Meghan Markle turned heads when she stepped out with Prince Harry in Whistler, Canada – and many believed that her ‘white’ outfit was a ‘secret message’ to Princess Kate

Meghan Markle sent a message to Princess Kate with her choice of outfit as she stepped out in Whistler with Prince Harry for an Invictus Games event.

The Sussexes visited Canada in February 2024 – just two months after Kate had hosted her annual Together at Christmas event. For the festive gathering, the Princess dazzled in an all-white ensemble; a calf-grazing white coat over a white crew neck sweater, teamed with a pair of high-waisted white trousers.

Comparisons were quickly made when Meghan opted for her own ‘white’ outfit at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025’s One Year to Go celebrations. Her snowy look included a £235 Calvin Klein puffer coat, £190 Sorel Joan of Arctic snow boots and a £360 Burberry cashmere Pom Pom beanie.

Fashion editor Amber Graafland told Fabulous that Meghan’s outfit colour choice could have sent some hidden signs. She said: “Giving a masterclass in ski chic Meghan opted for a snow bunny theme in white skinny jeans, a cropped £537 cashmere sweater and a tonal Calvin KIein coat. Adept at using her clothing to convey deeper meanings, Meghan’s deployment of angelic white could of course have a much deeper meaning. White symbolises purity, innocence, and neutrality.

“It also represents new beginnings, which could indicate a willingness to leave the controversy of the past few days behind and move on with her newly defined role.”

The start of 2024 saw Meghan and Harry embark on a rebrand, which included the launch of a new website, Sussex.com to replace their Archewell.com website. But the couple quickly came under fire with critics claming the couple were cashing in on their royal links despite having quit as working royals.

The revamped site declares itself ‘The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’, and it also links to their former sussexroyal.com website – even though they agreed to stop using the ‘Sussex Royal’ title in 2020 when they stepped down.

Royal expert Angela Levin said it was “pathetic” the couple were using the royal coat of arms. She told The Sun newspaper: “They are cashing in on their royal connections that they say they hate so much. Queen Elizabeth II would be furious because they promised they wouldn’t do that. They should be stopped from using a title that they spent years insulting.”

Under the terms of an agreement struck with the Palace, Harry and Meghan can use Duke and Duchess titles but cannot use HRH in their commercial endeavours.

Critics also noted that, despite using their titles and the royal coat of arms, Harry and Meghan make no mention of the royal family on their website.

Prince Harry is described on the site as a “humanitarian, military veteran, mental health advocate, and environmental campaigner”. His biographical profile also states that he has “dedicated his adult life to advancing causes that he is passionate about and that advance permanent change for people and places.”

Other than stating Prince Harry “lives in California with his wife Meghan, and their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet” the profile does not make a single reference to his family.

Meanwhile, the Duchess’s biography states that she is a “feminist and champion of human rights and gender equity”. It adds: “Her lifelong advocacy for women and girls remains a constant thread in her humanitarian and business ventures.

“In 2018, Meghan married Prince Harry, becoming the Duchess of Sussex. She has written for a number of publications and created the lifestyle website, ‘The Tig’. The Duchess of Sussex guest edited British Vogue in July 2019, which was the fastest-selling copy in the magazine’s history.”

Prince Harry shows his true colours with never-before-seen gesture on solo trip

Prince Harry is currently in Southern Africa after travelling from London to Lesotho for a string of engagements with his beloved charity Sentebale – and one expert believes he made a very telling gesture during a welcome event

Prince Harry’s unusual ‘karate chop’ gesture hinted at his true feelings about being on a solo trip to Africa, according to an expert.

After a fleeting visit to the UK, the Duke of Sussex kicked off a visit to Lesotho by joining a chat around a bonfire as he reunited with his close friend and Sentebale charity co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, who described the duke as “my younger brother Mohale, the warrior”.

Princess Senate Seeiso, the niece of Prince Seeiso, shared footage in her Instagram stories of Harry speaking passionately about the charity, which supports young people with HIV/AIDs as he perched on a chair by a fire during the night-time gathering.

Harry, in a puffer jacket and dark trousers, described how “stigma is being broken down in this country and also in Botswana”. And body language expert Darren Stanton says it was during this chat that Harry performed the never-before-seen gesture.

He explained: “When we saw Harry sitting by the bonfire speaking about his charity, you could instantly tell how comfortable he felt speaking about what he’s most passionate about. We saw him making a specific hand gesture during his conversation – which we hadn’t seen before.

“We saw him do a karate chop movement, which suggests he felt completely in control and nothing could get in the way of that. His levels of confidence were through the roof, and we have never seen him appear to be so certain of himself. Harry has come on from leaps and bounds in terms of believing in himself and his confidence in what he can achieve independently without reassurance.”

Harry made the solo journey to the tiny mountain kingdom in southern Africa after his brief visit to the UK for the WellChild awards on Monday. Harry’s Sussex.com website recounted the trip under the headline “Lesotho Welcomes Harry Home” and said it “rekindled cherished connections from his childhood”.

Darren, speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, added: ” Prince Harry appeared to be on top form during this visit. He spoke with a number of people, and when he did, he leaned in close towards them, showing signs of active listening and giving them his full attention. On one occasion, he purposely lowered himself, which is significant. This means he wanted to show them he respects them and wants to connect with them on a deeper level.

“Harry was also tactile when conversing in many of his one-on-one conversations. He was seen touching their arms while looking directly into their eyeline, which are both examples of him fully engaging and connecting in that moment. Harry had a natural ease and confidence when meeting and speaking with people he never met before.”

Harry spent two months in the kingdom of Lesotho during his gap year when he was 19 in 2004, which inspired him to establish the Sentebale charity two years later, which now also works in Botswana. He came face-to-face with Aids orphans, met other traumatised young people and visited herd boys living a harsh existence looking after cattle in remote mountain areas.

It is his first visit to the country in five years, with his last taking place in 2019, the year he married Meghan Markle. Harry is also due to travel to Johannesburg in South Africa, and take part in a reception with South Africa-based stakeholders and strategic partner Lebec, a women-led finance and philanthropy firm.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a year for the Firm – from dozens of royal engagements to King Charles and Princess Kate announcing their cancer battles.

But alongside all of that, the Royal Family has been dodging bombs lobbed at them by Meghan and Harry.

The Sussexes have now been accused of launching unfair attacks on the Royal Family, while cashing in on their ties to the Firm.

And it’s those factors that royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams says has ruined Charles first year as king.

He said the Sussexes being evicted from Frogmore Cottage saw them retaliate.

Richard told The Sun: “The facts simply are with Harry and Megan that after Spare enough was enough so he had them evicted from Frogmore Cottage, and I don’t think they expected it.

“And they certainly didn’t like it.

“But the revelations in Spare, and not only the attacks on the Royal Family in that book and in the interviews surrounding it, which large numbers of people, watched, of course that Harry was responsible for, and it was his memoir.”

The expert said that while Spare had been released the year prior, the wake of it was still having an impact on the king’s reign.

Richard continued: “Spare was so badly planned you felt that he’d not had advice, but to attack Queen Camilla was clearly a red line, as was pointed out by the press that he’s so hostile to.
Prince Harry and King Charles set to meet for second time since monarch’s cancer diagnosis as exact date for reunion is revealed
“Therefore it was important that the King acted as he did.”

Richard also accused Harry and Meghan of “monetising on their links to the Royal Family”.

He added: “There’s no doubt that evicting the Sussexes from their domicile in the UK was something that showed immense royal displeasure.

“And, I think it was absolutely right to have done it.

“There’s also no doubt that the row with her with Omid Scobie later in the year and all of that was also very, very unhelpful.

“But what one’s not going to get now and the Sussex is they monetize their connections with the Royal Family.”

He added: “They will forever, it seems, be in the news and precisely how they behave and what they decide to do a matter for them obviously.”

    Harry and Meghan betrayals

    Oprah interview

Harry and Meghan’s explosive chat with Oprah Winfrey saw them make a series of bombshell revelations.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed no subject was “off limits” during the explosive chat in March 2021.

The interview unlocked a host of jaw-dropping remarks, racking up over 6,000 complaints from British viewers and even prompting a response from the Queen.

This included a claim that two royals allegedly questioned the colour of Prince Archie’s skin tone.

Meghan left jaws dropping after addressing her and Kate’s bridesmaid dress row after telling Oprah Kate made HER cry in the lead up to her wedding.

Meg told Oprah it had been difficult to see a “narrative that didn’t happen” surface after it was reported she left Kate in tears over her demands for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.

She instead told the chat show Queen: “The reverse happened.”

    Spare

There was more to come in Harry’s book, as he recalled an alleged altercation with his brother William which ended with him falling into a dog bowl.

He also revealed how William disapproved of Harry’s marriage to Meghan and once called her “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive.”

Harry’s father King Charles was also in the firing line for criticism. Harry laid into his father for not hugging him after the death of his mother, Diana, the late Princess of Wales, and claimed the King would often make jokes of “poor taste” about his paternity.

Kate, who Harry once hailed as the ‘sister I never had’, and stepmother Camilla were also not spared in the attack.

The Princess of Wales was accused of being cold towards her sister-in-law Meghan and claimed she was “disgusted” when Meghan asked to use her lipgloss.

He also partially blamed Kate and William for his decision to wear the controversial Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party in 2005, claiming they both “howled” when they saw him.

    Netflix show

Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries lobbed bombs at The Firm – seeing it torn apart by royal experts.

To the shock of many it told stories of Meghan’s “jarring” first meeting with Princess Kate and Harry making digs at his father.

But, despite the attention it drew, it didn’t even rank in the top 200 most-watched Netflix shows from January to June last year.

The doc was pulled to pieces for giving examples of “truths”, which didn’t seem to stand up to reality.

As the privacy-loving couple whined about their struggles in the final part of their Netflix docuseries, they glossed over some important details.

Also, in an apparent dig at his dad King Charles’ parenting, Harry claimed he was “brought up” by friends in Africa.

The Sun has approached the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace for comment.

Richard was speaking as it was revealed Harry and Charles are set to have another reunion.

The duke will be at St Paul’s Cathedral for an Invictus Games ceremony and is understood to be “very keen” to see his dad.

They chatted for 30 minutes in February — days after the King’s cancer diagnosis.

The King, 75, recently cleared to resume public duties as he is treated for cancer, is expected to attend the year’s first Buckingham Palace garden party from 4pm.

Both events will finish around 6pm, clearing the way for a first meeting since Harry’s whistle-stop trip in early February.

A royal source told The Sun: “Harry is normally 5,000 miles away in California but by happy coincidence on Wednesday they will be just two miles apart.

“It’s clear he is keen to see his father as he continues his recovery and most people expect another reunion of some kind next week.”

The potential meeting is unlikely to include Prince William, who has been stung by his brother’s attacks and has not spoken to him since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

The latest picture comes nearly a month after the Princess of Wales released a landmark cancer update in a sweet video of her, Prince William, and the rest of the Wales family

Kate Middleton has been pictured for the first time since she released an update on her cancer diagnosis.

The picture, shared on the Kensington Palace official social media channels, shows Princess Kate embracing an aspiring photographer who inspired Kate and Prince William. The photographer, 16-year-old Liz Hatton, has documented her progress working through a bucket list as she battles a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

A caption under one photo posted on X, formerly Twitter, states: “A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us.” Kate and William enlisted the teen’s talents to help document an investiture ceremony held at Windsor today, with photos of the event posted online.

The couple thanked the 16-year-old in another caption posted under a selection of the photos she took of the ceremony that were posted on Instagram. The caption reads: “Congratulations to everyone who received honours at Windsor today! It was a pleasure to have @lizhatton_photography helping us to capture these special moments.”

Liz, from Harrogate, was diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumors in January this year, with tumours discovered on both of her ovaries, her omentum tissue, and liver. The rare disease – of which there are only around 12 cases per year in England – is aggressive, and can leave people with just a matter of months to live.

Liz has been told she likely has between six months and three years to live, with the time frame dependant on the effectiveness of the chemotherapy she receives. She has focussed almost solely on photography in the months following her diagnosis, telling Digital Camera World that the craft has “become my focus in life”.

The teenager’s mum, Vicky, went viral on X, formerly Twitter, after she posted Liz’s bucket list, which includes:

Photograph the rehearsal of a major musical
Watch the filming of Would I Lie To You
Have photographs published in as many magazines as possible
Take photographs of the catwalk at London Fashion Week
Photograph circus performers practising their act
    Help film a movie
    Photograph a music festival
Take photos of the Christmas markets at Tivoli Gardens
Do a photo shoot with professional models
Take photos in a fashion shoot at a big fashion house

Among those receiving awards at today’s investiture were Ally McCoist, the Rangers and Scotland football legend who was made an OBE by Prince William, and cycling great Mark Cavendish, who was made a knight.

Whenever Prince William and Princess Kate step out, the eyes of the world are on them, with cameras and experts following their every move. As a result, the couple developed a secret method of communicating with each other whilst attending official engagements, according to an expert.

William and Kate first went public with their romance in 2004, and have faced intense scrutiny ever since. Now, married for more than decade and with three children, the couple previously relied on secret communication which allowed them to grow in confidence, according to body-language expert Darron Stanton.

He told Betfair Casino that while Kate has clearly relaxed into her royal role, it was a different story in the beginning. “Kate’s confidence has grown dramatically in recent years,” Stanton said. “When Kate was first introduced as a public figure, we would see her play with her hair a lot and look to William for support during joint interviews or events.

“We would see this from William too, as they both wanted reassurance from each other. There’s a sense they weren’t very confident early on and looking into each other’s eyes was their way of checking in with each other. They both wanted to feel at ease.”

Now, when Kate is out and about, she rarely shows any signs of nerves and hardly ever needs to look to William for reassurance, Stanton noted. “We get a sense she’s happy to be there and wants to prove she’s here to get on with her job. She has an inner strength and is very motivated to do the best she can. This is shown through holding her head high, being active in conversations and engaging in strong eye contact with people she’s never met before. Kate didn’t have this confidence previously, and the confidence she has is quite subtle.

“It’s not too overwhelming, and it’s clear her role comes naturally to her. Kate always has strong eye contact with anyone she’s communicating with and never comes across as slouched. She rarely crosses her arms either – and that is normally a giveaway of someone feeling out of place with a lack of confidence.”

There are other signs too, according to Stanton. “Kate’s voice tone and pitch are important too. In early interviews of Kate, her voice is quite low in volume and tone. Her voice is now a lot louder and higher in pitch, which suggests quite a change in her confidence. It’s a completely different Kate from before.

“Kate’s walking is a lot more confident, too. She doesn’t look down at all – she looks straight ahead with her shoulders back. It shows she isn’t intimidated by others and is in a good place with herself.”

  • MEGHAN RUINED the plan HARRY THOUGHT WAS PERFECT—HERE’S the SHOCKING REASON WHY

MEGHAN RUINED the plan HARRY THOUGHT WAS PERFECT—HERE’S the SHOCKING REASON WHY

Meghan Markle disrupted a carefully crafted plan that Prince Harry believed would solidify their future and enhance their public image.

Sources close to the couple have disclosed the shocking reasons behind Meghan’s unexpected actions, raising eyebrows about their ongoing struggle to navigate life outside the royal family.

    The Flawed Plan

According to insiders, Prince Harry had devised a strategic plan aimed at revitalizing their brand and strengthening their philanthropic efforts. This plan included a series of high-profile engagements, collaborations with notable charities, and a potential return to the UK for key royal events, signaling their desire to bridge the gap between their new life and royal responsibilities.

Harry believed that these steps would demonstrate their commitment to meaningful work while also appeasing critics who questioned their motives after stepping back from royal duties. However, Meghan’s sudden change of heart threw a wrench in Harry’s meticulously laid plans.

    Meghan’s Change of Heart

Reports suggest that Meghan became increasingly uncomfortable with the idea of returning to the UK for royal events. Her reservations stemmed from lingering tensions with the royal family and concerns about media scrutiny. Insiders reveal that Meghan expressed fears that such a move would undermine their independence and the narrative they had worked hard to establish in the United States.

“Meghan felt that going back to the UK for royal engagements could be a huge step backward, contradicting everything they had been building,” an insider shared. “She wanted to focus on their new life and the projects they were passionate about, rather than revisiting the past.”

    The Fallout

This disagreement reportedly led to tension between Harry and Meghan, with Harry feeling frustrated that Meghan had derailed what he viewed as a crucial opportunity for both of them. “Harry believed this was their chance to show they could be successful and impactful outside the royal family,” the source revealed. “Meghan’s resistance left him feeling unsupported.”

The fallout from this situation has added to the ongoing narrative of conflict within their relationship as they strive to find a balance between their personal aspirations and their public responsibilities. Friends of the couple have indicated that this incident has sparked conversations about how they can effectively work together moving forward.

  • KIng Charles Reveals Shocking Truth About Camilla and Diana—Bringing William to Tears

KIng Charles Reveals Shocking Truth About Camilla and Diana—Bringing William to Tears

King Charles III has reportedly opened up about the complex history between his late ex-wife, Princess Diana, and his current wife, Queen Camilla. According to insiders, this candid confession has brought Prince William to tears, as the long-held secrets surrounding his parents’ tumultuous relationship come to light.

    A Shocking Confession

During a private family gathering, King Charles is said to have shared intimate details about the challenges he faced during his marriage to Princess Diana, as well as the role Camilla played in his life throughout those years. Sources close to the family reveal that Charles, now reflecting on his past, felt compelled to speak openly about the emotional toll his relationships with both women took on him and the family.

“Charles admitted that his love for Camilla was something he could never fully suppress, even during his marriage to Diana,” an insider disclosed. “It was heartbreaking for William to hear, as it brought up painful memories of his mother’s struggles and the impact it had on him and Harry growing up.”

    William’s Emotional Reaction

The revelation reportedly left Prince William deeply affected. Known for his loyalty to his mother’s legacy, William has often been caught between his feelings toward Diana and his relationship with Camilla. Hearing his father’s raw account of the situation reportedly brought tears to William’s eyes, as he grappled with the emotional weight of his parents’ complicated past.

“William has always had a special bond with Diana, and this conversation reopened old wounds for him,” a royal insider shared. “It’s difficult for him to reconcile the love he had for his mother with the reality of his father’s relationship with Camilla.”

    Camilla’s Role

According to sources, Camilla was present during the emotional discussion and addressed her own role in the breakdown of Charles and Diana’s marriage. Camilla reportedly expressed regret over the pain caused, acknowledging the difficult position both she and Diana were in. “Camilla understands the depth of emotion surrounding this topic, and she didn’t shy away from admitting her part in the past,” the insider added.

    A New Chapter of Healing?

As the royal family continues to navigate the complexities of their history, this revelation could mark a turning point in their relationships. King Charles’s willingness to speak openly about such sensitive issues may pave the way for healing, particularly for William, who has long been protective of his mother’s memory.

However, it’s clear that the scars of the past are still fresh. While Charles and Camilla have found peace in their marriage, the emotional aftermath of Diana’s life and legacy continues to resonate deeply within the royal family.

    Public Response

The public has long been invested in the love triangle between Charles, Diana, and Camilla, and this new revelation has reignited interest in the royal family’s personal history. Social media has been flooded with reactions, with many expressing sympathy for William and his struggle to come to terms with the truth. “I can’t imagine how hard it must be for William to hear this,” one Twitter user commented. “He’s always been such a devoted son to Diana.”

They said: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

The prince has jetted all the way from California for a service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games.

He was said to be “in good spirits” during the summit, according to other guests.

He made a 10-minute speech to around 100 people inside the historic Armoury House.

Colombian powerlifter Victor Vera, 37, told the Sun: “He seemed to be very happy to be there.

“There was no talk about King Charles or the royals. He kept it strictly about the games which is what everyone was here for really.

“He was in good spirits – it was a light-hearted event”.

He was then pictured smiling as he left the Honourable Artillery Company shortly after 6pm.

Harry and Charles last reunited at Clarence House in February for their first face-to-face meeting in 16 months.

The prince flew to the UK alone without Meghan or their children Archie and Lilibet.

But Meghan will join Harry on his visit to Nigeria later this week, it’s understood.

It’s understood Harry will not see his brother Prince William – but had been “keen” to see his dad while visiting.

Charles, 75, resumed public duties last week for the first time since beginning cancer treatment.

He is now expected to attend the year’s first Buckingham Palace garden party.

William has been stung by his brother’s attacks and has not spoken to Harry since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

Harry launched the Invictus Games in 2014 as a sports contest for injured military veterans.

At the gathering today he paid tribute to competitors’ “commitment, enthusiasm and belief”.

In the programme for the summit, he writes: “It has been an honour to watch the Invictus Games Foundation grow over the years.

“It began as a vision to pay tribute to the courage and resilience of wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans.

“It has now flourished into an international organisation built on hope, strength, and unity.”

It comes as Wills is today set to award the mum of one of Harry’s pals an MBE.

Henry van Straubenzee died in a car crash in 2002 – he had been the duke’s best pal at school.

Wills is now set to today honour Claire van Straubenzee at Windsor Castle in recognition of services to children’s education in Uganda.

Henry, known as Henners, was killed in a car crash near Ludgrove Prep school in Berkshire, where he was working during his gap year.

Prince Harry wrote affectionately of Henry in his memoir Spare.

A meeting unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

The duke said: “Skinny, with no muscles, and hair that stood up in permanent surrender, Henners was all heart.

    “Whenever he smiled, people melted.”

The Duke said he was the only boy who asked him about his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, after she was killed.

In 2007, Claire and her family set up the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund to support children in Uganda.

It was initially at the school where Henry had been due to teach before his tragic death.

Harry & the King can’t play happy families with such huge public attention, says The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson

    By Matt Wilkinson, Royal Editor

Prince Harry is in London but he won’t meet his father The King.

The Duke of Sussex arrived from LA alone without Meghan or their children for a busy diary of events marking 10 years of his Invictus Games.

Before setting off from California it is understood Harry was said to have been “keen’ to see the King for only the second time since his cancer diagnosis.

It is rather telling that confirmation there will be no meeting has come from the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rather than Buckingham Palace.

His team say “it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program”.

They add: “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Now, the word that jumps out is “priorities”.

The King, we understand, is busy as he returns to public duty.

For instance, on Tuesday while Harry was in London the King was carrying out his constitutional duty and meeting the Prime Minister of Fiji at the palace.

He is also set to host a palace garden party and weekly audience with the Prime Minister on Wednesday.

And Harry’s diary is packed full for three days with Invictus. However, they will be at times just two miles apart and risk even driving past each other on London’s roads.

Some observers may see this as “sad” that father and son cannot find time.

Others may say that it’s understandable as both have work commitments and “priorities”.

But maybe there has just been too much water under the bridge for father and son to play happy families amid such huge public attention.
