Meghan Markle has “strategically chosen to hold off” from following in Prince Harry’s footsteps and releasing her own tell-all memoir for one key reason, an insider has claimed.

In January 2023, Harry’s explosive memoir ‘Spare’ saw him make several bombshell claims against several members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, Princess Kate, King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Since then, speculation has swirled Meghan could make a similar move to her husband but she has seemingly instead chosen to focus on the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

However, one insider believes the Duchess of Sussex may be holding out for the opportune moment to release her own tell-all book for one reason – and any authorised biography could make her “tens of millions”.

A source told Closer Online: “The word in publishing circles is that everyone’s mad to land Meghan’s memoirs and the numbers being thrown around are ridiculously high.

“We’re talking tens of millions for her authorised biography – it’s going to get to the point where she can’t say no.

“And love her or hate her, there’s no denying that she has an insight into the royals that no one else can share.”

They added: “She’s strategically chosen to hold off for the sake of peace, but she absolutely wants to share her truth – and why shouldn’t she?”

Prince Harry’s memoir Spare was a huge commercial success and reportedly earned him £27million, including an advance of at least £14 million, according to The Sun.

But relations with the Royal Family – particularly those with William – completely fell apart following the claims he made against some family members.

Harry travelled to the UK this week and was all smiles while attending an awards ceremony for the charity WellChild, although it is understood he did not meet any of the royals.

Meghan has not been pictured in the UK for more than two years since she and Harry were in the country when Queen Elizabeth II died in September 2022

Prince Harry has begged “people at the top” to “start listening” as he kicked off his solo trip to Africa without Meghan Markle.

After several days in New York last week and a fleeting visit to the UK earlier this week, the Duke of Sussex has now headed to Lesotho for his first trip to Southern Africa in five years. While there, he reunited with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, with whom he co-founded his charity Sentebale.

Set up in 2006, the organisation supports children and young people in Lesotho and Botswana living with, or who are at risk from, HIV. Last night, Harry caught up with Prince Seeiso around a bonfire at a children’s centre in the small country.

And there he talked about the impact of his Sentebale charity and made an impassioned plea. During a speech, Harry said: “We’re hitting the targets, not just Sentebale but all of the departments are, and it’s making a massive difference, and it is this surge of energy and optimism and the voice of young people ranging from six to 25 – and the biggest difference of which really needs more work, is when people from the top start listening.”

At the bonfire welcome event, Harry was also greeted by those who support Sentebale and enjoyed a performance from dancers and a choir. Earlier in the day, it emerged he had enjoyed lunch with Princess Senate Seeiso in Lesotho, which is often called the ‘Mountain Kingdom’.

During the rest of his Africa trip, Harry is expected to gather with world business leaders and philanthropists in the region to work towards fostering prosperity in Southern African communities, specifically for young people, with a series of events in Lesotho and Johannesburg, South Africa.

It comes after his brief trip to the London, which saw him appear at the WellChild Awards on Monday night where he paid tribute to the children and teenagers recognised by the charity, who act as carers, fundraisers or just carry on with life as they cope with debilitating conditions.

His brief trip to the UK came after a string of solo outings in New York last week, where he spoke at several high-level summits connected to the United Nations General Assembly and also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. While at the WellChild Awards, Harry met one of the winners, Scarlett Cripps, who was recognised for her uplifting attitude despite living with a number of complex medical conditions.

On meeting Harry, the 10-year-old gave him a set of crystal hearts – a blue one for himself, a green one for his son Prince Archie, a yellow heart for his daughter Princess Lilibet and a purple crystal heart for Meghan.

And afterwards, Scarlett’s mum, Aby Cripps, revealed: “Scarlett told Harry she filled the crystal hearts with love and whenever he had a bad day or sad day he had to squeeze the heart and it would show him how special he was and make him smile. He said it was a lovely gesture and he hadn’t seen his wife and his children because he was travelling here, so he’ll take it out later and squeeze them and it will remind him of his lovely wife.”

His brief trip to the UK came as relations with his father King Charles and brother Prince William remained strained. And despite travelling thousands of miles from California, it appears that Harry did not see his older sibling or his father, who is receiving treatment for cancer, during his brief stint in the country, as he remained in Scotland following engagements north of the border.

Royal Family LIVE: Expert warns Meghan ‘upset’ after William beats Sussexes at ‘own game’

A royal expert claimed Prince William’s latest move could be “upsetting” for Meghan Markle.

A royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle could be feeling “annoyed” after Prince William went viral with his surprise reunion with ex-Sussex friend, David Beckham.

The Prince of Wales was joined by the England footballing legend at RAF Northolt on Tuesday to mark the end of the London Air Ambulance’s ‘Up Against Time’ appeal that has raised £16m for two new helicopters, just hours after Prince Harry’s fleeting visit to the UK to attend the WellChild awards on Monday.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed a close bond with the Beckhams, with the couple attending their wedding in 2018, however, their relationship has reportedly become more strained over the years.

Asked by journalist Andrew Gold about whether Prince William “beat Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their own game” and whether his latest outing with David Beckham would “annoy” her, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said on his Youtube show: “Yes, I do think that this is something that will annoy Meghan Markle.

“After two weeks of bad press since Prince Harry’s been gone. I just think that she’s probably livid right now, based on the reaction that she’s getting from all of these stories. She’s had to deal with that while Prince Harry’s been out of town. That’s gotta be incredibly hard for her. And then to see this kind of victory moment from Prince William. A victory moment that she would tell you it should have been Harry’s moment after the WellChild awards, that would be upsetting to her.”

WILLS’ WEALTH How Kate Middleton & Prince William became billionaires – and their fortune eclipses Meghan Markle & Harry’s mere £30m

SINCE stepping back as senior royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been able to earn their own money through book sales and brand deals.

Their various ventures have helped the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to be worth around £30million – however, this is eclipsed by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wealth.

Currently the Prince of Wales is the richest member of the Royal Family with a net worth of around a staggering £1.05billion.

The heir-to-the-throne even beats his dad King Charles III, who is worth £900million, and it’s all thanks to what he was given when he became monarch.

Prince William became a billionaire when he took control of the 687-year-old Duchy of Cornwall estate from his dad following the Queen’s death.

Much of the estate comprises farmland, but it also includes homes and commercial properties, forests, rivers, coastline and around a third of the Dartmoor national park, which was once used for mining minerals such as tin and copper.

Prince William was already wealthy after inheriting £10million from his mum Princess Diana and £7million from the Queen Mother, who died in 2002.

Royal editor Ingrid Seward told Fabulous: “As working members of the royal family William and Kate have all their official expenses paid for by the sovereign grant including clothes for foreign visits.

“But even the vast private portfolio properties and investments which net the Duchy over £25 million a year apparently only leave poor Wills £6million after tax to play with.

“I think he can survive on that.”

Most of Harry and Meghan’s wealth comes from the Duke of Sussex’s inheritance from his late mother, who passed away in 1997.

The inheritance had grown to £10million by his 25th birthday, and after Meghan and Harry stepped back as senior working royals, they were free to support themselves independently.

The couple has also made commercial income from a now-defunct £18million deal with Spotify, as well as a deal with Netflix.

In addition to this, Prince Harry is said to have received a hefty sum for his bombshell Spare memoir.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had some large expenses, since quitting royal life, including buying their nine-bedroom, £12million mansion in Montecito, California.

Ingrid added: “Their Californian house is mortgaged and their expenses, by the time they have taken into account the security which follows them everywhere, are huge.

Prince William’s £1billion Duchy of Cornwall property portfolio

AFTER the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the royal family underwent a huge shake-up as the line of succession shifted.

Along with senior members taking on new titles, the royals £1 billion property portfolio also changed hands, from Charles to William.

The inheritance has made the new Prince of Wales the biggest private landowner in Britain – owning land across 20 counties in England and Wales.

Much of the estate comprises farmland, but it also includes homes and commercial properties, forests, rivers, coastline and around a third of the Dartmoor national park, which was once used for mining minerals such as tin and copper.

According to royal rules and regulations, the eldest son of the reigning British monarch inherits possession of the duchy and title of ‘Duke of Cornwall’ at birth or when his parent succeeds to the throne.

However, they must not sell assets for personal benefit.

The revenue from his estate is used to fund the public, private and charitable activities of The Duke and his immediate family.

“They also have to pay American tax on both their incomes.

“When they broker a deal with networks or publishers, they are not paid the whole amount up front.

“Harry and Meghan employ and pay for a large number of people to keep their meagre show on the road including an English PR man, who travelled with them on their recent Nigerian trip.

“They are not on the poverty line, but compared to the Prince and Princess of Wales they are paupers.”

This comes as the couple’s Archewell Foundation has reportedly been declared delinquent and ordered to stop raising money.

This is said to be a result of the Sussexes’ charity failing to submit records – and pay a bill.

The Telegraph reported Archewell had been slapped with a delinquency notice and banned from raising or spending money until it pays the fees.

It’s alleged the charity did not file its 2022 tax return or related costs on time.

The couple reportedly filed the docs and the cheque was sent, but it never arrived.

The Sussexes’ team was apparently not aware the cheque had been lost until it received the notice, dated May 3.

Harry and Meghan have been in Nigeria – with the duchess making a sweet nod to Lilibet on Mother’s Day.

They unveiled a partnership between Archewell and non-profit Giants of Africa, which aims to empower young people through sport.

    How is King Charles?

King Charles is set to take his first trip out of the UK since he was diagnosed with cancer.

It has been announced that he will be travelling to France to mark 80 years since D-Day and to stand with World War II veterans.

He is going to honour those who fought and died on the beaches of Normandy.

He will attend commemorations in both Portsmouth on June 5 and in northern France on D-Day itself on June 6.

This comes after the King returned to public duty as doctors were pleased by his response to his cancer treatment.

The palace confirmed that the King’s treatment is ongoing but doctors are pleased with his progress.

They said: “His Majesty’s treatment programme will continue, but doctors are sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far that The King is now able to resume a number of public-facing duties.

“Forthcoming engagements will be adapted where necessary to minimise any risks to His Majesty’s continued recovery.”

The palace revealed that while King Charles underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate, the unspecified cancer was found.

Friends and family of the Monarch have said his spirits remain high as he fights his latest health battle.

His Majesty’s treatment programme will continue, but doctors are sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far.

    Buckingham Palace

While a hospital outpatient, King Charles has continued to carry out his constitutional role — reading government papers and having weekly audiences with the Prime Minister.

It is understood Charles returned from Sandringham to London for his treatment.

The King’s family have rallied around him, which also saw his youngest son Prince Harry briefly flying in from America to be by his father’s side.

Here is a timeline of the King’s health battle so far in 2024:

    January 17

It was announced that the King was to have treatment for a benign enlarged prostate.

A statement read: “In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate.

“His Majesty’s condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure.

“The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.”

    January 26

The King was admitted to the London Clinic where he underwent a corrective procedure on his enlarged prostate.

At the time, Buckingham Palace said: “The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment.

“His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week.

“He is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”

Buckingham Palace announced the King has cancer.

Although the type of cancer Charles has not been revealed, it was stated that it was not of the prostate.

The statement read: “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted.

“Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.

“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties.”

You can read the full statement from Buckingham Palace here.

    February 10

In his first statement since his cancer diagnosis, the King offered his “heartfelt thanks” to the public for their support.

The monarch said: “I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days.

“As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.

“It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organisations which support cancer patients and their families across the UK and wider world.

“My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience.”

He is set to go to events in both Portsmouth and in northern France for the occasion.

What other health problems has King Charles had?

Charles has had a number of minor health problems throughout his life, including chronic neck and back pain and broken bones.

The King has also had other medical issues, such as a scratched cornea and undergoing knee surgery.

He has also undergone procedures to remove a non cancerous growth from his face as well as surgeries on his appendix and a hernia.

Charles has twice fallen from a horse, luckily not suffering any long term damage on those occasions, and damaged his larynx whilst playing polo in 1981.

CULTURE OF FEAR Rolf Harris assaulted me on Blue Peter & I was left alone with Savile – BBC should’ve protected me, says Yvette Fielding

ON the surface Blue Peter was a happy ship, where cheery presenters demonstrated the power of sticky-backed plastic and inspired Britain’s youth.

But behind the scenes of the world’s longest-running kids’ TV show its stars experienced a culture of fear and intimidation.

And none suffered more than the programme’s youngest ever host, Yvette Fielding, who joined in 1987.

At the age of 18 she was left a tearful wreck following allegedly ferocious roastings by Blue Peter’s legendary boss, Biddy Baxter.

But worse came when she encountered the two most notorious names in children’s programming at the BBC — Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris.

As well as Yvette, other Blue Peter presenters, including the late John Noakes, also complained about show editor Biddy’s fearsome attitude.

For Yvette, who went on to create the hit cable TV show Most Haunted and appeared in I’m A Celebrity . . .  Get Me Out Of Here! in 2015, the “abuse” made her life a misery.

Now 55, she recalls: “You were always told, ‘Biddy wants to see you in the beat room’, which was like a store cupboard.

“She’d sit behind this desk and basically tell me I was fat, I was useless, and at one point she said, ‘The only thing you’re good at is being with the dog’.

“They call it workplace anxiety nowadays, but it was really abuse.

“I think I was too young to join then.

“I had never done presenting before, I had only acted.

Netflix drops harrowing first trailer for Jimmy Savile documentary exposing the ‘evil within’ monster paedophile
“I froze, I was shaking, I wanted to be sick, I was in the bathroom an awful lot.”

    Told off

Biddy, now 90, who was in charge of Blue Peter from 1962 to 1988, had selected Yvette as the show’s new presenter.

But the pressure of performing on a live show, which was watched by eight million at its peak, was too much for the teenager.

There was no autocue or earpieces, and shortly before Yvette went on air, Biddy would change the script that she had spent the previous night learning.

Biddy even wanted a say in where Yvette lived and when her bedtime was.

Yvette recalls: “They put me with a family and she would ring up the home to make sure I was in bed by nine o’clock, and if I wasn’t, the next day I’d be told off.”

Yvette found a flat to share with other young people, but was ordered to move out.

Describing herself as a “homebird”, she says she found it tough to be away from her family in Cheshire.

Her co-presenters, Mark Curry and Caron Keating, were both supportive and the problems started to ease.

    But worse was in store.

When Yvette, whose autobiography is out at the end of this month, was left alone in a TV studio with Rolf Harris he used the opportunity to sexually assault her.

She tells The Sun: “It was very confusing and shocking — just bizarre to think Rolf Harris was squeezing and patting my bottom and I am standing there, thinking, ‘I don’t know what to do.

“Other people in the industry must have known what he was like and you left me alone in the studio with him’.

    “That shouldn’t have happened.

    “I must have been 18 or 19.

“I think a lot of them did know.”

The incident would have been in around 1988, when Harris was still hosting children’s programme Rolf Harris Cartoon Time and was one of the BBC’s most long-standing stars.

It was only in 2013 that his serial abuse of young women was made public after he was arrested as part of Operation Yewtree, the police investigation into sexual abuse claims against Savile and other celebrities.

Harris, who died last year aged 93, was convicted of sexually assaulting four girls — one aged just seven or eight.

Many of his victims felt that he had been able to carry out so many attacks because complaints were swept under the carpet.

Yvette, a former child actress whose first major role was in BBC kids’ drama Seaview aged 15, says there was a culture of cover-up in the TV industry back then.

She adds: “In my time it didn’t matter what went on — ‘Is the show doing well, are we getting good viewing figures?’

“‘Yes we are, keep going. Let’s cover it all over and get on with it’.”

She continues: “It was a different time when I was 18.

“The things people did back in my day, the pat on the bum and ‘Wahey’, all that.

“Back then it was just an everyday occurrence, we had sort of grown up with it.

“From what I heard, certain things were brushed under the carpet — and that should never, ever have happened.”

Yvette tells how she also felt uncomfortable in the presence of Savile, who died in 2011 before his sexual depravity became known.

She recalls: “He took my hand and started stroking it. ‘Look into my eyes’, he said, ‘And tell me what you’re thinking’.

    “He was grotesque.

“I just don’t understand why the BBC allowed him to get away with that for as long as he did.”

After Biddy Baxter retired in 1988, Yvette started to enjoy her time on the show.

But in 2012 Blue Peter was moved from BBC1 and relegated to the CBBC channel, which currently streams on iPlayer.

Biddy would sit behind this desk and basically tell me I was fat, I was useless, and ‘the only thing you’re good at is being with the dog’

    Yvette Fielding

Yvette insists it should be back on mainstream TV, and says: “I remember meeting Princess Diana and her saying, ‘William and Harry and myself love nothing more than to settle down, cuddle up on the sofa and watch Blue Peter’.

“And that’s gone, and that makes me really sad.”

After five years on Blue Peter Yvette switched to ITV kids’ show What’s Up Doc? before returning to the BBC to present The Heaven And Earth Show, followed by fly-on-the wall hospital programmes The General and City Hospital.

During her spell on City Hospital she met second husband Karl Beattie, who was a cameraman.

He proposed live on air as she was in an operating theatre with co-host Gaby Roslin, and Yvette recalls: “I said yes immediately because I knew I loved him.”

When the couple’s daughter Mary was born in 1999 Yvette was asked if she would give birth in front of the cameras, but she says: “I said no because I preferred it to be a private affair.

“I didn’t want to expose the nation to my privates — I am sure the nation wasn’t ready for that.”

But she was not asked to present another series of City Hospital after Mary was born.

She says: “I have always wondered if part of the reason was because I’d said no to showing my vagina on air.”

After the turn of the century Yvette became more of a stay-at-home mum, caring for Mary and her son William, from her first marriage to cop Barry Sweeney.

Her second hubby Karl suggested the idea for Most Haunted, filming Yvette spending the night in a haunted house.

They spent all their savings recording a pilot, but all the major channels turned it down before Living TV took it on, and it proved a massive hit.

Since then, US comedy show Saturday Night Live has done a sketch about the spooky series, and Girls Aloud, Boyzone and the Happy Mondays are among the celebrity guests spending time in haunted locations.

Karl and Yvette now tour theatres with their live show and produce a digital version of Most Haunted.

She thinks paranormal activity is on the rise and says: “Nobody wants to delve into it, and I think science should.”

Scream Queen, by Yvette Fielding, is out on May 30, published by Ebury Spotlight at £22.

BROKEN BOND Diana ‘would have made Harry apologise to Charles’, claims Paul Burrell, who says his bond with Wills is a ‘lost cause’

PRINCESS Diana would have made “Harry apologise to Charles”, according to former royal butler Paul Burrell.

The Duke of Sussex flew to the UK this month for a three-day visit, but didn’t meet up with his father or brother, Prince William.

Paul, who worked as Princess Diana’s butler until her death in 1997, said the late royal would have acted as a peacemaker between Harry and the rest of the family.

Speaking to Bella, the former staff member said: “There’s no love lost between Diana and Charles, but what was important to Diana is that both boys should have been influenced by both parents and she would have wanted them to respect their father.

“She would have made Harry apologise to Charles, and Diana would have been the broker of that – she was always the peacemaker.

“She wanted the four of them to stay together. It broke her heart when that disintegrated.”

Paul added: “The boys would have been glued to their mother and her word would have been final. Now there is nobody to sort them out, I’m afraid it’s a lost cause.”

During his UK trip, Prince Harry celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his Invictus Games – hosted for injured servicemen – at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Noticeably absent were King Charles and Prince William, although Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, and Diana’s sister Lady Jane Fellowes, were in attendance.

Prince Harry’s spokesperson released a statement about why he wasn’t meeting up with his father during the UK trip – but it made no mention of William.

It read: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
I know why Prince Harry and William’s explosive feud is here to stay – it’s so obvious, reveals royal expert
Harry did not see his brother Prince William – but had been “keen” to see his dad while visiting and was left “deeply stung”.

In further upset, Prince Harry was said to be “in tears” when he found out that Charles had given trained pilot William the new military honour of the Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, the same day he landed in the UK.

Harry, who trained as an Army Air Corps and served with them in Afghanistan, is said to have taken it as a “tremendous insult.”

If Harry and wife Meghan had not stepped down as working royals then it is thought the ceremonial appointment would have been his.

Harry and Charles last reunited at Clarence House in February for their first face-to-face meeting in 16 months.

The prince flew to the UK alone without Meghan or their children Archie and Lilibet.

William has been stung by his brother’s attacks and has not spoken to Harry since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

This follows Harry slamming his family in his bombshell Spare memoir, and criticising the royals in their Harry & Meghan documentary.

Harry’s upset over William’s new military position

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun:

It is absolutely no doubt [a snub towards Harry].

I think that Harry will be distressed by this.

Undoubtedly it’s something that he’s takes very personally, we know that what he’s done for the military family, for the Invictus games, which is a wonderful thing, and of course this featured a great deal in their visit, which was private to Nigeria.

But the fact simply is that the King is making somebody he trusts colonel in chief.

I mean this can generously be described as a mess, but it’s a serious issue, because it it tends to show that communication has gone totally haywire, and that’s a generous interpretation of it.

I frankly can see why the Sussexes haven’t been trusted.

Charles, 75, resumed public duties this month for the first time since beginning cancer treatment.

During Harry’s trip, the King met members of the public at a Buckingham Palace garden party just over two miles away.

Sources claimed the monarch had agreed to let his distant son stay in a royal residence for the trip – but the offer was turned down.

Charles reportedly had agreed to put Harry up at a secret royal residence knowing he does not have a UK base, according to The Telegraph.

Harry said no because it would leave him staying in a “visible location with public entrance and exit points and no police protection”, it has been claimed.

Harry ended up staying in a hotel, which he could leave unnoticed.

FAMILY TIES Princess Diana’s siblings: where are they now? From Charles Spencer to Lady Sarah McCorquodale

PRINCESS Diana passed away in 1997 and her legacy has been kept alive by her family ever since.

How many siblings did Princess Diana have?

Princess Diana came from a large family and was one of five children.

Their parents were John Spencer and Frances Shand Kydd.

The couple divorced in 1969 and John was awarded sole custody of the children.

Diana’s younger brother Charles told The Sunday Times in 2020 of his parents’ split: “Our father was a quiet and constant source of love, but our mother wasn’t cut out for maternity.

“Not her fault, she couldn’t do it.

“She was in love with someone else — infatuated, really.”

Who are Princess Diana’s brothers and sisters?

    Lady Sarah McCorquodale

Lady Sarah McCorquodale is one of Diana’s older sisters.

She was born on March 19, 1955, and is the eldest of the siblings.

Despite remaining out of the spotlight since her sister’s death, she had remained close to her nephews Prince William and Prince Harry.

Lady Sarah was the one responsible for introducing then Prince Charles to Diana after briefly dating him herself.

She reportedly said to Time magazine in 1978: “There is no chance of my marrying him. I’m not in love with him.
Princess Diana’s favourite photograph revealed as part of new exhibition that captures iconic snapper’s images of royals
“And I wouldn’t marry anyone I didn’t love whether he were the dustman or the King of England.”

Charles and Diana first met at a shooting party in 1977 at the Spencer family home in Althorp when she was 16 and he was 29.

Sarah got married a year before her sister in 1980 to Neil McCorquodale.

The couple have three children, Emily, George, and Celia and are still together today.

Lady Jane Fellowes is Diana’s second eldest sister who was born on February 11, 1957.

She is said to be the most academically gifted of the Spencers with “hatful” of O and A Levels at West Heath boarding school in Sevenoaks, Kent.

She married Robert Fellowes when she was 21.

He was assistant private secretary to the late Queen and a first cousin of Ronald Ferguson, the father of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

Diana was a bridesmaid at their wedding at Westminster Abbey.

The couple went on to have three children, Laura, Alexander and Eleanor.

Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell claimed the sisters hadn’t spoken “in a number of years” before Diana died.

He said that the strain occurred because of Lord Fellowes’ role as the Queen’s secretary.

However other insiders have denied any difficulty.

After Princess Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997, Lady Jane and Lady Sarah accompanied King Charles to bring her body back to the UK.

In 2017, Sarah and her brother Charles opened up about the tragedy in the BBC documentary, Diana 7 Days, and explained that Lady Jane called them and broke the news.

A ROYAL expert who watched Prince Harry grow up says she knows why he won’t ever to return to royal life.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said Harry would be a “great asset” for the palace.

But she said California-based Harry now has the “domestic bliss” he lacked as a child.

Appearing on today’s episode of The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Bond said: “I can’t see Harry returning, really.

“And yes – I do miss him. Harry was the most popular royal a couple of years ago, wasn’t he?

“Having watched him grow up and knowing him just a little bit, he was a wonderful little boy and a charming, jovial adolescent.

“At least that’s what we saw. He was brilliant for the royal family, he did bring a natural common touch and relatability.

“They would have been a great asset had he stayed but I don’t think he will return.

“If I did pray I would pray that he has a happy life now with all that he wanted.

“The freedom he craved, the wife he loves and the children he adores.

“The model of domestic bliss that he didn’t have in his own adolescence.

“I wish him all the best.”

It comes after Harry said he was unable to return with Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to the UK “because it is too dangerous”.

Harry lost his legal fight against the removal of his taxpayer-funded UK security in February.

The Sussexes were stripped of their round-the-clock protection when they stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

They now live in a mansion in Montecito with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
