He’s claimed he’s the one who has suffered and that Belle’s mental health has seen her act out. When he was caught out for installing cameras in their home, he claimed it was for Belle’s safety.

Belle needs proof that Tom was stalking her and recording her without her consent, while she’s also struggling to prove Tom has been abusing her for months. Tom’s family have accused Belle of lying, unaware of the horrifying truth about Tom.

But a scene on Thursday could change this, as his aunt Nicola King hinted she might be onto him whilst actually defending him. While in the café, she shared her confusion over the situation after Tom’s arrest, and him being questioned once more.

With his iPad being missing, Nicola appeared to share some doubt about Tom’s version of events, while she did insinuate Belle was lying. She told her pal Laurel Thomas, who made it clear she was supporting Belle: “Something doesn’t add up,” as she pointed out that Belle attacked Tom with an axe.

Fans know that Tom has been abusing Belle for months, with it starting as coercive control before he turned violent. Belle is fighting back, but an incident last week where he threatened to kill her led to her shoving an axe in his back.

He’s now recovering at home and Belle has reported him to the police, as well as confirming what she’d done. But without the evidence she’s facing trouble over the attack.

Nicola’s comment left many viewers wondering if she was finally onto Tom and perhaps was only pretending to be on his side. So could she end up being the one to find the iPad and its contents?

Viewers believe this to be the case, thinking Nicola may have already seen the footage. Others wondered if this would soon happen following her young son Carl stealing the iPad, and perhaps she will realise what’s happened.

Nick Knowles is on crutches with a second “painful” Strictly injury – and could be out of the competition despite vowing to dance on crutches if he has to.

The DIY SOS star, 61, said he was “gutted” to pull out of this weekend’s show with a knee injury. It comes just a week after he was only just passed fit to take part because of shoulder problems.

Speaking on BBC TV show It Takes Two, Nick said: “During our rehearsal today… Unfortunately I damaged my knee and it’s quite painful. So the physios have decided I need to go for a MRI (scan).”

His professional partner, Luba Mushtuk added: “Unfortunately we will not be dancing tomorrow but we really, really hope that the knee will be better for next week and we’ll be back on the dancefloor. Fingers crossed, we really hope that we’ll be back and see you guys very soon.”

The TV star previously revealed he had sustained an arm and shoulder injury, but received medical clearance to perform on the show last weekend. However, this week he was not so lucky after falling on his knee.

A post to Strictly’s Instagram page said: “Unfortunately, Nick Knowles sustained an injury during rehearsals and as a result, will not dance this weekend. As per the rules of the competition, Nick and Luba (Mushtuk) will receive a bye through to next week when he is hopefully able to dance again. The 20th anniversary series of Strictly only kicked off a few weeks ago but this is already Nick’s second injury! The DIY guru was seen with his arm in a sling last week, having injured it while changing a car tyre and leaving him with only a few hours to prepare for his dance routine at the weekend.

The arm’s getting stronger every day and I’m feeling better. The strength is getting better each day. We’ll need to build this dance a little but around it, but anyway, it’s not an excuse this week I’m either good enough or I’m not.”

Determined to compete, Nick revealed, “We were offered the chance of a bye but I felt like that would be cheating and we really should try and go for it. I spoke to the physios and once that was decided, you just throw yourself into it. The harder you work, the more confidence you gain.”

He concluded with high praise for his dance partner, sayin: “I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have Luba as my teacher, shaping me like a finely-tailored suit which I then make look like I’ve slept in it overnight.”

Former The One Show presenter Jermaine Jenas has broken his online silence amid speculation about Gary Lineker’s future at the BBC.

The BBC said on Thursday night that it has not yet agreed a contract renewal with Match of the Day host Lineker The corporation denied an announcement was pending regarding its highest-paid star, who it said is under contract until the end of the football season.

Prior to his dismissal from the BBC following an internal investigation into his workplace conduct, Jenas had been one of the favourites to replace Lineker on the Match of the Day couch when the time comes. However, Jenas was let go from his BBC gigs in August following complaints of inappropriate messages to female co-workers.

Lineker has spoken out on the recent scandal involving Jenas, dismissing claims from a story that suggested he had “taken a real interest” amid speculation he might be replaced by Jenas on Match of the Day. Venting on The Rest is Football podcast, the Leicester City icon criticised a newspaper for its front-page narrative.

“There was one last week,” he said. “That was totally ridiculous… a front page story about Jermaine Jenas, who has obviously had his issues of late, the front page story was saying, ‘I’d taken a real interest’ in this story because possibly Jermaine might take my place.” Lineker outrightly dismissed the ‘absurd’ story, stating: “It was so absurd, and I think it’s so absurd that you wouldn’t take it seriously.”

And now, as rumours swirl about Lineker’s future on the show, Jenas has broken his online silence. MailOnline reported earlier this week that it had seen an email purportedly from BBC bosses preparing to announce the 63-year-old Lineker’s departure from the broadcaster after 25 years. The website said it had been unable to verify the authenticity of the email. “We have nothing to announce, and we have not agreed next steps with regard to his contract,” a spokesperson for the BBC said. “He is under contract until the end of the season.” The football season will end after the Champions League final at the end of May next year.

Match Of The Day is one of the BBC’s longest-running shows, having been on air since 1964. Former England footballer Lineker took over the flagship football highlights show in 1999 after predecessor Des Lynam joined ITV. Lineker has been the BBC’s highest paid on-air talent for seven consecutive years and the only star to earn more than £1 million in the year 2023/24 according to the corporation’s annual report published in July.

He was taken off air by the BBC last year having compared the language used to launch a government asylum seeker policy to 1930s Germany. The incident sparked a backlash and resulted in a number of his fellow pundits, including Ian Wright and Alan Shearer, boycotting Match Of The Day over his absence from the show. Lineker later returned to the programme but new BBC social media rules have since banned flagship presenters from making attacks on political parties.

David Walliams and Matt Lucas are planning to bring back the popular comedy series Little Britain – but have admitted there is just one “problem” for them.

The 53-year-old TV star, who co-wrote and starred in the BBC Three sketch show with Matt, 50, from 2003 to 2006, said they are now keen to hit the road again. However, David said they need to address a “problem” – since Matt lost a lot of weight, all the characters are going to look slimmer.

But despite news of a live tour being on the cards, David said it’s unlikely that the show will return to television. The comedy series began as a radio show in 2000 and ran as a television series for three years, starting from 2003.

Confirming the idea of a potential Little Britain reunion, David told the Daily Star : “I’m sure at some point we’re going to revisit the show. I’m sure we’ll tour live again. Me and Matt would love to do it again.

“The only problem is Matt’s lost about eight stone, so all the characters are going to look a lot thinner!” But he said Little Britain not going to be back on our screens, adding: “When you talk to people in TV, they’re like ‘Well we’re not looking for that at the moment.’”

Previously, David insisted that comedy should not be censored and no gag should be off limits after his sketch show faced allegations of racial stereotyping in 2020. He said no topic should be off limits for jokes and no one should be told what they can or cannot laugh at.

Speaking to Australian newspaper The Age, he said: “You end up with a list of things you can laugh at and things you can’t but who’s in charge of that list? When you see Ricky Gervais, Dave Chappelle or Chris Rock dealing with taboo stuff intelligently, it works. You can still get things wrong but often, the exciting stuff happens when you’re walking that tightrope.”

Last year, Matt announced he has started writing children’s books after signing a two-novel deal, starting with The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas – described as Home Alone meets Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. His Little Britain co-star David wrote his first children’s book, The Boy in the Dress, in 2008. His writing has since netted some £100million.

The two comedians met at the National Youth Theatre in the 90s and hit the big time with Little Britain, with characters such as Daffyd Thomas and gobby teen Vicky Pollard. The pair reunited for a one-off radio show in 2019 after falling out for eight years.

Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi is leaving the long-running series after 16 years.

The actress plays Leyla Harding in the ITV soap and sources have claimed she wants to “spread her wings”. She joined the cast in August 2008 and left in August 2011. She returned to two episodes in December 2013 and reprised the role on a permanent basis in January 2014.

Her character went through many storylines including being a pole dancer, being shot and developing a drug habit. Roxy, who is married to actor Arsher Ali and shares a six-year-old daughter with him, previously discussed her love of the programme. Roxy explained: “I absolutely love being in a soap like Emmerdale, because you’re able to grow your character over the years.

“It’s a process you don’t really get on many other dramas. And I’m so lucky to play Leyla, because she’s such a fun character.” And now, a source has revealed that the star is moving onto new things. They said: “Roxy has adored her time on the soap and has made so many happy memories since first joining.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Toyah Willcox vows to “prove the doubters wrong” after a controversial dance-off last week.

The singer managed to see another week after she and her professional partner were in the bottom two last weekend. Olympic swimmer Tom Dean was sent home, which many viewers weren’t happy with.

But Toyah is coming back fighting as she says she will prove fans wrong this weekend during the show’s Movie Week. She is set to take the the dancefloor with Neil Jones by her side as they dance a samba to the song Poor Unfortunate Souls from the Little Mermaid.

Speaking to The Sun, Toyah said: “Everyone was ­completely shocked. Tom is an Olympian, but when it comes to a dance-off I’m going to give my best against anyone.
