Princess Diana left behind a legacy that continues to be felt more than 27 years after her tragic death on Aug. 31, 1997.

The late Princess of Wales is widely hailed for her revolutionary humanitarian work during her lifetime, which included helping to change the stigma around HIV and AIDS, opening the conversation surrounding mental health and eating disorders, advocating for the homeless and working for the removal of landmines. The Diana Award, the only charity to bear Princess Diana’s name, now honors young philanthropists who continue to carry on her spirit of giving in the world.

In addition to Princess Diana’s charitable efforts, her spirit is also kept alive through her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. The brothers have both spoken about how even though she’s not physically here, “Granny Diana” is still a strong presence in the lives of their children: William’s sons, Prince George and Prince Louis, and daughter, Princess Charlotte, and Harry’s son, Prince Archie, and daughter, Princess Lilibet.

“I see my mum’s legacy when I look at my own children every day,” Prince Harry told Diana Award recipients in 2021.

Prince William shared a similar sentiment in the 2017 documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy: “It’s important that they know who she was and that she existed.”

Former captain DeAndre Yedlin became a victim in Inter Miami’s power struggle, where David Beckham was willing to use him as a bargaining chip to secure advantageous deals for his team (video)

The ambition of Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham to establish the Herons into a world power is already established and he has shown he is not afraid to make some tough calls

Former Premier League star DeAndre Yedlin has fallen victim to David Beckham’s unbridled ambition at Inter Miami as he faces being traded to FC Cincinnati.

The right-back represented a major coup for the Herons when he was signed by then-head coach Phil Neville back in February 2022 as a free agent from Galatasaray.

After eight years in Europe which took him to such climbs as Tottenham and Newcastle, he was described as ‘almost a DP signing’ by his new boss as he put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

However, just two seasons into that agreement, the 81-time US international is set to make the move to Ohio as the Herons look to move on without him.

In the interim period since he was signed, superstars such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have been lured to Chase Stadium, with the franchise now happy to let Yedlin move to a MLS rival.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, a trade which will see the 30-year-old depart Vice City is now being thrashed out, with the deal set to be agreed imminently. Although the exact details are yet to be ‘finalized’, the report contends that Miami can expect to earn $172,000 of General Allocation Money.

No players will be going the other way to Florida, with Yedlin expected to instead effectively replace the departed Santiago Arias in Cincinnati. Meanwhile, Miami will see $683,000 freed up from their current salary cap, leaving some $855,000 to use for potential reinforcements moving forward..

Yedlin earned $873,750 via his guaranteed salary at the Sunshine State outfit in 2023, making 40 appearances in total as Miami won silverware for the first time. Aside from contributing to their Leagues Cup success last term, he made 80 outings for the club in total across his spell. He was also the team’s captain prior to Messi’s arrival, such was his standing in the team.

The decision to part company with the defender does come as something as a surprise, with Yedlin having also appeared twice in the club’s opening MLS fixtures so far in 2024. Moreover, head coach Tata Martino earmarked the full-back as a standout performer in their 5-0 demolition of Orlando City this weekend.

This decision also comes after sporting director Chris Henderson also spoke in glowing terms about the former Premier League defender’s qualities, who previously alluded to Yedlin having been signed on his brother’s recommendation. He said: “I remember my brother Sean said to me, ‘You’ve got to come look at this kid that I have’.

“I just remember how quick he was and aggressive and brave. He had this energy. When you’re watching him play, your eyes are drawn to him. There are certain players you notice right away. He’s got personality and flash. Beyond his speed and bravery, DeAndre’s a winner and cultivates a culture you want on your team.”

Meanwhile, he earned national recognition for his reliability with USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter having previously praised the full-back as a ‘glue guy’ in the dressing room. Earmarking Yedlin as a standard-bearer, he explained: “He creates atmosphere for the team. Sometimes he’s a shoulder to cry on or talk to, other times he’s a motivator.”

Rumours of David Beckham’s alleged infidelity plagued the early years of his romance with Victoria – but author Tom Bower claims their marriage also hit crisis point later down the line.

He explores their marriage in his new book The House of Beckham, serialised by the Mirror

The world has followed the highs and lows of Posh and Becks since they laid eyes on each other in 1997.

The showbiz power couple, who have been married for over 25 years, met when David Beckham was playing for Manchester United and Victoria was a Spice Girls singer.

In 2023, a four-part Netflix show titled Beckham gave fans fresh insight into their love story – and surprisingly covered the rumours of David’s alleged infidelity.

Despite being rocked by Rebecca Loos’ claims of an affair with the footballer, Victoria stood by David’s side and they seemingly worked through their issues.

But, according to author Tom Bower’s explosive new book, The House of Beckham, their marriage hit crisis point again later down the line.

The writer claims David and Victoria lived separate lives in 2016, with the former England star even allegedly accusing his wife and her publicist of “waging a media war” against him. According to the book, the couple were so estranged they barely spoke and instead just maintained a “distant business relationship”.

“Although the Beckhams could not hide their separate lives, they stuck together to support the Brand,” Bower claims. His book paints a vastly different picture to that of the Netflix documentary, which was exec-produced by the family. While the pair alluded to the marriage problems in the wake of Loos’ allegations, more recent woes were ignored.

Here, the Mirror takes a look at the cheating allegations against Beckham over the years, from Sarah Marbeck to Danielle Heath.

    Kissing rumours

Back when Posh and Becks first got together, David was accused of cheating with another woman while Victoria was on tour and pregnant with her first son, Brooklyn. In her 2001 autobiography Learning To Fly, Posh Spice reveals that she saw red when the England footballer called her to say he’d been accused of kissing someone else.

When they next saw each other, Victoria describes how she “went straight up to him and just swung at him, punched him”. “I hadn’t planned it. I hadn’t punched anybody before. Just instinct,” she wrote. “I just felt angry and hurt.” They fled to Lake Como in Italy to work things out, and Victoria decided to believe David and married him four months after Brooklyn’s birth on July 4, 1999.

    Rebecca Loos

Five years into their marriage, accusations of David’s infidelity emerged when he was rumoured to have had an affair with his assistant, Rebecca Loos. In 2004, she spoke out about the alleged affair with David in newspapers and had numerous television appearances. “I would always say to myself, ‘Don’t risk your job’ and I knew there was a huge risk involved if I got involved with this man,” she told Sky News.

She claimed they first slept together after they “connected” on a night out with friends, and said they had been sexting up until two weeks before the story came out. Speaking about the Beckhams, she said: “I really hope that they get through it. I think the problems were in their marriage long before I came into the picture.”

But David strongly denied any romantic involvement with his PA. In a statement at the time, he said: “During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. What appeared this morning is just one further example. The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts.”

When the couple addressed the scandal in the Netflix documentary, it was clear it had a huge impact on their union. Victoria was asked by the director if it was the hardest time in their marriage. She said: “100 percent. It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us. And here’s the thing; we were against each other, if I’m being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else.

“But we were together. We were connected. We had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel that we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me.”

Rebecca, who had been happily living her life away from the limelight before it aired, said she tried to ignore the affair being brought back into the spotlight again but found it impossible. In an interview with Good Morning Britain she claimed the documentary was misleading as it left out details. “It just really bothered me, how he’s played, how we play the narrative and how misleading it is and how it’s making me look like a bad person. And of course, I am also guilty. It takes two to tango,” she said.

She also claimed that David had never actually refuted the affair and highlighted his use of the word ludicrous as a way of avoiding a straight denial. “He’s never denied it. He has said that my claims are ludicrous. Ludicrous is not denying – ludicrous can be truth. It is a term used by lawyers to give to their clients. When they don’t want to admit to the truth. They say use the word ludicrous. It will deflect attention, but almost never denied it,” she said.

    Sarah Marbeck

Another woman went on to claim she had an affair with David in 2004. Sarah Marbeck alleged she had exchanged sexually explicit texts with the Real Madrid star for up to two years and slept with him in a hotel in Singapore, when David was on tour. But the married superstar called the story “absurd and unsubstantiated” and Victoria told The Sun at the time: “We have been through a lot worse than this, and we’re definitely going to get through this.”

    Danielle Heath

That same year, beauty salon owner Danielle Heath also claimed she’d had an affair with David at his home in Madrid. She said they performed sexual acts on each other and told the Sunday Mirror: “David was very affectionate. He loved to kiss and cuddle me and loved it when I did the same to him. It was like he was starved of affection.”

The footballer categorically denied Danielle’s story and a statement by the Beckhams read: “We are sick and tired of people trying to make money at the expense of our family. It is even more distressing when we are expecting our third child soon. The allegations are completely and totally untrue and the matters are now in the hands of our lawyer.” It has been reported David did not sue and the couple came out of it stronger than ever.

    Irma Nici

In 2010, the Beckhams threatened legal action against In Touch magazine and a prostitute named Irma Nici, who sold a story claiming David had paid her for sex multiple times. The footballer said at the time: “I have never met Nici, let alone committed adultery with Nici or paid for sex. Irma Nici’s statements have caused me and my family great anguish and emotional distress, and have adversely affected both my personal and professional life.”

A spokesperson for the Beckhams said: “Sadly, we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it.” In 2011, a US federal judge in Los Angeles dismissed David’s claim for libel and slander.

    Katherine Jenkins

Two years later, David was again faced with cheating allegations when rumours emerged on social media accusing him of having an affair with Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins. Katherine took to Twitter to deny the affair, writing: “Dear Twitter friends, I’ve read some horrible rumours on here and want you to know I absolutely deny I’ve had an affair with David Beckham. Just so we are clear I have never been on my own with him and never arranged to meet up. We were out in a group of friends and it was just a normal fun evening.”

A source told Look magazine: “Victoria and David have been through a lot and love each other. There’s no way she’d let the family get dragged into a Twitter soap opera. The rumours are not true, but that doesn’t stop them being hurtful.” David did not speak out about the allegations himself.

Nicola Peltz opened up about Victoria’s ruthless demands on her marriage with Brooklyn: “She didn’t want us to have children for the first 5 years” (video)

Welcome to Chippendales actress Nicola Peltz opened up to Cosmopolitan magazine about life with her husband Brooklyn Beckham and famous mother-in-law Victoria Beckham.

The actress and model appears on the cover of the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, once again addressing the rumored conflict with her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham.

In short, Nicola Peltz affirmed that she did not understand why the rumors appeared.

“I’ve said this many times: there is no contradiction. It’s strange that the truth is expressed completely wrong,” said Nicola (28 years old).

Rumors about the conflict stemmed from Nicola’s refusal to wear a wedding dress designed by Victoria Beckham for her wedding with Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022.

However, the actress has repeatedly stated that there is no drama surrounding this choice.

Nicola told Variety last summer that her choice to wear a Valentino dress came down to logistics.

“I was planning on wearing my mother’s wedding dress and really wanted to, but a few months later, she realized that the sewing factory couldn’t make it in time, so I had to choose another dress. But she didn’t say I couldn’t wear it. I also never said I didn’t want to wear the wedding dress my mother designed. It all started and then there were rumors,” she told Variety in a story about her husband – Brooklyn (24 years old).

Brooklyn further expressed his thoughts on how a series of rumors quickly spread: “I know that the press will always try to write things like that because they want to bring someone down. But everyone in the family gets along well.” together, that’s really good.”

Just a month later, Nicola said in another interview that she would “love” to wear the VB wedding dress but couldn’t.

Nicola Peltz revealed to Grazia magazine: “I was planning on wearing Victoria Beckham’s wedding dress and was really excited to be able to wear the design that my future mother-in-law created. I think it’s a beautiful story.” .

Nicola shared that her friend, stylist Leslie Fremar, and her mother Claudia worked with the bride-to-be to design the Victoria Beckham dress that she was so excited about.

“I thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be fun. One of my best friends and my mom connected to start designing the dress’. Then a few days went by and I didn’t get any notification.” What do you believe?” Victoria Beckham called my mother and said her workshop couldn’t do it. So I talked to my mom and Leslie: ‘Unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’. I have been a fan of Valentino and its high-end fashion for a long time. I was lucky to be able to go to this fashion house to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.”

She also told Grazia that the Beckham family are “amazing” and that no one has “bad blood”.

Nicola showed her affection for Victoria Beckham just a few weeks ago when she joined her husband to support her mother at Paris Fashion Week, France. After Victoria Beckham posted a family photo including Nicola supporting her on Instagram, the model commented with a sweet message under the post. “A beautiful show! We love you mom!”, Nicola wrote.

Although Nicola Peltz confirmed that there are no conflicts in the family, she is still the subject of discussion about her personal life. She declared to Cosmopolitan that she never wanted stories about her and Brooklyn to appear in the newspaper, but sometimes appeared on social networks. Nicola says she receives comments on the Internet poking fun at every aspect of her life.

“I feel like all the mean words that people heard in high school ended up on Instagram,” she said.

Nicola did not mention the lawsuit her father Nelson Peltz is settling with her former wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba.

The lawsuit involves Nelson and the wedding planners, after the billionaire filed a lawsuit against Braghin, Grijalba to try to get back a $159,000 deposit after saying they failed to follow the planned process. plan.

Braghin and Grijalba also filed suit, citing breach of contract, naming Nicola and her mother, Claudia, as third defendants. Just last week, the Peltz family fired back, demanding that Nicola Peltz and Claudia be removed from the lawsuit because they were not involved in the contract.

David Beckham’s marriage was rocked when his personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, explosively claimed they had a secret four-month affair while he was in Madrid (video)

As the Mirror serialises Tom Bower’s bombshell new book, The House of Beckham, we take a look at how Rebecca Loos and David Beckham’s alleged affair began in 2004

David Beckham’s marriage was rocked when his personal assistant Rebecca Loos claimed they’d had a lusty affair.

In 2004, the former England captain’s PA explosively claimed they’d had a secret four-month fling when he was out in Madrid – while wife Victoria Beckham was back in the UK with their young kids.

The allegations, which Rebecca sold to now defunct News of the World, were denied by David.

In Tom Bower’s new book, The House of Beckham, the author claims that Rebecca decided to go public with her allegations after apparently witnessing David failing to give a Spanish waitress a tip.

Bower explains how the seemingly innocuous incident was the catalyst behind her speaking out.

The author writes: “The turning point for Loos was realising Beckham’s double standards. After a meal for SFX employees at Madrid’s Hard Rock Cafe, Beckham did not leave a tip. The following day, the waitress gave Loos a note for Beckham. Explaining that she survived on the tips, she expressed her anger that someone as famous and rich could be so mean.

“After reading the note, Beckham was alarmed. ‘Give her this,’ he said handing over a thick wodge of euros. Reflecting in February about how Beckham had played her and lied to her, Loos was angry.”

Over the years, Rebecca, now 46, has spoken about their alleged romance in detail and told of how it all began. In an interview with Sky News, she claimed they ‘really hit it off’ during a night out. Rebecca, who described herself as David’s ‘second wife’, said: “It was the first time, we were just locked into each other all night conversation-wise. We just connected. People noticed it.”

She then alleged that David, now 49, was the one to float the idea of drinks back at the hotel, telling her: “Why don’t we just lose the rest and why don’t we just go back together?’” Admitting that she’d known David was married, Rebecca then went on to give her reason for agreeing, despite fearing it would cost her her job.

Rebecca continued: “I gave him a look I was very surprised, very taken aback. I said, ‘f*** off’ in a joking manner. But there was a look and he was still looking at me and I was looking at him. I think one of the girls we were with came up and sat between us. I think the chemistry between David and I was so strong and people were not happy because I was being very unprofessional and he’s a married man.

“Then it dawned on me what he had asked me and I decided I did want to go back with him so we gave each other a look and paid the bill and left. I couldn’t wait to be alone with him and I knew he felt the same. We dropped off the other two people in the car and started kissing quite passionately all the way back to the hotel… It was like magnets, pretty amazing.”

After the allegations came to light, Rebecca went on to forge a career in reality television, appearing in shows such as The Farm, Celebrity Love Island, and Temptation Island. In recent years, however, it appears her life has changed significantly, and she very rarely makes media appearances. Now a married mother-of-two, Rebecca lives in Norway where she works as a yoga teacher and massage therapist.

Opening up in Netflix docuseries Beckham, David and Victoria revealed how damaging the allegations had been for their marriage. Admitting that this was ‘one hundred percent’ the lowest point in their marriage, Victoria, 50, shared: “It was the hardest period for us. Because it felt like the world was against us. And here’s the thing; we were against each other, if I’m being completely honest.

“You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else. But we were together. We were connected. We had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel that we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me.”

Carole Middleton step in to rescue Catherine from Evil Camilla plans to kick her out of royalpalace

The world watched on September 19th as the British royal family gathered at Westminster Abbey to pay their final respects to Queen Elizabeth II. While it was undoubtedly a solemn occasion, expressions expert Jeremy Freeman claims to have witnessed some inter-family drama unfold during the televised ceremony.

King Charles III led the procession with his siblings Princess Anne and Prince Andrew behind him. Following close behind were his sons, Princes William and Harry, who walked side by side in an apparent act of reconciliation. Then came eight year-old Prince George and seven year-old Princess Charlotte, representing the next generation. As the only young royals in attendance, the pressure was on for George and Charlotte to comport themselves with the utmost dignity.

However, at one point Freeman asserts that Princess Charlotte appeared upset and shouted “ow” after her brother George pinched her. Ever the diplomate, Meghan Markle showed compassion for the children with an understanding smile according to Freeman’s reading of her expression. Meanwhile, Camilla was said to swoop into disciplinary mode, sternly commanding Princess Kate to “take her”.

While a minor squabble between siblings is to be expected, especially for royal children in such a highly stressful situation, Camilla’s harsh reaction seemed to only make matters worse. Kate appeared to calmly reassure her daughter with a comforting arm around her shoulders.

Later in the service, Freeman notes that Princess Charlotte appeared to be mentoring her brother George on royal protocol, reminding him to bow as the coffin passed by. To his credit, the young prince seemed to heed his sister’s advice. Their pairing provided a rare moment of levity in an otherwise solemn affair and served as a reminder of the monarchy’s future.

While family dynamics were understandably tense given the circumstances, there were also small acts of affection observed. At one point during the service, Princess Charlotte stumbled slightly as she bowed to her grandfather, the new King Charles III. Ever the benevolent matriarch, Queen Camilla was quick to compassionately reassure and embrace the distressed child. Freeman interprets this gesture as a loving olive branch extended to the next generation.

So in summary, the long televised event provided a unique front-row view into royal family relations. Minor squabbles unsurprisingly erupted between the two young siblings coping with enormous emotional pressure. However, subtle gestures also showed care, comfort and reconciliation unfolding both within the younger generation and between new Queen Camilla and her royal heirs.

In the days following the funeral, the royal rift narrative drew significant attention from both British tabloids and international media. Commentators reflected on whether petty arguments risked overshadowing the solemnity of the Queen’s farewell or whether they provided an air of authenticity and normalcy within a family mourning an immense loss together. Overall, most agreed the young royals comported themselves with remarkable dignity given the circumstances.

Privately, some speculated that tensions likely ran higher than the staid exterior suggested. Plagued for years by rumors of animosity, the reunion of Princes William and Harry, along with their spouses, was a closely watched subplot. Did the boys manage a true reconciliation as the expert lip readers concluded or were smiles merely for appearance’s sake? Only time will tell if family wounds have truly begun to heal.

Then there was the dynamic between Camilla and the Cambridge clan. While experts saw gestures of warmth, the Duchess of Cornwall’s harsh tone with Charlotte reignited gossip about a lingering chill with her step-children. Charles’ hopes for a united post-Elizabethan front will rely on building new bonds of trust between the generations.

For the modern monarchy to remain relevant, smooth succession of the crown relies on a congenial and cooperative extended family. As Britain mourned the only monarch most had known in their lifetime, behind closed abbey doors another transition was tentatively taking shape. From feuding heirs to compassionate patriarchs, the Windsors must continually refine their public personas. Whether recent reconciliations will stand the test of time remains to be seen.

Going forward, the new King Charles III era hinges on maintaining a charismatic yet stable family dynamic. Minor indiscretions fade from memory, but how the royals forge new relationships over the coming months and years will echo through the history books. As always, the glare of the global spotlight ensures their each gesture is dissected for deeper meaning. For now, he future of the British throne seems tentatively secured under the guidance of a King, two Princes and their watchful children. With perseverance and goodwill, this chapter of the royal saga appears set for a harmonious start.

Spot the difference: The times Meghan Markle has echoed Princess Diana in her fashion choices

Meghan Markle often pays tribute to Princess Diana through her fashion choices.

She recently wore an entire outfit that seemed to come straight from her late mother-in-law’s wardrobe.

Dining at an upscale Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara, Meghan wore a white shirt by Anine Bing tucked into La Ligne mom jeans, reflecting Diana’s iconic off-duty style.

Meghan accessorised her outfit with Chanel ballerinas and a Lady Dior bag – two of Diana’s favourites – as well as a Cartier watch inherited from her.

Diana was frequently seen carrying her quilted Lady Dior bag, prompting the design to be renamed from ‘Chouchou’ to ‘Lady’ in her honour.

Here, we look back at the times the Duchess has replicated her mother-in-law’s style.

    Butterfly suite

Princess Diana’s charming butterfly suite comprises earrings, a necklace and bracelet.

She debuted two pieces from the set during an official visit to Canada in 1986.

While in Vancouver, Diana accessorised her royal blue Catherine Walker suit with the butterfly earrings and a gold necklace, featuring a matching slide enhancer.

The yellow gold design is set with dark blue gemstones, believed to be sapphires.

The princess notably wore this bracelet for a visit to the Lord Gage Centre in Newham in 1990, and continued to wear it over the next decade.

In 2018, following her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan showcased Diana’s earrings and bracelet in Sydney, during their royal tour of Australia.

She has since repeated both pieces, including at the launch of her clothing collection with the charity Smart Works, and a charity performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

    Off-the-shoulder neckline

In 1987, Princess Diana sported a spectacular pink satin evening gown, featuring a deep off-shoulder neckline that showed off her décolletage.

The dress, designed by Catherine Walker, was selected for a Gala performance by the Royal Ballet at the Berlin Opera House.

    Cartier Française watch

Diana wore her Cartier Tank Française on several occasions, including a 1997 visit to London’s Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu Temple and an engagement at the British Lung Foundation that same year.

At the time, the yellow gold timepiece was priced at £17,800.

It is said that, following Diana’s death, Prince William chose to keep the watch, while Prince Harry opted for her engagement ring.

However, the brothers swapped when William decided to propose to Kate Middleton.

Harry later gave the Cartier watch to Meghan, who has worn it on countless occasions. It is a clear favourite from her inherited collection.

    Strappy red dress

Attending the 2021 Salute To Freedom Gala in New York, Meghan oozed glamour as she graced the red carpet alongside Prince Harry.

The Duchess’s dress, a bespoke design by Carolina Herrera, was reminiscent of one worn by Princess Diana.

In 1995, the late princess attended a swanky dinner party in Argentina, donning a strappy scarlet dress by Catherine Walker.

The glamorous lace mini dress incorporated a plunging off-the-shoulder neckline and strap detailing, creating a distinctive aesthetic.

    Aquamarine ring

Among Diana’s extensive jewellery collection was a striking emerald-cut cocktail ring.

The piece, a gift from Lucia Flecha de Lima, was made by Asprey in the 1990s.

She memorably teamed the ring with a blue one-shoulder Versace dress for a fundraising gala in Sydney, Australia, in 1996.

Diana wore the emerald-cut design only on one other occasion: a party celebrating the launch of her dress auction at Christie’s, in London, the following year.

Meghan re-introduced this stunning ring, last worn in 1997, on her wedding day.

She paired the jewel with a sleek Stella McCartney ivory gown for her evening reception at Frogmore House.

During her 2018 royal tour visiting cities in Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, Meghan opted for a sophisticated white pencil dress by Karen Gee.

The simple, figure-hugging design echoed one worn by her late mother-in-law, some two decades earlier, in 1995.

Judge blasts BBC for blowing more than £600,000 on legal battle to keep Martin Bashir files under wraps

The BBC was last night under fire for blowing more than £600,000 on a legal battle to keep documents linked to the Martin Bashir scandal under wraps.

It comes as the Mail on Sunday can reveal that a judge has criticised the Corporation for a second time over its three-year campaign to keep swathes of emails secret.

In a series of stinging remarks, Judge Brian Kennedy highlighted the ‘disproportionate cost’ of its ‘burdensomely long’ legal fight.

Bashir’s 1995 Panorama interview with Princess Diana, in which the princess famously declared ‘there are three of us in this marriage’ – referring to Camilla, was a global scoop.

It later emerged that Bashir had shown Diana’s brother Earl Spencer forged bank statements to make Diana think her inner circle was selling her secrets.

An inquiry by Lord Dyson concluded that the BBC had covered up Bashir’s deceit but investigative journalist Andy Webb believed the BBC had not released all of its incriminating evidence. In June 2021, Mr Webb requested internal BBC emails sent between September 2020 and November 2020 that related to the Bashir scandal. After a long-running freedom of information battle, during which it was criticised by Judge Kennedy, the Corporation finally released 10,000 pages of heavily redacted documents earlier this year.

Many key passages were, however, blotted out, with more than 3,400 pages partially or fully redacted.

Now, in a new judgment obtained by the MoS, Judge Kennedy KC dismissed Mr Webb’s bid to force the BBC to disclose much of the material it had withheld – but he also again criticised the Corporation’s failure to properly search its files for the information the journalist had requested.

He wrote: ‘The journey on which the BBC has taken the appellant (and then the Tribunal) has been arduously and burdensomely long and hard.

‘It has also come at a disproportionate cost – not only in terms of significant delay to the administration of justice but also in terms of expense to the public purse and to public confidence in the ability of the public service broadcaster to deal with and answer legitimate information requests in a responsible, accountable and adequate way.’

The Corporation spent £536,000 on legal fees and £75,637 on unspecified ‘support services’.

Last night Mr Webb said: ‘Will there be any internal fallout from the judge’s criticisms? I suspect not.’ The BBC said it accepts ‘errors were made’ and took ‘extensive steps’ to rectify them.

Royal reunion in NYC? Prince Harry set for packed Manhattan trip at same time Prince William is expected there to host Earthshot summit

Prince Harry is set to embark on a packed solo trip to New York City next month – at the same time that his brother, Prince William, will likely host a summit in Manhattan.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, will ‘be in town to advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives,’ a spokesperson confirmed to DailyMail.com.

The trip is set to take place during UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week, the latter of which runs from September 22 until September 29.

His older brother Prince William, 42, may also be in the city at that time for the third annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, which will be held at The Plaza Hotel on September 24.

It’s unknown if the Prince of Wales will attend for sure, but he was present last year at the same event.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, will ‘be in town to advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives,’ a spokesperson told DailyMail.com

During Harry’s trip, he will ‘participate in engagements with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst,’ a spokesperson for Prince Harry said.

‘In addition, he will be furthering the work of The Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit organization he co-founded with his wife Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex.’

If Prince William does come to New York when Harry is there, it’s likely the brothers will steer clear from one another, as a source told The Sunday Times earlier this month that the siblings hadn’t spoken in ‘two years.’

It was said that the last time they talked was at their grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022.

The insider described the ‘estrangement’ as ‘dreadfully sad,’ adding that Prince William doesn’t even want Harry at his coronation when the time comes.

‘This year his focus has very much been on his wife, his children and his father. His brother isn’t really something that’s discussed,’ they said.

Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton, 42, revealed that she was battling cancer earlier this year.

Harry and Meghan allegedly learnt of the Princess of Wales’ diagnosis at the same time as the general public – when she announced it to the world in a heart-wrenching video message filmed in the gardens at Windsor.

Prince William gets a rock star welcome as he arrives in Singapore

Despite living more than 5,000 miles away in their $14.65 million Montecito mansion, a source close to Harry and Megan said they reached out privately to the Waleses to wish them well – but the contact was not reciprocated.

In Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare, the Prince made a series of explosive accusations about his brother.

He claimed that William and Kate were the ones who encouraged him to wear his infamous Nazi costume to a party in 2005, and that his brother  once physically attacked him during a 2019 altercation regarding his wife, Meghan.

He said his older brother called the former actress ‘difficult,’ ‘rude,’ and ‘abrasive,’ before things turned physical.

‘He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor,’ he wrote.

‘I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me.’

In 2021 – months after he and Meghan announced that they were permanently stepping down as royals and moving to California full-time – Harry told Oprah that he and William were ‘on different paths.’

‘I love William to bits, he’s my brother, we’ve been through hell together… but we’re on different paths,’ he said.

‘The relationship is space at the moment. Time heals all things – hopefully.’

Prince William was also set to appear at the first Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit back in September 2022, but canceled following the death of grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

Snooki mocked Meghan Markle: Causing shocking controversy on social networks

Snooki Mocks Meghan Markle: Stirring Controversy on Social Media

Nicole Elizabeth LaValle, famously known as Snooki, is a well-known American reality TV personality recognized for her outspoken nature and tendency to court controversy.

The former Jersey Shore star recently found herself in the spotlight once again after taking a swipe at Meghan Markle on her Instagram page.

In a post that garnered over 200,000 likes, Snooki, a 35-year-old mother of three, shared a picture holding her youngest son, 5-year-old Angelo James, with a caption that read, “Meghan is this Archie?”

The post seemed to play on the rumors surrounding Meghan and Prince Harry’s son, Archie Harrison, suggesting that he might not be real.

The social media post from Snooki sparked a whirlwind of reactions among her 14 million followers.

While some commended her for her light-hearted take on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, others criticized her for what they perceived as insensitivity and contributing to baseless conspiracy theories.

One commenter expressed disappointment, stating, “Archie is a real child, and I’m disappointed to see Snooki contribute to these ridiculous rumors.”

Despite facing backlash, Snooki stood her ground and even used her son Angelo’s fifth birthday as an opportunity to take another dig at the royal family.

Sharing photos of Angelo, she captioned them with, “My little man is five.

    Can you believe it?

    Where does the time go?

Love you Angelo James, you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Meghan, this is what a real child looks like.”

This subtle jab further fueled speculations about Archie’s existence, which have lingered due to Meghan and Harry’s efforts to shield their son from the public eye.

Critics of Snooki have accused her of seeking attention and boosting her social media engagement by invoking Archie’s name in her posts.

Some have pointed out the irony in her actions, noting that she has been protective of her own children’s privacy.

One user highlighted the apparent hypocrisy, stating, “Maybe she should focus on her own family instead of sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong.”

In response to the ongoing controversy, Snooki doubled down on her comments during a recent interview, asserting that she was merely voicing what others were thinking.

She raised questions about Archie’s public visibility and the secrecy surrounding him, prompting further debate on the matter.

Despite the criticism, Snooki remained unfazed, emphasizing her role as a proud mother celebrating her son’s milestones and dismissing detractors who took issue with her statements.

As discussions surrounding the Archie conspiracy theories persist, Snooki’s willingness to court controversy and stand by her remarks remains evident.

While Meghan and Harry have yet to address Snooki’s comments publicly, it appears unlikely that they will dignify her claims with a formal response, given their focus on their family and the challenges of royal life.

The unfolding saga underscores Snooki’s penchant for stirring up debates and capturing attention, regardless of the repercussions.
