England made it to the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

On Saturday England banished their shootout demons by beating Switzerland 5-3 on penalties to book a place in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

Gareth Southgate’s side once again failed to impress, and only seemed to start playing with any great intensity once they fell behind in the 75th minute.

The excellent Bukayo Saka drew England level five minutes later, before the Three Lions retreated within themselves and hung on for penalties.

Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Ivan Toney and Trent Alexander-Arnold all converted from 12 yards while Jordan Pickford saved Switzerland’s first attempt.

England have now reached the semi-finals in three of their last four major tournaments, an achievement that should not be underestimated despite their poor performances in Germany.

At Euro 2024 England just about managed to top their group by beating Serbia and drawing with Denmark and Slovenia, before beating Slovakia 2-1 after extra-time in the round-of-16.

When asked by a German journalist post-match if England have benefited from an easy run to the semi-final, Southgate was visibly stunned.

“Look, the teams we’ve played are because we won our group,” Southgate replied after the match.

“If you go back through history, England had different routes to the final because we didn’t win our group.

“I understand of course, you’d rather not have to jump the Grand National to win the tournament.

“Most teams, when you have back-to-back games, two, three, four games against big nations the margins are so fine and then those games end up quite even – you win one, you lose one, so it’s very tough to go through those processes.

“I’m not really sure what to say, it’s the madness of this job, but it’s been an enjoyable night and I will try to keep it that way.”

At Euro 2020, England topped their group ahead of Croatia, Czechia and Scotland, before beating Germany, Ukraine and Denmark on their way to the final.

England will now face the Netherlands in the semi-finals of Euro 2024 on Wednesday. The winner will face either Spain or France in the final on Sunday, July 14.

In the midst of England’s Euro 2024 celebrations, Jadon Sancho added an emotional touch to Bukayo Saka’s celebrations.

Arsenal winger Saka proved key as the Three Lions advanced to the semi-finals on Saturday, netting an equaliser to force extra time against Switzerland before dispatching his penalty in the resulting shootout. Gareth Southgate’s stars have been hailed for their poise under pressure, which was in stark contrast to their shootout defeat to Italy in the final of Euro 2020.

Saka and Sancho each missed their spot-kicks at Wembley that day, along with the latter’s Manchester United team-mate Marcus Rashford. It resulted in the three players being subjected to a torrent of racial abuse, which led to multiple people being jailed for their online comments.

But as Southgate’s side conquered their demons in Dusseldorf, Sancho took Saka’s moment in the sun to banish some of his own. The 24-year-old – who faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford – congratulated his countryman on his heroics against the Swiss while reminding of their shared trauma from three years ago

The 23-cap winger – who joined Rashford in not being called up for Euro 2024 – posted a photo of Saka posing with his Player of the Match award alongside the words: “I’m so proud of this guy @bukayosaka87! You did it for me and Marcus brother!”

Saka, 22, was quick to respond and screenshot Sancho’s post on his own Instagram story with the caption: “My boys.” The trio were vilified by some supporters for their misses on the big stage at Wembley at Euro 2020, but Saka’s performance in the last-16 clash proved to be a tale of redemption.

Sancho wasn’t selected for this summer’s tournament despite impressing on loan at Borussia Dortmund in the second half of last season. It’s uncertain as to whether he’ll be given another chance under Erik ten Hag after falling out with the Dutchman last year.

Rashford was also omitted from Southgate’s squad after struggling to regain his best form at United last term. The 26-year-old confirmed at the end of the campaign he’d be taking a break from social media, with rumours swirling the United academy graduate could even leave his boyhood club.

“It’s time to come off Socials for a few weeks. I plan to rest and reset mentally after a challenging season individually and collectively,” he wrote on X. “Thanks to the fans that stood by me through a difficult period. To the ones that didn’t just remember at United, we always stick together.”

The Three Lions are now set to face the Netherlands in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

That clash could define England’s tournament as they face their first true top-level opponent. But Saka at least made the Euro 2024 quarter-final a night to remember for all the right reasons.

  • Prince William’s ‘right’ plan for Royal Family with twist ‘to spice things up’

Prince William’s ‘right’ plan for Royal Family with twist ‘to spice things up’

Prince William’s ‘right’ plan for Royal Family with twist ‘to spice things up’

The Royal Family has been spread thin in recent weeks as the Princess of Wales and the Princess Royal have been out of action – but it appears future king Prince William has a plan

King Charles’ reign has been characterised by his ambition for a leaner monarchy, avoiding the past scenario of Buckingham Palace’s balcony being crowded with non-working royals and their families.

However, with both the Princess of Wales and the Princess Royal currently unavailable, it’s been noted how thinly stretched the remaining members of the Royal Family are as they maintain their engagements and charity work.

Despite this, there seems to be no intention to bring in additional royals to ease the burden, and it’s expected to remain this way moving forward – a strategy that former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes is a positive move.

“I still hold to the idea that the slimmed down Royal Family IS indeed the right model for the future,” Jennie told OK! “It’s in line with most European monarchies and is sensitive to the constant criticism that the royal family cost taxpayers too much.”

“Adding new working royals to the payroll will only exacerbate that criticism. I think the model William has experimented with is the answer: drafting in his cousins here and there (e.g. garden parties) to spice things up a bit.”

“It makes such occasions even more special and allows those cousins to get on with their lives as they wish, without the strictures of the royal diary.”

“So I think the King and William are entirely right to be determined to keep the core of working royals a small, tight unit that can be accountable to the public purse.”

Jennie’s insights follow the revelation that Prince William is set to continue his father’s vision of a pared-down monarchy.

Daily Mail’s Richard Eden highlighted the Prince’s intentions, revealing a source close to William said: “He told me: ‘When the older members of the family retire, His Royal Highness won’t be inviting anyone else to become working royals.”

Eden further shared: “It remains to be seen if he will even want his two younger children to be working royals,”.

With Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, being the only other Royal under 60, speculation suggests that by the time William takes the throne and Kate is crowned Queen, they might be the sole full-time royals.

“That is what William wants,” the insider asserted. “He sees the small European monarchies as the model for the future.”

Princess Anne also weighed in on the debate about a more streamlined monarchy during an interview with CBC News, expressing her skepticism about its viability.

The Princess remarked: “Well, I think the ‘slimmed down’ was said in a day when there were a few more people around. It doesn’t sound like a good idea from where I’m standing, I would say. I’m not quite sure what else we can do.”

“Well, you know what you’re getting because he’s been practising for a bit, and I don’t think he’ll change,” she stated. “You know, he is committed to his own level of service, and that will remain true.”

  • Prince Harry terrified of losing Meghan Markle

Prince Harry terrified of losing Meghan Markle

In a candid and emotional TV documentary series titled “The Me You Can’t See,” Prince Harry delves into the depths of his personal struggles, revealing how the trauma of losing his mother, Princess Diana, continues to haunt him. The series, co-produced by Harry and U.S. talk show host Oprah Winfrey, sheds light on mental health issues and the impact of loss.

    The Fear of Losing Meghan

Prince Harry speaks openly about the fear of losing his wife, Meghan Markle. He explains that this fear was one of the main reasons the couple decided to step back from their royal duties and relocate to California last year. Reflecting on his mother’s tragic death, Harry draws parallels to Meghan’s experiences, particularly the racist reporting in the British press and the abuse she faced on social media.

Haunted by Diana’s death, Prince Harry talks of how he feared losing Meghan, too

    Haunted by Memories

The documentary captures Harry’s vivid memories of Princess Diana’s funeral. Walking behind her coffin through the streets of London, he recalls the sound of horses’ hooves along the Mall. Despite the public display of grief, Harry admits feeling detached, showing only a fraction of the emotion he carried within.

“My mother was chased to her death when she was in a relationship with someone who wasn’t white, and now look what’s happened. You’re talking about history repeating itself? They’re not going to stop until she dies,” Harry says in the mental health documentary series “The Me You Can’t See”.

“The thing I remember most was the sound of the horses’ hooves going along the Mall,” he said. “It was like I was outside of my body, just walking along, doing what was expected of me, showing one tenth of the emotion that everyone was showing.”

“It’s incredibly triggering to potentially lose another woman in my life,” he added, referring to Meghan.

    Helplessness and Anger

Harry also shares childhood memories of being pursued by paparazzi while riding in the back of his mother’s car. The feeling of helplessness—being too young to protect Diana—still haunts him. He confesses to burying his emotions, coping with alcohol, panic attacks, and anxiety in his twenties. The relentless presence of cameras triggers anger, reminding him of the injustice his mother faced.

In a 2019 statement released by Harry, he again said he feared to Meghan's safety and didn't want a repeat of his mom's fate.

“One of the feelings that comes up for me always is the helplessness. Being a guy and being too young to help a woman, in this case your mother, and that happened every single day,” he said.

    Seeking Healing

Now 36 years old, Harry has sought therapy to confront his past. His relationship with Meghan played a pivotal role in this journey. “If this relationship was going to work,” he says, “I had to deal with my past.” The couple married in May 2018, and Harry continues to navigate the complexities of loss, love, and healing.

When the royals are in the privacy of their own home, surrounded by just their nearest and dearest, they don’t call each other by their titles.

Many have their own nicknames for each other, with Meghan Markle revealing that she calls her husband Prince Harry, Haz during an unprecedented ‘tour of LA’ interview with James Corden. The Queen ‘s immediate family called her Lilibet and Prince William would refer to her as ‘Gary’ when he was younger as he couldn’t say ‘grandma’.

And the youngest generation of royals also use cute names for their elders. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are said to know everything about ‘Granny Diana’ and refer to King Charles as ‘Grandpa Wales’. According to the Daily Mail, the nickname Grandpa Wales follows the same format as the Queen used for her grandad George V, who she referred to as Grandad England.

But when it comes to Queen Camilla it’s apparent that she goes by a different name to the traditional ‘grandma’ or ‘nanny.’ Camilla, who has five grandchildren of her own, plus the Cambridge kids and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archie and Lili, is referred to as ‘Gaga’. According to the Sun, Camilla told Lady Gaga that her step-children called her ‘GaGa’ when they met during the 2016 Royal Variety Performance. Shortly after the birth of Prince George, the Duchess told the Daily Mail: “My own grandchildren call me GaGa. I don’t know if it’s because they think I am! It is funny but is still very sweet.”

Meanwhile, Prince George also had an adorable nickname for his great-grandmother, the late Queen, and called her “Gan-Gan”. Speaking back in 2016 after the birth of Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton said: “It’s very special having a new little girl…I feel very, very lucky that George has got a little sister.

“The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl, and I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here. George is only two-and-a-half and he calls her ‘Gan-Gan.’ She always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay and that just shows her love for her family.”

Bukayo Saka is receiving the royal seal of approval after an impressive performance for England against Switzerland on Sunday evening.

The Arsenal midfielder, 22, was one of the stand-out performers as the Three Lions scraped through to the Euro 2024 semi-finals after a dramatic penalty shootout win in Dusseldorf. Saka was among the successful spot-kick takers, laying to rest the demons from three years earlier when he missed an important penalty against Italy in the Euro 2020 final.

The heartbreaking moment at the time led to vile racist abuse, but he was able to step up and slot home his kick this time around and clearly enjoyed the moment as he cupped his ears in celebration towards the England fans.

He was far from the only one enjoying the moment, either, with a number of players, fans and friends taking to social media to share their delight. Among them was Prince William, who praised the pacy winger for his performance, which also saw him grab the vital equaliser during 90 minutes with a beautiful curling shot from outside the box.

The Prince of Wales paid special tribute to Saka as he embraced him in the aftermath of the win. Images of the elated pair showed William, 42, hugging the star in the tunnel following the tense shootout.

It remains to be seen whether William will once again be in attendance to watch as England take on the Netherlands on Wednesday evening. The game is to be held in Dortmund and 8pm UK time and the winner will go on to face either Spain or France in Sunday evening’s Euro 2024 final.

    Jessica Mulroney destroys Meghan Markle

    Jessica Mulroney destroys Meghan Markle

Jessica Mulroney she’s Meghan’s former BFF, a Canadian fashion stylist, and apparently the keeper of all Meghan’s dirty secrets. And boy, has she decided to spill the beans.

Jessica Mulroney: Facts About Meghan Markle's Best Friend - Daily Hawker

According to Mulroney, she and Meghan were running a scheme that would make the characters from “Hustle” look like amateurs. We’re talking about exploiting royal connections to score freebies, billing King Charles for bogus expenses, and then selling off the swag for cold, hard cash. It’s like “Ocean’s Eleven” meets “The Crown,” and I am here for it.

Meghan Markle and Jessica Mulroney's Friendship Timeline | Us Weekly

Now, let’s break this down, shall we? First, we have the freebie fiasco. Apparently, Meghan and Jessica were using the royal name to get their hands on luxury goods faster than you can say “God Save the Queen.” We’re talking designer clothes, fancy skincare, probably even gold-plated teapots for all we know. They were treating these high-end brands like their personal Costco, and the currency was royal clout.

But here’s where it gets juicy. They weren’t just hoarding these freebies like some kind of post-dragon’s treasure. No, that would be too simple for our dynamic duo. Instead, they were allegedly turning around and selling these items for profit. That’s right, folks—the Duchess of Sussex, fifth in line to the throne, was essentially running a royal yard sale. Can you imagine? Gently used tiara, only worn once to disappoint the queen. Asking price: your firstborn child and a small kingdom.

Meghan Markle targeted in anthrax scare | Page Six

But wait, there’s more. As if scamming luxury goods wasn’t enough, they were apparently double-dipping by billing good old King Charles for various expenses. It’s like she took one look at the royal coffers and thought, “You know what this needs? A touch of Hollywood accounting.”

Now, I can already hear some of you out there defending Meghan. You’re saying, “Maybe she was trying to save the taxpayers some money. Maybe she was redistributing wealth.” To which I say, if that’s wealth distribution, then I’m the king of England. No, what we’re looking at here, if these allegations are true, is a level of grift that would make the most seasoned con artists tip their hat in absolute respect.

Let’s not forget, this is coming from Jessica Mulroney—the same Jessica who was once Meghan’s ride-or-die, her Canadian concierge, the woman who was there for all the big moments. So why is she spilling the tea now? Is this a case of revenge served ice-cold, or is Jessica trying to get ahead of a story that was bound to come out anyway?

I can jst imagine the conversation:

Harry: “Darling, that’s a lovely new handbag. Is it new?”

Meghan: “Oh, this old thing? I’ve had it for ages. Now, can you sign the expense report for your dad? It’s for royal stuff.”

Jokes aside, if there’s any truth to these allegations, it could have serious consequences. We’re not just talking about a slap on the wrist or a strongly worded letter. This is the kind of scandal that could lead to investigations and legal action. It’s like finding out your favorite influencer’s authentic posts are all paid promotions.

Princess Anne issued some “no-nonsense” advice to Meghan Markle, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Princess Royal told the Duchess of Sussex that being a member of the Royal Family is a “job” as opposed to being a celebrity.

Royal commentator Neil Sean took to his YouTube channel to explain how Meghan “sought out” Princess Anne when she joined the Royal Family.

Sean said: “This senior royal takes no nonsense, much like her father the late Duke of Edinburgh.

“Apparently, when Meghan Markle joined the Royal Family, she sought out Princess Anne.

“According to a very good source, Princess Anne gave very sage advice to the new royal.”

The royal commentator opened up on the tough “no-nonsense” advice that Anne gave to Meghan.

“Princess Anne reiterated this mantra, she pointed out that it wasn’t a working monarchy, it was a job, you turn up on time, you do your research, and do the duty,” Sean added.

“It’s all about the project at hand.

“She also pointed out that whatever charities you are involved in, you needed to get involved and get immersed.”

As opposed to taking the advice head-on, Sean claimed that Meghan “left the meeting dumbfounded”.

He continued: “According to a very good source Meghan Markle failed to warm to Princess Anne, and Princess Anne always knew that Meghan would have a very short shelf-life in the world of the British monarchy.”
