Meghan Markle reacts to the explosive secret about Archie’s paternity revealed by Matt Lauer

Meghan Markle responds to Matt Lauer’s shocking revelation regarding Archie’s paternity (video)

During a guest appearance on a well-liked YouTube channel devoted to celebrity rumors, former NBC anchor Matt Lauer dropped a bombshell regarding the paternity of Meghan Markle’s son, Archie. The shocking revelation has caused waves throughout British tabloids and social media.

Even though Lauer never said outright that Archie wasn’t Prince Harry’s son, his well-chosen remarks and sly looks unnerved viewers.

Lauer made reference to his own demise as a result of sexual harassment claims while highlighting the perils of unquestioningly putting your faith in public individuals and the media. The media has a habit of presenting some couples in a particular way, he said, pointing a finger at the camera. Although fairy tales are promoted to us all, the reality is frequently much more mundane.

Lauer went on to cite a royal family-affiliated source who had leaked shocking details about Archie’s fatherhood. Lauer brought highlighted differences in the timeframe between Meghan and Harry’s relationship and Archie’s birth, despite the awfully hazy facts of this purported knowledge.

Suspense filled social media, with #ArchiePaternity going viral across the globe. There were several speculations and memes circulating.

While ardent supporters of Meghan Markle rejected Lauer’s allegations as the desperate ramblings of a disgraced media personality, some said that there might be more to the tale than meets the eye given Meghan’s conspicuous absence from recent royal festivities.

One aspect of Meghan Markle’s encounter with Lauer persisted as especially unnerving: her total lack of comment. Meghan has not yet responded to the circulating reports regarding Archie’s paternity, despite the international uproar around her name.

Others claim that this quiet says a lot. From her contentious relationship with her own father to her outspokenness on social issues, Meghan Markle has never been afraid to speak her mind. Her resounding silence on this subject contrasts sharply with her often frank remarks. Meghan Markle ignites the flames by refusing to address the rumors. Social media era silence can frequently be interpreted as acknowledgment of guilt or shame. Every day that goes by without Meghan saying anything lets the rumors fester and get worse.

Reporters who disagree say that Meghan is deliberately keeping quiet to shield her son from the media circus. This argument has some merit, but it’s crucial to keep in mind that Meghan seems to be hiding something the longer she remains silent.

The real story is still unknown. Matt Lauer’s reliability is called into question due to his past, even though he has a background in journalism. But the fact that a well-known media figure would comment in such a way on a royal child guarantees that the rumors will never stop swirling. There’s no turning back Meghan Markle’s silence on this one. Her carefully built reputation will be further harmed by these explosive charges the longer she puts off responding to them.

But it also held a very special place in the late Princess of Wales‘s heart.

‘Out of all the pictures you’ve taken, this is probably my favourite one’, she told Anwar.

Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition, is arriving in St Katharine Docks, London for the first time from May 25.

It has previously featured in Melbourne, South Carolina, Las Vegas and more to critical acclaim.

The exhibition consists of ‘larger than life images, bespoke art installations and first-hand narration’ in a 60-minute experience delving into the lives of the royal family.

Accredited by the Royal Family, the Husseins make up the longest-standing family of official royal photographers, having collectively spent over four decades working side-by-side with the princess and her family.

They received special access to document the lives of the royals in public, as well as capturing more intimate, private moments, including the unforgettable revenge dress which dared to break royal protocol and the princess’ simple handshake with an AIDS patient that showed the world how to be human.

Samir and Zak followed their father’s footsteps into royal photography by capturing the lives of Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry, and now are multi-award winning and celebrated photographers themselves.

The story behind Diana’s ‘favourite’ photograph reveals that she met the youngster during her visit to Imran Khan’s cancer hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, during April 1996.

Sadly, he was gravely ill and did not survive.

‘She was so sad when she found out the boy had passed away shortly after her visit,’ the photographers note.

Boris Johnson breaks silence after book claims Queen Elizabeth called him an ‘idiot’

The former prime minister has dismissed claims the late Queen called him an ‘idiot’ just two days before her death.

Boris Johnson has dismissed claims Queen Elizabeth II once referred to him as an “idiot” just days before her death, calling the allegations “highly unlikely”.

According to the book, titled ‘Out’ by Tim Shipman, the late Queen allegedly made the harsh comment during a family gathering at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Appearing on GB News, Boris denied the claims and told the host: “I think it’s highly unlikely that she said that.”

He added: “Because, of course, no prime minister organises the funeral. It’s done by DCMS.

“I think it’s possible that it’s malicious tittle-tattle and what I can say, as I do say by my book ‘Unleashed’, I only mention her for the second time in a very decorous way. What I do try to give a picture of what it was like to meet her and the truth about the relationship.”

Boris Johnson meeting Queen Elizabeth II

In his new book, Tim Shipman, claims Queen Elizabeth II joked, “At least I won’t have that idiot organising my funeral now” after accepting Boris Johnson’s resignation as prime minister.

In an additional quip about his personality, the author also claims the late Queen added that Boris was “perhaps better suited to the stage” and made the quip with “mischief in her eye”.

The incident allegedly occurred when the late Queen appointed Liz Truss as her 15th prime minister in one of the final official acts of her reign.

Further dismissing the claims on GB News, Boris questioned the source: “I’d like to know who the source of that is. I’m told by Shippers that it was a courtier to a Tory cabinet minister, which is three removed and I think it’s highly unlikely to be accurate.”

The author also notes the final few days of Queen Elizabeth II’s life had been “happy ones”. He penned: “She had enjoyed a gathering of her family and treasured staff two evenings before her death. The late Queen passed away on September 8, 2022, at Balmoral, which is where she had been staying for the summer.

Liz Truss, who was Prime Minister at the time of the late monarch’s death, has shared details from her final meeting with Queen Elizabeth II.

The late Queen had welcomed Ms Truss to her home in the Scottish Highlands on September 6, 2022, to appoint her prime minister, and because of her health issues she was not able to travel to London to do so.

According to Ms Truss, The late Queen told the former prime minister they would be “meeting again soon” at her final official engagement before her death.

The politician described the late monarch, who was 96 when she died, as appearing “frail”, but she said she was “mentally alert”, “absolutely on top of” the proceedings and reassured Ms Truss they would meet again soon.

She said: “In the meeting at Balmoral, she was absolutely on top of what was happening.

“She was very, very keen to reassure me that we’d be meeting again soon. It was very important to her.”

The book ‘Out’ by Tim Shipman is published by HarperCollins and is published on November 21.

Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer shares a photo of their late mother Frances Shand Kydd to mark the 20th anniversary of her death – as fans are quick to point out the family resemblance

Princess Diana‘s brother Earl Spencer has unveiled a stunning photograph of his mother Frances Shand Kydd – and fans have gone wild for the family resemblance to the late royal.

Charles Spencer, 60, who lives at Althorp House in Northamptonshire, took to Instagram on Monday to share a picture of his late mother ‘looking rather glam’ as he remembered ‘happier times’ on the 20th anniversary of her death.

The black-and-white image shows Frances, who passed away in 2004 at her home in Scotland, posing on what appears to be a beach, while sporting a stylish pinstripe top and headscarf.

Charles captioned the photo: ‘Remembering my mother, who died 20 years ago today, aged 68. She had a wretched final few years, health wise, and I prefer to think of her in happier times; here, looking rather glam, in the ‘60s.’

Royal fans were stunned by the picture, with many saying Frances appeared the double of the late Princess.

Frances continued to live a quiet life after Diana’s death and developed Parkinson’s Disease and brain cancer.

She passed away aged 68 on June 3, 2004 at her home in Scotland. Her funeral on June 10 was attended by her grandsons Prince William and Prince Harry.

A maverick in love! How Tom Cruise has had a string of A-list adorations as he ‘crushes on Angelina Jolie’ – but Hollywood titan was ‘rejected by Princess Diana because he’s too short’

Tom Cruise has been branded a heart-throb by fans throughout his long-spanning career in cinema – and has been the subject of many moviegoers’ desires for decades.

But the action star, 61, appears to have had his fair share of crushes as well.

A-listers including Angelina JolieShakira and even Ingrid Bergman are alleged to have won over affections of the actor.

And he has even gone on to date some of the women he set his eyes on – such as Penelope Cruz.

Here, FEMAIL looks at the leading ladies Tom – whose two-month fling with Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova ended in February – is understood to have had feelings for…

Tom is known to be a big fan of the British royal family - so it is perhaps no wonder that there is understood to have been a potential spark between him and the late Princess Diana. In 1992, when he was married to Nicole Kidman, Tom invited Diana to another London premiere of Far and Away

    PRINCESS DIANA

Tom is known to be a big fan of the British royal family – so it is perhaps no wonder that there is understood to have been a potential spark between him and the late Princess Diana.

In 1992, when he was married to Nicole Kidman, Tom invited Diana to another London premiere of Far and Away.

However, it has been reported that Diana might not have been quite so enamored with the actor as he was with the royal family.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady once recalled how Princess Diana said Tom was ‘off the list’ in terms of dating options because he was ‘too short’.

The royal had met with Tom again on the set of Mission: Impossible, and brought Prince Harry and Prince William along.

    ANGELINA JOLIE

Tom reportedly insists that Hollywood star Angelina is his ‘perfect match’ – according to insiders speaking to Heat World.

‘Tom raves about Ange’s intellect and what a strong, impressive woman she is. He loves that she’s never really conformed in Hollywood,’ the source said.

‘Plus, they’re both such superstars, only a handful of people can truly understand the life they live. That in itself creates a bond.’

They also claimed that Angelina has ‘seemed more open to getting to know him socially, too’.

The insider added that Tom is understood to be taking it slow with the actress, who split from fellow A-lister Brad Pitt in 2019.

And according to Page Six, sparks were flying, with a source talking to outlet claiming the action star was ‘extremely interested’ in pursuing the singer.

‘Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,’ they added, also joking that the 5ft 1′ performer ‘isn’t taller’ than 5ft 7′ Tom.

In a 2003 interview with Marie Claire, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, Tom opened up about the ‘little things’ he liked to do for the star.

He said: ‘She’ll come home, and I’ll have her favorite kind of food made, have a bath drawn. I like doing stuff like that. She likes my food, so I cook for her. It’s always the little things I like in a relationship.’

And it’s clear that the beginning buds of romance were blossoming on set. Reflecting  on their relationship in a 2002  interview with Vanity Fair, Tom said: ‘As a person and on film, she invites you in, and she’s incredibly romantic,’ he says, quietly and seriously, furrowing his brow.

‘And yet you know? She’s beautiful. She’s a very skilled actress, but has an effortless quality about her. You look at Audrey Hepburn. She had that kind of elegance and yet was accessible.’

The pair eventually went their separate ways in 2004.

    INGRID BERGMAN

Ingrid Bergman is known for her timeless talent and Old Hollywood glamour – and it would appear Tom thinks so too.

The actor has in past told People Magazine that the actress is his first ever crush, after seeing her in the Alfred Hitchcock thriller Notorious.

In it, she plays the daughter of a German war criminal enlisted by a US government agent to help infiltrate a circle of Nazis who fled to Brazil after World War II.

… AND IT GOES BOTH WAYS!

However, as much as the actor seems to have worn his heart on his sleeve, it appears that there has been no shortage of A-listers who have had a crush on him too.

As reported by Huffington Post, Tom’s ex-wife Katie Holmes had even once admitted that he was her childhood crush, who she thought she was ‘going to marry’.

Elsewhere earlier this year, Tom was said to be ‘flattered’ that Irina Shayk has placed him at the top of her list of potential new boyfriends – but dating the Hollywood star may be a mission too impossible for the supermodel, with insiders revealing he has no plans to date after splitting from his ex.

Cruise reportedly landed on Russian bombshell Shayk’s list of suitors following her on-off, six-month fling with seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady.

But while charmed by her apparent interest in him, an insider told DailyMail.com that Cruise is focusing his attention on movie making and is taking a much needed break from dating after his two-month fling with Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova ended in February.

‘Tom is flattered that someone as beautiful as Irina would consider him relationship material – but as much as he is flattered, Tom’s first love is making movies, and that is going to take up most of his time,’ they said.

‘Whoever he does eventually get involved with will have to deal with that.

‘Would he ever meet Irina and see if sparks were to fly? Anything is possible, but Tom and Irina ever dating would lean towards the impossible.’

DailyMail.com contacted reps for Cruise and Shayk for comment at the time.

Last week, it was also reported that Shayk had taken a shining to Cruise, with an insider telling Page Six: ‘Irina is looking in Europe and in the USA.

‘She is shopping, but her dating pool is a tiny group of people. She needs famous, good looking and money. How many of those are there? Five, 10?’

Victoria Beckham’s daughter Harper, 13, shows off expensive makeup routine in glam new video

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham’s teenage daughter, Harper, showed off her expensive makeup routine.

Victoria Beckham's daughter Harper, 13, reveals very expensive makeup routine

The 13-year-old, who is sister to Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn Beckham, filmed a ‘get ready with me’ clip for her mother’s Instagram page. She stood in a lavish hotel room as she applied makeup using her fashion designer mum’s Victoria Beckham Beauty products.

Harper started with a lipliner, which retails for £26 on the VB website, before going over it with a £30 clear gloss. She showed off the product to the camera and the video ended with the very simple and gorgeous look for the teen. Harper was getting ready for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards.

While at the awards ceremony, the teen introduced her mother on stage to collect the accolade for Entrepreneur of the Year. As reported by Harper’s Bazaar, she said: “The winner is someone I have always looked up to. [She’s shown] me the value of working hard, dreaming big and setting my standards. […] Tonight I am so proud to present the Entrepreneur Of The Year award to a truly inspiring woman who means the world to me, my amazing mummy, Victoria Beckham.”

Right before accepting her award, Posh Spice gushed over her daughter and said she had given the introduction with “such poise and such elegance”. She then said to her beloved daughter Harper: “I am so proud of the incredible young lady that you have become.”

It comes after it was reported that football icon David and Spice Girls star Victoria are preparing for Harper to have a career in the public eye in the future. The speculation comes amid the Sun reporting that Victoria has incorporated a business, H7B Limited, for the future and it’s been teased that Harper could land lucrative brand deals when she’s older.

A source told the Sun: “There is huge demand from brands who see her as someone lots of other teens would look up to. Posh and Becks can see her potential and she wants to try some things out in the public eye.” They added that the “wheels are in motion” to “slowly book some jobs” for Harper.

The source also told the publication: “Right now, this is purely an administrative thing.” They went on to say that Harper’s parents have “no immediate plans” for anything “commercial,” with the source describing the possible business as an “exciting” option for her in the future.

Harper Beckham is the only daughter of UK celebrity royalty, with her father footballing legend David Beckham and her mother Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

But while it’s perhaps no surprise to learn that big plans are being made for the 13-year-old’s future, when it comes to Harper stepping into the limelight, one of her parents is reportedly much keener than the other.

This week, Harper introduced her mother on stage at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards at swanky restaurant Claridge’s in London. Praising her mum for showing her the value of “working hard, dreaming big and setting my standards” she said: “I am so proud to present the Entrepreneur Of The Year award to a truly inspiring woman who means the world to me, my amazing mummy, Victoria Beckham.”

In turn Victoria, 50, praised her youngest child for her poise and elegance, saying she was “so proud of the incredible young lady that you have become”. The Sun recently reported she had incorporated a business, H7B Limited, for the future with speculation Harper could land lucrative brand deals.

A source told the paper: “Posh and Becks can see her potential and she wants to try some things out in the public eye.” They added that the “wheels are in motion” to “slowly book some jobs” for Harper.

Harper is incredibly well-connected when it comes to showbiz – a permanent fixture on the front row of her mother’s high-end fashion shows as well as being spotted watching her father’s Inter Miami CF football team in Florida. She was just seven-months-old when she attended her first fashion show, sitting on the lap of her father David, next to fashion queen Anna Wintour.

Just last month, Victoria teased that Harper was following in her footsteps at the launch of her new perfume Reverie in New York. As previously reported, one clip shared by Victoria showed Harper writing her hopes for the future on pieces of card, including that she will “create an amazing brand when I’m older”.

Victoria wrote in her caption: “Harper Seven following in mummy’s footsteps and putting her hopes and dreams out there”. But while she has regularly appeared on her family’s Instagram accounts over the years, her footballer father is set to be more cautious when it comes to putting her in the spotlight. David and Harper are incredibly close, with him regularly doing the school run from their £31 million mansion in London’s swanky Holland Park.

“There has always been a fear that because Harper is the only girl, she will have a much bigger profile than her big brothers,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She’s a lovely girl and David just wants her to stay innocent for as long as she can. Basically, they just do not want her to turn into Paris Hilton.”

Speaking to the publication ahead of her speech for her mum this week, Harper confessed: “I’m so nervous, especially as tonight’s a school night. She’s built an incredible business from the ground up and has shown me the value of working hard,” the teenager added of her businesswoman mum.

“But above all, she’s taught me to always be kind and, even though she has a million things to do, she rarely misses school.” Harper was being filmed for Victoria’s upcoming Netflix documentary on the night, with big brother Romeo, 22, congratulating her for her speech on Instagram. Her impeccable pedigree means she could make a fortune in the future, with her status as one of the most famous 13-year-olds in the country a “dream” for beauty brands aimed at teenagers.

  • I’m battling cancer like Princess Kate did, here’s what I think of ‘smoker’ claim

I’m battling cancer like Princess Kate did, here’s what I think of ‘smoker’ claim

    Robert Fisk

Cancer has a visible effect on the body of those of us battling it (Image: Humphrey Nemar/Daily Express)

Cancer, and the ongoing treatment to keep me alive, has completely ravaged my body. My bowel is riddled with scar tissue, chemotherapy has caused osteoporosis in my spine, and my liver has been close to failing several times.

And every time I walk down the street or get on a bus I worry that people are judging me for how I look.

Since starting chemotherapy last summer I’ve put on at least two stone in weight due to steroids, my face has acquired a very unsexy pinkish red rash, my hair has many shades of grey and is a lot thinner than it’s ever been before, and I have a massive hernia that surgeons might not be able to operate on.

So when I saw the post by outspoken Good Morning Britain commentator Narinder Kaur about Kate, Princess of Wales, on Remembrance Sunday, when she wrote on X: “Genuine question – why has Kate aged so much? Isn’t she only 42? Is she a smoker? It’s the only explanation,” you can see why I was absolutely furious.

I’m on cycle 30 of my chemotherapy and, as a “lifer” in the cancer day unit I’ve witnessed as both men and women come to terms with how the disease has changed how they look.

None of us have had to do this under the spotlight that the Princess of Wales has had to endure. And, quite frankly, none of us look as good as she does after her treatment for cancer.

    Princess Kate

Princess Kate was questioned over her apparent ageing (Image: PA)

As she stood on the balcony overlooking the Cenotaph Princess Kate looked solemn and she looked cold. That’s it.

I don’t know what version of events Narinder Kaur was watching but I think everyone in my day unit would agree that what Ms Kaur said was despicable.

As her harsh words began to unravel she tried to justify herself by saying she was just asking about ageing.

I’m a child of the 1980s and was always taught it was rude to ask a woman her age. So genuine question, as she would say, why did Ms Kaur think that it was acceptable to post about ageing?

Instead of trying to justify herself by saying that her brother didn’t age during his cancer battle, why didn’t she appreciate that everyone with the disease is different?

Just because her brother looked a certain way, it doesn’t mean that everyone with cancer will look like that.

I’d love to look the way that I did before cancer (I’d especially like to be as thin as I was when I was 15) but I don’t have that luxury.

Instead, I’ve tried to come to terms with my disease-ravaged body, so when people like Ms Kaur question Princess Kate’s appearance it makes it more difficult for cancer sufferers like me to accept the way I am.

So here’s some advice for Narinder Kaur: Next time you have a “genuine question” about the way someone looks, just ask someone close to you instead of using it as a way to generate clicks and engagement on your social media accounts.

Fighting cancer is a tough enough battle both mentally and physically without being in the public eye, so it’s best to think before doing your best to be outspoken.
