TV presenter and Loose Women star Sophie Morgan discussed the theft whilst speaking on a podcast, and shared that she would have to wait weeks for a replacement Blue Badge issued

Loose Women TV presenter Sophie Morgan has been left raging after her Blue Badge in her car was stolen.

The model and TV star told the BBC’s disability podcast Access All that her car was broken into whilst she was away working in America earlier this month.

Sophie, who appears regularly on ITV’s Loose Women, uses a wheelchair after sustaining injuries during a road traffic accident in 2003 at the age of 18. The blonde star is paralysed from the chest down.

Speaking on the podcast 38-year-old disability advocate and paraplegic Sophie revealed: “I literally can’t describe how disabling this is.”

She told podcast listeners: “I had this rage in me at the injustice, all the frustration, the inconvenience, all of those feelings.

“I can’t drive my car without my badge as I can’t get in or out [of the vehicle] without space to get my wheelchair beside my car.

“And without the guarantee of a disabled space, it’s not worth the risk.”

Blue Badges are issued by local councils and allow the holders to get free or longer parking as well as using disabled spaces.

The TV presenter explained that nothing else was taken from the car except the disability badge, when it was broken into as the perpetrators smashed the passenger side window. Sophie explained she would have to wait weeks for her car to be fixed and a replacement Blue Badge issued.

Last month, Sophie revealed she’s been in trauma therapy after writing a book about her life since her crash at 18.

She described writing her memoir Driving Forwards as hugely cathartic, which led her to begin a course of trauma therapy.

That accident was in 2003, when Sophie was just 18 and had picked up her A-level results from her boarding school, Gordonstoun, in Scotland.

Driving four friends home in her car, she veered off the road and ended up trapped beneath it, suffering severe injuries that left her paralysed from the chest down.

Sophie revealed: “I have post traumatic stress disorder from all the things that have happened to me.

“And as much as I have coped very well, there are a huge number of issues that I need to work through since my car crash.”

Ruth Langsford broke down in tears on Loose Women on Tuesday as she reflected on the heartbreaking moment she would have to say goodbye to her beloved dog, Maggie.

The Loose Women host was joined by panellists Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Frankie Bridge as they discussed pet bereavement.

Coronation Street’s powerful storyline involving Evelyn Plumber, played by Maureen Lipman, having to make the difficult decision to put down her canine companion Cerberus, inspired the Loose Women discussion.

As Ruth described the storyline, she paused and said: “I can’t bear it,” as Coleen added: “Oh god you’re actually going to cry. It’s not even your dog, it’s acting.”

“I know,” Ruth replied. “But you know I’m a massive Corrie fan.”

The Loose Women host interrupted herself as she began to cry before Coleen explained: “That’s because you’re thinking of Maggie.”

“Yes!” Ruth said. “I was watching it and Maureen Lipman has written today that the make up people in Corrie said to her, ‘Do you need a tear stick to help you cry for the scene?’ And she was like absolutely not because sadly she had to have her own dog, Diva put down.”

“I can’t see through the tears here,” Ruth quipped as she wiped her eyes before adding: “She said it brought it all back of having to make that awful decision.

“My little Maggie is about 13, she’s a bit grey,” the host said before Coleen stepped in.

The Nolans singer asked: “Shall we talk about something else?”

Coleen added: “I feel a bit bad talking about mine and not crying. Anyone who doesn’t have a dog, doesn’t get it they’re family.”

“I didn’t get it before I had Maggie,” Ruth admitted before saying she “can’t bear” thinking about losing her beloved canine companion.

Coleen, Janet and Frankie all spoke about how important their pet dogs and how tough losing an animal can be.

As the discussion came to a close, Coleen got up to hug Ruth who remarked: “Don’t you’ll make me worse!”

Ruth and her husband Eamonn Holmes adopted their dog 13 years ago from the charity Dogs Trust after the GB News presenter got involved with a charity open day.

Coleen Nolan opened up on Loose Women about her sister Linda Nolan’s cancer diagnosis as The Nolans singer revealed that her cancer has spread.

Linda told Good Morning Britain viewers on Monday that her cancer had spread to her brain after first being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2005 before getting the all-clear in 2006.

In 2017, she was diagnosed with a form of incurable secondary cancer in her hip, which later spread to her liver in 2020.

Coleen began by praising her sister’s strength and said: “It’s her strength and her will to live, she’s strong all the time and it makes the rest of us strong.”

“She’s had incurable cancer for some time but it’s been treatable,” Coleen noted before explaining her sister had been finding it increasingly difficult to walk.

The Nolans singer told host Ruth Langsford that her sister’s positivity gives her and the rest of the family strength.

“It rubs off on you, you hear her talk and she’s positive about it and it makes you stronger,” she continued.

“It’s so weird Ruth because this time since Monday I haven’t cried because I feel really numb,” the Loose Women panellist said.

“I’m so sick of it. It just attacks my family all the time and I’m afraid to cry because I don’t know whether I’ll be able to stop.”

Coleen paused before breaking down and adding: “So I’m going to cry now.”

The Loose Women panellist was consoled by her co-stars before composing herself and continuing on with the show.

On Good Morning Britain, Linda shared an update on her cancer diagnosis with fans after pictures emerged of the singer visiting a hospital in a wheelchair over the weekend.

“I just want to tell you unfortunately for me my cancer has spread to my brain that’s obviously frightening because there isn’t much treatment for brain cancer except for chemotherapy.”

Linda revealed that she had also been offered a new drug to trial alongside the chemotherapy.

She told Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley that she’s been told by doctors that the new drug has been “hailed as a wonder drug” and she hopes it will do “wonders for [her].”

TV legend Gloria Hunniford has told how she is now back at work following a health scare that involved being rushed to A&E by ambulance.

The Rip Off Britain star discovered she had kidney stones just before Christmas.

She had an operation to blast the stones and put a stent in, then a second one to remove it three weeks later.

But after the first op, when kidney stones were removed under general anaesthetic, she began to feel unwell.

She said of the second surgery: “The last thing they said before I went to theatre was: ‘When I take this stent out you are going to feel so much better.

“But the next thing I knew coming out of the anaesthetic, was a nurse saying to me, ‘Don’t worry, don’t panic but we are having to transfer you by ambulance to a different hospital because we can’t get your blood pressure up’.”

They sent Gloria, 82, from the hospital in Maidstone, Kent, to a nearby A&E.

She said: “It was like somebody had put a tap in my body and just drained all the energy.” Doctors later told her that she had sepsis of the kidney.

She added: “Thankfully it hadn’t gone beyond the kidney.

“I guess that’s why I felt so awful and it did flatten me for a while.”

Slowly but surely, Gloria regained her fitness. She mainly “rested and slept”, although she lost her appetite and had low energy.

She said: “Medical professionals said it could take up to six months to return to what one would deem normality after two anaesthetics so close together.”

But with a positive attitude, Gloria was back within weeks.

She said: “I set myself little tasks and my [husband] Stephen was marvellous. He was chief cook and bottle-washer and my whole wonderful family rallied round”.

Currently, Gloria says she has about “98%” of her energy levels back. The ordeal has only strengthened her resolve to be able to cope with whatever life throws at her.

“We all know that stuff will be thrown at you and it’s how you deal with things,” she says. Of her daughter who died aged 41 in 2004, she added: “In my case I lost Caron. Particularly then, I thought I’d never get out of that. But attitude and learning from other people got me through.”

In the meantime, Gloria is back as a Loose Women panellist and starring in BBC series B&B By the Sea in April. In May she is back with the popular Rip Off Britain.

Gloria said: “Everybody is worried about the cost of living so we have never been more relevant.

“We will definitely be going more heavy on energy and scams and horrendous housing conditions.”

Posting the sweet family photo, Stacey wrote: “Here We Go. Off on our very first adventure together… Rose & Belles first plane ride and ours as a family since before covid when Rex was a few months old.

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, doesn’t expect an invite to King Charles’ Coronation and already has other plans on how she’ll spend the day

The Duchess of York isn’t expecting an invite to King Charles’ Coronation next month.

King Charles will formally be recognised as monarch next month alongside his wife Queen Consort Camilla, with plans already underway for the global event. Invites are being sent out today for the 2000 guests that will be in attendance at the ceremony.

However, Sarah Ferguson – who shares daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice with Prince Andrew – has revealed she has other plans for the big day, and she isn’t sure she will be invited to attend the ceremony in person.

As the topic of the Coronation came up on Loose Women, the panellists assumed she’d be attending.

Asked about her plans by ITV’s Loose Women, she revealed she may not be invited because now she has split from Prince Andrew, she wouldn’t expect to necessarily be asked to come along and instead has other plans to mark the day.

She revealed she wanted to take the late Queen’s corgis with her to a nearby nursing home and planned to celebrate with them, putting bunting up and turning it into a big party for them all to mark the King’s Coronation.

Fergie also spoke of her support for the King and Queen Consort Camilla, who will be dropping the Consort part of her title when the Coronation takes place, something which Sarah is glad to see happen.

“I have known both the King and the Queen Consort since I was a child,” she told OK! magazine, “I think if you look at the King’s track record in areas like the environment, where he was decades ahead of his time, and the Prince’s Trust, it’s clear what an extraordinary man he is and how fortunate we are to have him on the throne.”

She added: “I also admire the way the Queen Consort has worked tirelessly in areas like literacy and domestic violence.”

Fergie now looks after the corgis full time following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

“I really love when I’m with them actually, I really think about HM and I just think about the value system she supported in this country and how the nation mourns her,” she said of the pets, “But yet how exciting we move on to a new monarch and the Coronation, and I think so important for the whole country to unite and uphold the value system that for 72 years the monarch gave us all.”

Coleen Nolan has been living with a TV competition winner for a year, who she calls her secret “daughter”.

The Loose Women star, 58, took in reality TV winner Orlagh Hartnett after she became estranged from her own mum.

Orlagh, 21, has just been crowned the winner of E4’s Fred’s Last Resort and moved into the Nolan’s Cheshire home last year.

She revealed how the television personality calls her a “daughter”.

The pizza waitress joked to the Sun : “Honestly, my birthday card is Orlagh, the daughter I never wanted!”

Orlagh bagged the £10,000 prize money after she won the show hosted by First Date’s Fred Sirieix.

The series saw 12 young people compete for a top hospitality contract during the summer season at a five star hotel on the French Riviera.

During her appearance on the show, Orlagh kept her friendship with Coleen under wraps and fellow contestants had no idea of the connection until they visited Orlagh at home.

Orlagh said: “I didn’t tell anyone on the show who she was, or who I lived with. When the recruits came round to my house afterwards I was like ‘this is Coleen and I live with her.”

The winner first met Coleen when she was just 7-years-old and spent time at her home growing up.

Orlagh left home at 16 and contact dwindled with her own mum, yet she has admitted Coleen stepped in to offer her guidance.

She added: “As awful and upsetting the situation is I have to pick myself up everyday and get on with life and go get what I want.

“The support that Coleen’s given me has been…honestly, I don’t know what I do without her.”

Sharing her thoughts on Alex’s revelation during Friday’s edition of Loose Women, Nadia couldn’t get over how shocking she found the anecdote from The One Show presenter.

“If it’s true, because he hasn’t confirmed or denied. I can’t think of anything more shocking,” she declared as the panel discussed if you should ever put your career before a relationship.

“That’s more shocking to me than coming home to finding him in bed with someone else. That’s so underhand. To steal from your…”

Kaye Adams chimed in to add: “It’s a cut throat business.”

Nadia continued: “That would be the end for me. It’s not necessarily about Angelina Jolie or anything but to lie to get your partner’s job, if he did, it is shocking.”

Anchor Kaye moved the discussion on, musing: “I suppose it’s unusual to be in direct competition in their job but there will be times for most people where you have to favour one person’s job or the other, how do you make that balance?”

Jane Moore added: “For me when they talk about trust in relationships is a much wider thing. Are you sure they have your back? Are you a unit? Are you making decisions together?”

In an upcoming episode of the podcast, she tells the duo: “Normally [Rise] would call in the morning and ask to come and do an interview or junket.

“I was staying in his [Steve’s] flat at the time when I was working in London and he picked up the landline and said ‘Al’s not here. She’s not feeling well, she’s had to go back to Cardiff’ – I was in Topshop.”

“So he did the interview,” Alex claims in the podcast preview obtained by MailOnline.

Shortly after Steve interviewed Angelina, he went on to land one of his biggest gigs at the time as a presenter on iconic hangover TV show, T4.

But when Rise producers discovered what Steve had done, they decided to have a bit of fun with it.

Alex previously told the Thanks A Million with Angela Scanlon podcast that Steve’s betrayal was the real reason they broke up.

In the end I thought, right I’m going to drive back to Cardiff because I don’t know where you are, you’ve probably gone to the pub.

“Then the production company called and they were like, ‘We’ve got a bit of a situation.

“Tomorrow morning your boyfriend is going to the premiere with Angelina Jolie and it would be really funny if you came on the line, live on the show and surprise him and say you know exactly what he’s been up to.

Judi Love has hit out at claims the Loose Women panellists are caught up in a “feud” as she insisted they are all “absolutely lovely”.

The 42-year-old TV star was forced to speak out following reports of infighting between the ITV hosts.

Judi said the panellists were like a “sisterhood” as she opened up about who her “real” friends are.

During an appearance on Saturday Kitchen, the comedian was asked by host Matt Tebutt for the truth about the rumours. She replied: “What do you want? The juice.”

Judi then added: “No no, we’re absolutely lovely. Look I’m working with 20 women who all have expertise in different areas – journalism, news reporting, and acting. They are forces to be reckoned with.”

She continued: “I find that anything I need advice in, anything – I’m talking buying houses, all kind of different stuff – I can just go to any one of them and they’ve got some understanding and can educate me on things.”

When asked which of the panellists she would consider her friends, Judi named Charlene White, Brenda Edwards, Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha.

“I think it’s great. They’ve added to it, and now they’ve got a comedian in the pool, I love it, what better job than to go in, have a chit-chat with the girls, and get your make-up on,” Judie said.

Judi isn’t the first Loose Women panellist to comment on the feud rumours.

Back in February, Nadia slammed the claims and admitted she actually has an “intense” relationship with her co-stars.

The 58-year-old TV host said they all get on “so, so well” behind the scenes, but agreed things can seem “a bit heated” when they’re on the daytime show.

“There is no feud – I think it’s that thing where people always expect women must be arguing, we honestly get on so well,” she said.
