Richard Madeley tells guest ‘you make me sick’ as GMB star takes ‘swipe’

Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley didn’t hold back when he spoke to guest Olly Murs on the ITV show as the star made a swipe at the singer ahead of his appearance on BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?

On Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, Richard Madeley playfully expressed his outrage at guest Olly Murs’ successes in life.

The ITV host was joined by Kate Garraway and together they welcomed the former X Factor sensation as he discussed his appearance on BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?

A delightful montage of Olly’s chart-topping hits played, after which Kate teased him using his track Troublemaker, hinting that fatherhood now called for a more mature approach.Olly shared his anticipation about showing his daughter the breadth of his career, as family snapshots appeared on screen.

Looking at the images, Richard quipped: “Look at you! You’ve got a beautiful baby, you’ve got a beautiful wife. You look great, you’ve got a fantastic career, you’ve got a great back catalogue. You make me sick!”

His comments made Olly burst into laughter, as he accepted the compliment. In jest, Richard clarified: “What I mean is, you must feel blessed sometimes.”

Olly, who is 40 years old, acknowledged his fortunate circumstances, reflecting on the significant personal and professional milestones he’s reached over the last couple of years.

He tied the knot with Amelia Tank in 2023, and the couple was thrilled to welcome their daughter Madison this April, reports the Mirror. Olly also celebrated a notable anniversary, marking 15 years since his rise to fame.

Richard expressed his astonishment during the interview, saying: “It’s not 15?! I thought that was a misprint in our notes.”

Olly agreed on how swiftly time has passed, responding: “It has been an amazing time. I’m super happy, life’s good at the moment.”

Kate praised Olly for his dedication to his career and his boundless energy, commenting: “Tonight we see that actually, that spirit goes right back through the genes.”

Olly shared an intriguing discovery from his episode of Who Do You Think You Are? as he revealed: “I found out that Veronica, my great grandmother was a trapeze artist, a full-time trapeze artist. In that clip, she was five months pregnant with my grandad.”

There was me thinking that I was the only Murs that had their name in lights and Murs was already a thing!”

Alex Jones has shared her “funny” experience with Tom Jones, which saw her sneaking off to a Premier Inn. The One Show presenter, originally from Ammanford in Carmarthenshire, was talking on the Binge! podcast which she co-hosts alongside McFly drummer Harry Judd.

During the entertainment podcast, the BBC presenter shared a story about the time she encountered Welsh music legend, none other than Sir Tom Jones. The anecdote saw Alex and her friend, Tess, begin their night at the prestigious and iconic Balmoral Hotel, right at the heart of the Scottish capital. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.

“Shall I tell you a funny story about Tom Jones?” she began. “I was in Edinburgh doing a concert, and the next night, Tom Jones was doing a concert in the castle. So, my friend Tess and I were in the bar in The Balmoral, which is like a jazzy hotel, and we weren’t staying there but we’d gone there because we heard the burgers were good.

“So, we’re having a G&T and a burger in the bar. And Mark, who’s Tom Jones’ son also his manager, comes down. And he’s like, ‘Alex, how are you?’, and I said, ‘Oh, I’m very good, Mark. How are you?’.

“And he said, ‘Hey, Dad’s performing tonight in the castle, can you stay? Do you want to come?’. So he rang Tom and said, ‘Tom, Alex is down here, come down to the bar’. So he came down and he said, ‘Are you going to come to the concert then?’.”

Commenting on the slight change in her accent while sharing the story, Alex said: “Why am I putting on a Welsh accent? When I already have one. That is so weird.” But she continued: “We get in the minibus with Tom Jones – me, Tess, and off we go up to the castle. It’s a brilliant concert.”

Tom Jones had invited the presenter and her friend to watch him perform
“The Welsh Mafia,” Harry interjected. “Welsh Mafia,” Alex agreed. “We have a whale of a time,” she said. “Tom’s doing his thing. At the end of the night he says, ‘Don’t go now, we’ll get the car together’. So we get back in the minibus and they bring us back down from the castle into town.

“And they drop us off at The Balmoral because neither of us said we’re not actually staying there. And then we had to get an Uber to the Premier Inn round the corner.”

Many have responded to a social media post which shares the clip, with many describing the anecdote as “brilliant”. “Such a good story,” another said. Another responded with: “That’s hilarious”, in which Alex Jones responded herself with: “There’s more where that came from”.

Ruth Langsford has been remaining “quiet and classy” amid her divorce from Eamonn Holmes, which is reportedly how she feels is the “best way” to react as the GB News presenter moves on with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander.

Last weekend, Eamonn, 64, was spotted with his new love interest, 42, during a stop on their romantic cruise. They enjoyed a night out in Spain and were photographed looking very loved up.

After the new couple put on a public display of affection during their luxury holiday, the Loose Women star, 64, has had a very dignified response.

An insider claimed: “Ruth has remained quiet and classy. Even when people bring up what Eamonn has been up to, she stays silent and just smiles.

“She thinks that is the best way…It has been humiliating for her to see Eamonn and Katie together – and that was before the cringe photos while they were on holiday.”

The TRIC Awards 2022 - ArrivalsThe insider added to the Mail on Sunday that Ruth has reached another stage in their separation by removing the £2,000 stairlift Eamonn used to get up and down the stairs at their Surrey home.

The estranged couple used to reside in a lavish £3.5 million five-bedroom house in Weybridge, Surrey, which Ruth has continued to live in post-split. Meanwhile, Eamonn has relocated to a nearby apartment.

Eamonn is understood to have struck up a friendship with Katie nine years before his split from Ruth.

It is unclear when their relationship turned romantic, but he had reportedly been showering the divorced relationship counsellor with gifts. These included tickets to a Beyonce concert and taking her and her children to a Manchester United Premier League game.

Ruth LangsfordElsewhere in Ruth and Eamonn’s divorce proceedings, Ruth is set to become the primary carer of their dog, Maggie, whom they have had for 14 years.

A source revealed to the Express last week: “Eamonn has resigned himself to the fact that he will lose ownership of Maggie. He loves that dog with all his heart but it looks like Ruth will be the dog’s main carer.

“When things settle, he’ll hopefully be able to see Maggie from time to time.”

Eamonn recently addressed concerns about Maggie’s health, assuring fans that despite her age and recent operation to remove a growth, she was still in “better shape” than him amid his own health issues.

The former This Morning host said: “A lot of you wondering about Maggie. She’s had an op to remove a growth. All well. Not bad for a 14-year-old! In fact, she’s in better shape than me.”

Eamonn has largely kept quiet about their divorce but did open up about his hopes that they can “still be friends” while speaking at the TRIC Awards in June.

Ruth has not yet spoken publicly about their split but both she and Eamonn have been seen still wearing their wedding rings.

Denise Welch slams ‘total insanity’ after her event is cancelled over Queen’s death

Denise Welch has slammed the government’s decision to cancel all events – including charity events – in the lead up to the Queen’s state funeral next Monday

Loose Women star Denise Welch has hit out after an event she was involved in was cancelled after the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

The TV star, 64, took to Twitter to rant about the UK’s decision to cancel and postpone all events following the death of the nation’s longest-running monarch on September 8.

Denise made it clear that she was fully against the idea that the world had to stop following the death of Queen Elizabeth, as the nation – and the world – continue to mourn her death at 96.

King Charles has approved an order to make next Monday a bank holiday in light of the late Queen’s state funeral.

Public and private events alike, including music concerts, have also been postponed in respect for the Queen and the extended Royal family – but Denise isn’t entirely on board with the idea.

Although the Loose Women star paid her respects to the Queen, calling her a ‘lady’ following her death, Denise has hit out at the ‘total insanity’ of the proceedings leading up to Her Majesty’s funeral.

Denise described the cancellations of all events as ‘total insanity’, and her opinion on the matter most definitely sparked some debates on Twitter.

The TV star sparked chaos when she tweeted: “My friend has been forced to cancel a small charity event I was involved in raising money for people struggling to feed their families in Manchester. Many months of preparation,” she explained.

“This is total insanity after the suffering of the last few years and I adored the Queen!!”

One follower agreed: “Charity events should NOT be cancelled for this. The Queen would have wanted people to raise these vital funds.”

“It’s one day, people should pay their respects,” another disagreed.

“I see why you’re mad but come on, she’s the Queen. Let her have her day,” someone else insisted.

Meanwhile, a fourth fumed: “Leaving people hungry in Manchester for the funeral of a 96-year-old woman? Nah.”

The Queen passed away on Thursday September 8
It comes after Denise hit out again last week after it was announced that all charity events would also be cancelled following the Queen’s death.

“Why on earth would cancelling the Great North Run be in memory of the Queen,” she tweeted.

“Imagine how many charities will suffer as a result? The Queen would NEVER want these events cancelled at this financially crippling time in peoples lives!!”

“Instead of cancelling events that take a year of blood, sweat and tears to organise, we should be celebrating the Queens AMAZING life & legacy AT these events!!!! Stop cancelling things.”

Earlier this week, the King was given a day off for a private day of reflection.

In the detailed planning for the aftermath of the Queen’s death – known as “London Bridge” – a day was set aside at this point for the new monarch to have some time away from public duties.

The period allowed the King to pause, but it is understood he was working in preparation for his new role and received his red boxes of state papers.

The new monarch led the royal family in a public display of homage to the late Queen by walking behind her coffin with his siblings, sons and other relatives as it was carried into Westminster Hall, where it will lie in state until the state funeral on Monday.

Coleen Nolan reacts to ex Shane Richie’s EastEnders return as she complains over storyline

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan complained about the storyline for her ex-husband Shane Richie on EastEnders as he made his return as Alfie Moon to win Kat Slater back

Coleen Nolan expressed her disappointment over Shane Richie’s EastEnders storyline as her ex made his return to the BBC One soap.

The Loose Women panellist discussed her former husband’s stint on the show during today’s episode of the ITV lunchtime programme, where she was joined by anchor Charlene White and panellists Katie Piper and Dame Kelly Holmes. As they chatted about her ex Shane’s return to the soap as Alfie Moon, Coleen lamented over the storyline.

Alfie made his return last week as Kat Slater and Phil Mitchell prepared to tie the knot, telling her she couldn’t go through with it. He vowed to stick around and win her back, as he promised he’d show her she was making the wrong decision.

As they discussed the storyline on today’s episode of Loose Women, Coleen shared her thoughts on his return.

Fellow panellist Katie Piper asked Coleen: “Don’t you think Kat and Phil make a great couple?” but she was quick to disagree and made her feelings very clear and ranted: “No! No I’m sorry, it’s ridiculous. You would not pick Phil over Alfie. Absolutely [speaking from past experience]. Kat and Alfie just go together; they’ve been together for years. Phil’s just always miserable.”

“Well he’s not anymore now he’s got Kat,” Katie chimed in but Coleen laughed off the comment.

It comes after Shane described it as an “honour” to be returning to the show.

Of his return, he said: “It’s an absolute honour and privilege to be asked back to my TV home of Albert Square. I’m looking forward to catching up with some old cast mates and meeting some new ones. The new exec producer Chris Clenshaw has been instrumental in wanting to bring Alfie Moon back with some wonderful storylines… and who am I to say no?! I can’t wait.”

Chris Clenshaw described Alfie as one of the “most iconic, loveable and most memorable characters in soap”.

“Shane Richie created one of the most iconic, loveable and most memorable characters in soap, and to welcome him back to Walford is an absolute pleasure. A lot’s happened since Alfie’s been away from the Square but wherever his floral shirts go you can expect fun, frolics and, of course, the odd porky-pie. We’re over the moon to have him home,” he added.

Queen Camilla’s in Big TROUBLE Now by Anne ,Catherine Bold Move

    Ads

The British royal family has seen increasing tensions emerge in recent years, with hidden divisions threatening to destabilize the monarchy’s unified public image. At the center of these dynamics is Catherine, Princess of Wales, who through her combination of grace, diplomacy, and quiet influence behind the scenes has emerged as a stabilizing force within the family. However, new developments suggest Catherine’s role may be evolving into something more assertive as she helps guide the monarchy’s future direction alongside her husband, Prince William.

    Ads

At the root of the current tensions lies Queen Camilla’s transition from Duchess of Cornwall to Queen Consort. While officially accepted, Camilla’s ascension has ruffled feathers amongst those protective of Princess Diana’s legacy, including Catherine. As both future Queen and loyal partner to William and mother of his children, Catherine is acutely aware of how Camilla’s role is perceived publicly. Her preference has long been for a modernized monarchy focused on transparency, reduced costs, and community service over personal ambition—a vision that contrasts with Camilla’s growing authority behind closed doors.

    Ads

While Catherine maintains an outwardly harmonious relationship with Camilla, insiders indicate recent shifts have caused private strains. It is believed Catherine finds problematic Camilla’s larger-than-expected influence given Diana’s importance to the royal narrative. As an advocate of William’s strategic plans for reform, Catherine views Camilla’s elevated role as potentially distracting from their modernization goals. To Catherine, Diana’s memory remains very important, deepening her loyalty to both William and Diana’s vision for the future monarchy.

Catherine’s usual diplomatic approach seems to be hardening in response. She has taken a more assertive role in family discussions, particularly around core values and direction. Her alignment with the traditionally-minded Princess Anne has isolated Camilla further, despite Catherine’s continued focus on duty. While open confrontation appears unlikely, Catherine’s subtle yet firm disagreement speaks volumes. For perhaps the first time, she seems compelled to move outside reticent norms in support of principles she holds dear.

    Ads

Adding complexity, these tensions emerge as Catherine’s popularity exceeds all bar her husband. Polls show the public’s admiration for her modern yet relatable image, grounded nature, and emphasis on mental health, children and the environment. In contrast, acceptance of Camilla’s role remains mixed, with reservations over how her presence affects the crown’s dynamic post-Diana. This disparity strengthens Catherine’s unofficial position, giving weight to values she advocates for William and their vision of an accessible, effective system.

    Ads

Catherine’s influence has grown immensely through strategic alliance-building and devoted service. Her bond with the equally dedicated Princess Anne provides reliable traditionalist support. Maintaining close family relationships like with Prince Harry despite difficulties also fortifies her standing. By nurturing ties, she bolsters unity during uncertain periods and ensures preservation of key standards she and William uphold. This behind-the-scenes diplomacy complements Catherine’s public popularity and secures her ability to guide change.

As a devoted mother and partner, Catherine makes the future monarchy’s wellbeing her priority. She is raising her children, including heir to the throne Prince George, with a balanced upbringing exposing them to challenges outside the palace to foster relatability as future rulers. This long-term approach echoes her partnership with William, which emphasizes collaboration over individual roles—a model strengthening their impact. Together they lay foundations for a reign demonstrating empathy, accessibility and social advocacy.

    Ads

Catherine is also preparing for further visible leadership duties supporting William. This may involve international representation, policy influence on issues she spearheads, and a share of his growing responsibilities ahead of kingship. Her communication abilities make her well-suited to such a purpose, serving as a monarchial bridge to audiences worldwide. If handled with Catherine’s characteristic care, this expanded public role could boost appreciation for the crown on a global scale.

While maintaining harmony, Catherine subtly exercises growing authority to defend critical standards from potential departures. Royal watchers predict this active protection of Diana’s memory and principles she cherishes most deeply may be a harbinger of a less accommodating future approach, should further shifts challenge the family’s fabric. However, confrontation remains unlikely her means of fostering change. Catherine leads strategically through consensus-building, setting an example of mature strength which maintains institutional solidarity during transition.

    Ads

As queen-in-waiting, Catherine proves herself adept at navigating intricate dynamics with resilience and vision. If able to find common ground with Camilla, she could guide a smooth transition of power. But her true impact may be establishing a precedent that future generations emulate—a monarch focused on service, modern relevance and bringing people together. By balancing tradition with progress to strengthen foundations, Catherine indicates she will reshape the crown for today’s world with care and wisdom. For the British royal family, she represents an assurance of stability and a beacon of hope in challenging times.

  • 5 MINS AGO : Princess Kate In GRIEF As Brother James Middleton Is Announced MISSEN

5 MINS AGO : Princess Kate In GRIEF As Brother James Middleton Is Announced MISSEN

When we think of the British royal family, names like Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry often come to mind. However, one member of the family who has gained recognition in their own right for their work is James Middleton, the younger brother of Kate Middleton. While typically kept out of the royal spotlight, James has increasingly become vocal about important issues close to his heart – namely mental health advocacy and animal welfare.

Through candid discussions and utilizing his public platform, James has worked to destigmatize conversations around mental illness. He has been open about his own struggles with depression and the pivotal role that his dog, Ella, played in his recovery. In a recent interview, James shared the story of disappearing for a solo trip to the idyllic Lake District without his phone or means of communication. This caused significant panic among his family, including sister Kate, as they were unaware of his whereabouts. James acknowledged realizing how much distress he had unintentionally caused as they feared the worst.

This memory prompted self-reflection on James’ part. While he felt annoyed at the perceived intrusion on his autonomy, he came to understand the genuine worry his absence created. James was aware that in the past, his family believed he may have “gone away to pass away.” He regretted not recognizing how his mental health issues still caused lingering panic for loved ones. However, James also found the solitude and nature therapy of the trip transformative. It allowed him to rediscover purpose and slowly regain vibrancy in his life.

James’ transparency in recounting this experience helps break down stigmas. It shows that individuals and loved ones affected by mental illness are not alone and recovery is possible. His willingness to be candid encourages open discussion that challenges the notion one must cope in isolation or secrecy. Mental health advocacy has been a driving force for James, and leveraging his platform to normalize these conversations benefits many.

Animals, particularly dogs, have also played a therapeutic and inspirational role for James. He travelled the Lake District accompanied solely by his beloved canines, crediting them as “emotional anchors.” James’ close relationship with Ella helped save his life during dark periods and later inspired the launch of his dog food company, James and Ella.

This bond was further highlighted when a story of a lost dog, Sombra, profoundly impacted James. An owner named Ramon Alberto Perez from Argentina was informed during an Air France layover that Sombra had gone missing from cargo. As someone who frequently travels with dogs, James described this scenario as his “worst nightmare.” He took immediate action by sharing the petition on Instagram, urging followers to sign in support of reuniting Ramon and Sombra.

James’ emotional response revealed the depths of attachment between humans and pets. It also emphasized the risks pet owners fear regarding airline policies. Many worry cargo holds are unsafe and want greater transparency. By promoting the petition, James brought global attention to this incident and broader concerns. His advocacy here aims to prevent similar tragedies and ensure pets are handled with utmost responsibility and care, especially during travel.

For James, the story resonated so deeply not only because of his passion for dogs’ welfare, but also from personal experience relying on canine companions through tough times. His ongoing efforts champion the rights and wellbeing of animals. By leveraging his platform, James raises awareness and encourages positive change.

James continues growing both personally and professionally. He and his wife Eliza recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Enigo, cementing the next chapter of their family. James also finds fulfillment expanding his dog food business and building the brand alongside his son. Witnessing Enigo’s excitement during a promotional trip warmed James’ heart and reminded him of building the company’s success from the ground up.

As International Dog Day approaches, James Middleton’s advocacy is a reminder of both dogs’ special roles in our lives and the responsibilities we have towards their happiness and safety. His transparency discussing mental health, authentic love for animals, and dedication to important causes, make him a voice championing important issues for both people and pets. With consistent use of his public profile, James Middleton continues empowering positive change.

GET LOST! Meghan LASHES IN ANGER As She Gets REMOVED From Vogue Magazine Cover: P:r:ostitute Out

Meghan Markle has allegedly been featured from the cover of Vogue magazine and it’s caused mass uproar. The Duchess of Sussex at apparently been lined up for a high-profile cover feature, but in a shock last-minute move she was reportedly scrapped from the issue. Meghan was said to be ‘livid’ when she heard the news of this shock move and a source is quoted as saying Meghan had reportedly ‘lashed out in anger.

Speculations suggest the move was prompted by a backlash and public slam campaign against the former royal. Meghan has always been a divisive figure, but this latest drama feels like it has cut deeper than before. According to close confidantes, she felt humiliated and betrayed by the sudden change, especially as she had already begun working on the project with the publication.

What makes the situation even more scandalous are the whispers that Meghan’s removal was connected to growing criticism of her lifestyle and public image. Online trolls have intensified their attacks, with some harshly labeling her as a “prostitute out” in cruel social media posts.
