However it was later clarified that it was in fact Meghan who had been crying, and Harry also confirmed that Kate had sent flowers over to apologise.
But in the book ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors’ author Tom Bower adds further fuel to the fire by claiming that Meghan compared Charlotte to her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter Ivy.

Mr Bower’s book quotes unnamed sources that said Meghan “compared Princess Charlotte unfavourably to her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter”.
According to MailOnline, the book claims that Kate had been “tired” following the birth of her third child Prince Louis, who arrived in April just weeks before the wedding.

The now-Princess of Wales was reportedly “too fatigued” to argue with Meghan over whether or not her bridesmaids should wear tights, although royal protocol suggested they should.
But the Duchess was firm in her mind that her bridesmaids should not wear tights, and was backed by her then-close friend Jessica Mulroney.

They also disagreed about the hem of Princess Charlotte’s dress, which Kate “felt was too short and anyway did not fit”, the book claims.

Meghan’s inability to “compromise” made Kate upset, but three years later Meghan was able to give her side of the story in her and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Duchess explained: “She [Kate] was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologised. And she bought me flowers.

“A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining – yes, the issue was correct – about flower girl dresses, and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings
And I thought, in the context of everything else that was going on in those days leading to the wedding, that it didn’t make sense to not be just doing whatever everyone else was doing, which was trying to be supportive, knowing what was going on with my dad and whatnot.

“It wasn’t a confrontation, and I actually think it’s… I don’t think it’s fair to her to get into the details of that, because she apologized.”

It is believed Prince Harry’s new life in the US is becoming “uncomfortable” with the glamour of living in California “definitely wearing off”, claims a royal author. The Duke eventually relocated to Montecito, California, with his wife, Meghan Markle after stepping down as a working royal in 2020, and he has settled in a £12million mansion with his two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, two.

Royal expert and author, Tom Quinn told the Mirror Harry’s initial delight with moving to America is fading. He said: “During his first six months in the States Harry found everything new and exciting, but the glamour is definitely wearing off. However big your garden and Harry and Meghan’s garden at Montecito is enormous, there’s only so much you can do when you have no practical skills and you have always paid people to cook, clean and garden for you.”

He added although Meghan is in her “natural environment” it is still an “unfamiliar world” for the Prince. However, Harry’s new life has also hit a roadblock with the initiation of a lawsuit by The Heritage Foundation, a think tank group. It comes as Prince Harry’s US visa application is being reviewed by a judge following his admissions about his use of drugs in his memoir Spare, something which he is said to seriously ‘regret’.

The Heritage Foundation launched a lawsuit against Harry to determine whether he lied on his full-time visa application when he moved to America. The royal expert said: “The couple have taken legal advice because they’re seriously worried that if Donald Trump wins the next election Harry’s visa may be revoked. Trump has insisted that if Harry is found to have lied on his visa application about his admitted drug taking, he could be asked to leave the country.”

He added Harry’s whole life plan could be threatened: “Harry initially thought this couldn’t possibly happen to him as the normal rules don’t apply to a Royal Prince, but he is increasingly realising that in the United States being a Prince doesn’t actually count for very much.”

They added: “Both Harry and Meghan were quite surprised by Sarah’s comments and couldn’t understand why she would distance herself like that. It has caused a bit of distance between the families.”

The source also admitted that Beatrice and Eugenie are not as close to the California-based couple as they once were, as “Beatrice and Eugenie have firmly pledged their allegiance to the Royal Family.

The source elaborated: “Eugenie and Jack are very careful about what they say to friends because they don’t want to be seen as bad-mouthing Harry or Meghan.

“There’s still a friendship there but it’s not like the close family bond they had before Harry moved to America.”

Prince William has made a big decision regarding Euro 2024 as the royal fans are expecting Kate Middleton’s attendance at Wimbledon.

Kensington Palace has announced Prince William and Kate Middleton’s decision that the Prince of Wales will attend the quarter-final between England and Switzerland alone at Düsseldorf Arena on Saturday.

Royal expert Richard Palmer took to X, formerly Twitter handle, and tweeted: “Prince William, president of the Football Association, will attend the Euro 2024 quarter-final between England and Switzerland at Düsseldorf Arena on Saturday, Kensington Palace says.”

Palace’s latest decision came as royal watchers are hoping Kate Middleton feels well enough to attend the high-profile Wimbledon competition.

The future queen has been the patron of the All England Club and delivering trophies to Wimbledon champions since 2016.

Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since cancer diagnosis on Trooping the Colour, King Charles official birthday celebrations last month.

Earlier, Prince William was spotted at England’s group stage game against Denmark last month which ended in a 1-1 draw after an early goal scored by captain Harry Kane.

England and Netherlands will meet in Wednesday’s semi-final.

The Netherlands appear to have been handed an advantage for their Euro 2024 semi-final against England following a UEFA decision.

On Wednesday England will play in their third semi-final in four major tournaments, with the Netherlands standing between them and the final of Euro 2024.

Gareth Southgate’s side have underwhelmed in Germany, but they will be confident of beating a side that haven’t exactly set the world alight either.

Wednesday’s clash will take place at the BVB Stadion in Dortmund, the second biggest venue at the tournament following the Olympiastadion in Berlin.

66,000 fans will be in attendance to watch the clash, although 60 per cent of the sell-out crowd are expected to be supporting the Dutch.

In addition, the fact that Dutch supporters have been allocated the stadium’s ‘Yellow Wall’ means the Netherlands will effectively have home advantage.

As reported by Mail Sport, UEFA have allocated half of the Westfalenstadion’s south stand to Dutch fans, with the other half going on general sale.

The south stand – dubbed the ‘Yellow Wall’ due to it housing the most vocal fans of Borussia Dortmund – is set to become the ‘Orange Wall’.

There will be some England fans seated in the Gelbe Wand area, but they will be massively outnumbered by thousands of Oranje supporters.

England fans might also be concerned about UEFA’s choice of referee for the match.

Dutch authorities are expecting between 75,000 and 80,000 fans to travel across the border to Germany, while 30,000 England supporters are set to travel to North Rhine-Westphalia for the huge match.

The winner of the clash will face either Spain or France in the final on Sunday.

Royal author Tom Quinn has said Harry and Meghan are now struggling because of the setbacks. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, he said: “There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned – she loves media attention and hates the fact that surveys suggest she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public.”

Meghan and Harry signed a five-year deal with Netflix when they stepped down from the Royal Family. While Meghan is set to launch a brand new show soon, there has been no news on whether their contract will be renewed.

The Duchess of Sussex has also launched her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, but is yet to sell any products to her waiting fans. Quinn said: “With news that the couple’s Netflix contract may be under threat, along with the mockery that greeted the launch of her online brand, Meghan feels very much under siege.”

American Riviera Orchard was launched in March, with very few details being revealed about what Meghan would be selling. It later emerged Meghan will be offering kitchen and homeware appliances, her own line of oils, nut butters, jams, and preserves, as well as home fragrances and furnishings.

“The one fly in the ointment is Meghan’s new internet brand, America Riviera Orchard. Meghan was in tears when the brand launched and her new jam was widely mocked for being expensive and nothing special,” he previously told us.

“She has reached the point now where she thinks that anything and everything she does will be unfairly criticized. Like her husband, she feels that people are unfairly picking on her – she cannot understand why people don’t admire her work.”

He claimed Meghan wasn’t prepared for any possible criticism she might face once American Riviera Orchard goes live later this year. “She is especially sensitive about any criticism of her luxurious lifestyle in the US – from her point of view this is something to be admired not criticized,” Quinn added.

During the debate, mother-of-five Stacey, 35, stressed that jobs being remote with flexible hours for working families had made life easier, particularly for those with children.

In the newly released House of Beckham, Tom claims: “Victoria agreed to provide a coat, dress, boots and a handbag worth £6,000 to Meghan for the Royal Family’s traditional Christmas Day parade in Sandringham.

“Later, Meghan wore a Beckham custom-made pregnancy outfit and a white coat and dress for a service in Westminster Abbey.

“Victoria’s style also attracted Melania Trump. She wore a Victoria Beckham dress during the president’s official visit to London.”

Despite the two famous women wearing her designs, it didn’t translate to many sales for Victoria’s label.

Tom added: “The financial benefit was nil.”

The biographer claims that there was one item that Meghan wore from Victoria’s label which did prove to be a success.

He continued: “The only success in 2019 was a £1,400 handbag that had been displayed by Meghan.”

However, Tom theorised that sales had been “prompted” by “Victoria’s Instagram video”, instead of Prince Harry’s wife.

The explosive biography also featured the rumoured rift between the Beckhams and the Sussexes, which is said to have developed in recent years.

Tom claimed Meghan was “irritated” that Victoria had “considerably more wealth” than her.

“As a seasoned operator, Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order.

“She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself.

“They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess.”

According to the book, Victoria reportedly made an effort to befriend Meghan, due to her family’s long-standing friendship with Prince Harry and Prince Wiliam.

Due to her wish to avoid paparazzi, Meghan allegedly stayed at the Beckham residence in Beverly Hills during a private trip, and it meant her “secretly provided for by the Beckhams’ staff.”

Tom claimed “a member of Victoria’s staff offered Harry’s fiancé advice on the best facials and hairdressing in London.”

When it was reported that Victoria had given Meghan make-up advice, the relationship is said to have soured, with the Duke of Sussex allegedly calling David to accuse him and Victoria of leaking stories, leaving David ‘furious.’

The Beckhams did secure an invite to Harry and Meghan’s 2018 royal wedding, however Tom claims that in a bid to “punish” the Beckhams, they were not invited to the wedding dinner, despite welcoming other big names like George Clooney, who Meghan did not know personally.

David was also “snubbed” by Harry after flying for 22 hours from London to Sydney at the royal’s request, for the 2018 Invictus Games.

Cracks allegedly first started emerging in the pair’s friendship in spring 2022 when the former footballer invited Prince William and Kate to his son Brooklyn’s wedding – and not Harry and Meghan.

AFTER flying for 22 hours from London to Sydney at Prince Harry’s request, David Beckham was puzzled why the prince had not met him.

But the prince had had no plans to see the former England football captain, nor even of being pictured with him, claimed Tom Bower.

It was October 2018, and Harry was hosting the Invictus Games.

Since David had played a prominent role bringing the 2012 Olympics to Britain and an important part in the 2010 unsuccessful bid for the football World Cup, it seemed natural for Prince Harry to ask David to join him at the celebrated competition for injured servicemen.

As a man who loved the royals, David would never refuse such an important request.

But having flown half-way around the world, he was perplexed why officials after he arrived at the sporting venue were playing a dance to keep him happy, but away from Harry.

She wanted no competition in the media from David, and especially not from his wife, Victoria.

The reason for the distance was Meghan, the newly married Duchess of Sussex.

At the time, a source said: “David’s attachment and history go back with William and Kate and they have a very strong relationship and they were their choice of wedding guests.

“It was always about them, it was never about Meghan and Harry.

“They are the people David and Victoria are attached to and it’s always been about them because they’ve had a long history together.”

And perhaps it wasn’t a coincidence that after the apparent ‘snub’, Meghan seemingly stopped wearing Victoria’s designs – while Kate wore them more frequently.

It seems the Beckhams’ loyalty to the other members of the royal family has paid off, with David being given a top charity ambassador role by King Charles after the pair bonded over love of nature.

Ex-Manchester United ace Becks, 49, surprised the King, 75, last year with a jar of his homemade honey then chatted about their passion for beekeeping.
