Loose Women star Kaye Adams reflected on her short-lived run on Strictly Come Dancing as the panel looked back on 2022

Loose Women host Kaye Adams has opened up about her regrets surrounding her stint on Strictly Come Dancing this year, after she became the first star to exit the BBC show.

Kaye, 60, debuted on the BBC One ballroom dance floor alongside professional dance partner Kai Widdrington earlier this year.

Kaye performed a high energy charleston and a tango, but ultimately saw her routine fail to impress the viewers at home and she landed in the dreaded dance-off with competitor Matt Goss, which she lost.

Kaye has now reflected on her short-lived run ahead of the New Year, opening up to her Loose Women panellists about her regrets.

Frankie Bridge broached the subject when she asked Kaye what advice she would give herself if she could go back to the start of 2022.

Kaye said: “I’d say ‘Kaye, you can’t dance, don’t do it’,” before Frankie and fellow panellists Denise Welch and Kelly Holmes then quickly denied her claim as they said: “You can, you can dance”.

Kaye added: “I’m still coming to terms with it, because what I told myself when I made the decision to do it was ‘Kaye, you’ve got to get yourself out of your comfort zone’, because you hear that’s good for you, to get yourself out of your comfort zone.

“Now I think it’s called a comfort zone for a reason. Maybe it was too far out of my comfort zone. I hoped it would create a new me, and it didn’t”.

It comes after Kaye cried as she reflected on her Strictly Come Dancing exit in her first interview after leaving the show.

In an appearance on Strictly’s BBC Two spin-off It Takes Two, Kaye explained her sadness at departing the competition so early.

Through tears, she said: “It’s been fantastic. It really has. I’m going to cry; it’s been a privilege to meet you Kai,” and asked what she would miss most about the show, she added: “In a nutshell, I’m going to miss the people.”

Kai then had a sweet message of Kaye, thanking her for all the fun they had, as he shared: “Thank you for all the laughs we had and the endless amount of flat whites I brought you in the morning. As the two TV stars got into the discussion, things became more and more heated until Brenda was forced to clap back at Carol after she assumed that her Loose Women co-star had made a dig at her parenting skills as she juggled her career alongside it.

“I worked very successfully with my two children working alongside me and along with them. And if you monitor things – the work that has got to be done – then there’s no other people that will have to take up any slack,” Brenda argued.

Both Grace Kelly’s and Meghan’s Markle’s engagement and wedding days received massive public attention. Both royal weddings were broadcast live to audiences around the world and described as “modern fairy tales.”

Kelly’s wedding to Rainier was the first royal wedding to ever be transmitted live.

Prince Rainier was seeking a bride to produce an heir to the Monegasque throne, whereas Prince Harry knew he would likely never ascend to the throne.

Kelly maintained that she married for love.

“When I married Prince Rainier, I married the man and not what he represented or what he was. I fell in love with him without giving a thought to anything else,” Kelly once said.

Prince Harry, who was fifth in line to the throne when he married Meghan Markle, had no obligation to produce an heir to the British throne. Now sixth in line, it is extremely unlikely he or his children, Archie and Lilibet, will ever ascend to the throne.

According to the Princess Grace Foundation, Grace Kelly was not required to renounce her American citizenship and became a dual citizen of the United States and Monaco after marrying Prince Rainier.

Meghan Markle also retained her American citizenship and even voted in the 2020 presidential election after she and Prince Harry moved to California.

Last year, the California native, Prince Harry, and their son, Archie, all relocated to Santa Barbara after stepping back from the royal family.

However, she too has focused on causes she cares about, formerly serving as a patron of charities in the UK, and launching her nonprofit foundation Archewell with Prince Harry.

Meghan’s likely been having a full-on hissy fit over the fact that you can’t just buy an Emmy. Unlike other accolades, this one actually requires merit.

In a twist that only Meghan could pull off, she’s probably dialing her favorite tabloids right now to leak negative stories about the Beckhams, hoping to divert attention from her own lack of accolades. Maybe she’s even plotting to crash the next Beckham event, dreaming of mingling with A-listers and somehow turning the situation to her favor. British royal family news reveals that Catherine, the Princess of Wales shared a social media message today referencing the UK’s new chief scout Dwayne Fields. While the message was brief, it delighted royal fans who are looking forward to the princess’s return to active duty.

Kate is the joint president of the Scout Association and her X tweet was signed off with her signature initial ‘C.’

The Princess of Wales announced in March that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment following a cancer diagnosis delivered in February. The diagnosis was given based on tests she had done in January at the time of a planned abdominal surgery.
