Who left BBC Strictly Come Dancing? Fans stunned over Nick Knowles’ exit

The Strictly Come Dancing results show has left many BBC viewers with their jaws on the floor following a nail biting dance off

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left with their jaws on the floor when the latest celebrity eviction was revealed on Sunday.

Despite Nick Knowles being confirmed as the latest contestant to be given the boot hours earlier in an online leak, viewers were still surprised to see the DIY SOS star go.

Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their shock over Nick’s eviction, saying: “I can’t believe Nick is gone after all of that.” Another echoed: “Omg NOT Nick!!!! He was only just back and now he’s gone.”

“I love Shayne but I think Nick should have stayed,” someone else wrote on X. While another Strictly fan added: “Sad to see Nick go but Shayne deserved to stay. Nick certainly didn’t have an easy time on the show.”

As fans of the long-running BBC dance competition will know, a live show is recorded on Saturday night – with the results show being filmed immediately after. However, the result show airs almost 24 hours after it was recorded and a saboteur has long caused an issue for the BBC by revealing the results of the show before it airs.

Nick and Luba left the competition following a dance off against Shayne and Nancy during the third Results Show of the series. Both couples performed their routines again as they were in the bottom two; Shayne and Nancy performed their Cha Cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams. Then, Nick and Luba performed their Charleston to Rain on the Roof from the film Paddington 2.

With three votes in favour of Shayne and Nancy, they won the majority vote meaning that Nick and Luba would be leaving the competition. Head Judge Shirley Ballas also agreed and said she would have decided to save Shayne and Nancy.

When asked by Tess about their time on the show, Nick said: “I’ve really, really been surprised by how much I’ve loved doing it and by two things that happen. One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don’t want to let down your partner. The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba’s changes, she’s been amazing.”

Luba said: “I’ve never met someone as determined as you, and I remember you saying that if you do your best, you’ll be very happy. I think you did more than your best. Thank you.”

When asked by Tess about his partner Luba, Nick said: “Luba’s been amazing and just been so fabulous every day. And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow competitors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people. There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series.”

It is only week four of the competition and so far Olympic swimmer Tom Dean and his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova have been eliminated. As have iconic singer Toyah Willcox and her dance partner Neil Jones. However, many celebrities remain in the contestant and stand a chance to win the Glitterball Trophy in December.

Nick has been battling injury during his time on the show after first injuring his shoulder while fixing a car and later injuring his leg in rehearsals. He was granted a bye during week three, which was also Movie Week where he had been due to perform the Charleston to a song from the film Paddington 2.

However, he was finally able to perform the dance when he returned for week four and he was rewarded with modest scores from the judges – who marked him with 4, 6, 5, 6 – producing a grand total of 21. Other celebrities still in the running include EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and his dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas, Olympic icon turned Gladiators star Montell Douglas, who goes by the codename Fire, alongside her dance partner Johannes Radebe, and JLS singer JB Gill and his dance partner Amy Dowden.

On Saturday night, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and her dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec triumphed over the other contestants as they secured a whopping 39 points for their Charleston. They performed the dance to the sound of the Strictly house band’s rendition of Unhealthy by Anne-Marie, featuring Shania Twain.

Jamie and Michelle as well as opera singer Wynne Evans and his pro dancer partner Katya Jones were the only closest competition as both couples scored 34 points each from the judges.

Maya Henry talked about Liam Payne messaging her that he was going to die days before the former One Direction star fell to his death in Argentina.

Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, has died at the age of 31 while vacationing in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The singer’s tragic death comes at a time when his ex-girlfriend raised some severe accusations against him.
Maya Henry is currently receiving unnecessary online hate after she talked about how Payne would “play with death” in his messages.

The former One Direction star, Liam Payne, has died at the age of 31 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The singer’s tragic death comes a few days after his ex-girlfriend Maya Henry issued a cease and desist letter against Payne. She made several allegations against the Strip That Down singer, sharing that he repeatedly tried to contact her over the phone.

After Payne’s death, Henry’s comments have brought her online abuse from fans. In one of the recent interviews, Henry mentioned that Payne used to play with death and would tell her that he was going to die. Payne did not respond to the accusations before his death.

Liam Payne‘s death has brought all the attention to his ex-girlfriend Maya Henry, who spoke out against the singer last week. Henry shared on her socials about how Payne tried to contact her friends and family obsessively. She had also issued a cease and desist letter to Payne a few days earlier after accusing him of using One Direction fans to attack her.

In a recent conversation with Sameera Rachakonda and Brittany Deitch on The Internet is Dead podcast, Henry shared that Payne’s phone calls to her had turned extreme. She shared that it all felt like a manipulation tactic to her, sharing that she would then feel bad for him. Henry shared that Payne used to play with death and would message her, saying that he was not doing well and was going to die. She shared (via X):

I always felt like it was a manipulation tactic to keep me. I don’t know. It’s kind of complicated. But I always felt like it was so that I could continue to feel bad for him. And because he would always message me ever since we broke up, ‘Oh, I’m not well.’ He would always play with death and be like, ‘I’m gonna die. I’m not doing well.’

Henry also added that Payne would send messages to her mother Azteca Henry, asking her to have Maya contact him. Henry’s comments over the last couple of weeks have come under brutal social media bashing following the pop star’s death. However, Henry could’ve never anticipated the singer’s sudden death and is reportedly “in shock” over the tragic news.

A source told The Daily Mail after the news of Payne’s death that she found out about it only when a member of her team was contacted by a reporter. The source added, “Right now she is obviously in shock.” Henry sure doesn’t deserve the current online hate against her.

Meghan Markle risks being called a “hypocrite” with her latest controversial move, a royal author has claimed.

Meghan Markle has landed herself in hot water again after speaking about bullying during one of her recent appearances, just weeks after allegations of the same nature were made against her.

The Duchess of Sussex stepped out in Santa Barbara earlier this month to visit a youth organisation called Girl Inc where she spoke to teenage girls about being “one of the most bullied people in the world”.

Her visit aimed to highlight the teens’ experience of growing up in the digital age and help with the launch of a new digital-wellness programme called Social Media U, which is brought by Girls Inc. in partnership with non-profit organisation #HalfTheStory, however, much of the attention was drawn to the duchess’s comment about bullying.

Meghan’s claim came weeks after the latest “Duchess Difficult” drama which saw a number of current and former members of staff making a series of allegations against her and her behaviour towards them.

Now a royal author suggested that, even though the duchess has received harsh criticism since marrying Prince Harry, she risks being called a “hypocrite” with her latest move.

Christopher Andersen, author of The King, told Fox News: “In fairness, since marrying Prince Harry, she has been on the receiving end of some pretty scalding criticism – some of it legitimate, but much of it not.

“The amount of visceral anger aimed at Meghan online is quite remarkable,” he shared. “If Meghan feels unfairly targeted, she probably has every right to. But is it wise for someone who has been described as a workplace bully – whether it’s true or not – to complain that she is a victim of bullying? It may come off as just more egocentric whining. We’ve heard it all before.”

He added that there is “nothing wrong” with Meghan empathising with young girls who must deal with online bullying but urged the duchess to “resist the temptation to make it all about her.”

Following the media storm sparked by the latest comments, sources, went on to clarify to the New York Post that Meghan “talked about her experience with online bullying but never claimed she was the most bullied person in the world.”

It comes just weeks after The Hollywood Reporter published a damning report citing a current senior staffer who claimed that she acts like a “dictator in high heels” and colleagues are allegedly “terrified” of her and her “belittling” behaviour towards them.

Following that, Us Weekly published a cover story citing various current and former employees of the Sussex couple who rushed to Meghan’s defence and praised her for her “kindness”.

But after the ‘counter-attack’, fresh claims regarding Meghan’s attitude emerged after a courtier who worked for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they were working royals alleged to the Daily Beast that Meghan was a “demon” boss who had “psycho moments” during their service and made people “feel like s**t”.

The Duchess has not commented on the recent drama, however, it follows previous bullying allegations which were made against her back in 2018, which she has long and vehemently denied.

Prince Harry and Meghan humiliated after ‘star power’ fails as couple face ‘separation’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were given a damning verdict by a PR expert who said their “star power” as business partners has not been successful.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were brutally savaged by a PR expert who claimed the reason the couple are embarking on solo projects now is due to the fact that their “star power wasn’t as successful as they hoped”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared to have adopted a new business strategy after they made a series of solo appearances in recent weeks.

Prince Harry went on a solo tour in New York, London and southern Africa to promote causes close to him, while Meghan was seen attending events linked to her own projects.

Now PR specialist Mark Borkowski claimed there is a reason that caused their business separation.

He told Best magazine: “There has been a separation [of their work] for a while

    Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

“Harry is ‘going back to basics’ with a formula that worked well for him as a Royal Family member, but there’s also the realisation that the couple’s ‘star power’ wasn’t as successful as they hoped.

“They had to change the narrative.”

Meanwhile, another expert praised the Sussexes’s latest move and said they will both benefit from their brand separation.

Doug Eldridge, a celebrity branding and marketing expert and the founder of Achilles PR, told Fox News: “This is akin to splitting aces at the poker table: together you’d think they’re unbeatable — and normally they would be — but oftentimes it’s better to play two separate hands with an ace as an anchor.

“Right now, when you see Harry and Meghan together, it conjures an immediate association to the drama, none of which is positive: leaving the Royal Family, the tell-all book, the sit-downs, the negativity.

“By contrast, when seen separately, they can almost play their hand, just like the pair of aces you split at the table.”

He added that when Harry appears solo he can present himself as the “charming guy he was always thought of” while Meghan can be “free to brand her forthcoming line of goods”.

Prince William issues defiant message to critics as he’s quizzed in new ITV documentary

In a new teaser clip from Prince William’s new ITV documentary on homelessness, he is seen being quizzed on whether he’s the right person to lead a campaign about eradicating the problem

Prince William has sent a defiant message to critics who have questioned if he should lead a homelessness campaign.

The Prince of Wales features in a new teaser clip from an upcoming ITV documentary about his ambitious Homewards initiative, which is designed to eradicate homelessness in six locations around the UK. In the footage, the future King is quizzed about those who might question whether he is the right person to lead the project.

And in response, he insists he has “no other agenda” than “desperately trying to help” people in need through his drive to tackle homelessness and describes how he views his royal role as attempting to influence and help where he can.

In the clip, an interviewer probes: “There will be some people who might question whether you’re the right person to lead this project and its efforts to end homelessness. How would you respond to that?”

William replies: “I think everyone having a right to a safe and stable home benefits us all. I come with no other agenda than desperately trying to help people who are in need. And I see that as part of my role, is that, why else would I be here if I’m not using this role properly to influence and help people where I can?”

William himself has several homes – his main home Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, as well as his Anmer Hall mansion in Norfolk and Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace in London.

As heir to the throne, he inherited the Duchy of Cornwall estate – a portfolio of land, property and investments valued at more than £1billion – when his father became King, and the prince is entitled to its annual £23million profits as his private income.

He previously announced plans to build houses on Duchy land to tackle homelessness, with 24 homes in Nansledan, Newquay, alongside “wrap-around support” for local people to create a path to a permanent home. In the brief clip, the prince described how he liked a “big challenge” but needed support to combat homelessness. “And I like a big challenge, I do like that, but I can’t do it on my own,” he said.

The prince was followed for the Prince William: We Can End Homelessness programme during the first year of his Homewards initiative. The campaign is a major long-term focus for William, who has told how visiting shelters with his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales as a child left a deep and lasting impression and inspired his work.

Homewards aims to develop a blueprint for eradicating homelessness in all its forms, “making it rare, brief and unrepeated”. Six Homewards locations were chosen – Newport, Lambeth, Belfast, Aberdeen, Sheffield and three neighbouring Dorset towns, Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch – with the aim of delivering bespoke solutions to issues in each area.

Exclusive: Coleen Rooney’s I’m A Celeb stint sparks bumper payday for Becky Vardy as spat takes unexpected twist

ITV will have to licence the Wagatha Christie trademark from Rebekah Vardy to use it during Coleen Rooney’s upcoming appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here

ITV could have to pay Rebekah Vardy for Coleen Rooney’s appearance in the jungle.

The broadcasters will have to licence the trademark “Wagatha Christie” for use on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, as Rebekah, 42, owns the rights to it.

Now, sources say she should be due a bumper pay packet thanks to her nemesis Coleen – while the pair are still involved in an ongoing court battle over legal fees for their 2022 libel dispute.

Rebekah has been ordered to pay 90% of Coleen’s legal fees, but they now stand at £1.8million, which Rebekah is looking to reduce. A source said: “It’s quite funny that Coleen’s involvement is likely to be a money-spinner for Rebekah, given everything that’s gone on.

“Her Wagatha Christie trademark specifically covers broadcast, and the phrase is likely to be used throughout the series and for promo for it – there will surely be some brilliant themed Bushtucker trials. Of course they could refuse to use it altogether, but bosses are likely to want to have some fun with it.”

Some use of the phrase will be covered by fair dealing, but commercial activity is likely to require a licence from the broadcaster which could run into the thousands, depending on its use.

Last year, Rebekah, who is married to Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, was successful in trademarking the term under several areas, including Class 38 which covers broadcast.

A source said: “Rebekah has never capitalised on her trademark, she only did it to stop anyone else profiting from it – but it could earn her a nice little sum anyway.”

Rebekah Vardy on Im A Celeb

The phrase was coined by an online comedian, who joked that Coleen, wife of former Manchester United and England footballer Wayne Rooney, had played detective as if she was in an Agatha Christie novel.

The London Entertainment Inc Ltd tradmarked it on Rebekah’s behalf. In 2019, Coleen, 38, said she had suspected that one of her Instagram followers was leaking stories from her private page to the press.

She posted a now famous message claiming she had blocked everyone from viewing her Instagram Stories except one account – Rebekah Vardy ’s – and posted a series of false events which she said were then leaked.

During the 2022 trial, Mrs Justice Steyn found Coleen’s post was “substantially true” and ordered Rebekah to pay 90% of her costs.

Lawyers for Rebekah told a court that the £1,833,906.89 bill included costs for a lawyer staying at London’s Nobu Hotel as well as dinner, drinks and minibar charges.

They said there was “a ‘kitchen sink’ approach” to the calculations, which included £120,000 of costs to which Coleen “had no entitlement”. The court heard her barrister David Sherborne charged £497,850.

Last week, costs judge Andrew Gordon-Sake said there had been no misconduct from Coleen’s team. A line-by-line assessment of the costs is due later, and is likely to take place next year.

Coleen is in advanced talks with ITV to appear in the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, which would see her fly to Australia next month.

Rebekah appeared on the series in 2017.

Other stars set to appear include former Rangers star Ally McCoist and Strictly Come Dancing winner Oti Mabuse.

Newcastle explosion: Boy, 7, dies in suspected gas blast that rocked street

Emergency services were today called to the explosion in Violet Close, in the Benwell and Elswick area of Newcastle, and pictures show a horrific scene of destruction

A seven-year-old boy has today been confirmed dead following a huge house explosion.

The blast destroyed two homes in the Benwell and Elswick area of Newcastle today. A child and three adults were rescued and rushed to hospital but one boy, aged seven, has since died of his injuries.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police confirmed the death this afternoon. Northumbria Police Superintendent Darren Adams said: “It is with great sadness I stand before you today following the death of a young child. As a result of the incident here in the early hours of the morning a seven year old has sadly passed away. Despite the efforts of emergency services he died at the scene. This is a truly devastating outcome.

“I have no doubt the people of Elswick and Benwell and our wider region will want to join me in sending their thoughts and condolences to family and friends. The loss and pain they must be suffering is unimaginable.”

Shocking photographs taken by a drone have captured the utter devastation left on the residential street adjacent to the River Tyne. The roof is missing and debris has been blown across the front and back of the several properties.

“These enquires are still in the very early stage and in the coming hours and days we will continue to piece together what has happened so we can provide answers to the family as well as the wider public. We would appeal to anyone who has any information about what has happened to contact us.

“It is likely the cordon will remain in place for some time as we continue to carry out our investigations. This is an incredibly tragic incident.”

A source confirmed to The Sun that Liam has died.

The singer-songwriter was staying at Hotel CasaSur in the neighbourhood of Palermo.

Crowds of heartbroken fans are now gathering behind a cordon outside the accommodation to pay tribute to the guitarist.

Pablo Policicchio, the spokesperson for the security ministry of Buenos Aires, said police were called to the hotel by a worker about an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol”.

Witnesses at the hotel said Liam smashed his laptop and had to be carried back to his room in the erratic incident earlier in the day, TMZ reports.

Cops found Liam dead in the hotel’s inner courtyard at around 5pm local time (9pm UK time) when they arrived.

A red tent was put up over the body as cops began the investigation into the tragic death before the body was taken to the morgue.

The spokesperson for the local ambulance service said Liam’s death had been confirmed on the spot after he had fallen and suffered severe injuries.

Alberto Crescenti told local media: “The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur.

“At 5.11pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead.

“There was no possibility of resuscitating him.”

Tributes have begun to pour in for Liam with celebrities and fans alike sharing their heartbreak.

Liam’s final post on social media was put up on his Snapchat only minutes before his death and showed him and girlfriend Kate Cassidy looking into a mirror.

He had posted earlier in the day talking about riding horses, playing polo, and looking forward to returning home to see his dog.

“It’s a lovely day here in Argentina.”

Kate had also shared a post of Liam just before his death riding a horse with her in the countryside.

The star had arrived in Argentina on September 30 with his girlfriend and was seen at Niall’s show dancing and meeting fans on October 2.

Liam joined One Direction aged just 16 years old after auditioning on X-Factor and finishing third with the group.

He was with the group as it released its first Album Up All Night in 2011 and went stratospheric and captured hearts around the globe.

He was one of the main songwriters of the band between 2010 and 2016 until the group broke up.

He carried on with his own solo music career and released one solo album in 2019 – LP1.

The Sun revealed last week that Liam had parted ways with his management and had shelved plans for a second solo album.

And earlier this week Liam’s ex Maya Henry called in the lawyers after accusing Liam of repeatedly messaging her, her friends, and her mum.

The Wolverhampton-born singer was born August 29, 1993, and had early health battles and was bullied at secondary school.

He made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for X Factor in 2008.

An unearthed clip shows baby-faced Liam telling the cameras: “When I’m at school, in general, I think about singing all the time.

“I should really be concentrating on my school work but I just think about singing too much.”

After being eliminated as a solo artist he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four others to form One Direction.

Simon Cowell united Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles to form one of the biggest music acts ever.

Liam dated singer Cheryl Cole with the pair having a child named Bear in 2017.

They split in 2018 before he was linked to supermodel Naomi Campbell in 2019.

He had an on-off, three-year relationship with ex-fiancée Henry which was said to have ended for good in May, 2022.

The singer had been open about his battles with drugs.

In 2021, he blamed a “pills and booze phase” for bloating his face to “ten times the size”, while also revealing he used to guzzle the contents of his mini bar when band chiefs checked the lads into hotels to keep fans at bay.

In 2019, Liam revealed he suffered suicidal thoughts as he struggled with his fame he revealed on Ant Middleton And Liam Payne: Straight Talking.

He said: “For some certain circumstances I’m quite lucky to be here still.

“There are times when that level of loneliness and people getting into you every day, it’s like, ‘When will this end?’ That’s almost nearly killed me a couple of times.”

He survived by his son Bear, 7, his parents, Geoff and Karen Payne, and his two older sisters, Ruth and Nicola.

Police will now carry out an autopsy on the body.

Inside Liam Payne and Cheryl’s romance

    By Joanne Kavanagh

IT was a romance that caused a media storm.

One Direction hunk Liam Payne was in a relationship ship X Factor judge Cheryl.

The pair – who have a ten-year age gap – got together while Cheryl was going through her divorce to second husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini at the beginning of 2016.

Despite their age difference they looked completely infatuated with each other when the couple made their red carpet debut at Cannes in May 2016.

Liam even paid a sweet tribute to his girlfriend by getting a tattoo of her eye on his arm.

In 2017, Liam and Cheryl welcomed their baby.

Cheryl posted a picture on Instagram of Liam cradling their 7lb 9oz baby.

She captioned the sweet snap with: “On Wednesday Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy looking like a dream.”

One pal told The Sun: “Cheryl gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday, and both are doing well.

“Liam didn’t leave Cheryl’s side throughout the birth, and like her, he is besotted with their new son and can’t wait to take him home.

“This is the perfect Mother’s Day for Cheryl.”

The Sun revealed in May 2017, that the couple named their son Bear.

They decided on the unusual name after spending a week getting to know him.

Bear adopted his One Direction star dad’s surname, so he is called Bear Payne.

A source revealed: “Cheryl and Liam wanted to get to know [their son] before they decided on the name.

“They didn’t have the name Bear before the birth.

“But they’d been thinking of a name since meeting him and they just felt it suited him.”

In February 2018, The Sun broke the story that Liam’s constant travelling to promote his solo career had placed a huge strain on the relationship, and they were ready to split.

That same month, Cheryl declared that “none of it matters” as she shrugged off questions about her crumbling romance with Liam during a BBC Breakfast interview.

They then put on a united front together at the Brit Awards, where they smiled on the red carpet and Cheryl joked about the couple’s ‘safe word’.

However, by July 2018, Cheryl and Liam made the decision to split.

A pal told The Sun: “Cheryl and Liam worked really hard on their relationship – they had troubles earlier this year and were able to get through them.

“But they’re in different stages of their lives and, after a lot of careful thought, came to a decision that it’s best for everyone if they do go their separate ways.”

Liam and Cheryl then released a statement confirming their break-up.

They posted a message on social media that read: “We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It’s been a tough decision for us to make.

“We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”

Princess Diana’s most cherished snaps are revealed in new exhibition

Cradling in her arms a young boy battling cancer, Princess Diana can be seen staring intently at the child - and she did so with tears in her eyes, according to the photographer who captured the poignant moment on camera. The image is just one of thousands that Anwar Hussein, now 86, and his sons Samir, 44, and Zak, 43, who have followed in their father's footsteps, have taken of the Royal family over the years. But it also held a very special place in the late Princess of Wales 's heart.

Samir and Zak followed their father's footsteps into royal photography by capturing the lives of Diana's sons Prince William and Prince Harry , and now are multi-award winning and celebrated photographers themselves. The story behind Diana's 'favourite' photograph reveals that she met the youngster during her visit to Imran Khan's cancer hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, during April 1996. Sadly, he was gravely ill and did not survive. 'She was so sad when she found out the boy had passed away shortly after her visit,' the photographers note.

Another image reveals further how the late Princess related to children and adored her sons, William and Harry. Wearing a yellow jumpsuit, Diana can be seen putting all her attention to the young boys while on holiday in Palma, Majorca, in 1987. The trio sit in front of Prince Charles and Queen Sofia of Spain on the steps of Marivent Palace. Just three years earlier, Anwar had snapped the moment Diana left the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital following the birth of Prince Harry on September 16, 1984 in London.

Other iconic moments are captured on camera - including Diana's lone visit to the Taj Mahal in India in 1992. As Charles had engagements, the late princess cut a very lonely figure in front of the ivory white marble mausoleum, which stands as a timeless symbol of love. The now infamous photograph incredibly preceded one taken by his son, Zak, 24 years later while accompanying William and Kate on their tour of the country. Diana's 1992 trip to India also resulted in the unforgettable image of the royal shaking hands with the 'Untouchable', so-called because they are from the country's lowest caste.

There is of course an image of the unforgettable 'revenge' dress. On the same night in 1994 that Prince Charles admitted to the nation he had cheated on his wife, she attended a Vanity Fair party - and made sure the world's media was firmly fixed on her. Speaking to The Sun, Zak said: 'Sometimes you don't even realise you're documenting history until after, like this photo my father took of Diana wearing her 'revenge dress' on the night Charles made his notorious adultery admission on television.'
