The Duchess of York has posted a sweet picture of herself with her eldest daughter Princess Beatrice to mark her 36th birthday today.

Sarah Ferguson, 64, shared the black and white image with Princess Beatrice on Instagram as she wished her daughter ‘Happy Birthday’.

The picture, which amassed over 8,000 likes in just a few hours, shows the pair with their heads close together, with a grinning Sarah seemingly whispering something into Beatrice’s ear.

While Beatrice’s face is obscured, Sarah, whose hair is tied back, is looking at the camera.

Sarah’s post is accompanied by a touching caption praising her ‘amazing daughter’.

It reads: “Happy birthday my wonderful Beatrice. You are the most amazing daughter, mother, stepmother, sister, wife and woman!

Princess Beatrice is currently married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and is stepmother to his eight-year-old son Christopher ‘Woolfie’ Woolf. The couple also share a two-year-old daughter, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.

Sarah’s post has attracted over 200 comments from royal fans, with people congratulating Beatrice from all over the world.

In a surprise turn of events, Princess Beatrice was crowned the best-dressed person of 2024 by Tatler following rather daring sartorial choices in the past.

The fashion turnaround is in part down to celebrity stylist Olivia Buckingham, who introduced Beatrice to haute couture fashion.

The Daily Express exclusively revealed today that the Duchess of York turned down a spot on Strictly Come Dancing after she was approached by the BBC earlier this year.

Several royal home renovations have been paid by taxpayers and when projects come out of the Sovereign Grant, the fund values are made public.

Royal renovations don’t come cheap, and sadly many of us are footing the bill. Some of the housework done for the likes of the King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate have come to eye-watering amounts.

When the projects come out of the Sovereign Grant the fund values are made public, meaning we know who spent how much on doing up their homes.

Some of the most expensive renovations have come from Prince William and Kate who have spent a whopping £4.5m on doing up their Kensington home.

As revealed in the 2014 Sovereign Grant report, the royal couple’s Kensington Palace property cost the taxpayer millions, with renovations taking place over two years.

While Kensington Palace is still their official residence, Kate and William have since moved out of London and reside primarily in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor or Anmer Hall, their holiday home in Norfolk.

Some of the major repairs to Kensington Palace, which the couple moved to in 2011, included removing asbestos and repairing the roof but the Prince and Princess of Wales did fork out their own money too.

William and Kate paid privately for a second family kitchen as the main kitchen is used for working, and accomodating official events.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also cost the taxpayer a pretty penny with renovations at their family home, Frogmore Cottage, costing £2.4m, according to the royal accounts which they then paid back in full.

The home was done up and completed a month before their eldest, Prince Archie, was born.

Taxpayers have also bankrolled other royal homes, including Clarence House, home to King Charles and Camila who are still living there while renovations take place at Buckingham Palace.

Some £4m was was used from public funds set aside for palace maintenance to renovate the property, with Charles also spending £1.65million of his own money to cover additional refurbishments.

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, has also had refurbs worth £7.5m made to his home, Royal Lodge Windsor, which has been his official country residence since 2004.

But Buckingham Palace takes the cake with an eye-watering £369m renovation taking place over ten years.

For the 2023-24 year, renovations have cost more than £80m, with the Keeper of the Privy Purse, Sir Michael Stevens, saying: “The figure for the year remained unchanged at £86.3 million, with a significant proportion funding the Reservicing of Buckingham Palace, which is now in its seventh year.

“This figure will remain unchanged at £86.3 million for the year 2023-24.”

David Beckham and daughter Harper enjoyed a father and daughter night out as they headed for pizza at Miami Slice on Thursday evening.

The pair looked delighted as they tucked into their food together as the 48-year-old beamed beside his youngest, who just turned 12.

The establishment were thrilled to host the famous pair as they reposted his story writing ‘It’s always a pleasure, sir’.

The family moved over to Miami in 2021 after David became president and co-owner of Inter Miami CF.

Harper was recently pictured having a great time in Disneyland after her incredibly lavish Prada themed party at Harrods and £2,100 designer handbag birthday present from her parents.

Third son Cruz excited Becks fans when he revealed a video of him playing the guitar for his mother and former Spice Girls singers to sing at a party last month.

The images were taken at Vic’s 50th birthday party in London on April 20, but on the morning of May 9 (Hanoi time), Cruz Beckham uploaded the video.

In it, the boy born in 2005 encouraged his mother and the remaining 4 members of Spice Girls as they sang together.

It has been a whirlwind week of apartment hunting, football and water park fun in Miami for the Beckham brood.

But it was homeward bound for the family as they arrived at Miami Airport on Wednesday and prepared to head home to London after their sunshine break.

Victoria, 45, exuded elegance in a black lingerie-inspired maxi dress, while David, 44, and Harper, eight, trailed behind holding hands.

The fashion designer slipped into a black dress with a lace lingerie-inspired neckline and a sheer midsection as she breezed through the terminal.

Loose Women was thrown into total chaos as the panellist ditched their usual set and hosted their first ever prom.

During Thursday’s episode of the ITV hit daytime show, viewers watching at home and the live studio audience were joined by Coleen Nolan, Frankie Bridge, Katie Piper and Brenda Edwards.

To celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, the panellists revealed that they are taking over the Loose Women set with balloons as well as going all out with their glam and ball gowns.

To surprise viewers, the stars started the show in what looked like a limo. Coleen started off by saying: ”We are off to our first Loose Women prom and what a great way to mark our 25th anniversary.”

Brenda jumped in and asked: “I’m excited but a bit nervous because who is gonna be prom queen.” Katie revealed: “Oh come on we are all going to be prom queens in this fabulous limo.”

Jane McDonald choked back tears during a classic episode of her travel series, Jane McDonald: Lost in Japan after she received an emotional message about her future.

.While filming for the Channel 5 series, the former cruise ship singer shared an insight into what lies ahead and was given an O-mikuji, a paper strip that reveals your fortune.

“Is there anything bad in there?” Jane nervously asked the tour guide.

Before Jane read out her fortune, the tour guide warned her about a potential negative fate but reassured the star that any ill luck could be easily dispelled.

Upon drawing her paper to read her a daily horoscope, Jane emotionally recited to the viewers: “Wow. I feel as if I was strongly on the spring fields with my family, so comfortable.”

“Wow, that is quite emotional actually, isn’t it?” Jane continued as she struggled to hold back tears.

“You could realise almost everything as if you could drive easily on a downhill road,” she went on.

“Work hard and believe and you will be successful just like grass grows thanks to the rain heaven gives.”

“This is just so, so beautiful,” she stated before asking: “So this is good luck?”

“This is good luck,” the tour guide reassured as Jane said with a sigh of relief: “Thank goodness for that, I was a bit worried about that.”

In a warm embrace, Jane expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guide for enriching her understanding of Japanese traditions.

On another part of the show, Jane dabbled in origami – the Japanese art of paper folding – and even tried sumo wrestling.

She also had an opportunity to showcase her singing skills, but it was at a local karaoke bar.

Jane thoroughly enjoyed herself as she sang along with other participants for the night, with many choosing to perform I Will Survive.

Two George Clooney and David Beckham lookalikes were invited to share the spotlight with Brenda Edwards and Coleen Nolan but viewers had nothing good to say about them.

Taking the helm of Loose Women, Coleen, 59, hosted a special “prom” instalment of the programme, showing up to the studio alongside co-stars Katie Piper, Brenda Edwards and Frankie Bridge dressed to the nines in a sequined navy blue dress and chic up-do this Wednesday.

But as the instalment drew to a close, paving the way for horse racing to take over ITV’s daytime schedule, Katie announced she had organised surprise dates for Brenda and Coleen.

Katie beamed in a red gown as she announced: “Please welcome Coleen your prom date, George Cloney. And Brenda, we didn’t you’d be able to resist his golden balls, it’s David Peckhim!”

Two men appeared in the studio, suited up and somewhat resembling the A-listers, but viewers at home took to X, otherwise known as Twitter, unimpressed.

“When you order George Clooney and David Beckam off Temu”, one of them quipped, while a second added: “Fella in a plastic Beckham mask.”

A third amused TV watcher chipped in: “David Beckham? More like David Peckham”, just as another slammed the “Worst lookalikes ever!” One final fan chimed in: “He looks sod all like George Clooney nor does the other one look like David Beckham.”

Minutes into the show, Coleen and Brenda reacted to suspicions they could be embroiled in a full-blown feud behind the Loose Women scenes. Coleen asked: “What is your most significant friendship?” to which the former X Factor star said: “Unlikely, with you”, leaving a surprised Coleen to retort: “Well, I don’t know where that’s coming from.”

Brenda went on to explain that the feud was only theorised by certain fans of their show. “A lot of people come to me and they keep saying ‘ so are you really friends with Coleen?’

“I think they think I’m so serious and you’re so funny so we can’t mix”, she added. “Are you serious? Well, that’s where they’re going wrong”, muttered Coleen, sipping from her mug.

The pair dismissed these suspicions with Brenda saying: “It surprises me when people say that because I think you’re lovely.” Coleen concluded: “We have got a really good friendship.
