David Beckham faces criticism when talking about growing up ‘in an era where mental health is not talked about’

David Beckham is sharing how much he’s learned about mental health over the years.

“I grew up in an era where, you know, mental health wasn’t really talked about,” the now-retired soccer star, 49.

Said at a Los Angeles screening for the second episode of his new Netflix documentary series, Beckham.

“And that I suppose is the one thing I take from this documentary is how important mental health is.

A particular pain point for Beckham was revisiting his 1998 World Cup loss.

But he said discussing it in his documentary “made me get over certain things and feel better about certain things that have happened, you know.

Whether it was leaving Manchester United or getting sent off in ‘98 or, you know, some of the other things that happened throughout my career. It did make me feel better.”

He explained how the mental health landscape used to be different. “Twenty years ago, people wasn’t talking about or asking, ‘Are you okay?’ Or ‘How do you feel?’”

He continued, “Now, thankfully, people are talking about it. So that’s the one [thing] that I can take from being able to talk about this. On the therapy side, you know, being able to talk about some of the things for the first time, was therapy for me. And I wouldn’t say it gave me closure because I still feel pain from the most moments. But it made me feel better about those moments.”

He added that the documentary impacted his mother as well, sharing that, “she came up to me, she said, ‘You don’t have to feel bad.’ And that, obviously, made me emotional as well.”

Beckham shared that when he got a “very rough cut” of the first two episodes, he and his wife of nearly 25 years, Victoria Beckham, “watched it on an iPad in bed, no frills.”

“We laughed. We cried. And at the end of those two hours,” Beckham said, “We’re exhausted.”

“What we’ve done in those last 20 years,” he said, reflecting. “It was just like an emotional journey.”

But, it wasn’t only about healing old wounds, Beckham said, adding that the documentary scored him some points with his youngest son, Cruz, who, after watching the series, said, “‘Dad, I didn’t realize you were really good?’”

  • Victoria revealed the painstaking process behind the Bridgerton star’s Met Gala look that left Beckham in tears

Victoria revealed the painstaking process behind the Bridgerton star’s Met Gala look that left Beckham in tears

Victoria Beckham has made her mark on fashion’s biggest stage as the designer created a jaw-dropping pink lace gown for Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor.

The 29-year-old strutted the Met Gala carpet on Monday in the see-through garment delicately accessorised with three-dimensional flower and butterfly appliques.

Keeping the actress’ covered with just a few well-placed blossoms.

The jaw-dropping look turned heads and perfectly met the Garden of Time theme for the evening, which honored the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s latest exhibit.

It highlighted rare and archival fashion, some of which has become so fragile it can no longer be worn.

Never one to shy down from a challenge, the rising designer was determined to work with archival lace for the Netflix star’s gown.

And revealed the tough painstaking process she had to go through to bring it all together.

Lifting the lid on the creation of Phoebe’s gown, the mother-of-four took to Instagram with some behind-the-scenes clips on Tuesday night, writing in the caption: “The ethereal silhouette was hand-crafted from archival lace, and embellished with over 300 lace appliqué flowers, hand-cut and hand-sewn onto a tulle base.”

The custom gown was evidently “fragile and delicate” but the designer was determined to bring in some stark lines in the silhouette in order to truly reflect the actress.

Victoria gushed over Phoebe dubbing her: “A classic English rose and a fearless actress with immense strength of character.”

Phoebe’s custom gown is the first fully custom Victoria Beckham item at the Met Gala and the Posh Spice star explained to Vogue that she wanted the dress to “be almost like an extension” of Phoebe herself.

Phoebe gently accessorised the look with some delicate silver jewellery and a light pink manicure.

  • David Beckham had a controversial reaction when he had a strange reaction to Harry Kane’s statement

David Beckham had a controversial reaction when he had a strange reaction to Harry Kane’s statement

The striker, who is world-class in his own right, has played with stars such as Jude Bellingham and Wayne Rooney for England.

At club level with Bayern Munich and Tottenham respectively, Jamal Musiala and Heung-min Son have been teammates of his too.

Countless other talents have also shared the pitch with him but, if the 30-year-old had the choice, it’s Beckham he’d love to star with.

Speaking to ITV Sport ahead of Bayern’s Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid, which is live on talkSPORT, he was tasked with answering a series of questions.

One saw Kane being asked if he could play with any other player from any era who would he go for, and he replied: “I think David Beckham.

“I was a big David Beckham fan, [the crosses] that’s what I mean, as a striker to play with Beckham must have been top draw.”

Had such a partnership ever come to fruition, then England fans could have been treated to potentially the greatest ever football duo.

Beckham is regarded as one of the best crossers and passers of the ball in the history of the game, assisting 267 goals in 724 appearances throughout his career.

Couple this with the 402 goals Kane has netted so far, then it’s a partnership that would undoubtedly cause nightmares for defences.

However, Beckham called time on his glittering career – one that saw him win six Premier League titles and the Champions League with Manchester United, as well as a LaLiga title with Real Madrid and a Ligue 1 crown with Paris Saint-Germain – in 2013.

This came just before Kane’s breakthrough season at Spurs, with the 30-year-old now regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.

Although Bayern have been underwhelming overall, the England captain has enjoyed an excellent debut season on a personal level in what has been his first campaign outside of his homeland.

Kane has scored 44 goals in as many appearances across all competitions for the German giants, assisting a further 11.

Bayern missed out on the Bundesliga title but Champions League glory is still up for grabs, which would see their star striker win the first major trophy of his career.

Had Kane been able to play with Beckham, though, there’s little doubt that he’d have accumulated many honours by now.

In support of this noble cause, David Beckham captioned the post with a simple yet profound message. He wrote, “Imagine winning the global goals.”

Beckham has long been associated with charitable endeavors. He consistently strives to make a meaningful impact through philanthropy, evident in his past gesture of donating five months’ wages to a charitable cause.

Diving deeper into Beckham’s charitable efforts, it’s worth noting that he donated his entire salary from a five-month contract with Paris Saint Germain towards a children’s charity. This generous act, as reported, amounted to an estimated worth of $3.5 million.

When asked why he made such a substantial donation, Beckham humbly stated that he had never played football for money. The Englishman emphasized that he had already earned a substantial income during his illustrious career and recognized that any charity would greatly benefit from his seven-figure donation.

David Beckham’s endorsement of Al Pacino’s strong message for a noble cause is a testament to his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the world. From his role as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador to his generous donations, Beckham continues to be a beacon of hope and inspiration. His actions remind us that fame and fortune can be used to uplift others.

Harper Seven had fun on Saturday at her mother Victoria Beckham’s flagship store in Dover Street.

Victoria, who turned 50 in April, shared a video to her Instagram Story of Harper, 12, posing around the shop and modelling its items.

At the beginning of the Story, Harper can be heard saying: ‘Come with me to visit Victoria Beckham’s shop on Dover Street.’

Victoria set the fun clip to The Lovin’ Spoonful’s Do You Believe In Magic? and wrote over the top: ‘#HarperSeven takes over 36 Dover Street!! Kisses @davidbeckham xx’.

Harper wore a grey hoodie, darker grey jeans, and a pair of white, grey, and black Nike trainers.

The sweet mother-daughter outing comes after the Beckhams celebrated David’s 49th birthday on May 2 and throughout the week.

As well as Harper, David is father to sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz Beckham, 19.

Part of David’s birthday celebrations included a trip to Spain with firm friends Tana and Gordon Ramsay.

Victoria gave a further insight into David’s birthday celebrations on Thursday when she shared a gallery of snaps on Instagram.

The former footballer looked thrilled as he marked the occasion with his family at Canton Blue, a Cantonese restaurant at The Peninsula London.

Following the meal, the former athlete looked surprised as he was treated to a Victoria sponge cake with several candles on as his family sang happy birthday amid a backdrop of balloons.

Earlier in the day, Victoria delighted fans as she shared a shirtless clip of her husband as he completed a workout despite it being his birthday.

The former Manchester United player looked incredible as he posed topless wearing only a pair of tiny blue gym shorts and green trainers.

As Victoria swooned: ‘Birthday boy doing a birthday workout, looking good’, David jokily flexed his muscles as he showcased his washboard abs and toned physique.

David then broke into laughter as Victoria added: ‘Happy birthday’.

IT SUCKED! Harry HUMILIATED As Viewers SWITCH OFF His ITV Interview: ‘No One Watches It’

In the ongoing saga of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a significant development has emerged, placing Prince Harry under intense scrutiny on social media for alleged falsehoods. This has ignited widespread discussion and a sense of vindication among his critics.

The controversy began with a statement made by Prince Harry in an ITV documentary.

He suggested that it would have been beneficial if the royal family had united with him to confront the media. However, contrary to Harry’s assertion, historical actions by the royal family tell a different story.

Prince William, in particular, has been proactive in challenging unethical media practices.

He played a crucial role in exposing the phone hacking scandal that led to the Leveson Inquiry.

The Leveson Inquiry, chaired by Lord Justice Leveson, was a comprehensive investigation into the practices and ethics of the British press, initiated in July 2011 following the News International phone hacking scandal.

The inquiry resulted in significant reforms in British media law and the prosecution of those responsible for illegal activities. Prince William’s involvement in alerting law enforcement about phone hacking underscored the royal family’s commitment to media accountability, contradicting Harry’s claim of inaction.

Prince Harry received a settlement of £140,000 after a high court judge ruled that unlawful methods had been used to collect evidence on him for tabloid stories. It was determined that 15 out of 30 stories about him by MGN (Mirror Group Newspapers) were the result of invasions of his privacy.

Despite this legal victory, viewers grew weary of Harry’s complaints about being under constant surveillance during his younger years, as expressed in the ITV documentary.

Many viewers admitted to switching off the documentary, expressing their fatigue with Harry’s narrative. Social media reactions ranged from frustration to outright refusal to watch the interview. Critics argue that Harry and Meghan’s strategy involves attempting to rewrite history by presenting their preferred narrative, assuming the public has a short memory. However, this tactic faces growing resistance. Platforms like Twitter are now actively debunking false claims, providing a counternarrative to the couple’s statements.

A source told Express UK that Harry’s desire to repeatedly air his grievances in public would damage his reputation and exacerbate the rift within the family. The royal family’s motto of “never complain, never explain” has been upheld for over 100 years, and they are reluctant to be dragged into any more public media storms.

“Although some of what Harry says might be valid, the family doesn’t want to be dragged into any more public media storms,” said the source. “If there was some kind of media blackout and trust built between Harry and the family, it could lead to a better relationship. But as long as he continues to speak out or make comments about the royal family, it’s not going to happen. He just needs to learn to keep quiet. The royal family doesn’t want to be dragged into any more public spats or negative press stories.”

THAT B@ST@RD WILL INHERIT NOTHING FROM ME! Meg Furious as Charles Removes Arch From Succession Line

In a stunning address, King Charles III delivered a message that shook the foundations of the British monarchy. The world tuned in, eagerly anticipating the first major speech from the new king, weeks after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Draped in the weight of his newfound responsibilities, King Charles stood at the podium, his expression unreadable, as he prepared to make a groundbreaking announcement.

“My fellow subjects,” he began, his voice wavering slightly. “It is with a heavy heart that I stand before you today to deliver a message that will forever change the course of our royal lineage.”

The silence that followed was deafening as the world braced for his next words. “After much deliberation and counsel, I have made the decision to remove my youngest son, Prince Harry, and his family from the line of succession.”

The collective gasp that followed was as if the very foundations of the monarchy had been shaken. King Charles continued, “This is not a decision that has been made lightly. The actions and choices of Prince Harry have not only tarnished the reputation of the crown but have also posed a significant threat to the stability of the institution we hold dear.”

King Charles delved into specifics, stating that Archie, his cherished grandson, would no longer be recognized as a member of the royal family and that Lilibet would never bear the prestigious title of Princess. The global audience was left reeling, trying to comprehend the full implications of this unprecedented move.

The rift between Prince Harry and Prince William had long been a subject of intense public scrutiny, but this level of estrangement was unexpected. King Charles emphasized the need for unity and integrity within the monarchy. “The unity and integrity of the monarchy are of the utmost importance,” he proclaimed. “As the rightful heir to the throne, I have a duty to ensure that the legacy of the House of Windsor remains uncompromised.”

This announcement had far-reaching consequences, especially for Meghan Markle, who had been a divisive figure within the royal household. For the Sussexes, this was a devastating blow, stripping away their royal privileges and leaving them to face an uncertain future.

The world grappled with the implications of King Charles’s decision. Would this bold move unite the monarchy or further fracture it? Would the public rally behind their new king or would this be the catalyst for a crisis of unprecedented proportions? Only time would tell. The reverberations of this historic announcement would echo through the centuries, forever altering the trajectory of the British royal family.

For Archie and Lilibet, the dream of walking the hallowed halls of Buckingham Palace had been abruptly extinguished. Their futures, once intertwined with the royal legacy, had been severed, leaving them to navigate a world far removed from the gilded trappings of their birthright.

As the cameras clicked and the pundits debated, King Charles stood resolute. His decision made, the final curtain had been drawn on this chapter of the Windsor saga, leaving the world waiting to see what dramatic acts would unfold in the next chapter of this ongoing royal drama.

  • David Beckham has to do something special at Inter Miami because of the FIFA virus Days, what happened?

David Beckham has to do something special at Inter Miami because of the FIFA virus Days, what happened?

MLS is a rare tournament in the world that still plays during the FIFA Days schedule.

Causing David Beckham ‘s team and many other clubs in the US to suffer due to a serious shortage of players.

In particular, Inter Miami is currently missing 9 first team players due to injury and returning to the team.

According to coach Tata Martino of Inter Miami: “This is very inadequate. The MLS tournament is still playing, while most other tournaments have stopped.

We and many other clubs also have the obligation to release players to the team.”

The New York Red Bulls team, the opponent we were about to meet (at 1:00 a.m. on March 24), sent a request to postpone the match and we agreed.

However, this request was rejected by the American Football Federation.

We have to call up 4 young players from the academy to join the first team and are waiting for permission for one more case.”

Inter Miami is currently missing 9 players including Messi, Freire, Campana (injured), Callender, Diego Gomez, Federico Redondo, David Ruiz, Shanyder Borgelin and Israel Boatwright (returning to the teams). The same is true for the New York Red Bulls, as many players have to return to the US team to compete in the CONCACAF Nations League on this occasion.

“In the future, the MLS tournament needs to organize a match schedule consistent with the FIFA Days schedule. It is difficult to understand, because during FIFA Days, clubs do not have the right to keep troops, while still having to compete. This will certainly reduces the quality of the tournament,” coach Tata Martino expressed.

“In the near future, when the 2024 Copa America takes place and the US team also participates as the home team, but the 2024 MLS season will not stop. They will only consider stopping when America hosts the 2026 World Cup along with Mexico and Canada,” AS (Spain) newspaper said.

The reason why MLS cannot stop playing during FIFA Days or the upcoming Copa America 2024, was explained by Mr. Don Garber – MLS executive commissioner: “If it stopped, it would be a financial disaster. for the tournament and sponsors. We are still considering initiatives to change the match schedule accordingly. But until now, all possibilities are still unclear.

American football’s schedule, including MLS and Leagues Cup, is very dense. In particular, the Leagues Cup tournament takes place in 1 month (from July 26 to August 25), while the MLS tournament after the group stage with a frequency of 3 days/match takes place continuously from near the end of February to mid-October in the regions. East and West, the top teams will be selected to enter the play-off round to compete for the championship (from late October to early December).

With quite unique characteristics, American football becomes an exception compared to the rest of world football. It is known that FIFA does not force any tournament to pause during the international match schedule, but they do force clubs to release their players for teams to compete in international matches. including friendly matches.

THE most sensational royal interview of all time saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex slam ‘racist’ Britain, the Royal Family and the Press.

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in California, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed all, while also highlighting the Duchess’ mental health struggles. Here is the astonishing transcript in full…

OPRAH: We can’t hug, everybody is double- masked and has face shields. You look lovely. Do you know if you’re having a boy or a girl?

Meghan: We do this time. I’ll wait for my husband to join us and we can share that with you.

Oprah: That would be really great. Before we get into to it, I just want to make clear to everybody that, even though we’re neighbours, I’m down the road, you’re up the road, we’re using a friend’s place. There has not been an agreement, you don’t know what I’m going to ask, there is no subject that’s off limits and you are not getting paid for this interview.

Oprah: I remember sitting in the chapel — thanks for inviting me, by the way. I so recall this sense of magic. I never experienced anything like it. When you came through that door, you seemed like you were floating down the aisle. Were you even inside your body at that time?

Meghan: I’ve thought about this a lot. It was like having an out-of- body experience I was very present for. The night before, I slept through the night entirely, which is a bit of a miracle, and then woke up and started listening to Going To The Chapel, to make it fun and light and remind ourselves this was our day. We were both aware in advance of that this wasn’t our day, this was the day planned for the world.

Oprah: Everybody who gets married knows you’re really marrying the family. But you weren’t just marrying a family, you were marrying a 1,200-year-old institution, you’re marrying the monarchy. What did you think it was going to be like?

Meghan: I would say I went into it naively because I didn’t grow up knowing much about the Royal Family. It wasn’t part of something that was part of conversation at home. It wasn’t something that we followed. My mum even said to me a couple of months ago, ‘Did Diana ever do an interview?’ Now I can say. ‘Yes, a very famous one’, but my mum doesn’t know that.

Oprah: But you were aware of the royals and, if you were going to marry into the royals, you’d do research about what that would mean?

Meghan: I didn’t do any research about what that would mean.

Oprah: You didn’t do any research?

Your Prince Harry and Meghan Markle questions answered

Meghan: No. I didn’t feel any need to, because everything I needed to know he was sharing with me. Everything we thought I needed to know, he was telling me.

Oprah: So, you didn’t have a conversation with yourself, or talk to your friends about what it would be like to marry a prince, who is Harry, who you had fallen in love with . . .  you didn’t give it a lot of thought?

Meghan: No. We thought a lot about what we thought it might be. I didn’t fully understand what the job was: What does it mean to be a working royal? What do you do? What does that mean? He and I were very aligned on our cause- driven work, that was part of our initial connection. But there was no way to understand what the day-to- day was going to be like, and it’s so different because I didn’t romanticise any element of it. But I think, as Americans especially, what you do know about the royals is what you read in fairytales, and you think is what you know about the royals. It’s easy to have an image that is so far from reality, and that’s what was so tricky over those past few years, when the perception and the reality are two different things and you’re being judged on the perception but you’re living the reality of it. There’s a complete misalignment and there’s no way to explain that to people.

Oprah: With every family things get serious when you’re brought in to meet the grandmother or the mother. The grandmother is the matriarch and, in your situation it’s the Queen.

Meghan: She was one of the first people I met. The real Queen.

Oprah: What was that like? Were you worried about making the right impression?

Meghan: There wasn’t a huge formality the first time I met Her Majesty The Queen. We were going for lunch at Royal Lodge, which is where some other members of the family live, specifically Andrew and Fergie, and Eugenie and Beatrice would spend a lot of time there. Eugenie and I had known each other before I knew Harry, so that was comfortable and it turned out the Queen was finishing a church service in Windsor and so she was going to be at the house. Harry and I were in the car and he says, ‘OK, well my grandmother is there, you’re going to meet her’. (I said) ‘OK, great’. I loved my grandmother, I used to take care of my grandmother. (He said) ‘Do you know how to curtsey?’ ‘What?’ ‘Do you know how to curtsey?’ I thought genuinely that’s what happens outside, that was part of the fanfare. I didn’t think that’s what happens inside. I go, ‘But it’s your grandmother’. He goes, ‘It’s the Queen!’

    Oprah: Wow!

Meghan: And that was really the first moment the penny dropped?

Oprah: Did you Google how to curtsey?

Meghan: No, we were in the car. Deeply, to show respect, I learned it very quickly right in front of the house. We practised and walked in.

    Oprah: Harry practised?

Meghan: Yeah, and Fergie ran out and said, ‘Are you ready? Do you know how to curtsey? Oh, my goodness, you guys’. I practised very quickly and went in, and apparently, I did a very deep curtsey, and we just sat there and we chatted and it was lovely and easy and I think, thank God, I hadn’t known a lot about the family. Thank God, I hadn’t researched. I would have been so in my head about all of it.

Oprah: (What) you’re sharing with us is that you were no more nervous as a regular person who goes to meet somebody’s grandmother.

Meghan: I had confused the idea. I grew up in LA, you see celebrities all the time. This is not the same but it’s very easy, especially as an American, to go, ‘These are famous people’. This is a completely different ball game.

(Cut to them and Oprah at their house)

Oprah: What are you feeling here (their home)? What’s the word?

    Meghan: Peace.

    Oprah: Peace?

    Meghan: Yeah.

    Meghan: Hi, Guy (dog).

    Oprah: Hi, Guy.

Meghan: Yeah, Guy’s been — Guy’s been through everything with me.

Oprah: Yeah, from the beginning, from the very first date, yeah?

Meghan: If Guy, I mean, I had him in Canada. I got him from a kill shelter in Kentucky.

    Oprah: Yeah?

(In Harry and Meghan’s hen coop)

    Meghan: Hi, girls!

(Oprah narrates) We put on wellies to feed the hens Meghan and Harry recently rescued from a factory farm. ‘I love your little designer house here. Archie’s chick inn. Oh, how cute is that.’

    Harry: She’s always wanted chickens.

Meghan: Well, you know, I just love rescuing.

Oprah: So, this is a part of your new life? What are you most excited about?

    Meghan: Whoop! You’re OK . . .

Oprah: What are you most excited about in the new life? What are you most excited about? Here, chick, chick, chick, chick.

Meghan: I think just being able to live authentically.

    Oprah: Mm-hmm.

Meghan: Right? Like this kind of stuff. It’s so, it’s so basic, but it’s really fulfilling. Just getting back down to basics. I was thinking about it — even at our wedding, you know, three days before our wedding, we got married . . .

    Oprah: Ah!

Meghan: No one knows that. But we called the Archbishop, and we just said, ‘Look, this thing, this spectacle is for the world, but we want our union between us’. So, like, the vows that we have framed in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury, and that was the piece that . . .

Harry: Just the three of us.

    Oprah: Really?

Harry: Just the three of us.

Meghan: Just the three of us.

    (Back to Oprah)

Oprah: You know, the wedding was the most perfect picture, you know, anybody’s ever seen. But through that picture that we were all seeing, behind the scenes, obviously, there was a lot of drama going on. And soon after your marriage, the tabloids started offering stories that painted a not-so-flattering picture of you in your new world. There were rumours about you being ‘Hurricane Meghan’.

    Meghan: I hadn’t heard that.

    Oprah: OK.

Oprah: So, there were rumours about you being Hurricane Meghan, for the departure of several high-profile palace staff members. And there was also a story — did you hear this one? — about you making Kate Middleton cry?

    Meghan: This I heard about.

Oprah: You heard about that. OK.

    Meghan: This was . . . that was . . . that was a turning point.

Oprah: That was a turning point?

    Meghan: Yeah.

William In TEARS As Catherine’s Heartfelt Words For Her Son George Amid Their Return

Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales, is set to be the center of attention this week as he rings in his 11th birthday. While it’s meant to be a joyous occasion celebrating another year of growth and development for the young royal, it comes during a difficult time for the family as they support Princess Catherine through ongoing health issues.

In a statement to mark George’s birthday, Prince William and Princess Catherine expressed their emotional well-wishes for their son. “George, you are the future of our family, the one who will one day carry the mantle of leadership and service that your father and I have dedicated our lives to,” Catherine said. “This past year has been filled with both private and public challenges as you’ve witnessed firsthand. Life can often throw us curveballs, challenges that test the very fabric of our being. But it is in these moments that we must find strength to rise above, to face each obstacle with courage and determination.”

She went on to reassure George that he is not alone, saying “Your father, your siblings, and I are all here to support you and lift you up.” With the princess continuing her battle with illness, she takes comfort knowing that “our future king is growing into a young man of integrity, compassion, and unwavering determination” – qualities that will serve him well as both a member of the royal family and leader in his own right. “We also want you to know that we are immensely proud of you,” Catherine added.

At a recent huge royal event, even the usually reserved Prince George showed his cheeky side while riding in the royal carriage. “Be they kind of proud of me?” he quipped to his parents, before turning to wave at the thousands of fans applauding their procession. It’s clear George is becoming more comfortable in his royal role and the spotlight that comes with it.

With the challenges of this year now behind them, the family is focusing on celebrating George’s accomplishments and continued growth. Unlike most children his age who would be preparing to start secondary school in September, George’s path is unique as a future monarch. He and his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, have been attending Lambrook School in Berkshire since September 2022.

Lambrook distinguishes itself from other UK schools in several ways. Students are required to attend classes six days a week, including Saturdays, and it caters to a wider age range than many prep schools – from three to 13 years old until Year 8. This means Prince George still has two more years left at Lambrook before deciding where to continue his secondary education.

One possibility George may choose is nearby Eton College, where both his father Prince William and grandfather King Charles attended. However, there is also potential for a royal shakeup as other options are emerging. Uplands School in Wiltshire is a coeducational boarding school known for its academic excellence where George could become the first heir to break tradition and attend a mixed gender secondary school.

There was also speculation Princess Catherine would want her alma mater, Marlborough College, to educate her eldest son. However, its image may no longer be the right fit as it attracts an increasingly global elite crowd. “Marlborough has become a more jet-set school, with many parents owning villas in Italy or chalets in Verbier,” a palace insider noted. “That isn’t Catherine’s style – she prefers understated wealth.”

As Prince George finishes his primary years at Lambrook, all eyes will be on where he chooses to continue challenging himself intellectually. But for now, friends and family are celebrating the young prince achieving this milestone 11th birthday, offering heartfelt support through the challenges of this past year and pride in the honorable young man he is growing up to be. Wherever his path may lead, George’s dedication to his studies and keen intellect will surely serve him well as he prepares for his future role on the British throne.
