Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Jennie told how she had written to Princess Diana asking if she could have a “cup of coffee” with her.

She shared: “To my amazement, I was invited to the palace about three weeks later, and it was the first of two or three conversations – long, long conversations we had just the two of us – in which I asked everything I felt like asking her.

“All the stuff pretty much that she shared in Panorama five months later, she told me at the time.

“There were three of us in the marriage marriage, it was a bit crowded.

“She told me she thought Camilla had been loyal and discreet.

“She told me that she knew now at that stage that the love that Charles had for Camilla was stronger than any marriage he might ever have made.

“And she was very resigned and relaxed really about the situation, this was after the separation.”

The palace meeting with Jennie occurred in 1995, three years after Charles and Diana – parents to Prince William and Prince Harry – had separated in 1992.

She added: “We were pretty well aware of what the situation was but had not heard her true feelings about it.

“I was gobsmacked by nearly everything she told me.

Jennie shared how she had kept Diana’s secrets, upon request of the royal mum-of-two.

Equally, in a series of interviews Harry has given since stepping back as a working royal, he has made some bombshell claims against his brother and other senior royals, opening up about some of the reasons why he felt he had to move his family to California and leave life inside the monarchy behind.

In Spare, Harry traced some of the issues between him and his brother all the way back to their childhoods and explored how in his view, their different roles and destinies within the House of Windsor had such a big impact: with his own role as the second son, a foil to William as the heir, creating competitiveness between them from a young age.

For his part, William has reportedly said when Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping back as working royals – according to the Sunday Times – “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that anymore; we’re separate entities. I’m sad about that”. The last few years have seen the brothers rarely come together, and only attend a handful of major events – like their grandparent’s funerals and King Charles’s coronation – together. The birthday message therefore came as a surprise to many, but one royal expert has claimed that despite the fact it is for many royal fans a welcome step in the right direction, they shouldn’t expect the brothers to fully set aside their differences any time soon.

“I still think things are too sensitive for a meaningful reconciliation with William, but the fact that he and Catherine authorised the greeting to be posted is definitely an unexpected turn of events. I don’t think we should hold our breath for the step to really signal the start of a reconciliation, but it was an unexpected turn of events,” explained Jennie Bond – formerly the BBC’s royal correspondent – to OK magazine.

However, Bond noted that in her opinion, Kate’s recent health challenges were likely to have informed the move, and pointed out that the future Queen’s comments in a recent video released to announce the end of her chemotherapy included some about how her experiences had helped shift her perspectives. “William has so much on his plate at the moment that I don’t think he has room in his heart or head to deal with all that has gone on with Harry,” the expert added. “While the brothers may never be close again, or even live on the same continent, it doesn’t mean that the future has to be full of bitterness and bad blood. Catherine is right. Family should always be paramount.”

The Duke of Sussex, who recently turned 40, appears to have taken a solo trip to Lesotho and South Africa, with no mention so far of wife Meghan Markle, or their two children Archie and Lilibet, joining him. Dressed in a white shirt, dark blazer and slim-fitting jeans, Harry smiled as he stood with Lesotho Senate Seeiso in a snap she posted to her Instagram page. The 22-year-old wrote: “Had a pleasure of hosting a lunch today”, as she shared the image in a reel.

During his visit, Harry is expected to gather with world business leaders and philanthropists in the region to work towards fostering prosperity in Southern African communities, specifically for young people.

David Beckham and King Charles have met at Highgrove where the former footballer was named as an ambassador for the monarch’s charity, the King’s Trust.

During their meeting the two ended up bonding over their shared passion of beekeeping.

Speaking after the event, David joked: “Having developed a love for the countryside

I’m also on a personal mission to learn more about rural skills which is so central to the foundation’s work.

“It was inspiring to hear from the King about the work of His Majesty’s foundation during my recent visit to Highgrove Gardens – and compare beekeeping tips!”

David also spoke of his joy at becoming an ambassador for the charity, adding:

that of David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham have passed through trials and they came back stronger than ever.

And on Thursday, July 4, they celebrated their 25 years wedding anniversary while once again proving that love indeed conquers all.

The couple met at a football stadium, back when Victoria was in a girl band “Spice Girls,” and David was a midfielder for Manchester United.

Although David claimed that prior to their first meeting, he saw Victoria in a Spice Girls video in 1996,

and immediately told his teammate Gary Neville “‘That one there, that’s the girl I’m going to marry.’”

Anyway, the couple got married on July 4, 1999, exactly four months after the birth of their first son Brooklyn Beckham.

Three years later, in 2002, they welcomed their second son Romeo Beckham. Exactly a year later, David was captured at a nightclub with a woman Rebecca Loos who happened to be his assistant at the time, and it immediately sent marital struggle signals to the public, and paparazzi ran with the news.

Few months down the line, tabloids reported that the footballer was having an affair with his assistant. To make matters worse, Rebecca’s brother Charles told the “Daily Mail” in April 2004, “Rebecca phoned home early this morning. I am overwhelmed with shock. Rebecca was upset when she parted company with David and Victoria last year. She became very down and cried a lot. At times she looked heartbroken. I thought it was because of professional reasons. And here’s the thing: We were against each other, if I’m being completely honest.” During a May 2024 appearance on Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett’s SmartLess podcast, David revealed that one of the secrets to their long-lasting marriage was the fact that they stood by each other through the hardships. “Of course, when you’re with someone for that amount of time, of course you have your ups and downs, everybody knows that and at the end of the day we were lucky because we had each other at those moments.”

The late Queen’s granddaughter, 36, and her husband, 40, are set to welcome their new addition to their family next year in early spring and announced the news with two adorable family snaps. The royal baby will be a little brother or sister for the couple’s three-year-old daughter Sienna, and Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s son and Beatrice’s stepson, eight-year-old Wolfie.

Two new pictures from the family shared to mark the announcement and show blonde-haired Sienna from behind as she walks along a country lane, holding hands in the middle of her father and big brother Wolfie. The youngster, with a red bow in her hair, is kitted out in bright yellow wellies and an all-in-one blue waterproof puddlesuit decorated with cloud and bird motifs.

In another picture, an overjoyed Beatrice – wearing a black puffer jacket – smiles at the camera, while being embraced by Mr Mapelli Mozzi, who is gazing at his wife. Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring; a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three. His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

The happy news comes during one of the Royal Family’s most personally challenging years, with the King, the Princess of Wales and Beatrice’s mother Sarah, Duchess of York all being diagnosed with cancer.

Sarah was treated for malignant melanoma skin cancer in January, just months after undergoing a mastectomy for breast cancer, but Beatrice said in May the duchess had been given the “all clear”. Meanwhile, last month, her dad Prince Andrew’s controversial Newsnight grilling over his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein hit the headlines once again, with Prime Video’s new dramatisation A Very Royal Scandal.

Beatrice is the eldest daughter of the Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah, and the new baby will be the Yorks’ fourth grandchild. The baby, who will not be an HRH, will be born 11th in line to the throne, with Beatrice’s younger sister Princess Eugenie moving down to 12th place.

He or she will also be the 14th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the second to be born since her death in 2022, following the arrival of Eugenie’s second child Ernest last year. Eugenie also has an older son called August.

It’s not expected that the King will hand out a title to the newborn when he or she arrives. But the baby will get a unique title thanks to Edoardo, who is actually an Italian count.

Speaking to the Daily Mail previously Edoardo’s dad, Count Allessandro Mapelli Mozzi, explained: “Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation. He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”

Beatrice topped the list of Tatler’s best dressed people in 2024, and was praised for being “a beacon of sartorial elegance” by “pairing vintage-inspired cuts with fresh-from-the-catwalk glamour”. She married millionaire property tycoon Mr Mapelli Mozzi in a secret lockdown wedding in 2020 attended by her grandparents the Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, after her planned ceremony was postponed because of the pandemic.

Known as Edo, Mr Mapelli Mozzi is the son of former Olympic skier Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Williams-Ellis. His son Christopher Woolf, nicknamed Wolfie, was born in 2016 to his then-girlfriend, American architect and designer Dara Huang.

Beatrice has described Wolfie as her “bonus son” and he joined the Mapelli Mozzis at Kate’s Together At Christmas carol service in Westminster Abbey last December, holding hands with his stepmother as he arrived.
