Meghan Markle is channeling one of Princess Diana’s quintessential fashion moments with her latest outfit.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, sported a chic outfit reminiscent of Princess Diana’s staple look of a blazer and all-white ensemble on her return to Los Angeles after her and Prince Harry’s Nigeria trip on Monday, May 13.

Meghan was pictured at Los Angeles International Airport wearing the Jamilla linen blazer in camel by Loro Piana, paired with a white sweater also by the brand and white jeans, channeling her late mother-in-law’s signature ’90s look.

The Duchess of Sussex also wore a pair of white and tan leather and canvas YSL Chris slippers — nearly identical to the flats worn by Princess Diana in 1994.

During her trip to Nigeria last week, the Duchess of Sussex took a departure from her usual aesthetic, going instead for sweeping dresses and bold colors.

Among the striking ensembles worn during her stay in the West African country was a blush silk Heidi Merrick ‘Windsor’ dress, a red Oríré ‘Dire’ dress and a bright yellow Carolina Herrera column gown.

Meghan continued to honor her mother-in-law during the trip when she wore a necklace that belonged to the late princess to a reception for military families in Abuja, Nigeria, on May 11. Prince William says that he didn’t attend the 2024 Paris Olympics because he “didn’t want to risk” contracting COVID amid his wife Kate Middleton’s chemotherapy treatment.

The Prince of Wales, 42, made the revelation while visiting the reopened Birtley Community Pool in Tyne and Wear, England, on Oct. 3. Many speculated that Prince William would appear at the global games in France over the summer to cheer on his country, as many other European royals did, and he explained that he wasn’t there out of a desire to protect his wife’s health.

“Did you manage to get out [to Paris]?” British Olympic swimmer Tom Dean asked Prince William at the pool on Oct. 3, Hello! reported.  The inquiry came up during a conversation with his fellow 2024 Paris Olympian Adam Peaty and Paralympians Maisie Summers-Newton and Louise Fiddes.

“No, I was so keen to come, but I have to say after reading someone’s interview about COVID I decided, because my wife was obviously having chemo, that I didn’t want to risk bringing COVID home, so Adam very kindly reminded me that that was still a thing!” Prince William said, according to the outlet.

“But we watched the whole thing. We were glued to it every day,” he added, apparently referring to his family. The Prince and Princess of Wales are parents to Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, and have evidently passed down their passion for sports.

Peaty, 29, tested positive for COVID after winning silver in the men’s 100m breaststroke during the Paris Games, and returned to the international competition after isolating, Reuters reported.

Princess Kate, 42, has been outside of the spotlight for much of the year after announcing in March that she was undergoing treatment for cancer. She and her husband appeared in a video on Aug. 11 to congratulate Team Great Britain on their success at the Paris Olympics, which they didn’t attend in person.

During his conversation with the athletes on Oct. 3, Prince William said, “We’ve heard stories up and down the countries of pools closing down, so we thought, ‘No, we want to be able to stop this,’ ” according to the Daily Express.

Of the reopening of the Birtley Community Pool, “We want to replicate this across the country, because swimming is such an important part of life,” he continued. “We’re an island nation. We should all have access to learn how to swim.”

“Catherine and I both adore swimming,” Prince William added. “George loves scuba diving. He was 10 years old, we took him under, thinking he’d freak out, but he absolutely loved it. It’s just introduced him to the world of water.”

On Sept. 9, the Princess of Wales announced in a video message, unprecedented for its intimacy, that she completed chemotherapy treatment. The royal was joined by Prince William and their kids in the montage shot in Norfolk in August, overlaid with audio.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family,” Princess Kate said in part. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

Elsewhere in the message, the princess said that she was now focused on “doing what I can to stay cancer-free” and that she would “continue to take each day as it comes.”

“I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can,” the Princess of Wales continued.

“Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life,” she said.

Princess Kate has quietly undertaken a few meetings since, and is thought to hope to attend the Remembrance Day service on Nov. 10 while planning for her annual carol concert in December.

On Oct. 2, she appeared at Windsor Castle to meet a budding young photographer who is navigating a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Prince Harry’s whirlwind trip to New York City wasn’t all work and no play.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, the Duke of Sussex, 40, will appear as a surprise guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — but didn’t take part in a typical interview with the late night talk show host.

Instead, the two ventured through a haunted maze at Rockefeller Center created by Fallon called Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares, which Fallon announced Aug. 15. “Brace yourself for 10 spine-chilling rooms that bring Jimmy’s worst nightmares to life with sinister characters and scares around every corner,” according to The Tonight Show’s YouTube page. “Enter if you dare!”

In the frightful moment, Harry and Fallon watched an eerie video of Fallon holding a pup. Although Harry first tells Fallon, “You look great,” to which a flattered Fallon responds, “Thank you,” on-screen Fallon’s eyes quickly shift as a static noise is heard, leaving Harry alarmed.

Shadows of a zombie-like creature then appears on the other side of a door, and Harry’s bodycam that’s attached to his chest catches his candid and surprised reaction. The zombie then bursts through the door and startles Harry, who hilariously grabs Fallon’s chest.

“That actually got me,” Fallon says.

The duo then get scared by a wolverine before running into a scary band. The musicians hilariously break character as they realize it was actually Harry who they just scared. The video ends with one of the spooky band members fanning herself in awe.

Harry’s appearance on Fallon’s show isn’t his first time on the talk show circuit. While promoting his memoir, Spare, in January 2023, Harry appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he answered the host’s 15-question Colbert Questionert.

“What do you think happens when we die?” Colbert asked his guest. “I think we become animals,” Harry replied with a laugh. When pressed as to what animal he’d return as, Harry responded, “Probably an elephant.”

Colbert shifted the conversation to a more serious tone when he asked about Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana. When Colbert inquired if Harry ever thinks about the advice she might have given him, the Duke of Sussex responded, “I’ve said quite a lot recently in different interviews that I’ve really felt the presence of my mom, especially in the last couple of years. And I detail in the book my brother and I talking at her grave and how he felt as though she had been with him for a long period of time and helped set him up with life and that he felt she was now moving over to me.”

“And I have felt her more in the last two years than I have in the last 30,” he added.

In February 2021, Prince Harry appeared in a segment for The Late Late Show with James Corden, where the two rode around Los Angeles in an open-top double-decker bus. During the segment, the two also visited The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air house and even FaceTimed Harry’s wife Meghan Markle.

Though Prince Harry capped off his visit to N.Y.C. with some fun — and some fright — with Fallon, it was jam-packed with work engagements for causes he supports, from The Diana Award (named in honor of his late mother, Princess Diana) to The HALO Trust, African Parks, the African country of Lesotho (where he spoke of his fondness for it at the United Nations) and Travalyst.

Harry’s first appearance in the city was on Sunday, Sept. 22, when he joined Queen Mathilde of Belgium for a dinner hosted by the World Health Organization that focused on violence against children and its impact on mental health.

From there, on Monday, Sept. 23, Harry’s calendar was full of engagements, from The Diana Award to The HALO Trust and African Parks. Harry joined The Diana Award CEO Dr. Tessy Ojo and two award recipients, Chiara Riyanti Hutapea Zhang of Indonesia and Christina Williams of Jamaica, at the annual Concordia Summit. (Harry even shared a sweet FaceTime with wife Meghan, 43, and kids Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, before the event!)

“I’ve said it years ago, and I’ll say it again — the younger generation are, not putting too much pressure on you guys, you are what give me hope,” Harry told Zhang and Williams on stage. “The courage that you have gives me hope, because every single one of us need courage in order to really move the dial and create positive change in today’s world, probably more so now than ever.”

He added, “I know that my mom would be incredibly proud of you guys — not just you, but all of the award winners.”

Later on Sept. 23, Harry gave remarks at an event supporting The HALO Trust, an organization that Diana was also closely associated with during her lifetime. The humanitarian group is at work in over 30 countries and territories around the world to clear landmines and debris of war — and garnered international attention when the late Princess of Wales walked through an active landmine in Huambo, Angola in 1997 to call for an international ban, not long before her death at age 36 on Aug. 31, 1997.

“As you know, The HALO Trust work in Angola meant a great deal to my mother,” Harry said during his remarks at the Sept. 23 event. “Carrying on her legacy is a responsibility that I take incredibly seriously.”

To round off the day, Prince Harry sat on a panel moderated by Katie Couric on behalf of African Parks, an organization the Duke of Sussex has been involved with since 2016.

The next day, Sept. 24, Harry delivered powerful remarks at the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting, speaking about the dangers of social media for children and sharing that the lock screen of his phone features a photo of his kids Archie and Lilibet.

From there, it was off to the UN, where Harry spoke warmly about Lesotho, a country he’s been connected to for 20 years since first visiting the nation in 2004. “The beautiful mountain kingdom feels like a home away from home,” he said in his remarks.

Finally, he celebrated the five-year anniversary of Travalyst, the environmental tourism initiative he founded in 2019.

“Together, Travalyst and its partners represent a combined market value of nearly $3 trillion,” he said. “This is a massive force for good, and we’re committed to using it to ensure that travel not only sustains communities, but helps them thrive.”

Prior to his trip, Harry’s spokesperson said his trip to New York City would “be furthering the work of The Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit organization he co-founded with his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.” Meghan didn’t join Harry for this visit to the city.

Prince Harry’s visit to New York City continues with a powerful speaking engagement for the Clinton Foundation about the dangers of children consuming online content.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, Harry delivered remarks solo on stage and, as he did so, spoke in front of a screen filled with images of phone lock screens. The photos on the lock screens were children whose lives were lost to social media, which stayed in the background as Harry revealed that “My lock screen is a picture of my kids. What’s yours?” he told the crowd, referring to Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, who he shares with wife Meghan Markle.

In his remarks, Harry spoke about the importance of no more children being lost to social media and how it has become a crisis that cannot be ignored. He mentioned the work of his and Meghan’s new initiative, The Parents Network, created to help families with children impacted by traumas related to social media. The couple spoke about the new venture on CBS Sunday Morning on Aug. 4, telling Jane Pauley they wanted to protect their children from harmful online content.

On stage at CGI on Sept. 24, Harry said it was because of children lost to social media and the parents left behind to grieve as to why “we at the Archewell Foundation are committed to this issue,” he said.

Prince Harry said that he, like many, didn’t grow up with a phone, and that “Young people today possess an incredible understanding of technology that older generations may struggle to grasp.”

He added, “Our laws and regulations are different, state to state, country to country. We may have different backgrounds, viewpoints, beliefs and even access to the internet itself, but the one thing that we can universally agree on is the safety of our children.”

Harry went on to speak about how online platforms, specifically social media, are designed to create addictions, and told the crowd, “Kids may get into trouble. I know a thing or two about that,” he said to laughter.

“We have the fate of the future — their future — in our hands,” he said before the crowd gave him a standing ovation as his remarks concluded.

During the couple’s CBS Sunday Morning appearance, Meghan shared more about their concern for online safety: “Our kids are young — they’re 3 and 5. They’re amazing. But all you want to do as parents is protect them. So as we can see what’s happening in the online space, we know that there’s a lot of work to be done there, and we’re just happy to be able to be a part of change for good.”

Harry added, “At this point, we’ve got to the stage where almost every parent needs to be a first responder. And even the best first responders in the world wouldn’t be able to tell the signs of possible suicide. That is the terrifying piece of this.”

Meghan encouraged everyone to “look at it through the lens of ‘What if it was my daughter? What if it was my son?’ “

She added, “If you look at it through the lens as a parent, there’s no way to see that any other way than to try to find a solution.”

Prince Harry joined a lineup that included actor Matt Damon and Chef José Andrés for the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting, with Harry speaking on day two of the event. This year’s annual meeting of the nonpartisan organization founded by former U.S. President Bill Clinton focused on “What’s Working” to address “climate resilience, global health equity, gun violence, the protection of journalists, humanitarian crises and other pressing global challenges,” PEOPLE previously reported.

Harry’s participation in the event was announced Sept. 5. In addition to Prince Harry, Damon and Andrés, other celebrities participated included Sophia Bush, Ginger Zee and many more.

“This year’s @ClintonGlobal is going to be a great meeting. Let’s get to work!” Clinton wrote on X, reposting a report from the Associated Press, which said that Prince Harry, Damon and Andrés were “set to speak” there.

The former president, 78, told the AP that the 2024 CGI would “double down” on efforts.

“We started CGI because we wanted to have a meeting where people didn’t just talk about big problems, but where we could roll up our sleeves and get something done,” Clinton said in a statement to the outlet. “It’s more important than ever to be optimistic and realize we all have the ability to make a difference.”

During his jam-packed visit to New York City, Harry also undertook engagements with The Diana Award, The HALO Trust and African Parks on Sept. 23, and, in addition to attending CGI, will take part in work surrounding Lesotho and Travalyst on Sept. 24.

Harry’s visit to N.Y.C. was announced via a spokesperson on Aug. 27, when it was made public that the Duke of Sussex would visit N.Y.C. during UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week. Climate Week kicked off on Sept. 22 and runs until Sept. 29, and High-level Week runs from Sept. 23 to Sept. 27.

Prince Harry is visiting New York City to “advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic activities,” the spokesperson said, adding he would also “be furthering the work of The Archewell Foundation, the nonprofit organization he co-founded with his wife Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.”

Meghan, 43, did not join her husband for this trip to New York City.

The timing of Harry’s visit coincides with another event happening in N.Y.C. around Prince William’s Earthshot Prize. On Sept. 24, the Prince of Wales’ global environmental contest and Bloomberg Philanthropies will co-host the third annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit at the Plaza Hotel, though Prince William will not be in attendance.

Prince Harry’s busy trip to New York City continues with an engagement supporting an African country he’s been connected to for 20 years.

The Duke of Sussex joined Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of Lesotho at the United Nations on Sept. 24, where he spoke about the work he’s done in the country and his deep appreciation for it. Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso is the sister-in-law of Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, whom Prince Harry co-founded the charity Sentebale with in 2006 to help children and young people affected by poverty, inequality and HIV/AIDS in both Lesotho and Botswana.

“The beautiful mountain kingdom feels like a home away from home,” Prince Harry said of Lesotho while at the UN.

“I was struck by the strength and courage of your people amidst the immense challenges they faced, and particularly the children,” he continued. “Because of that experience, the people I met and what I was exposed to, two years later we created Sentebale.”

Sentebale translates to “forget-me-not” in Lesotho’s national language, which has a sentimental tie to Harry’s mother Princess Diana — forget-me-nots were her favorite flower.

Continuing his wide-ranging remarks, which touched on HIV awareness and gender-based violence, Prince Harry said, “Good mental health, mental fitness, is not a luxury. It is a necessity. For every single one of us.”

“A safer world is possible, and together we can and will make it happen,” his remarks concluded.

“It’s really focused on ensuring that the younger generation are quite literally not forgotten,” Harry, 40, said of Sentebale during a panel discussion in Miami in April. At the “Potential is Waiting” discussion at the South Beach restaurant Zaytinya in the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Harry also shared that both Prince Seeiso’s mother, Mamohato, and his mother Diana had a strong focus on both HIV/AIDS and improving life for young people.

“At the heart of Sentebale, what we’ve always believed is that every single young person should have a chance at a better future,” the Duke of Sussex said.

Harry first visited Lesotho 20 years ago in 2004, after a gap year visit to the country, where one in three children have lost a parent to AIDS-related illness. He and Prince Seeiso founded Sentebale two years later, and Harry has done ample work to advance the organization since, including hosting the first-ever concert on the East Lawn of Kensington Palace in 2016, where Coldplay took the stage in front of a crowd of 3,000 people to help Harry raise funds for Sentebale.

“What we know is that HIV is a virus that thrives off silence and feeds on stigma,” Harry told the crowd. “Every single one of us has a responsibility to educate ourselves. To do what we can to speak out and stamp out the silence and fear. We must follow the example of Lesotho and meet one of the great challenges of our generation with optimism, energy and openness.”

He continued, “That’s what tonight is about. When people come together for a purpose, we can achieve extraordinary things.”

Prince Seeiso also spoke at the event, and said of Harry, “You came to Lesotho as a young man, and today you stand tall and proud and are walking among the giants. You are making a difference. That is a testimony to the mother that we so love — that is Princess Diana. You in her footsteps have gone beyond the call of duty and gone to those dark corners and reached out your hand to the most vulnerable children of Africa and, in particular, Lesotho. Harry got up and went to Lesotho and said to the children of Lesotho, ‘I am part of you.’”

Annually, Harry hosts the Sentebale Polo Cup to raise money for the organization, in which he usually participates — tying his charity work to his love of the sport. Harry’s friend and fellow polo player Nacho Figueras previously told PEOPLE that Harry’s passion for the work of Sentebale has made an impression on him since the two met in 2007.

“From day one, I saw how committed he was to his charity,” Figueras said at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Aspen, Colorado in August 2022. “Fast forward 15 years — I’ve been to Lesotho with him a few times, and I’ve seen what great work the charity does and how important it is for a lot of kids, how committed he is, how much he really cares about it.”

Prince Harry has referred to Africa as his “second home,” and said in the April panel discussion in Miami “Africa’s in my heart, and Africa’s in my soul,” he said. “I first went there when I was 12, 13 years old, and after so many years, I wanted to give back to it because it had given me so much. The vast open space, the cultures, the community, the people, the wildlife, just the freedom was a huge piece of why I loved Africa so much.”

Africa — specifically Botswana — played an integral role in his courtship with Meghan Markle after the two first began dating in the summer of 2016. The couple, now married for over six years, visited Botswana after just two dates in London.

“I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana,” Harry said after the two became engaged in 2017. “We camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic. So then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to know each other.”

Meghan isn’t with Harry on his most recent trip to N.Y.C., which kicked off on Sept. 23 with engagements with The Diana Award and The HALO Trust. Prince Harry has landed in Lesotho, a country he first fell in love with 20 years ago.

On Oct. 1, Princess Senate Seeiso of Lesotho posted a photo of herself and Harry on her Instagram Story, writing that she “Had the pleasure of hosting the Duke of Sussex today for lunch.”

Prince Harry Won’t See King Charles or Prince William During U.K. Visit

Harry, 40, was just in the U.K. the day before on Sept. 30, attending the WellChild Awards in London — one of the few patronages he kept since stepping back from royal duty alongside his wife, Meghan Markle. While in the U.K., he did not see his father, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William.

His brief visit to the U.K. followed a whirlwind trip to New York City last week, where he supported many causes close to his heart, including a visit to the United Nations on behalf of Lesotho, a country he’s had close ties to for two decades.

Prince Harry is in the African country alongside longtime friend and Sentebale co-founder Prince Seeiso, where a release stated that they’ll meet with local Sentebale leaders to showcase programs to philanthropists and corporate foundations.

After first visiting Lesotho in 2004 during his gap year, Prince Harry co-founded the charity Sentebale with Prince Seeiso in 2006 to help children and young people affected by poverty, inequality and HIV/AIDS in both Lesotho and Botswana. Prince Harry’s visit on Oct. 1 marks his first return to Southern Africa since 2019, when Harry, Meghan, 43, and their son Prince Archie, now 5, visited when Harry and Meghan were still working royals. (Harry and Meghan are also parents to Princess Lilibet, 3.)

During his current visit, Harry will witness Sentebale’s programs at work in Lesotho, followed by working sessions in Johannesburg, South Africa with leading Southern Africa-based business leaders, foundations and organizations active in the youth sector, according to a release.

“Through its work in Lesotho and Botswana, Sentebale has developed a profound understanding of local youth — their passions, their concerns and their extraordinary creativity,” Prince Harry said in a statement. “These young adults are eager and capable of driving meaningful change, yet significant barriers still stand in their way. As we head towards our 20th anniversary, our ambition has grown, giving us the confidence to bring our skills and experience in designing solutions with young people, and to leveraging our convening power to engage with leading regional players and global funders so we can add Sentebale’s voice to addressing the challenges faced by the next generation in Southern Africa.”

According to Dr. Sophie Chandauka MBE, Sentebale board chair, Africa has the largest and fastest-growing youth population, and by 2050 nearly 40% of the world’s youth will reside on the continent, with Southern Africa home to a significant portion.

“Over 50% of these young people are at risk of remaining economically vulnerable without urgent investment in digital skills, education and job creation,” she said in a statement. “The Duke’s return to Southern Africa, alongside our new American friends, marks a milestone as we collaborate with world-class organizations and local leadership to engage this critical youth cohort. Together, we aim to accelerate digital and economic inclusion, addressing the low levels of access and literacy, which are crucial for young people’s participation in the global economy and for achieving Sentebale’s goals in health, wealth creation and climate resilience.”

In Johannesburg, Harry will sit on a panel called “Potential is Waiting: The Johannesburg Edition,” following the Miami version of the same gathering this past April.

Since turning the milestone age of 40 on Sept. 15, Harry has been at work on three continents — and, as he returns to Africa, he is returning to a place he has referred to as his “second home.” At the April panel discussion in Miami, he said, “Africa’s in my heart, and Africa’s in my soul. As the Spice Girls approach their 30th anniversary, news that they won’t be touring seems to have been confirmed by an unlikely source.

In a recent interview, model Cara Delevingne recalled bumping into Victoria Beckham at Glastonbury

and asking her whether the Spice Girls were getting back together – and apparently Posh was less than impressed.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, Cara, 31, said, “I pestered Victoria Beckham about [a reunion] once at Glastonbury. She was like, ‘Please stop talking to me about that’.”

And now an insider says that Posh was less than impressed that the incident has been made public.

The source says, “Vic was absolutely mortified that Cara not only revealed what she said, but also mentioned the frosty reaction,

which she feels tarnishes her image by making her seem angry.”

While the Spice Girls are often asked about a reunion and still have no official plans to celebrate their anniversary – having last performed together at Victoria’s 50th birthday party in April – insiders say her reaction to Cara’s question had more behind it.

Apparently, part of Victoria’s frustration with Cara stems from when her husband David was spotted partying in LA with Cara’s sister, Poppy Delevingne, 38, back in 2017. David and Poppy were seen leaving a West Hollywood bar looking worse for wear and it’s possible that Victoria had that memory in her mind while speaking to her sister at Glastonbury.

“Vic might have remembered David’s night out partying with Cara’s sister, Poppy, and while Cara had nothing to do with it, it’s possible that might have affected the way she spoke to her,” the source adds.

Meanwhile, David is also said to be annoyed that old stories are being brought back up given that he and Victoria have dealt with them already.

“That whole thing about Poppy had been blown way out of proportion at the time, which David had apparently repeatedly told Vic,” the source reveals. “The last thing she wants is to be part of the reason for putting that story back in the public eye. She also doesn’t want anyone to be tarnishing her name among her A-list friendship circle, so she’s planning to reach out to Cara and and offer an olive branch, just so that they can put it in the past.”

As for the sought-after reunion and hopes for a concert, Posh recently poured cold water on the idea, revealing, “We have a group chat and I do speak to all the girls. It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate [the 30th anniversary] – a dinner or a lunch – and reminisce. But yes, it will not be any more than that.”

David Beckham has reacted to his EMMY nominations for their Netflix docu-series Beckham.

Last October, Netflix released a four-part series on David which featured a mix of never-before-seen personal archive footage from the last 40 years,

candid current-day moments, and interviews with those closest to him.

The former footballer dubbed the docu-series a “love letter” to his career, but most importantly his family.

EMMY nominations were announced on Wednesday, with the docu-series being nominated in five categories – including Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series.

Speaking to HELLO! about the nominations, David confessed: “It’s a real honour for me and the whole creative team for BECKHAM to be recognized by the TV Academy.”

“Making this series was such a personal journey, a love letter to football and my family.”

“It has been overwhelming for me and Victoria that we have had such a warm and positive response to the series.”

“I’m so grateful to the incredible team led by Fisher Stevens and also to all those people from my life and career who took part and who have played such an important role in my story.”

The former footballer had one of the most successful careers notably playing for Manchester United and England.

Directed by Academy Award winner Fisher Stevens, the series followed Beckham’s meteoric rise from humble working-class beginnings to global football stardom.

A synopsis for the documentary read: “Every goal he scores is an absolute beauty. No one can do it like he does. Meet the person behind the persona in this intimate David Beckham biopic.”

Speaking on the reaction to the series, David previously told the SmartLess Podcast: “In all honesty, one of the reasons why I wanted to do the documentary was for my family.”

“I wanted them to have something all in one place for them to watch and for them to look back and reminisce. And that’s what really we created.”

“You know, there was a hell of a story there from the upbringing, to the different clubs that I played for, to the ups and the downs and my career was always kind of a rollercoaster, but obviously I was very lucky to be as successful as I was because of the team that I played for and the team-mates that I had.”

“In all honesty, I’m shocked with the reaction to the documentary, I can’t believe the reaction that we’ve had to the documentary,” he added

New Delhi: Sidharth Malhotra has shared a major blast from the past moment from ICC World Cup 2023.

The actor has shared a picture of himself with his wife, actress Kiara Advani, and football legend David Beckham.

The Manchester United icon paid a visit to India as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador (more on that later).

The picture is from India’s semis clash against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Sharing the photo, Sidharth wrote, “#ThrowbackThursday to the unforgettable 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup Semi-Finals in Mumbai, where India claimed a thrilling win!

Had an amazing time cheering alongside football legend David Beckham and my cheer partner, Kiara Advani.”

The high-octane face-off was also attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and John Abraham.

On Koffee With Karan Season 8, Kiara Advani also shared her experience of meeting David Beckham. She said, “I was at the semi-finals (Cricket World Cup 2023), and I happened to be sitting next to David Beckham. And someone around us was talking about how India is on this lucky streak with the way we are playing.”

Quoting David Beckham, Kiara Advani added, “He (David Beckham) said to me, ‘It’s not luck. It’s someone’s hard work.’ And, it hit me. I really resonated with that because it’s never just a fluke. It’s never just like a stroke of luck. It is always a team, in our case of course. And many people’s hard work. It’s talent, skill, and hard work. If you don’t have that, no matter if the stars are in your favour, not everyone hits it out.”

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra recently attended the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2024 in London. Sharing the pictures from their time enjoying the sport, Kiara wrote, “I have to be honest I was recently introduced to tennis by my husband and this has been the best experience ever! @wimbledon live, centre court, strawberries and cream and a fabulous game – doesn’t get better!”
