Jane McDonald halts show as she chokes back tears and admits ‘I’m worried’ over future

Loose Women presenter Jane McDonald has travelled across the world for her Channel 5 series – but one of the places she wanted to tick off her list was Japan

Jane McDonald choked back tears during a classic episode of her travel series, Jane McDonald: Lost in Japan after she received an emotional message about her future.

.While filming for the Channel 5 series, the former cruise ship singer shared an insight into what lies ahead and was given an O-mikuji, a paper strip that reveals your fortune.

“Is there anything bad in there?” Jane nervously asked the tour guide.

Before Jane read out her fortune, the tour guide warned her about a potential negative fate but reassured the star that any ill luck could be easily dispelled.

Upon drawing her paper to read her a daily horoscope, Jane emotionally recited to the viewers: “Wow. I feel as if I was strongly on the spring fields with my family, so comfortable.”

“Wow, that is quite emotional actually, isn’t it?” Jane continued as she struggled to hold back tears.

“You could realise almost everything as if you could drive easily on a downhill road,” she went on.

“Work hard and believe and you will be successful just like grass grows thanks to the rain heaven gives.”

“This is just so, so beautiful,” she stated before asking: “So this is good luck?”

“This is good luck,” the tour guide reassured as Jane said with a sigh of relief: “Thank goodness for that, I was a bit worried about that.”

In a warm embrace, Jane expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guide for enriching her understanding of Japanese traditions.

On another part of the show, Jane dabbled in origami – the Japanese art of paper folding – and even tried sumo wrestling.

She also had an opportunity to showcase her singing skills, but it was at a local karaoke bar.

Jane thoroughly enjoyed herself as she sang along with other participants for the night, with many choosing to perform I Will Survive.

Loose Women viewers slam ‘worst lookalikes ever’ as panel welcomes A-list doppelgangers

Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and their Loose Women co-stars celebrated a prom episode of their daytime show, prompting Katie Piper to reveal their dates to the rest of the studio

Two George Clooney and David Beckham lookalikes were invited to share the spotlight with Brenda Edwards and Coleen Nolan but viewers had nothing good to say about them.

Taking the helm of Loose Women, Coleen, 59, hosted a special “prom” instalment of the programme, showing up to the studio alongside co-stars Katie Piper, Brenda Edwards and Frankie Bridge dressed to the nines in a sequined navy blue dress and chic up-do this Wednesday.

But as the instalment drew to a close, paving the way for horse racing to take over ITV’s daytime schedule, Katie announced she had organised surprise dates for Brenda and Coleen.

Katie beamed in a red gown as she announced: “Please welcome Coleen your prom date, George Cloney. And Brenda, we didn’t you’d be able to resist his golden balls, it’s David Peckhim!”

Two men appeared in the studio, suited up and somewhat resembling the A-listers, but viewers at home took to X, otherwise known as Twitter, unimpressed.

“When you order George Clooney and David Beckam off Temu”, one of them quipped, while a second added: “Fella in a plastic Beckham mask.”

A third amused TV watcher chipped in: “David Beckham? More like David Peckham”, just as another slammed the “Worst lookalikes ever!” One final fan chimed in: “He looks sod all like George Clooney nor does the other one look like David Beckham.”

Minutes into the show, Coleen and Brenda reacted to suspicions they could be embroiled in a full-blown feud behind the Loose Women scenes. Coleen asked: “What is your most significant friendship?” to which the former X Factor star said: “Unlikely, with you”, leaving a surprised Coleen to retort: “Well, I don’t know where that’s coming from.”

Brenda went on to explain that the feud was only theorised by certain fans of their show. “A lot of people come to me and they keep saying ‘ so are you really friends with Coleen?’

“I think they think I’m so serious and you’re so funny so we can’t mix”, she added. “Are you serious? Well, that’s where they’re going wrong”, muttered Coleen, sipping from her mug.

The pair dismissed these suspicions with Brenda saying: “It surprises me when people say that because I think you’re lovely.” Coleen concluded: “We have got a really good friendship.

  • David and Victoria dismantled their $33M house in LA because they didn’t want it to appear in children’s inheritance, really?

David and Victoria dismantled their $33M house in LA because they didn’t want it to appear in children’s inheritance, really?

David and Victoria Beckham have sold their longtime Beverly Hills mansion for a little more than $33 million, according to newly filed property records.

The couple, who’ve reportedly been shopping their secluded California mansion around for years, finally sealed the deal last month, records show.

It was sold in an off-market deal, as the home was never publicly listed.

The buyer is listed only as a Delaware limited liability company, though the new owner is likely a person with name recognition.

The law firm representing the buyer, Avenue of the Stars-based Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman and Machtinger, counts myriad clients from the entertainment and music industries on its roster.

The British power couple made a lot more than a pretty penny off the sale.

They sold the airy Mediterranean-style home for nearly $15 million more than they paid 11 years ago, according to property records.

The couple bought the home newly built for $18.2 million through a trust linked to their London-based accountant in 2007—the year Mr. Beckham signed on to play for Major League Soccer club L.A. Galaxy.

The house is tucked behind a row of other mansions facing San Ysidro Drive, which cut it off it from the main road. There’s a pool; a long, narrow driveway; and a ring of towering palm trees that offer additional privacy to the residents, aerial images of the home show.

Since the Beckhams never marketed the home publicly, very little is known about what the family of six has done to the estate in over a decade of ownership.

Assessment records indicate the home spans roughly 11,500 square feet with six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Inside, the house boasts exceptionally tall ceilings and rows of French doors that open onto the grounds, fireplaces and hardwood floors, according to images of the home from 2007.

Mr. Beckham, 43, who retired in 2013, and Ms. Beckham, 44, a former Spice Girl who runs a successful, self-titled fashion label, also own properties in London and in a posh countryside region known as the Cotswolds in the southwest of England.

A publicist for the Beckhams did not immediately return a request for comment.
The Beckhams’ decision to sell their Beverly Hills mansion has certainly caused a stir in the real estate world. With the property fetching over $33 million in an off-market deal, it’s clear that the British power couple made a wise investment over a decade ago. The new owner, shrouded in mystery behind a Delaware limited liability company, is likely someone with a significant presence in the entertainment or music industries given the high-profile clientele of the buyer’s law firm. The Mediterranean-style home, nestled behind a row of other luxurious mansions, offers an impressive 11,500 square feet of living space with six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The property features a pool, a long driveway, and a ring of towering palm trees that provide an additional layer of privacy. Despite the lack of public listing, aerial images reveal a stunning residence with exceptionally tall ceilings, French doors, fireplaces, and hardwood floors. While little is known about the enhancements made by the Beckhams to the estate during their ownership, it’s evident that they profited handsomely from the sale, earning nearly $15 million more than the purchase price in 2007. The couple, who also own properties in London and the Cotswolds, have cultivated a real estate portfolio that mirrors their status as global icons in sports and entertainment. As the Beckhams embark on a new chapter, their decision to part ways with their Beverly Hills abode offers a glimpse into their evolving investment strategies and lifestyle choices. The sale serves as a reminder of the couple’s savvy business acumen and their ability to navigate the ever-changing landscape of luxury real estate. David begged Gordon to teach Brooklyn cooking after learning he dreamed of becoming a chef, really?

Earlier this week, Gordon Ramsay participated in an epic cook-off, and although that’s a pretty standard occurrence for the world-renowned TV chef, this particular competition was a little different.

Instead of facing another professional cook, he went head-to-head with his best friend, the equally competitive David Beckham.

During this week’s episode of The F Word, Beckham came to Ramsay’s kitchen, and the two competed to see who could make the best risotto.

As you would expect from two men who have been at the top of their fields, the competition was fierce.

From the moment the cook-off officially began, the two besties trolled one another non-stop, trying to get the other to screw up their dish.

Ramsay kept asking Beckham questions, which prompted the footballer to ask exasperatedly, “Are we going to talk all the way through this?”

To that, Ramsay responded, “The idea is to talk as much as I can to put you off, hoping that your slip up, burn something, and I sneak in from behind and win.” Chef Ramsay also tried intimidating his friend with loud but impressive knife skills, while Beckham dished out a low blow saying that his wife Victoria Beckham complained that the fish Gordon prepared for her last week was undercooked. These guys are cut throat.

Though we thought David Beckham had extremely questionable taste in food — remember his beyond-strange birthday dinner of choice back in May? — the mushroom, asparagus, and pea risotto he prepared during the competition actually looked quite tasty. On the other hand, since we’re always impressed with Gordon’s cooking, we weren’t surprised to find ourselves drooling all over the place when we saw his risotto made with grilled corn and Dungeness crab.

In the end, both dishes looked amazing, and we kind of don’t even care who actually ended up victorious. Let’s face it, with a video of two of our fave celebs talking crap to one another in charming British accents, we’re all winners.
Gordon Ramsay and David Beckham, two titans in their respective fields, recently faced off in a friendly but intense cooking competition on The F Word. The challenge? Who could make the best risotto. As expected, the banter between these two best friends was non-stop, with Ramsay trying to distract Beckham with questions and impressive knife skills, while Beckham retaliated with a dig at Ramsay’s cooking skills. Despite Beckham’s previous questionable food choices, his mushroom, asparagus, and pea risotto turned out surprisingly delicious. Meanwhile, Ramsay’s grilled corn and Dungeness crab risotto was drool-worthy as usual. In the end, both dishes were a hit, leaving us fans the real winners of this entertaining showdown. • Beckham caused controversy when he called MU’s failures the motivation for him to develop Inter Miami

Beckham caused controversy when he called MU’s failures the motivation for him to develop Inter Miami

Former United star Beckham was in Manchester on Thursday to attend the premiere of a new documentary about the club’s 1999 treble-winning side.

Beckham was a key figure in the United team that won the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup under legendary boss Alex Ferguson.

Now the former England captain’s Studio 99 company have played a role in the production of ’99’, a three-part series that launches on May 17.

Twenty-five years on from his role in that epic treble triumph, Beckham addressed the current malaise at Old Trafford.

United manager Erik ten Hag is fighting to avoid the sack with his team languishing in eighth place in the Premier League after Monday’s embarrassing 4-0 loss at Crystal Palace.

Beckham believes the players must take their share of the blame, saying: “You’d hope that the manager doesn’t have to do much.

“I think that’s the whole point of being a Manchester United player and playing in these big games – you should be motivated.”

Ten Hag’s difficult second season in charge could be salvaged if United beat arch rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

And Beckham hopes United’s current crop can prove they deserve long-term futures at the club by shining at Wembley as they look to avenge last season’s loss to City in the final.

“When you’re a professional footballer and you’re doing the job you love and you’re at the club you love, when you’re playing in any game, whether it’s a regular season game or whether it’s an FA Cup final against your rivals, that should be enough motivation,” he said.

“And, if it’s not, then you’re in the wrong team and you’re playing the wrong sport. We went into every game, whether it was a youth cup game, a friendly game, off-season or a European Cup final, with the same mentality and the same drive.

“We all know Erik’s a very qualified manager and a good manager and he has the right motives.”

Beckham, a member of United’s famed ‘Class of 92’ that also included Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Nicky Butt, won six Premier League titles, one Champions League and numerous other honours during 11 years before joining Real Madrid.

The 49-year-old, a boyhood United fan, admits he has been discouraged by the club’s problems since their last Premier League crown in Ferguson’s final season in 2013.

“Obviously it’s been a tough five, 10, 15 years at United and we all know that but it was never going to be easy when the boss left, (Roy) Keane left, Giggsy (Ryan Giggs) left, Gary (Neville) left,” he said.

“All of these important players and personalities and characters all left United, it was always going to be a difficult time.

“We want the lads to feel – from this documentary – the inspiration of being this successful.”
Beckham’s presence at the premiere of the documentary about Manchester United’s treble-winning side reignited the nostalgic memories of the glorious 1999 season. As a pivotal player in Sir Alex Ferguson’s remarkable team, Beckham understands the pressures and expectations that come with wearing the United badge. Reflecting on the current struggles at Old Trafford, Beckham emphasized the need for the players to take responsibility and show the same passion and commitment that defined their successful predecessors. With Erik ten Hag fighting to keep his job amidst a disappointing season, Beckham remains confident in the manager’s abilities. The upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester City presents an opportunity for redemption and a chance for the current squad to prove their worth. Beckham’s words echo the sentiment of a true United legend, emphasizing the importance of passion, dedication, and pride in representing the club.Looking back at his own illustrious career at United, Beckham acknowledges the challenges that the team has faced in the post-Ferguson era. The departure of key figures has left a void that has been difficult to fill, but Beckham remains hopeful that the values instilled by the ‘Class of 92’ can inspire the current generation of players. As a lifelong fan of the club, Beckham’s passion for United is unwavering, and he is committed to seeing the team return to its former glory. As we continue to provide updates and insights on all things football, we invite you to join us on this journey of discovery and inspiration. • Why wasn’t David Beckham knighted despite his charitable activities around the world?

Why wasn’t David Beckham knighted despite his charitable activities around the world?

Since THAT halfway line goal against Wimbledon in 1996 the former Manchester United and England midfielder has rarely been away from our screens or back pages.

We know he married Posh Spice, we know he copped a boot on the head from Sir Alex Ferguson and we know his other half refers to him as Golden Balls.

We know he has tattoos, we know each of his hairstyles and we all know he went from 1998 villain to hero with the national football team.

But do we know how much the Londoner does for those not as fortunate as him?

On Saturday afternoon, Beckham will lead out a Great Britain side at a packed Old Trafford.

The match, against a Rest of the World side made up of his old cronies from across the globe, will raise thousands for the children’s charity UNICEF.

It has been no small undertaking. At one point Beckham almost brought together warring duo Ferguson and Roy Keane. Had it not been for a calf injury, Rio Ferdinand was set to line up alongside Ashley Cole and John Terry.

But that is the least of it. The game at the Theatre of Dreams is the last of seven in each of the world’s continents.

Earlier this month Beckham, in his 10th year as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, was in a refugee camp in Dijbouti, meeting children and families displaced by conflict in nearby countries.

The Ali Addeh camp holds more than 10,000 refugees from Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia. It is fair to say that when Beckham arrived there was some excitement.

There was also publicity of the plight of those stationed there, which was kind of the point.

‘As a father it breaks my heart to see children living in such difficult circumstances,’ he said.

Words that would strike a chord with most, especially when they come from the former England captain.

Beckham is also a founding member of Malaria No More and a supporter of Help for Heroes.

In 2010 he flew to Afghanistan to meet British forces serving in Helmand.

As if this was not enough, the charity he runs with his wife, The Victoria and David Beckham Charitable Trust, has raised more than £1m in five years.

Their work has helped sick and disabled across the planet.

A recent poll of 1,000 found that more than half believed Beckham should not be knighted.

If they are right then we may as well give up.

Beckham won 115 England caps, and singlehandedly got us into the 2002 World Cup.

He captained the side of six years and have his all for the Three Lions.

He is an ambassador not just for UNICEF but for this country, having won friends wherever he has played.

The next time those at Buckingham Palace discuss who gets the sword on the shoulders, Beckham should be top of the list.
