Prince George and Princess Charlotte will make a surprise appearance at their great-grandmother’s funeral today, walking behind her coffin into Westminster Abbey.

The Daily Mail understands that the Prince and Princess of Wales thought ‘long and hard’ about whether their two eldest children, aged nine and seven, should join them.

But after George and Charlotte attended their great-grandfather’s memorial in March, William and Kate decided they could cope with the solemnity of the occasion. Louis, the couple’s youngest, is just four and will not be joining.

‘As parents they have, of course, thought long and hard about whether their children should accompany them,’ a source said. ‘Of course little Louis is too young, but they think George and Charlotte are up to it.’

It is understood the children will also be in the congregation for the committal service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor this afternoon. A decision is to be taken about whether they feel up to taking part in the procession there, too.

George and Charlotte will travel by car to the Abbey with Kate and Camilla, before joining the foot procession as it enters.

Before today’s state funeral service at 11am, a bell will toll 96 times, reflecting the years of Queen Elizabeth’s life. The service will, Buckingham Palace said last night, pay tribute to the Queen’s remarkable reign and lifetime of service as head of state, nation and Commonwealth.

It will be conducted by The Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster, with hymns including The Lord’s My Shepherd and Love Divine. Lessons feature 1 Corinthians 15 20-26, 53-end and John 14 1-9a, with all aspects personally chosen by the Queen.

A specially commissioned choral piece, Like As The Hart, composed by the Master of The King’s Music, Judith Weir, will be sung by the Choir of Westminster Abbey. The choir will also sing a short anthem, O Taste And See, which was composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams for the Queen’s Coronation in 1953.

The Archbishop of Canterbury will give a reading, while Prime Minister Liz Truss will read the second lesson, with prayers from leading clerics including the Bishop of London and Archbishop of York.

Tears are sure to flow at The Last Post and Reveille, as well as the first major public rendition of the National Anthem.

A rendition of Sleep, Dearie, Sleep played by the Queen’s piper will have huge significance to her family.

After the service, the bells of Westminster Abbey will be rung, fully muffled, as is the tradition following the sovereign’s funeral. The coffin will then continue its last journey through London and out to Windsor. The committal service at St George’s Chapel at 4pm will be smaller and far more personal.

And with no cameras present, the Royal Family will gather for a private interment at 7.30pm.

Meghan Markle Blackmails Prince Harry with Divorce Ultimatum Amidst Reconciliation Plans with Royal Family
In the world of royal drama, few narratives are as captivating as that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple, once celebrated for their modern approach to monarchy, now finds themselves at a crossroads that could change everything. Imagine the weight of a decision that could alter the course of your life—the allure of royal legacy versus the promise of a new life filled with independence and self-discovery. This is the reality for Harry and Meghan, a story that evokes sympathy, intrigue, and a deep sense of curiosity about what lies ahead.

Harry and Meghan’s romance began like a modern fairy tale. Their love story, marked by passion and defiance against royal tradition, captured the hearts of millions. However, the glamour of their relationship quickly revealed the inherent challenges of merging a life steeped in royal expectations with the desire for personal freedom. As they stepped back from royal duties in early 2020, the couple sought to carve out a new identity, one that was distinctly their own. But stepping away from tradition did not come without consequences.

The British royal family, steeped in centuries of protocol and expectation, was not prepared for the seismic shift that Harry and Meghan represented. As they settled into their new life in California, the couple faced a barrage of scrutiny from the media and public, intensifying the pressures on their relationship.

Recent reports indicate that Meghan Markle is feeling increasingly isolated as Prince Harry contemplates a fresh start with his family back in the UK. Sources close to the couple suggest that Meghan may be issuing an ultimatum: it’s either her or his family. This tension reflects a deeper conflict between loyalty to family and commitment to a partner—an age-old dilemma that many can relate to, albeit on a less public stage.

Harry’s desire to reconnect with his family has sparked concerns for Meghan, who has often been portrayed as the outsider in the royal circle. She has faced relentless criticism, and her relationship with Harry’s family has been fraught with challenges. The idea of Harry returning to the UK without her could be perceived as a betrayal of their partnership, leading to feelings of abandonment and insecurity.

At the heart of this conflict lies Harry’s royal aspirations—or lack thereof. While he may still hold affection for his royal roots, the question arises: how does he balance that with his new life and responsibilities as a husband and father? Meghan has reportedly urged Harry to focus on building their life in California away from the expectations of the royal family. This clash of visions for the future poses a significant threat to their marriage.

The tension is not just about Harry’s relationship with his family; it also speaks to broader themes of identity and fulfillment. For Meghan, the move to California symbolized a chance to redefine herself outside the constraints of royal life. She has pursued various projects, from philanthropy to business ventures, but the shadow of royal expectations looms large as she builds her own identity. The fear of losing Harry to his past becomes a poignant concern.

The media has played a pivotal role in shaping public perception of Harry and Meghan’s relationship. The relentless coverage often highlights their struggles while painting them as villains in their own narrative. This scrutiny creates an environment of distrust and anxiety, where every action or decision is dissected and judged. For Meghan, who has been the subject of intense criticism since her entry into royal life, the pressure to maintain a positive image can feel overwhelming.

The couple’s decision to speak openly about their struggles, including their mental health challenges, has been both empowering and a double-edged sword. While it has fostered a sense of connection with their supporters, it has also drawn ire from detractors who question their motives. This dynamic can exacerbate existing tensions within their relationship as they navigate the fine line between public persona and private life.

As the couple faces this crossroads, the question remains: what path will they choose? The potential for Harry to return to the UK could open doors to reconciliation with his family but also risks deepening the rift with Meghan. On the other hand, fully committing to their life in California might solidify their bond but could lead to feelings of alienation from Harry’s family. Ultimately, resolving this conflict may hinge on open communication and mutual understanding. The couple must weigh their individual desires against the needs of their relationship.

In a world that often feels divided, their story serves as a reminder of the human experience of balancing love, family, and identity. Another critical aspect of the situation is the impact on Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie and Lili. As parents, they must consider how their choices will shape their children’s understanding of family and identity. The children’s upbringing in a bicultural environment presents unique opportunities and challenges, navigating the complexities of royal heritage while fostering a sense of independence.

If Harry chooses to reconnect with his family in the UK, how will that affect their children’s relationship with their royal relatives? Conversely, a decision to remain in California could solidify a sense of autonomy but may limit their exposure to family traditions and connections. Each choice carries weight, and the couple must tread carefully as they consider the implications for their children’s future.

Despite the challenges they face, there remains a glimmer of hope for Harry and Meghan. Relationships often go through turbulent periods, but with introspection and effort, healing is possible. The couple has shown resilience in the past, and their commitment to each other and their family can guide them through this difficult time.

Meghan Markle has a half-sister from her father Thomas Markle’s first marriage. Over the years, Meghan has shared numerous falsehoods about our family and her past in an effort to shape her public persona.

For years, Meghan has maintained the façade that she has no children from previous relationships, but that has been a lie. I can now confirm that Meghan Markle has a daughter from a prior relationship— a child she refuses to acknowledge or have any contact with.

Let me explain how I learned about this secret daughter. Many of you know that Meghan and I were quite close growing up, despite having different mothers. After our father Thomas divorced my mom, he had Meghan with Doria Ragland. Since we lived nearby, we often saw each other.

Approximately 20 years ago, when Meghan was in her late teens or early 20s, she began secretly dating a man named Jason Walsh. At the time, Jason was a lifeguard at the local community pool, and Meghan was infatuated with his athletic build and sun-kissed skin. They kept their relationship under wraps, as Jason did not belong to the same affluent social circles as Meghan’s family and friends.

After a year of dating, Meghan discovered she was pregnant with Jason’s child—devastating news for her given her young age and budding acting career. The situation worsened when Jason denied responsibility, claiming Meghan must have cheated and that the baby was not his. Feeling abandoned during such a vulnerable time, Meghan made the difficult decision to give birth in secret and place the baby for closed adoption. She confided in our dad Thomas and me about her pregnancy, insisting we keep it a secret to avoid any gossip that could jeopardize her Hollywood aspirations.

For the past two decades, Meghan has carried the secret of her daughter while presenting herself to the world as childless. In 2011, she married her first husband, Trevor Engelson, yet she never revealed her adoption secret to him or anyone else. When she met Prince Harry in 2016, she began to worry that her hidden past might come to light. By that time, Jason Walsh had vanished, so he posed no threat, but Meghan likely feared her daughter might someday seek her out.

In a desperate attempt to cover her tracks, Meghan filed legal documents in California to permanently seal her adoption records, making them confidential. Only a judge could unseal them. She concocted a story for Harry about not wanting to face intrusive press attention as a teenage mother, but her true motive was to hide the truth before marrying into royalty.

After Meghan secretly wed Harry in 2018 without inviting me or our father Thomas, things began to unravel. Out of loyalty, I had kept her adoption secret, but feeling excluded from her wedding deeply hurt me. As a result, I began to investigate her past and discovered court documents revealing her petition to seal her adoption records right before marrying Harry. It became clear why she would go to such lengths to conceal her past.

I hired a private investigator to find Meghan’s now adult daughter, born approximately 20 years ago to Jason Walsh. After months of searching, my investigator located her. Meghan’s secret daughter lives just an hour outside Los Angeles and her name is Jennifer Walsh. At 20 years old, Jennifer has no idea that Meghan Markle is her biological mother. She was raised in a loving adoptive family that never disclosed the truth about her birth parents.

Earlier this year, I reached out to Jennifer, and breaking the news to her was one of the hardest conversations I’ve ever had. She was understandably shocked and had countless questions about why she was given up and who her real mother was. I gently informed her that Meghan Markle is indeed her biological mother. Jennifer was eager to meet Meghan to seek answers, but when she tried to contact Meghan through legal letters, Meghan’s attorneys swiftly shut her down, citing the sealed adoption documents. They told Jennifer that according to California law, she has no birth mother named Meghan Markle.

Meghan’s rejection of her own daughter after so many years apart is heartbreaking. All Jennifer wants are answers from the mother who gave her up. In a final effort, Jennifer has now hired her own attorney and plans to file a legal case to unseal Meghan’s adoption records, claiming the need to know her biological family’s medical history for her own health. This will be a significant legal battle, as Meghan can afford top-notch lawyers, but I genuinely hope Jennifer prevails. No one, not even a duchess, should have the right to dismiss and bury their child as Meghan has done.

I believe that deep down Meghan must have some maternal instincts for the daughter she brought into the world 20 years ago, but her arrogance and desire to maintain her public image seem to overshadow that. If Meghan truly wants to demonstrate that she has changed from her selfish past, she needs to do the right thing. She should be honest with Harry, the royal family, and the world about Jennifer. Meghan owes it to her daughter to confront the truth, acknowledge her mistakes as a teenager, and begin the healing process of reuniting.

Will Meghan find the courage and compassion to reconnect with Jennifer before it’s too late, or will she continue to hide behind legal barriers? Only time will tell. One thing is certain: I refuse to remain silent about Meghan’s hidden truths, even if it means she resents me for revealing her biggest deception. Jennifer and the truth deserve to emerge into the light, and I will keep you all informed of how Jennifer’s fight for knowledge unfolds against the formidable forces of Meghan Markle and the royal establishment. This story has many more shocking developments yet to come.

The ongoing estrangement between King Charles III and his younger son, Prince Harry, continues to captivate royal watchers and insiders alike. Recent reports from multiple sources suggest that the rift, which has widened since Harry’s departure from royal duties in 2020, may be more entrenched than previously thought, with Queen Camilla playing a pivotal role in the dynamic.

Royal biographer Christopher Andersen, speaking to Fox News, pinpointed what he believes to be the crux of the issue. “I think people have to realize that the one thing that Charles finds unforgivable is criticism of Camilla,” Andersen stated. He elaborated that Harry’s comments about Camilla in his memoir “Spare” and other public statements have struck a particularly sensitive chord with the King.

“Unfortunately for Harry… Harry said some pretty devastating things about her. He made it clear that he felt she was… the villain in the piece,” Andersen continued. “I think that still bothers the king, and I don’t know that it will be easy for him to [forgive]. I don’t think they’ll ever forgive Harry for that.”

This sentiment is echoed by an insider who spoke to Us Weekly, claiming that Queen Camilla herself is playing an active role in limiting contact between Charles and Harry. “Camilla dislikes Harry and doesn’t want Charles to get stressed while he’s undergoing treatment, so she tries to limit interaction,” the source revealed, referencing the King’s ongoing cancer treatment.

The same source indicated that Charles, 75, is torn between his desire to mend fences and the hurt caused by Harry’s actions. “He is holding out hope of salvaging their relationship but is hugely conflicted because Harry has hurt William and Camilla so much,” the insider stated.

Harry’s memoir “Spare,” released in 2023, contained several controversial passages about the royal family, including his feelings about Camilla’s entry into the family fold. In the book, Harry wrote, “I had complex feelings about gaining a stepparent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar. In a funny way, I even wanted Camilla to be happy. Maybe she’d be less dangerous if she was happy?”

These public revelations have reportedly had a profound impact on Camilla. A second source told Us Weekly, “When the docuseries came out, Camilla was furious. Then, when Spare [was released], Camilla was saddened by what was said about her. She was heartbroken and confused.”

The situation has been further complicated by Harry’s perceived lack of public acknowledgment of his father. Royal commentator Lizzie Cundy, speaking to GBN America, criticized Harry for not publicly marking Father’s Day with a message to King Charles. “Let’s not forget, this is a 75-year-old man suffering with cancer, going on with all his duties,” Cundy remarked. “You just think, ‘Wow, this man is absolutely incredible’, he is everything Harry isn’t.”

While some royal watchers, like Cundy, view Harry’s actions as “unforgivable,” others see the situation as more nuanced. The complexity of family dynamics, especially within the unique context of the British monarchy, suggests that a resolution may not be straightforward or quick to achieve.

As King Charles continues to navigate his role as monarch while battling health issues, the royal family’s personal struggles remain under intense public scrutiny. The ongoing rift with Prince Harry, exacerbated by criticisms of Queen Camilla, presents a significant challenge to the image of unity the monarchy typically strives to project.

According to a source, heir to the throne Prince William is already looking ahead to when he is King – and has already thought about what his reign will mean for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Prince William is reportedly already planning for his reign and what it will mean for his estranged brother Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The heir to the throne and his younger brother Harry have now been locked in a bitter feud for several years – and it seems there is no end in sight. One of the flashpoints in their rift was the publication of Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare, in which he claimed that William physically attacked him in a heated row at Kensington Palace. Harry and wife Meghan quit their royal roles almost four years ago and currently live in California outside the royal fold pursuing projects with the likes of streaming giant Netflix. And a source told the Express that when William ascends the throne, not much will change with regard to his brother and sister-in-law. They said: “William is already planning for when he becomes King, and he doesn’t see a future for the Sussexes in the Royal Family. The feeling is that allowing the Sussexes back into the fold is a bad move and they should be resigned to the fringes indefinitely.”

William and Harry were briefly reunited last week for the memorial service for their late uncle. The brothers are said to have stood practically “back to back” without speaking to another. The feuding brothers were in the same room for what’s thought to be the first time since King Charles’ coronation last year following the death of Lord Robert Fellowes. The service, held in Snettisham, Norfolk, last Thursday, saw the two standing just “five yards” apart, but reportedly did not exchange a single word.

Prince Harry made a rushed trip to the UK from his California home for the service this week after Lord Fellowes, who was Princess Diana’s brother-in-law as well as private secretary to the late-Queen during the 1990s, sadly passed away last month at the age of 82. But while the two brothers were able to put aside their differences for one day to pay their respects, mourners at the event claimed both made it very clear they would not be publicly speaking with one another. One mourner told The Sun : “They were only five yards from each other.”

It’s understood William, 41, and Harry, 39, sat on opposite sides of St Mary’s Church for the ceremony, separated by fellow mourners and the church aisle. “They were sat two or three rows back from the front, not at the back, but they were on opposite sides of the aisle,” a mourner said. “And then there were family members on the rest of the seats between them, so maybe that is something that was arranged.”

A source said: “A lot of people were taking the chance to speak to them. They were only about five yards from each other, it was virtually back to back. When we left the reception they were both still there, but as we were on a walk we saw Harry driven off in a black Range Rover.”

Rumors swirling within Buckingham Palace suggest that King Charles has finally reached his breaking point. In a bold move, he has delivered what many are calling the ultimate blow, effectively ensuring that a certain exiled royal couple won’t be setting foot on British soil anytime soon.

After months of simmering tensions playing out in the press, Charles has taken decisive action following Harry and Meghan’s latest controversial moves. As if criticizing their own family on international TV wasn’t enough, the couple allegedly crossed a final line that pushed the king over the edge.

Sources reveal that tensions reached a crescendo at the annual Garter Day celebrations last month. Charles and Camilla graciously greeted dignitaries as tradition dictated, but the absence of Harry and Meghan on the sidelines was conspicuous. This reportedly outraged Charles, who had been extending olive branches only to have them repeatedly rebuffed.

The tipping point came when the Sussexes, upon receiving an invitation to Garter Day, allegedly RSVPed yes with plans to make a grand public appearance. It’s rumored they sought a high-profile homecoming to bolster their Netflix profile and assert their status as senior royals, despite their departure from official duties.

Little did they know, Charles was aware of their plans all along. On the morning of the ceremony, Charles reportedly took the unprecedented step of removing their names from the official order of service at the last minute. Palace aides scrambled to redo the programs amidst frantic activity. When Harry and Meghan arrived at St. George’s Chapel expecting a warm reception, they were instead met with cold stares and turned away at the gates.

Witnesses describe Harry appearing stunned and disbelieving, while Charles reportedly refused to make eye contact and Camilla shot icy glances. Inside the chapel, cameras highlighted their conspicuously empty seats, completing their public humiliation.

But that wasn’t the end of Charles’s retaliation. In the aftermath of the Garter Day incident, he reportedly sent legal notices stripping Harry and Meghan of their remaining titles and patronages with immediate effect. Citing “grave breaches of trust and duty,” the documents reportedly remove Harry as Captain General of the Royal Marines, Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Honington, and Commodore-in-Chief of Small Ships and Diving.

Furthermore, their roles as President and Vice President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust have been revoked, relegating them to the status of plain Mr. and Mrs. This series of power moves by Charles underscores his determination to sever ties definitively and publicly.

Some critics argue it’s an overreaction, but as monarch, Charles sees it as his duty to protect the crown from those seeking to exploit royal traditions for personal gain. Others applaud him for taking a stand where the Queen could not, effectively closing the door on any future reconciliation.

In response, Harry and Meghan have reportedly aired their grievances in a fiery 14-minute podcast, accusing the royal family of racism, cruelty, and perpetuating generational trauma. However, Charles’s decisive actions suggest he’s resolved to move forward without them, marking an end to their tumultuous chapter within the royal family.

As Harry and Meghan navigate their future outside the royal spotlight, one thing is clear: King Charles’s decisive blow has sealed their fate in the royal realm, ensuring there’s no turning back for the once-favored couple.

Prince Harry Pleads for Forgiveness After King Charles Spencer Expels Him from Althorp Estate

Prince Harry Pleads for Forgiveness After King Charles Spencer Expels Him from Althorp Estate
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is at the center of a bitter feud with his uncle, Charles Spencer, the current owner of Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire. The estate holds deep personal significance for Harry, as it was the childhood home of his late mother, Princess Diana. The rift between Harry and Charles Spencer has reached a boiling point, with Spencer taking the drastic step of expelling the disgraced Prince from the estate.

This incident has sent shockwaves through both the royal family and the public, who have long been fascinated by the complex relationship between the Spencers and the Windsors. The conflict’s roots can be traced back to Harry’s controversial decision to step down as a senior member of the royal family, along with his wife, Meghan Markle. This move, seen by many as a betrayal of the monarchy, has had far-reaching consequences for the Prince.

In the aftermath of the Megxit saga, Harry and Meghan have been involved in a series of public feuds and scandals, further damaging their reputation and standing within the royal family. The latest incident at Althorp Estate appears to be the culmination of these ongoing tensions.

According to sources close to the Spencer family, Charles Spencer was deeply offended by Harry’s perceived lack of respect for the royal institution and his mother’s legacy. Althorp Estate, which has been in the Spencer family for generations, holds immense sentimental value for Charles, who has dedicated himself to preserving his sister’s memory and the estate’s rich history. Charles has always been fiercely protective of his family’s legacy, and he views Harry’s actions as a betrayal of everything Diana stood for.

The confrontation at Althorp is reported to have been heated and emotional, with Harry allegedly begging for forgiveness and pleading with his uncle to reconsider. However, Charles Spencer has remained steadfast in his stance, refusing to back down and ultimately ordering Harry to leave the premises.

The fallout from this incident has been swift and severe. The royal family, already grappling with internal tensions, has been forced to address the latest scandal. Buckingham Palace has issued a terse statement acknowledging the situation but has declined to comment further, citing the private nature of the matter.

Meanwhile, the public’s reaction has been divided. Some express sympathy for Harry’s plight, while others side firmly with Charles Spencer. The incident has reignited debate over the role of the royal family in modern society and the extent to which they should be held accountable for their actions.

“This is a deeply troubling situation that speaks to larger issues within the royal family,” said royal commentator Olivia Way. “Harry’s actions have clearly alienated him from his own family, and now he’s facing the consequences of his choices. It’s a sad and complex situation that will likely have lasting repercussions.”

As the dust settles, the key question remains: Will Harry be able to mend the rift with his uncle and regain access to Althorp Estate, a place that holds profound meaning for him, or will this latest incident further drive a wedge between the Spencers and the Windsors, forever altering the course of their relationship?

Nearly 30 years since the world said a heartbreaking goodbye to Princess Diana, her former dance instructor, Anne Allan, has revealed the royal’s struggle with bulimia in her new book Dancing With Diana.

In an excerpt from the book published in People on Wednesday, September 4, Allan recalls how Diana confided in her about her battle with bulimia. “Her head dropped and, unable to look me in the eye, she said, ‘I am so ashamed, Anne, but I need to tell you that I suffer from bulimia,’” Allan wrote. “Her shame was evidently painful for her.”

According to Allan, Diana apologised profusely for not revealing her struggles sooner as she opened up about how the illness had been slowly consuming her life.

“Diana explained that her bulimia had started when she had started attending important functions, particularly dinners where she had to sit down to eat,” Allan remembered. “Meeting so many people was terrifying to her and the feeling that she was being judged with every move she made or how she looked or what she said caused her to feel totally inadequate,” reports the Express.

“Understanding the disease was the way forward, I told her, adding that finding ways not to judge herself would come in time,” Allan penned.

Diana first publicly acknowledged her fight with bulimia in 1992, during recordings for Andrew Morton’s explosive biography about her life.

The Princess had once revealed in a recording, “The bulimia started the week after we got engaged and would take nearly a decade to overcome. My husband put his hand on my waistline and said: ‘Oh, a bit chubby here, aren’t we? ‘ and that triggered off something in me -and the Camilla thing.”

It wasn’t until three years later that Diana would publicly acknowledge her struggle with an eating disorder during a candid 1995 interview on BBC’s Panorama.

“I had bulimia for a number of years. And that’s like a secret disease,” she shared. “You inflict it upon yourself because your self-esteem is at a low ebb, and you don’t think you’re worthy or valuable. You fill your stomach up four or five times a day-some do it more – and it gives you a feeling of comfort. It’s like having a pair of arms around you, but it’s temporarily, temporary. Then you’re disgusted at the bloatedness of your stomach, and then you bring it all up again.”

Throughout her prolonged fight with the devastating condition, Diana chose to keep the Royal family in the dark due to feelings of shame.

“You have to know that when you have bulimia you’re very ashamed of yourself and you hate yourself – and people think you’re wasting food – so you don’t discuss it with people,” Diana explained. “The thing about bulimia is your weight always stays the same, whereas with anorexia you visibly shrink. So you can pretend the whole way through. There’s no proof.”

Princess Diana tied the knot with Charles, who was then the Prince of Wales, in 1981. The couple had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, during their tumultuous marriage. However, a devastating scandal emerged when it was revealed that Charles, now the King, had an affair with his ex-lover and current wife, Queen Camilla.

Deeply hurt by the infidelity, Diana decided to part ways with Charles and they officially divorced in 1996. Tragically, just a year later, the Princess died in a car crash in Paris.

Both Prince William and Prince Harry reunited yesterday to attend the funeral of their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes – and a royal expert says one brother would have been more worried than the other about seeing each other

Their bitter feud has raged for years – but Prince William and Prince Harry have had a secret reunion.

Yesterday, they were both at a church in Norfolk for the funeral of their late uncle Lord Robert Fellowes. Harry flew from the US to join William at the service at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk, on Thursday. It is the first time they have attended the same event since their father King Charles’ Coronation last May – although on that day, they did not sit together and weren’t spotted speaking. And it appears it was much of the same yesterday, with the brothers making a discreet appearance, sitting apart at the back of the church.

A local resident told The Sun that the brothers kept their distance and did not speak to each other. The funeral comes just days before the anniversary of the death of William and Harry’s mother Princess Diana. It was 27 years ago tomorrow that she died at the age of 36 following a car crash in Paris. And royal biographer Ingrid Seward told the Mirror Harry’s attendance is exactly what his late mother would have done – and it would have been William more worried to see his younger brother.

She explained: “Diana would have certainly flown the 5,500 miles from California to Norfolk for a family funeral. Harry is close to Robert Fellowes’ widow Jane. She and sister Sarah come to all of Harry’s UK events and were at Archie’s christening. The thought of having to see his estranged brother would not have worried Harry as much as the other way around. I am certain they were civil to each other. A funeral is not the time to settle scores. Or indeed a time to make up as Harry is well aware.”

Meanwhile, Ingrid believes Diana would have been heartbroken at the fact her sons have a fractured relationship – and her wish for them before she died may have to wait a little longer given the fact they did not appear to talk at the service yesterday.

She added: “Twenty-seven years after that fatal crash in Paris in August 1997 we still think of Diana. So of course, do William and Harry. They both talk about her and Harry says he knows Diana would have been proud of him moving to California and leaving royal life behind. It is after all, what she wanted to do herself. But she didn’t, as she was afraid of losing access to her boys if she moved so far away.

“What she wouldn’t have liked is the deepening estrangement between the two brothers. William has reportedly let it be known he would not even contemplate Harry’s presence at his Coronation when the time comes.

“That is fighting talk. It illustrates how much Harry has hurt his brother by revealing their personal disagreements in his autobiography Spare. The book is due out in paperback at the end of October as a sad reminder of the accusations of who did what to whom.

“Diana always said she wanted her boys to be there for each other. She told them to promise her, ‘they would always be each other’s best friends. And never let anyone come between you’ At the time of her death, she had no reason to believe otherwise. But Diana’s most ardent wish will not be fulfilled – not yet anyway.”
