Victoria Beckham has opened up about the secret to her long-lasting relationship with David Beckham as the pair mark 25 years of marriage in July.

In the world of showbiz where heightened pressures of fame can take a toll on a relationship, the couple continue to prove that true love does exist.

Speaking in a new interview, Victoria shared that she loves David more than ever before as she praised her “supportive” spouse in a chat with, American actress turned businesswoman, Gwyneth Paltrow.

Gushing over their relationship, the 50-year-old said: “I love him more now than when I first met him.

“We have grown together and I feel very thankful and grateful that I’ve done so much in my career and given so much to my children,

but it hasn’t been at the compromise of my relationship. It’s like a juggling act when you’re trying to work and be a mum and be a wife.”

The couple, who tied the knot in 1999, are parents to four children; Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and 12-year-old Harper. With a packed schedule including managing her two businesses, home and family commitments, Victoria said making time for one another is important amongst the chaos.

On the Goop podcast, she continued: “We like to do that (trips), we like to spend as much time together as we can. It’s important, when we’re in London as a family we make sure we’re always eating dinner together.

“Us and the children and talking about our day. It’s basic things like that which I think are really important.”

27 years into their relationship, Victoria went on to say that she and David, 49, still very much enjoy each other’s company and often work out together.

Gushing further, she continued: “I think we have so much respect for each other’s careers and passions.

“I couldn’t do what I do if I didn’t have a husband who is so supportive.

“He has supported me on so many levels and I do the same for him.

“I want to make him feel like the best version of himself and he does the same for me.”

Of what also helps their marriage stay strong, Victoria said the pair “share the same values”, have “a lot of fun together” and are on the same page when it comes to parenting.

The pair are no strangers to expressing their love for each other on social media, most recently when it was Victoria’s 50th.

Taking to his Instagram page at the time, David shared a montage of unseen pictures and videos of his spouse from over the years along with a cheeky comment.

Gushing over his “beautiful wife”, the former footballer shared: “As you head into this birthday you should look back and be proud of what you have accomplished, achieved & what you have built, Posh spice, business woman & of course marrying an England captain,” alongside a crying with laughter emoji.

He continued: “But your biggest success are your children, you guide them, love them & teach them… They love you beyond words, we all love you so much x Have a special day you deserve it all.”

David went on to say his wife was “50 and fit” and added: “I AM BEING HONEST.”

The phrase refers to the humorous viral moment from his Beckham documentary in which David encouraged Victoria to “be honest” about which car her dad drove her to school in, after she claimed she was working class.

Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster has shed light on a pastime that helped Manchester United legend David Beckham relax during his time with the England national team.

Foster disclosed that Beckham had a deep love for Lego and would spend hours completing sets while on international duty.

During an episode of his podcast, Fozcast, Foster shared: “He used to bring Lego sets to England.

Prince  Harry was featured in ITV’s recent special, “Tabloids on Trial.” And guess what? He’s once again making the claim that his battle against the tabloid press is a major reason for the rift with his family. This assertion doesn’t hold up for several reasons. Firstly, it’s clear that Harry and Meghan have contributed to the rift by constantly airing grievances about their family. It’s hard to see how this wouldn’t create tension.

Moreover, Prince William had already taken legal action over phone hacking incidents involving him and Catherine, reaching a settlement years ago. Once you settle, you typically can’t pursue further legal action on the same issue. Harry’s notion of a unified legal front is flawed because he chose a different path from the rest of the family. While the royal family preferred a settlement to avoid a lengthy trial, Harry opted for the latter. So, how is this the royal family’s fault?

Harry often avoids accepting responsibility for his choices. His omission of these crucial details in the interview feels manipulative, even if he may not fully realize it. He seems baffled by the backlash he receives for these interviews, blaming it all on the press rather than reflecting on his own actions.

 

In a somewhat over-the-top analogy, Harry describes his legal battle as “slaying dragons,” which comes off as a bit juvenile. He claims this is a monumental endeavor, but in reality, his financial settlement was significantly smaller compared to Prince William’s. Harry’s payout was £140,000, while William’s settlement was likely in the millions. Harry’s situation, involving only nine instances of phone hacking compared to Catherine’s 140, doesn’t seem as impactful. 

Harry’s attempt to link his legal battles to his family rift is not only overreaching but also absurd. The real cause of the rift seems to be the constant public criticisms and accusations made by Harry and Meghan, many of which have been proven false or exaggerated. This ongoing saga suggests that Harry is once again contradicting himself.

For instance, Harry claims Queen Elizabeth would have supported his legal action, which seems unlikely given her preference for settlements to maintain privacy. He also contradicts himself when discussing King Charles and Princess Catherine’s health, implying his legal battles are entirely separate from his family’s well-being, yet he suggests they are central to the family rift.

Harry’s discussion of paranoia is also flawed. He argues that being vindicated from past hacking claims proves he wasn’t paranoid, which muddles the distinction between genuine concern and irrational fear. His ongoing fixation on these issues, despite the minimal hacking incidents compared to others, points to an exaggeration of his own situation.

The Sussexes seem to be struggling with their public image, partly because their legal battles and criticisms of the press are based on old issues. Meghan was not the subject of the same level of intrusive press coverage as Diana or Catherine, which should have been a positive change. Yet, Harry and Meghan appear to be dissatisfied with the lack of media frenzy, reacting aggressively to any negative coverage.

Harry’s narrative that his lawsuits have led to more negative press is also misleading. The critical stories about him and Meghan stem from their own actions and behavior, not from any retaliation by the media. His attempts to shift the blame to the press for the negative coverage they receive are not convincing.

Moreover, Harry’s claim of working for the greater good falls short. Unlike Prince William, who is actively addressing homelessness and making a tangible impact, Harry’s legal actions primarily benefit himself and Meghan. His attempts to portray this as a public service mission are out of touch with reality.

On Aug. 5, Prince Edward’s wife celebrated in the stands at the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Velodrome after the British track cycling team won gold in the women’s team sprint, medaling in the event for the first time and simultaneously setting the world record time of 45.186. As seen in a video shared to X by the royal family’s official account, Sophie, 59, raised her arms in the air, cheered and reached to hug the man next to her as the moment unfolded.

“Yes!” the Duchess of Edinburgh exclaimed as she applauded.

While the hug was a much friendlier and informal exchange than the bows and curtsies often associated with the British royal family, there are no obligatory codes of behavior when interacting with royals.

According to the royal family’s official website, which has yet to be fully updated following the death of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, there is no enforced etiquette, “but many people wish to observe the traditional forms.”

“For men, this is a neck bow (from the head only) whilst women do a small curtsy. Other people prefer simply to shake hands in the usual way,” the guidance outlines.

Members of the royal family appear to have relaxed their stance around traditional protocol in recent years, from giving public hugs to smiling for selfies.

Sophie became the Duchess of Edinburgh when King Charles confirmed the change on Prince Edward’s birthday in March 2023, and she also serves as patron of the British Cycling Federation, the governing body for cycling in Britain.

While it’s possible that they may pop up in Paris before the Olympics end on Aug. 11, Princess Kate’s plans may also depend on how she’s feeling as she continues cancer treatment. The Princess of Wales announced in March that she is undergoing chemotherapy and made her second public appearance of the year at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships with Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Middleton on July 14.
