Royal expert lifts lid on whether Prince William really fired Queen Camilla’s sister

One royal expert has spoken out about Queen Camilla’s sister being erased from the royal payroll – but did Prince William really fire her?

Queen Camilla’s interior designer sister Annabel Elliot has been removed from the royal payroll, with one expert lifting the lid on whether Prince William was behind the decision – and had fired the 75-year-old.

The Prince of Wales inherited the Duchy of Cornwall estate, which is worth over £1 billion, when his father assumed the throne in September 2022.

However, the recently published annual accounts revealed that William had made the decision to take his stepmother’s sister out of the payroll – which she had been granted for two decades for her interior design services to the Royal Family.

Annabel was first hired by the now King-Charles to act as the chief designer of his estates after tying the knot with Camilla in 2005.

Speaking of the decision to remove Camilla’s sister from the payroll, royal experts Emmy Griffiths and Emily Nash discussed whether William had been the one to “fire” her on the latest episode of A Right Royal Podcast.

Asked whether William has fired her, Emmy replied: “He hasn’t fired the Queen’s sister. Annabel Elliot is the Queen’s sister, her younger sister and she is well-established in interiors designer.

“She was working across properties owned by the Dutch of Cornwall but since Prince William has taken over as Duke of Cornwall, he has taken her off the payroll.

“So that’s caused a few ripples in a few headlines… But I don’t think there’s anything untoward about it.”

Emmy added: “She obviously has worked, depending on what the King and Queen have asked her to do, but Prince William’s coming at it fresh, he might have different plans.”

“The understanding is that people working on the estate already understand now how things should look, they’ve learnt a great deal from her.”

She also discussed that Annabel still works for the King andd Queen – privately.

Emmy added: “She is actually still working for the King and Queen privately, on their private estates, up at Balmoral and Sandringham, so it’s not really a firing but that little nigget did come out of the Duchy of Cornwall report that we discussed last time.”

Despite Princess Anne’s daughter and son-in-law not holding any official royal titles and not receiving any financial help from the Crown, the duo are believed to be worth a staggering £30million as reported in Hello! Magazine.

Through a combination of sporting accolades, endorsement deals, and TV appearances, Mike, 45, and Zara, 43, have various streams of steady income – from brands such as Domino’s Pizza to Rolex.

Like her mother, Zara is an equestrian star and competed in the London Olympics in 2012, obtaining a silver medal. Over the years, she has obtained several endorsement deals with high-end brands such as Land Rover, Rolex and outdoor clothing company, Musto.

Zara Tindall previously said she is “lucky” to not have an official title as she spoke candidly in a podcast about her family. She was interviewed by former rugby player Rob Burrow on his Total Sport podcast and said: “From my point of view, I was obviously very lucky that my mother didn’t give us any titles so I really commend her on that.”

In 2015, Zara launched a line of jewellery, named the Zara Phillips Collection, in collaboration with Australian designer John Calleija, with prices reaching over £35,000.

Former England rugby player, Mike, has also been cashing in over the past few years, also reportedly earning £300,000 for starring in an advert for pizza takeaway giant Domino’s in 2022, reports the Sun.

Like many celebrities, Mike has dabbled in the world of reality TV and bravely took part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ where he landed himself in the final. The World Cup winner reportedly entered the jungle for a huge £265,000 payout.

Stepping away from sport and adventure, the former rugby star also has a company Kimble Trading as reported in Hello! Magazine, of which he is the director. The business operates as a professional services automation provider.

In 2020, Mike joined forces with James Haskell and Alex Payne to launch the podcast, ‘The Good, The Bad and The Rugby’. The trio partnered with fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger for one of their social media videos.

The royal duo are also often seen at royal events helping out with their close family. Mike and Zara Tindall were on hand supporting Prince William as he hosted the second Buckingham Palace Garden Party this summer on behalf of King Charles.

Around 8,000 people were invited including William’s cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. Prince William invited his cousins to help with hosting duties for afternoon festivities despite the pouring rain, while Princess Kate continued to stay out of the public eye while undergoing cancer treatment.

Zara and Mike share three young children, their first daughter, Mia, was born in 2014, followed by their second daughter, Lena, in 2018 and their son, Lucas, in 2021.

It is thought that King Charles is so determined to have Mike, Zara and their three children join the family at Balmoral over the summer that he’s considering moving a church service forward a week to accommodate the Tindalls.

King Charles ‘orders updates on UK’s riots’ as country braces for night of chaos

Dozens of far-right protests are feared to be brewing across the country tonight, as police brace for yet another possible evening of disruption and violence.

King Charles has asked to be provided with daily updates on the protests planned around the UK, it has been claimed.

The monarch is said to be engaging privately in the issues generated by the violent disruption that has taken hold of the UK in recent days, Sky News understands.

One of the key issues King Charles, as the Prince of Wales, has dedicated his life to is community cohesion.

The Prince’s Trust, which helps young Britons get the skills and training they need to find jobs or start their own business, was set up around the time riots were raging around the country in the midst of an unemployment crisis.

Accused of meddling in politically charged issues, the King previously said, before acceding to the throne: “If it’s meddling to worry about the inner cities as I did 40 years ago, then if that’s meddling I’m proud of it.”

UK Braces For More Unrest As Lists Of Anti-Immigrant Protests - And Counterprotests - Circulate Online

Many offices and shops have been boarded up amid fears of more violence tonight (Image: GETTY)

King Charles’s reported interest in the protests comes as some 6,000 specialist officers are braced to respond to any violence that may erupt tonight.

Police are aware of at least 100 far-right protests and 30 counter events planned across the UK.

Following a week of violence and destruction, traders in places including Brighton, Westcliff in Essex, Finchley in north London, Northampton and Walthamstow in east London have boarded up their shops to protect them from any ill-intended protester.

Among the targets of the riots that have exploded since last Tuesday have been hotels temporarily hosting asylum seekers as well as police vehicles.

Immigration lawyers and their firms are feared to be under the threat of a new wave of violence, but Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley warned  the force had planned to protect them, adding: “We will not let the immigration asylum system be intimidated.”

Violence first erupted on July 30, the day after three children were killed in Southport. The anti-immigration sentiment is believed to have been stoked by false information about the suspect that started circulating online in the hours after the harrowing stabbing.

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mopelli Mozzi are on a “similar page” to two other royals that live overseas, an expert has claimed.

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mopelli Mozzi are on a “similar page” to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s personality types, a body language expert has claimed.

This comes as Princess Beatrice is appearing more confident and has grown as a member of the Royal Family over the years.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, body language expert, Darren Stanton, has gone into detail on Beatrice’s “confidence growth” with the help of her husband, explaining it is similar to actions portrayed by the Montecito-based duo.

Darren explained: “Edoardo is more submissive than Beatrice. Beatrice and Edo seem to be on a similar page as Meghan and Harry. Meghan’s a very strong personality, but like Harry, Edo is happier to let Beatrice take the limelight and be centre stage.”

Speaking about Princess Beatrice’s growth he added: “He [Edoardo] would prefer to slot into the supporting role as he wants her to flourish. This is reminiscent of Prince Philip, as he did the same with the late Queen Elizabeth.”

The body language expert also commented on Prince Harry and Meghan’s recent interview with American channel, CBS, on August 4, which demonstrated Harry taking a “backseat” in the interview, similar to Edoardo.

He explained: “He ‘[Prince Harry] seemed content with taking a backseat while Meghan led the charge during their joint appearance, appreciating the support of having his wife by his side as her presence visibly calmed his nerves.”

Princess Beatrice’s confidence levels have also “progressed” over time, explains the expert. He reveals: “When we see Beatrice appear at bigger events, it’s rare – but she may have a slight lapse of self-belief. It isn’t often, but at times, we will see her nerves creeping in. This is shown through playing with her hair or looking down at the floor.”

He added: “But her levels of confidence and inner strength have slowly progressed. She has what it takes to take on Royal engagements alone because she feels strong as an independent individual.”

Following the cancer diagnoses of both King Charles and Princess Kate, Princess Beatrice has been seen “stepping up” to royal engagements and supporting her cousin Prince William.

Alongside her sister, Princess Eugenie, the two sisters supported Prince William as he hosted the second Buckingham Palace Garden Party of the summer.
He hosted the party on behalf of the King and invited other young members of the Firm to accompany him, including Peter Phillips and Zara and Mike Tindall. The first party, traditionally referred to as the Sovereign’s Garden Party, was hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla on Wednesday May 8.

Darren explains over time, Beatrice has displayed confidence by displaying certain postures and opening body language gestures. He said: “The main giveaway of someone’s confidence is their posture. Beatrice’s posture is often upright and she often matches and mirrors other people’s gestures, which tells us she has the strength to command control in the situation.

“A lot of the time, Beatrice she will place her hands on her hips with her feet spread apart, which are both power gestures and a way to assert dominance.”

What Queen Camilla really thought about King Charles revealing his cancer diagnosis

King Charles disclosed his cancer diagnosis in February, following his treatment for a benign prostate condition.

A new royal biography states Queen Camilla was initially against King Charles’s decision to disclose his cancer diagnosis to the public but was “overruled”.

The monarch, 75, talked about his health openly when he announced he was undergoing treatment for a benign prostate condition in January of this year at The London Clinic.

Then, in February, it was announced he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer, which was discovered during the procedure.

Buckingham Palace revealed at the time: “No further details are being shared at this stage, except to confirm that His Majesty does not have prostate cancer.”

In the new book titled ‘Catherine, the Princess of Wales’ by Robert Jobson, the author writes: “Queen Camilla had initially been against disclosing his condition, but the King overruled her as he felt it was a chance to take a lead and in doing so to encourage men experiencing similar symptoms to seek timely medical attention.”

However, the reason behind Camilla disagreeing with Charles’s decision has not been disclosed in the book. Following the King’s announcement, there was a “significant increase in searches” related to “enlarged prostate” on the National Health Service website.

Jobson wrote: “The NHS England page on benign prostate enlargement had more than 26,000 visits in the 48 hours after the announcement, compared to a daily average of just 1,400.”

Analysis by NHS England, which runs the NHS website, found visits to the prostate enlargement page jumped to one visit every five seconds the week the news of the King’s health condition was released.

The national clinical director for NHS England at the time said: “Benign prostate enlargement is common in men over the age of 50 and you would expect around 70-80% over the age of 75 to have an enlarged prostate.”

“Many men worry that having an enlarged prostate means they have an increased risk of developing prostate cancer but this isn’t the case. Help is available and there are a number of tests that can be done to rule out cancer.”

The royal author also claims Charles wanted to avoid the “fake news” which often circulated whenever the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip received medical attention.

Speaking about the King’s decision, Robert added: “He was lauded for doing so, with commentators saying he had ushered in a new era of transparency in matters of health and the Royal Family.”

It has been a tumultuous year for the Royal Family, as the Princess of Wales also revealed in an emotional video in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.

Princess Kate, however, has since made two official royal appearances this year, including Trooping the Colour, the King’s official birthday parade, and the Wimbledon Men’s Final, as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Duchess Sophie became victim to the fashion police after she visited the La Galerie Dior in Paris after attending the Olympic Games.

The Duchess of Edinburgh wore a Floral-Print Chiffon Midi Dress by Victoria Beckham with a V-shaped neckline but it wasn’t the dress that offended.

The 59-year-old paired the flattering waist-accentuating dress with Penelope Chilvers heeled wedges.

The royal, married to Prince Edward, completed the look with a pair of gold drop earrings by Giulia Barela.

But people couldn’t get over the wedges. Instagram account Royal Fashion Police shared an image of the Duchess’s looks, with users expressing their contempt.

One person said the look was “painfully basic” while another wrote: “hoping some style rubs off”, and “these shoes make no sense at all and they are too white”.

Others were more measured, with one person saying: “The dress is beautiful, Sophie looks lovely. But she has ruined the whole look with those shoes. Totally inappropriate. Fine for popping to the shops but not for this occasion”.

Meanwhile, another said: “The dress is so pretty and Sophie is representing classic British style. The look, paired with sporty footwear, is a bit casual for a private tour by Dior officials. Bet she thoroughly enjoyed it though!”.

Not everyone hated the look, with one fan writing: “The dress is beautiful and really suits the Duchess of Edinburgh. Maybe a more stylish shoe. However I’m sure she was super comfortable and let’s face it, as we get older comfort is what counts.”

But clearly, the Duchess paid no mind to the critics as she rewore the controversial shoes when she posed for a photo with Menna Rawlings, HM Ambassador to France and Monaco, at the grand entryway of L’hôtel De Charost.

Meghan Markle is said to have been left reeling after Chrissy Teigen’s “awkward online history” undercuts her latest interview for CBS.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were recently interviewed to discuss cyberbullying and how to protect children from online abuse, with a sit-down chat airing last Sunday – Meghan’s 43rd birthday – on CBS.

However, as reported by the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, Meghan could likely have been left red-faced after her friend’s past of sending a string of abusive messages to teenagers online.

The messages, which were not revealed until years later, included hurtful comments such as, “I can’t wait for you to die” and “I hate you”.

After the messages became public, Ms Teigan – who is married to singer John Legend – was later forced to apologise to the youngsters.

Discussing the incident, Mr Eden wrote in the latest Palace Confidential column: “[Chrissy] didn’t apologise until a decade later, after the messages had been made public, resulting in numerous brands, including Bloomingdale’s luxury department store chain, dropping her.

“Apparently, this wasn’t a big issue for Meghan, who sent Teigan a jar of her American Riviera Orchard jam earlier this year.”

Following the launch of Meghan’s brand, the mother of two sent a jar of the jam to 50 frends and influencers – including Chrissy, fashion designer Tracy Robbins and socialite Delfina Blaquier.

Taking to social media back in April, Chrissy shared how she devoured the jam – opting to pair it with rustic bread, triple cream brie and thick-cut bacon.

In the emotional interview, Meghan shared her own experience of having suicidal thoughts during her time as a senior working royal.

The mother of two told host Jane Pauley: “When you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey – certainly part of mine – is being able to be really open about it.

“I really scraped the surface on my experience, but I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way and I would never want someone else to be making those sort of plans and I would never want someone else to not be believed.”

She added: “If me voicing what I have overcome will save someone or encourage someone in their life to really, genuinely check in on them and not assume that the appearance is good so everything is okay, then that’s worth it. I’ll take a hit for that.”

Princess Beatrice borrowed one of the late Queen’s dresses for her wedding, but the monarch also lent her something rather special.

She may have been the longest-reigning monarch to us but to Princess Beatrice, the late Queen was a grandmother.

And as one might expect during a wedding, the grandmother came through with tradition, giving the princess ‘something borrowed’.

Princess Beatrice had planned to wear a custom dress for her wedding but considering it was during lockdown in 2020, the royal had to make last-minute changes due to designer issues.

Beatrice asked the Queen if she could borrow an original Norman Hartnell evening dress for the occasion and she obliged.

Showing just how close the grandmother-granddaughter duo were, the Queen also let Beatrice borrow another special item – the Fringe Tiara – which she inherited from her grandmother, Queen Mary, after she died in 1953.

    Princess Beatrice's wedding day

Princess Beatrice followed royal tradition as two other brides have worn the Fringe Tiara on their wedding day, including the Queen and Princess Anne.

The jewel comes with a hefty price tag too, coming in at an estimated £4m.

Daena Borrowman, Marketing Manager at jewellery box, told Express.co.uk: “Created on the commission of the Queen’s grandmother, Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara, which doubles up as a necklace, is now worth more than £4 million.

“It consists of diamonds set in gold and silver fashioned into 47 graduated rose-set tapering bars, separated by 46 narrow spikes.

“The diamonds in the tiara were originally part of a necklace that Queen Victoria gifted to Queen Mary on the occasion of her wedding.

Princess Beatrice on her wedding day

“The then-Princess Elizabeth wore it on her wedding day when it snapped as she was getting ready and it had to be rushed to Garrard’s to be fixed.”

While the Fringe Tiara is one of the most expensive jewels worn by royal brides, another one, worn by a different granddaughter comes with an even more expensive price tag.

Princess Beatrice’s younger sister Eugenie actually wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara when she married Jack Brooksbank in 2018.

Miss Borrowman added: “A tiara as iconic as this one could be worth anything in the range of £5 million and £10 million.”

“The rose-cut pave diamond and emerald tiara is set in platinum, adorned by six small emeralds and one large central cabochon emerald of around 93.7 carats.”

The Princess of Wales is expected to make her “longest journey” yet since announcing she had been diagnosed with cancer, as the future Queen is set to join the rest of the royals in Scotland.

Princess Kate has not travelled a lot this year, unless necessary, as she undergoes preventative chemotherapy for an unspecified type of cancer.

Now royal sources told the Mail that Kate will likely join her husband, Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they head to Balmoral Castle with the rest of the Firm for their annual summer break.

The Royal Family traditionally travel to the Scottish Highlands every summer to relax in the peaceful countryside.

Kate has largely kept away from the public gaze this year, making only two appearances, one in June for Trooping the Colour and a second one in July for the Wimbledon finals.

Both events took place in London, which is roughly an hour’s drive from Windsor, where she lives with her family.

Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, on the other hand, is 510 miles away from Adelaide Cottage which could take around nine hours to travel.

The latest news can be seen as the princess making “good progress” with her cancer treatment, the report stressed.

Back in March, the future Queen broke the nation’s heart when she bravely announced in an emotional video message that she had been diagnosed with cancer, following a major abdominal surgery in January.

In her latest update regarding her health, the night before the Trooping the Colour ceremony, Kate revealed her innermost thoughts and said she’s “not out of the woods yet”.

The Princess of Wales opened up about how she has “good days and bad days” and said her treatment will be ongoing for a few more months.

She said: “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.

“I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal.”

PAY ALL YOUR BILLS, CHEATERS! Tre Lune Restaurant Owner Accuses Meghan of Using Harry’s Prince Title to Delay Her $2,000 Food Bill

PAY ALL YOUR BILLS, CHEATERS! Tre Lune Restaurant Owner Accuses Meghan of Using Harry’s Prince Title to Delay Her $2,000 Food Bill

Meghan Markle Faces Backlash Over Unpaid Restaurant Bill and Alleged Abusive Behavior

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, recently found herself at the center of controversy after an incident at Tre Luna, an upscale restaurant, where she allegedly mistreated staff and left without paying a $2,000 bill. The restaurant’s owner publicly called her out for her behavior, leading to a permanent ban and reigniting discussions about her public image and past incidents of perceived entitlement.

The incident unfolded during what was supposed to be a celebratory birthday dinner for Meghan. However, according to witnesses and staff, her behavior quickly turned the event into a chaotic and uncomfortable affair. Meghan reportedly micromanaged the staff, made unreasonable demands, and displayed an attitude starkly different from her usual public persona. Her actions surprised both the restaurant employees and her friends who were present.

As the dinner progressed, tensions escalated, culminating in a heated confrontation over the bill. Meghan accused the restaurant of attempting to overcharge her, leading to a dispute that ended with her leaving without settling the bill. The restaurant’s management, citing their zero-tolerance policy for abusive behavior, decided to ban Meghan from the establishment permanently.

Witnesses described the scene as bizarre, noting the stark contrast between the intended festive atmosphere and Meghan’s outbursts. Her emotional distress was evident, creating an uncomfortable environment for everyone involved. The fallout from the incident was immediate, with the restaurant issuing a statement emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment for their staff.

The owner of Tre Luna expressed shock and disappointment over Meghan’s behavior, stating that no customer, regardless of their status, should treat staff abusively or refuse to pay their bill. The decision to ban Meghan has sparked widespread local reactions, with many expressing support for the restaurant’s stance on maintaining decorum and respect.

This incident has further fueled the ongoing debate about Meghan’s public image. Some defend her actions, suggesting she may have been under significant stress, while others point to a pattern of entitlement and unreasonable demands. This latest controversy could potentially strain her already tenuous relationship with the British royal family, as public perception continues to shift.

Meghan’s reputation, already marred by various public and media skirmishes, has taken another hit. The narrative of entitlement and mistreatment of staff does little to help her efforts to maintain a positive public image. As discussions about her behavior and the incident at Tre Luna continue, it remains to be seen how this will impact her and Prince Harry’s standing both in the UK and internationally.

In conclusion, the Tre Luna incident has cast a shadow over Meghan Markle’s birthday celebrations, highlighting troubling aspects of her behavior and reigniting public discourse about her character. The fallout serves as a reminder of the challenges public figures face in maintaining their image and the scrutiny they are under, especially when their actions do not align with their public personas.
