When Princess Beatrice was just nine years old, she was given an expensive and lavish gift by her doting grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

Princess Beatrice was once gifted an iconic Grade II listed home in Surrey by the late Queen Elizabeth II, but the Princess was not able to live there.

The beautiful property named Birch Hall was given as a present from the late Queen to both Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie.

The Surrey-based home was a pad many would dream of and included seven bedrooms, five acres of land, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and even a tennis court.

The late Queen instructed that the home be bought by trustees on behalf of the Queen, but Fergie ended up declining the offer, as she was reportedly concerned about running costs.

Instead, the family continued to live together at Sunninghill Park and then Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew moved to Royal Lodge in Windsor where they both currently reside.

After the rejection of Birch Hall, it was sold in 1999 and estate agents said it was “due to a change of circumstance” as reported by the Sun. It is thought the money from the sale was placed in a trust for Eugenie and Beatrice to use when they were older.

In 2016, Birch Hall was listed on the market for £4.2million, after being renovated with even more jaw-dropping features than it originally had. Its latest owners added a media and games room, an orangery, and a home gym.

Andrew Russell from estate agency Strutt and Parker told the Daily Mail: “The owners bought it from the trustees acting for the Queen in 1999. The trustees bought it in 1997 for the princesses and I imagine it was chosen because it’s a pretty house in a popular village and the gardens are a real draw, it’s more like parkland. But they never moved in.”

Since getting married in 2020, Princess Beatrice, who turns 36 today, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 40, have lived in a four-bed apartment in St James’s Palace, with two-year-old daughter Sienna and Edoardo’s son, Wolfie.

The duo purchased a sprawling farmhouse in the Cotswolds for a reported £3.5m, two years ago, which they have been renovating.

When Birch Hall went up for sale in 2016, the estate agent also explained how it was the “best of north Surrey’s village houses”. He added: “There’s not that many that come on the market. It’s a proper country house with five acres of grounds.

“The house itself is a very attractive and imposing-looking property. Some of the rooms are really quite dramatic, with high ceilings and full floor-to-ceiling sash windows.”

“It’s got a swimming pool, tennis court and beautiful specimen trees dating from Victorian times in the garden.”

He also explained how its owners had renovated: “They reconfigured the staircase and updated the house throughout, moving the kitchen so it overlooks the garden and swimming pool.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are understood to be dead set on making amends with King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family, and the reason may have something to do with the 2024 US elections.

The Duke of Sussex’s attempts to reach out to his father, who continues to undergo treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, and public comments to the press about his love for his family, firmly suggest this.

“It seems quite clear that they are desperate to start healing the rift,” an ex-employee told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden.

In an op-ed for the paper, he appears to suggest that his motive may be due to the ongoing threats from Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump and his family.

It comes after Trump’s son, Eric, called the Duke and Duchess “spoiled apples” and reiterated his father’s claims that Harry could be deported if the Republicans win in November.

“You can happily have those two,” Eric said. “We might not want them any more; it feels like they’re on an island of their own.”

He added: “You can always have bad actors in everything. You can have spoiled apples in every orchard.

“The institution of the Royal Family is beautiful and is admired by many Americans. That should be protected.”

Earlier this year, the former US president hinted that he could deport Prince Harry should he return to the White House.

Donald Trump said that Harry could be deported from the US if he lied about taking drugs on his American visa application, as a court case on the matter continues to rumble on.

The Republican nominee said the Duke would not receive any special treatment because of his royal background.

Harry’s visa status has come under intense scrutiny after American conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation, last year sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for access to his immigration records.

They want to know whether Harry declared whether he has ever used recreational drugs on the form – following his admissions in his memoir, Spare, where he detailed extensive use of cocaine, marijuana and magic mushrooms.

The US Government has so far refused to release his records.

Harry has sought to make amends with his father this year, following his shock cancer diagnosis was made public. Just hours after Buckingham Palace announced the news, Harry rushed over to the UK to see his father. The pair met for a brief chat which was said to be a positive step towards fixing their relationship.

Not long afterwards, the Duke of Sussex said in a TV interview: “Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

He also publicly declared that he loved his family.

It comes after People magazine reported that the King is refusing to take calls from his youngest son.

“He gets ‘unavailable right now,’” a friend of Harry’s told the publication. “His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the King’s health, but those calls go unanswered too.”

Sussexes Out: King Charles Officially Eliminates Prince Harry, Archie, and Lili from Royalty

King Charles has made a dramatic decision, officially removing Prince Harry and his family from their roles as working royals.  After years …

King Charles has made a dramatic decision, officially removing Prince Harry and his family from their roles as working royals.  After years of controversy stemming from Harry and Meghan’s rebellious behavior, divisive media statements, and ongoing criticisms of the institution, Charles has had enough. The final straw seems to be the upcoming biography Harry is set to release early next year, which promises to expose even more private family details for personal gain.

Sources reveal that this move is a carefully considered and unilateral decision by King Charles. The King felt it was crucial to set clear boundaries and protect the monarchy from further damage caused by Harry and Meghan’s repeated oversteps.

The announcement has sent shockwaves through royal circles. Many aides and former palace staff have expressed support for this decisive action, seeing it as long overdue. Under this new ruling, Harry and Meghan will no longer hold any royal titles or patronages. Their roles and responsibilities within the royal family are being terminated immediately.

Perhaps most controversially, Charles has decreed that their children, Archie and Lilibet, will no longer have any official titles or royal status. They are now to be considered private citizens. The Sussexes will also lose all public funding and taxpayer-funded security.

This unprecedented exile not only removes all royal designations but also means Harry and Meghan will no longer be expected to attend key royal events like Christmas or Trooping the Colour. This move reinforces the boundary between celebrity and royalty, signaling that there will be no more hybrid roles.

The news of this royal shakeup has resonated across Britain and the globe. According to the BBC, this is one of the most significant changes to the modern monarchy, with royal commentators calling it the harshest action taken by the family. Many believe Charles has solidified his authority as head of the monarchy, even at the cost of his relationship with Harry.

Those close to King Charles have stated that he felt compelled to act given the series of events since “Megxit.” Despite his love for his son, Charles believed his constitutional duty to protect the monarchy and ensure its future outweighed personal concerns. They noted that Charles had repeatedly warned Harry to cease his disruptive media campaigns, but his pleas were ignored. The decision to revoke titles was made out of necessity, not spite, to establish clear boundaries and consequences for unacceptable behavior.

The Sussexes are reportedly humiliated by this public power move. Sources say Harry feels abandoned by his father, while Meghan is preparing for a fight, alleging persecution from the royals. A friend revealed that Meghan is actively working with her PR team to counter this latest development, suggesting that they may frame it as another example of racism and mistreatment.

While some in the Commonwealth support Charles’s bold action, others caution that it could damage future relations with Harry. International relations experts warn that tensions could rise if further PR attacks follow.

As King Charles navigates the fallout at Balmoral Castle, aides brace for possible retaliatory measures from California. Palace staff have been sworn to secrecy about any additional steps that might be taken. This dramatic move has set the stage for what promises to be a turbulent period ahead.

Loose Women star turns down Dancing on Ice 2025 as she issues strong three-word statement

Linda Robson has been given a new lease of life following her battle with alcoholism and depression – but has revealed she won’t be signing up for the next series of Dancing on Ice

Linda Robson has turned down a lucrative offer to join Dancing on Ice, despite recently revealing her rejuvenated zest for life following personal battles with alcoholism and severe depression. She even gave a three word statement.

The 66 year old Loose Women star, who has been candid about her struggles throughout her extensive career in acting and presenting, was tempted by a big-money deal to skate onto the show’s 2025 series. However, Linda’s children were firmly against the idea, with the Daily Star reporting her as saying: “I’ve just been asked to do Dancing on Ice, but I said no. My kids wouldn’t let me do it.”

She added: “They said, ‘No mum, you’re 66, you can’t do it’.” Reflecting on her decision, Linda expressed relief at heeding her children’s advice, fearing injury on the ice: “They’re right to say I shouldn’t do it. I can’t dance and I can’t ice skate either.”

She continued: “I would end up breaking my leg,” before adding a three-word statement of: “Skating is dangerous!” Despite acknowledging her own limitations, she noted Joe Swash’s victory on the show despite his initial lack of grace: “Joe Swash won it even though he’s got two left feet, but he did improve and the public love him.”

Robson isn’t a stranger to reality TV, having appeared on Celebs on the Farm and Celebrity Coach Trip. Embracing new challenges, she remarked: “Now I’m 66 I’ve been trying things I’ve never done before.”

She emphasised her openness to new experiences: “I’m trying not to turn something down because it’s different.” Her adventurous spirit marks a significant turnaround from the time she struggled with depression, recalling a particularly emotional moment during the recording of her autobiography’s audiobook when discussing her suicide watch experience brought her to tears.

Linda revealed: “The depression and the suicide watch I was on was really hard, especially when I recorded the audio. I had to stop because I was crying my eyes out. They told me to go and sit down and have a nice cup of tea and then come back afterwards and I did.”

She’s triumphantly shaken off her dark days and is celebrating four years of sobriety, though she faced a tough battle with depression in 2018 that led to a breakdown and rehab stint.

This comes after it was reported that ITV are said to be fearful amid the current Strictly Come Dancing scandals, with them concerned over receiving similar complaints coming their way after Michael Barrymore claimed Dancing on Ice has the “same abusive behaviour” as Strictly. The 72-year-old appeared on the ITV show in 2020, with him now claiming he witnessed “abuse”, with him wondering why DOI has not come “under fire” like Strictly.

Ruth Langsford has let her hair down on a boozy night out with friends as they enjoyed cocktails and a meal in a Greek restaurant

Ruth Langsford has let her hair down and enjoyed a boozy night of laughter, cocktails and Greek food as she put her recent worries behind her with some quality time with friends.

The 64-year-old Loose Women presenter shared snaps from her Friday night out on her Instagram Stories, as she documented her time with friends Rachael Eleri and Liv Davey. Ruth has had a difficult few months as her marriage to Eamonn Holmes broke down but the TV presenter looked on top form in the photos as she celebrated drinking cocktails and posed with her pals.

The trio had spent time at Greek Mediterranean restaurant Gaia, in Mayfair, London, who Ruth tagged in the pics, and they looked like they were having a lot of fun as they posed for a photo while wearing black sunglasses with Ruth making a peace sign as she wore a glamorous white shirt and black trousers.

Another photo on Ruth’s Instagram Stories shows the three of them posing for a full-length mirror selfie before a snap of cocktail glasses showed that the night out had taken a boozy turn, with Ruth admitting in a caption: “Yes… cocktails were drunk!”

The big night out comes after Ruth made a triumphant return to ITV’s Loose Women after taking an extended break following the ending of her marriage in May. While she didn’t speak about her split from Eamonn, Ruth admitted that she “won’t do it again” when it came to whether she would take another similar break.

Back in March, a joint statement from both Eamonn and Ruth was released, which read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.” Eamonn has been suffering with health issues for some time and by her own admission, it was a testing time for them both. Ruth’s admission came before the announcement of their split surfaced.

She told Woman’s Weekly: “I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope. does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100% right. With any care situation – and there are millions of carers in this country – it isn’t always easy. It’s testing but we manage as a family.” Ruth added: “I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is.”

Ruth shares son Jack, 22, with Eamonn while he has three children Declan, 35, Rebecca, 32, and Niall, 30, from a previous marriage.

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes stunned fans when they announced they had split up in May, but the Loose Women star has now made a surprising statement about her status

Ruth Langsford has made a huge statement about her marriage to Eamonn Holmes after telling fans they were heading for divorce in May.

The former This Morning stars, both 64, sent shockwaves through the showbiz world when they announced they had called time on their 14-year marriage with reports Ruth was ‘sick of being Eamonn’s carer’.

The GB News star thanked fans for their support the day after the news broke, but Ruth kept quiet, including during her recent return to Loose Women where she failed to mention the break-up.

However, in her latest post on Instagram, she is still wearing her wedding ring as she told fans she was heading off to a meeting with the QVC shopping channel. Looking very glamorous, sporting a natty white blazer, Breton striped top and black designer sunglasses, she captioned the selfie, which she took in a lift: “Design meetings all afternoon @QVCUK.”

It comes after Ruth returned to Loose Women last month after a three-month hiatus, telling the audience: “Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it’s great to have your company!” Her co-star Coleen Nolan added: “Can I just say, I am so so happy you are back.” As the crowd cheered for her return, panellist Janet Street-Porter shouted: “Thank God! Thank God. I was left with her and her,” she joked gesturing to Coleen and Brenda Edwards. “I know, I won’t do it again Janet. It’s very nice to be back with you all,” Ruth responded.

So far, Ruth has refrained from speaking about her breakup with Eamonn. However, there were multiple reports about why she split with the seasoned journalist, with some claiming the mum-of-one was tired of looking after the dad-of-four, who has had a double hip operation and struggles to walk.

Eamonn spoke about his ill health at the recent TRIC Awards when he told the Mirror he felt like he was living on “borrowed time”. Struggling with chronic back pain, which saw him require a high-tech wheelchair at the ceremony, the star spoke candidly about his health after his father died aged 65 from a fatal heart attack in 1991.

The presenter has battled multiple heath issues over the past few years, before his split with Ruth was announced. Speaking to us, he admitted he had considered pulling out of attending the star-studded bash in London, which he usually goes to with his estranged wife, as he had been in so much pain.

Eamonn is reportedly leaning on several female friends in the wake of his split from Ruth. The Northern Irishman said he hoped to remain on good terms with his soon-to-be ex-spouse, despite the Loose Women star staying silent about their relationship.

According to Best magazine, when asked about the mother of his youngest son, Jack, he responded, “It’s too early to say, but I hope we can still be friends.”

Princess Beatrice is turning 36 today, and people have spotted something rather unusual about her birthday.

The royal, who is King Charles’ niece and cousin to Prince William and Prince Harry, was born on August 8, 1988, at the Portland Hospital in London. She is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

With the celebrations in full swing, royal fans have spotted a rather eerie coincindence about the princess’ special day. Posting to X (formerly Twitter), one person wrote: “August 8th 1988.

“The birth of Princess Beatrice of York, now Mrs.Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, at 8:18pm the Portland Hospital in London. Beatrice is the eldest of the two daughters of the Duke and Duchess of York.”

They then added: “I’m not superstitious or anything but wow…how many 8’s are linked to her birth,” followed by a mind-blown emoji.

Others were quick to comment on the strange phenomenon, too. One responded: “Is it just me that remembers the reporting that she was induced to be born on 8.8.88 as 8 is lucky in China and they thought it would be extremely good luck? Maybe it’s one of those false memories,” to which the original poster replied: “Now you’ve said that, it does sounds familiar. But they were lucky with the time of birth as well.”

Meanwhile others simply shared well-wishes for the princess’ birthday. “Wishing HRH Princess Beatrice, Mrs Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi a very happy 36th birthday,” one wrote. Another added: “Wishing a very happy 36th birthday to Princess Beatrice today…”

And a third chimed in: “Princess Beatrice, Mrs Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi celebrates her birthday today. Happy birthday!”

A fourth also added: “Happy 36th birthday to Princess Beatrice of York! Known for her dedication to numerous charitable causes, she is a beacon of grace and compassion. Her work in raising awareness for dyslexia has inspired many, and her warm, approachable nature continues to endear her to people worldwide. Wishing her a day filled with joy and celebration!”

Relations between the Sussexes and the The Firm have been fraught in recent years in the wake of Harry’s memoir, Spare

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with the Royal Family has grown pretty frosty since they stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and moved to the US.

Despite clinging onto their titles, the pair have been absent from frontline royal engagements. In recent years they’ve been largely sidelined in the wake of Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare, and various interviews about his unhappiness in the family.

Here are some notable Palace “snubs” suffered by the Sussexes this year, according to royal watchers.

    1. Palace ‘ignores’ Archie and Lilibet’s birthdays

Back in June, the Royal Family made no public acknowledgement of Princess Lilibet’s birthday online, which some saw as a brutal snub to Prince Harry.

Lilibet, the Sussexes’ second child, turned three on June 4.

Harry and Meghan reportedly marked their daughter’s special day with an intimate party at their Montecito home.

Fans eagerly waited to see if members of the Royal Family would offer well-wishes on social media, only to be disappointed, though birthday messages may have been sent privately.

Prince Archie celebrated his fifth birthday in May and also did not appear to get a public mention from the royals.

Despite the apparent sub, King Charles is said to be “desperate” to have a relationship with his two youngest grandchildren.

    2. Meghan’s birthday ‘ignored’ by Palace

In an apparent snub to Meghan, the Firm remained silent as the Duchess celebrated her 43rd birthday on August 4.

According to People magazine, the Duchess spent the day “privately” at home with family, as she has done in previous years.

However, royal watchers will see the silence from the Royal Family as evidence of the strained relationship between Meghan, Prince Harry, King Charles, and Queen Camilla.

    3. Balmoral summer visit

The Balmoral Estate is known as the summer destination for the Royal Family, with many royals travelling to spend some time there every August.

The King And Queen Visit Wales

The tradition was previously held by the late Queen, who is known to have loved Balmoral. King Charles also enjoys spending time there and is following suit with the annual trip.

Prince Harry previously fondly described his past visits to Balmoral as “simply paradise”, though reportedly hasn’t been invited over the past few years, including this summer.

Although Harry nor Meghan have confirmed – or denied – that they have received an invite, the couple are not expected to join the royals there this month.

    4. King Charles ‘screening Harry’s calls’

Prince Harry and King Charles last met face-to-face for 45 minutes in February in London, following the King’s cancer diagnosis.

The pair are thought to have last enjoyed a lengthy phone call earlier this year, but since then conflicting schedules have meant the duo have been unable to meet in person to try and iron out the friction that remains in the Royal Family

However, royal expert Robert Jobson speculated on the reason King Charles may have stopped responding to calls from his youngest son, telling The Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential podcast: “He has taken them in the past, but I think anybody that knows the situation, who would want to keep taking calls if the conversation just ends in a slanging match about money and legal fees?”

“I think the King has got too much on his plate,” Jobson continued. “He’s been not well at all and he’s been dealing with that.

“He’s only just become the King, he’s got too much to deal with, rather than dealing with Harry’s constant demands.”

    5. Charles’ ‘clear message’ to Harry over Frogmore Cottage

A royal expert claims King Charles is sending a clear message to Prince Harry that he won’t be welcomed back to his beloved former home, Frogmore Cottage.

The monarch, aged 75, is reportedly urging his brother, Prince Andrew, to leave the spacious Royal Lodge in Windsor and relocate to Frogmore Cottage.

But a year on from Prince Harry’s eviction from the property, King Charles is delivering a potent message, according to royal author and expert Tom Quinn.

Mr Quinn told The Mirror: “For King Charles, forcing Andrew to move to Frogmore solves several problems at once it sends a message to Harry that, as a private citizen and no longer a working royal, he will never be allowed back to Frogmore.”

Princess Beatrice’s net worth is reportedly now just a few years away from receiving a boost. The Royal is expected to gain a share of £5 million bequeathed by the late Queen Mother when she turns 40, just like her cousin, Prince Harry, will.

It comes after Queen Elizabeth II’s mother decided to leave her great-grandchildren most of her assets. To ensure her wishes were carried out after her death, in 1994, the Queen Mother put £19 million (approximately two thirds of her money) into a trust fund for this generation of Royals.

According to The Guardian, Prince William and Prince Harry were left the majority of the money, splitting £6 million of the trust between them when they turned 21, and the brothers also get to split another £8 million upon their 40th birthdays. The Times suggest Harry is set to receive a larger split than his brother.

The remaining £5 million will likely be split around the rest of the Queen Mother’s 10 great-grandchildren. If the share given to Harry and William is anything to go by, Beatrice would likely command the greatest split of the £5m given she’s the closest in line to the throne among her remaining cousins.

Although she won’t receive as much money as her older cousins, Princess Beatrice and her sister Eugenie previously made millions when their parents’ marriage came to an end in the nineties.

When Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson split, the terms of the divorce meant that a trust would be set up for the Duchess of York and her daughters.

According to reports, they gained £3 million from the British royal family as part of the settlement, with £1.4 million of that amount going into a trust for Beatrice and Eugenie.

King Charles’s nieces were taken off the Sovereign Grant list of royals who receive money from the UK government when they graduated from university.

After Beatrice graduated in 2011, she held down a variety of jobs, including at Sony Pictures and at software company Afiniti, where she landed a role as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Celebrity Net Worth claims that Princess Beatrice currently stands at about $1 million (£786k), but it’s unclear whether or not this sum is in liquid assets and it will certainly increase when she turns 40.

Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is also said to be worth millions, as the founder of a property consultancy firm called Banda. It specialises in discreetly finding and developing multi-million-pound homes for wealthy clients.

Meanwhile, Beatrice’s younger sister Eugenie is worth up to $4.5 million (£3.5m), according to estimates, and holds down a job as associate director for the contemporary art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Beatrice’s cousin Harry is reportedly worth $60 million (£47m), with his wealth appearing to have multiplied following his departure from the Royal Family, alongside wife Meghan Markle.

Her older cousin Prince William’s net worth is estimated at a jaw-dropping $100 million (£78m), and also boasts an array of high-value assets, including the grand Anmer Hall in Norfolk, which he owns together with wife Princess Kate.
