‘Greedy’ Meghan Markle is ‘being laughed out of Hollywood’ by A-listers

Meghan Markle might be one of the most famous women on the planet — but Hollywood power players are purportedly less than impressed with her showbiz prowess.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, is said to be scrambling after the launch of her forthcoming podcast with Lemonada Media was reportedly pushed back to next year.

According to In Touch, honchos at the company put the project on pause for fear that the upcoming launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, would take attention away from her audio endeavors.

“Meghan gets greedy,” an inside source told the publication.

“She wants everything all at once, and it’s backfiring on her again. She’s become a total joke and is overplaying her hand.”

Markle’s Spotify series “Archetypes” was not renewed for a second season.Spotify
Lemonada execs are also allegedly worried that Markle’s upcoming Netflix cooking show will divert attention from the podcast.

“That clearly didn’t go down well with Lemonada,” the source stated.

“They surely expected to be Meghan’s priority project, but she must have decided she had bigger fish to fry with Netflix.”The purported pushback of the podcast comes after Markle’s Spotify series “Archetypes” was not renewed for a second season.

The source says Markle now desperately needs a hit with her Netflix show or her lifestyle brand in order to prove that she and husband Prince Harry are still viable in Hollywood.

Harry and Meghan are in desperate need of a hit, an insider says.REUTERS
However, the insider isn’t holding out hope.

“Almost everything they’ve tried has ended in disaster,” they tartly declared.

Meanwhile, one well-placed source in Tinseltown told In Touch that A-listers have little respect for the Duchess, who commands big bucks for her content.

What do you think? Be the first to comment.

“Hollywood is glam and glitz on the outside, but the real stars have worked hard for their success — and you get the impression hard work isn’t really Meghan’s thing,” the anonymous source says.

“Now, after all her failures, those A-listers — and the royals — are laughing at her!”

Kate returns to royal duties as Princess of Wales meets young girl battling cancer in Windsor Castle

The Prince and Princess of Wales held a private meeting with a budding photographer today who is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Princess Kate has surprised royal watchers today by sharing photos of a private meeting at Windsor Castle.

Kate, 42, and her husband the Prince of Wales met an aspiring teenage photographer with a rare and aggressive form of cancer after inviting her to take pictures at William’s Windsor Castle investiture.

The princess looked well in the two images shared by Kensington Palace on social media, wearing a maroon suit, smoky eye make up and her trademark brunette locks down.

The first image shows Kate hugging 16-year-old Liz Hatton, from Harrogate, after the royal couple met the youngster after the ceremony on Wednesday.

While the second is a group shot of the prince and princess with Liz and her family.

In a personal message on social media, William and Kate said: “A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. W&C.”

Liz is trying to take part in as many photography experiences as possible and was invited to Windsor Castle today by William to take photos of recipients and learn about the different pictures that are taken throughout the day.

The heir to the throne found out about Liz through the London Air Ambulance Charity of which he is Patron of and held an engagement with on Monday alongside David Beckham.

Liz responded to the post on her own Instagram account, and wrote: “Such lovely, genuine and kind people, I’m over the moon that my family and I had this experience.”

While William’s role in the investiture ceremony has been recorded on the court circular – a record of royal engagements – the couple’s meeting with Liz and her family was not because it was private.

Kate has been seen only a handful of times this year after battling her own cancer diagnosis.

However, since revealing last month that she had completed her course of chemotherapy she has started to return to work, conducting two meetings at Windsor Castle.

The first was on her Early Years project and the second involved planning for her annual Christmas Carol service, which she hopes to attend in December.

Kate is also expected to attend the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph on November 10.

She held her first official meeting in more than nine months, where she hosted a chat with senior officials who work with Kate’s Early Years’ initiative.

The princess revealed she had completed her treatment last month, and admitted she hopes to appear at a handful of engagements before the end of the year.

The official Court Circular, which lists all royal engagements, read: “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.”

There were no photos of the meeting but it is understood she was joined by members of her household team and representatives from the The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

Catherine’s Spooky Halloween Surprise Plans with Her Three Children

Royal family’s Halloween plans revealed as Kate Middleton looks to take kids trick-or-treating

If you thought the royals don’t indulge in a little spookiness, think again.

Like millions of children around the world, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have taken part in Halloween festivities each year.

The trio are currently spending some downtime from school with their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, at their home in Anmer Hall, where they often retreat during school breaks.

And while George, 11, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6, are currently on break from Lambrook School, it’s expected that the family will be switching up their tiaras for spooky masks this week.

“Halloween is a holiday that the younger royals quite enjoy,” King Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold, exclusively told The Post. “The older Royals don’t really mark Halloween, so it’s not so much of an occasion for them.”

In previous years, Princess Catherine was spotted rolling up her sleeves and getting involved with the spooky holiday.

“When it comes to trick-or-treating, we know Kate is keen to keep things as normal as possible for the children and heading out trick-or-treating could very well be her wanting to keep up with tradition and ensuring the children don’t miss out,” the former palace staffer noted.

“Kate is all about family and spending quality time with her loved ones will be top of her priorities this holiday.”

In fact, onlookers previously spotted the princess buying Halloween costumes for her and William’s children at a local supermarket.

What’s more, the family is known for going trick-or-treating each year.

In 2022, Princess Catherine participated in festivities near the family’s Kensington Palace home in London.

In one photo, Middleton could be seen standing by a neighbor’s gate with George, Charlotte and Louis. While the snap was taken from a distance, the princess was seen holding a bag in which she put her children’s sweet treats.

“For anyone doubting how down to earth William and Kate are … This is Kate with their kids knocking on our door in London trick-or-treating at Halloween,” Middleton’s neighbor Jay Rutland wrote.

Rutland is wed to the British heiress Tamara Ecclestone, and the couple resides just a few doors down from Kensington Palace.

After what’s been a tough year for the family following Middleton’s cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment, as well as the King’s own cancer battle, Harrold notes that it’s possible the royals will want to mark Halloween with a small private party at home.

“You could understand if [Catherine] wanted to keep within the confines of the royal homes with their own private party and inviting some of their friends over,” Harrold said. “It’s safer, it’s in a more secure environment and a smoother operation.”

It’s safe to say that Princess Catherine’s love for trick-or-treating was passed down from her mother, Carole.

“Halloween is an Autumn highlight for me,” Carole previously wrote on her now-defunct Party Pieces Instagram account in 2022.

“I can still remember the fun and frights from my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins and go trick-or-treating!”

“I’ve even grown my own pumpkins this year, so I’m looking forward to decorating those with my loved ones,” she wrote at the time.

  • Camilla Green with Envy as Kate Middleton Inherits $120 Million from Queen Elizabeth

Camilla Green with Envy as Kate Middleton Inherits $120 Million from Queen Elizabeth

Imagine waking up one morning to discover you’ve inherited a treasure trove from one of the most iconic figures in history. Now imagine that this treasure is so magnificent it makes even the most regal of queens green with envy. Welcome to the world of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, whose inheritance from Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly stirred quite the royal pot, leaving Camilla, the queen consort, feeling a tad—well—jealous.

    The Inheritance

But what exactly did Kate inherit, and why is it causing such a stir? Let’s dive into this royal saga filled with glittering jewels, ancient artifacts, and a dash of royal drama.

When we think of royal inheritance, our minds often drift to the dazzling crown jewels—and for good reason. These aren’t just any jewels; they’re symbols of power, history, and tradition. For Kate, inheriting pieces from Queen Elizabeth’s personal collection is like receiving a piece of history itself. Some of these jewels date back centuries, each with its own fascinating story. Take, for instance, the famous Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara—a favorite of Princess Diana and now often worn by Kate. This tiara alone has witnessed more royal events than most of us could ever dream of attending.

    The Significance Behind the Jewels

However, it’s not just the tiaras and necklaces that have Camilla feeling a bit envious. It’s the significance behind them. Each piece Kate wears is a nod to her growing role within the royal family—a role that comes with its own set of expectations and pressures.

Jewels aren’t the only treasures Kate has inherited. Queen Elizabeth’s passing also brought with it the keys to some of the most luxurious residences in the world. From the sprawling grounds of Balmoral Castle to the historic walls of Windsor, these homes are more than just places to live; they’re symbols of the monarchy’s enduring legacy. Whether it’s a cozy evening at Balmoral with its breathtaking Scottish landscapes or a grand event at Windsor steeped in centuries of royal tradition, it’s no wonder Camilla might feel a pang of jealousy. After all, these residences are not just homes; they’re a testament to the royal family’s history and influence.

    The Weight of Royal Responsibilities

With great power comes great responsibility, and in the case of royal inheritance, this couldn’t be truer. Alongside the jewels and residences, Kate has also inherited a slew of royal duties. From charity work to state functions, her calendar is packed with engagements that require grace, poise, and a lot of stamina. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by a busy schedule? Now imagine that schedule includes meeting heads of state, attending charity galas, and being constantly in the public eye. It’s a lot to handle, even for someone as composed as Kate.

But here’s where it gets interesting: while these duties can be exhausting, they also offer Kate a platform to make a real difference. Her work with mental health charities, for instance, has brought much-needed attention to important issues. It’s a reminder that with the glitz and glamour of royal life comes the opportunity to create lasting change.

    Camilla’s Perspective

Now let’s shift our focus to Camilla, the queen consort. It’s no secret that the dynamics within the royal family can be complex. With Kate stepping into an increasingly prominent role, it’s only natural for there to be a bit of tension. Imagine spending years carving out your own place within the royal family only to see someone else receive the lion’s share of attention and accolades. It’s a tough pill to swallow, even for someone as seasoned as Camilla.

However, it’s important to remember that jealousy in this context isn’t necessarily a negative emotion; it’s a human one. It speaks to the intricate relationships and high stakes within the royal family. Camilla’s feelings of envy highlight the pressures and expectations that come with being part of such a storied institution.

    Public Reaction

One of the most fascinating aspects of this royal inheritance saga is the public’s reaction. From tabloid headlines to social media buzz, people around the world are captivated by the drama unfolding within the palace walls.

As this story continues to evolve, we’ll keep an eye on how these dynamics play out. Will Kate embrace her new role as the royal family’s shining star? How will Camilla navigate the challenges that come with her position? And how will the public continue to respond to these royal developments?

  • Catherine’s Royal Surprise: William’s Cheeky Remark About Their Fourth Baby!

Catherine’s Royal Surprise: William’s Cheeky Remark About Their Fourth Baby!

During a recent visit to the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Prince William and Princess Catherine brought joy and warmth, especially when Prince William made a playful remark about the possibility of a fourth child. This light-hearted moment occurred after Catherine was photographed tenderly holding a newborn, sparking discussions and speculation among royal fans about whether the couple might expand their family. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge already have three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—but William’s cheeky comment reignited curiosity.

Catherine’s visit to the hospital’s maternity ward was particularly moving. She was photographed cradling a six-week premature newborn, highlighting her genuine maternal instincts and compassion for families facing the challenges of premature births. The photos captured her smiling tenderly at the infant, which resonated with many who admire her deep empathy for families and children, a quality she has consistently shown throughout her royal duties.

For Catherine, this visit held extra significance as it marked her return to public life following her completion of preventive chemotherapy treatments. After announcing that she had successfully finished her treatments, she has been praised for her bravery and resilience. Her hospital visit not only underscored her dedication to royal duties but also demonstrated her connection to the people she meets, especially parents and families.

Catherine has long been committed to championing early childhood development, making this hospital visit particularly meaningful. Her interaction with new mothers and babies highlighted her ongoing focus on maternal and child health, blending her personal experience as a mother with her public role. These moments, where she interacts directly with families, emphasize her relatability and endear her further to the public.

While Prince William’s playful comment about a potential fourth child may have been in jest, it fueled speculation about the possibility. Royal insiders have noted that Catherine has expressed a desire for four children, though William has previously felt content with three. However, given Catherine’s love for children, there is always a possibility she could sway her husband.

This heartwarming hospital visit was a testament to Catherine’s growing role in the royal family, especially as she re-emerges into public life following months of medical treatment. Her decision to undergo preventive chemotherapy was met with widespread admiration, and now, with her treatments behind her, she is embracing her royal responsibilities with renewed energy. Her ability to connect personally with families and her compassionate presence continues to inspire those she meets, showcasing her strength both as a royal and as a mother.

As royal fans speculate about the couple’s future, Catherine’s focus remains on her vital work, particularly her advocacy for early childhood development, maternal health, and family well-being. Her presence at the hospital was a reminder of her ongoing commitment to these important issues, and her lasting impact on the people she meets ensures that her contributions will continue to inspire for years to come. Whether or not baby number four is on the horizon, Catherine’s role in the royal family and society is more essential than ever.

  • The triumph of the tiara… and how Kate broke with tradition for the Coronation

The triumph of the tiara… and how Kate broke with tradition for the Coronation

When the date of the Coronation of King Charles III was announced in October two years ago, there was a sigh from jewellery lovers across the world. The prospect of a sea of sparkling tiaras, last seen at the late Queen’s coronation seventy years previously, would raise the nation’s spirits.

Bets were made on about which tiara the newly minted Princess of Wales might wear: would she choose her favourite, Cambridge Lover’s Knot? Or go for something even more regal and rare?

Would Princess Beatrice wear her great great grandmother, Queen Mary‘s 1919 Fringe Tiara that she wore for her wedding in July 2020, worn by her grandmother at her wedding in 1947? Would her sister, Eugenie, wear her bridal Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara.

What would the Princess Royal wear to the Coronation of her brother? After all, her aunt wore the Cartier Halo Tiara to her sister’s 1953 enthroning – which Kate famously wore in the Abbey in 2011. And the Royal Duchesses of Edinburgh, Gloucester, Kent and so forth? We haven’t even touched on the foreign Royals; – in 1953, Princess Märtha of Sweden wore Empress Joséphine’s Emerald Tiara – would Crown Princess Victoria follow suit? And Princess Mary? Her spectacular Danish Ruby Tiara, that looks like a gorgeous garland of flowers?

Of course, in the end it was a collective ‘Oooh’, almost louder than the rain on Westminster’s Abbey roof. Kate wore, an albeit beautiful, costume jewellery floral headpiece alongside Princess Charlotte – and the rest of the guests were in hats or fascinators. Of course there were some spectacular jewels.

The King was carefully considerate in the Dress Code for his Coronation – after all, very few of the previous peers and peeresses were invited – many of whom no longer have the ‘family fender’ (as my ancestor the 6th Marchioness of Londonderry called it – see below); they have either have sold them (you can still buy the exquisite Anglesey Tiara from Hancock’s on St James’s Street, London) or had them broken up and made into jewellery more wearable today. Some, such as the Portland Tiara, have been stolen. State Banquets still ring for diamond diadems, and Kate delighted us all when in November 2023 she wore the Queen Mother‘s Strathmore Tiara for the visit of the President of South Korea – and the national papers – who put the tiara, unseen for over a century, firmly on the front page.

Tiaras hark from a bygone world – a world that so many Royals have covered in dust sheets

Let’s look at their history to understand why, in the 21st century, they still have the power to impress.

Napoleon Bonaparte might have been Europe’s enemy number one at the turn of the 19th Century, but he did succeed in reintroducing the bejewelled head ornament, which became de rigeur throughout the continent.

Until he decided to dress up his family – and particularly his wife, later Empress, Josephine – in diamond diadems, these exquisite head ornaments had been almost non-existent since Ancient Greece and Rome. Napoleon wanted to revive the pomp and ceremony of the Ancient World – to which he looked for inspiration; in emblems, iconography and his family’s fashions. in Napoleon’s eye, with no crown jewels, tiaras transformed the Bonapartes into bona fide royals.

It’s important to note that despite Le Petit Corporal taking the credit for tiaras, there are sketches of a young Queen Charlotte wearing diamonds set in diadems during the 1760s. And the spectacular Spencer Tiara, famously worn by Lady Diana Spencer during her 1981 wedding, was in fact created in 1767 for an ancestor, Viscountess Montagu. The tiara’s undulating diamond set scroll work, meeting in the middle as a heart, was replicated in the early twentieth century when, in the 1930s, Garrard reset some of the diamonds.

It is Queen Charlotte’s granddaughter, and namesake, Princess Charlotte, who is to thank for the tradition of adding a tiara to the bridal trousseau – up until then, it was strictly married women who wore them. For Princess Charlotte of Wales’s marriage in 1816, she wore a tiara set with brilliant diamonds to secure her veil. And at the coronation of her father George IV, for whom the inimitable Diamond Diadem was created for the occasion, ‘coronets, tiaras, circlets, aigrettes’ were worn throughout the Abbey. Quickly the British Court cottoned on and the tiara became a status symbol, an investment and part of a ‘uniform’, that married women of the aristocracy were expected to wear to formal occasions, from generation to generation.

Tiaras during the reign of Queen Victoria were substantial sparklers. The young monarch turned her aunt Queen Adelaide’s diamond fringe necklace into a tiara.

When my paternal grandmother’s ancestor, Theresa, married the 6th Marquess of Londonderry, she inherited some spectacular pieces – and called them ‘the family fenders’. Many of the Londonderry Jewels are now on permanent loan to the V&A, and are perfect examples of their formidability.

The Londonderry Tiara was commissioned in 1854 from Garrard and set with existing diamonds belonging to the family, including those taken from a belt worn to the Coronation of George IV.

In the 1880s my ancestor Theresa (née Chetwynd-Talbot – daughter of the 19th Earl of Shrewsbury), a formidable hostess, was photographed in a series where she is wearing the tiara – she also wore it as part of her costume at the Devonshire House Ball in 1897. At the Coronation of Edward VII she wore this tiara with enormous baroque pearls attached to the top (it is said that she wanted to stand higher than Queen Alexandra). It became so top heavy that when she needed to visit the loo in the Abbey, the half-a-century-old tiara toppled off her imposing head into the loo. She wasn’t called a ‘highwaywoman in a tiara’ for nothing.

Helen Molesworth, jewellery curator of the V&A whose book PRECIOUS was published in the summer, says: ‘They form a fascinating record of jewellery history. From the stately crown-like creations in heavier gold and silver settings of the nineteenth century, to the lighter platinum aigrettes and bandeaus of the early 1900s.’ The latter of which suited the dramatic haircuts of the era.

Who can forget Lady Mary Crawley appearing with a slick bob in season five of Downton, and causing such a sensation? Tiaras had to adapt to fit this new trend – and so the bandeau appeared. The Strathmore Tiara, when worn by Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, was worn low on her forehead, whereas when the Princess of Wales wore it last year, she wore it above her hairline as is traditional these days.

Will there every be an era when the tiara is out of fashion? I for one hope not!

Cruz Beckham gets cozy with girlfriend Jackie Apostel in California

Sharing a picture of Jackie waiting to blow out her candles to his Instagram Story, he dropped the ‘L bomb’, as he penned: Happy Birthday xx I love you’.

The confession comes just days after the pair packed on the PDA during a shopping trip in Beverly Hills last week.

Despite a ten-year age gap, Cruz showed that their romance was stronger than ever as they passionately kissed in the street.

According to HELLO!, the brunette beauty is almost a decade older than Cruz, who turns 20 in February.

They wrote: ‘[Jackie] was formerly a member of Brazilian girl band Schutz, [and] is nine years her boyfriend’s senior.

‘In an Instagram post introducing the members of Schutz shared to Instagram in 2022, Jackie is introduced as being 26 years old, making her 28 now. The star will turn 29 on 18 October’.

And it seems love is in the air for the Beckham brood after Cruz’s brother Romeo finally confirmed that he was dating photographer Gray Sorrenti, with a loved-up outing in NYC.

Gray is also from a famous family and daughter of fellow fashion photographer  Mario Sorrenti, 52, who’s best known for shooting Kate Moss‘ iconic Calvin Klein Obsession ads back in the 90s.

Romeo has been linked to several women in recent weeks after emerging back on the dating scene, and was first spotted with Gray amid Paris Fashion Week last month.

Just days earlier, Romeo was pictured sneaking out of a boozy Fashion Week party in London with Amelia Gray Hamlin – the daughter of US TV star Lisa Rinna and actor Harry Hamlin – the daughter of US TV star Lisa Rinna and actor Harry Hamlin.

Hot news: Meghan Markle’s fake pregnancy secret has been exposed, prompting Prince Harry to immediately demand a “royal origin investigation.” Full story below👇👇👇

In a shocking turn of events, it has been revealed that Sir Nicholas Soames, a close friend of Prince Charles, leaked the fabricated news of Meghan Markle’s pregnancy with Archie to the King.

Despite conflicting reports from both sides, claiming the King’s desire to extend an olive branch and Meghan’s wish for a harmonious relationship with Charles, it is clear that these statements hold no truth.

The royal family is currently grappling with a much bigger issue – the impending revelation of the use of surrogates.

This scandalous subject continues to plague the royals, who must find a way to handle it without implicating themselves in the deceit.

Understandably, there is a great deal of animosity within the family towards Meghan for repeatedly subjecting them to this immense mess, which has become a daily source of turmoil for the monarchy.

Everyone within the palace has their own ideas on how to address the situation.

Leading this charge is Sir Nicholas Soames, a trusted confidant of Charles and a member of his inner circle.

Although he does not hold an official role within the royal household, his familial connection to Winston Churchill, who enjoyed close ties with the royals during his tenure as Prime Minister, grants him significant influence.

The truth surrounding the existence of invisible children, the use of surrogates, the bullying allegations, and any other pertinent information must be brought to light.

The public has grown weary of the ongoing drama surrounding the Markles, and their patience has worn thin.

Many suspect that the family was initially deceived and only discovered the truth when they were already trapped in a precarious situation.

While there may have been initial sympathy for Meghan, the tide is turning against her, and people are beginning to question her motives.

The recent birthday story published in Spur magazine also raises eyebrows.

It is highly unlikely that a woman would be discharged from the hospital just two hours after receiving an epidural, as the article suggests.

Such a quick departure may be plausible if Meghan were not the one giving birth.

Speculation abounds, and while some may initially sympathize with the less fortunate and angry individuals involved, a growing number of people suspect the truth and believe that the royal family was initially hoodwinked.

Despite their initial victimhood, the British royal family may eventually find forgiveness from the public.

They were unwitting participants in this elaborate scam, preoccupied with their own lives and duties.

Sir Nicholas Soames has also defended his friend of 65 years, stating that past indiscretions should not overshadow his loyalty.

On the other side of the divide, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Catherine are firmly resolved to see Harry and Meghan dealt with decisively, putting an end to their disruptive games once and for all.

King Charles, a considerate and peace-seeking monarch, simply desires a quiet life, and who can blame him?

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan seem determined to secure a substantial financial settlement for themselves and their children.

It is worth noting that they have distanced themselves from another grandfather figure, though this time it does not involve any jewelry or precious gems.

In other news, the popularity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has taken a hit as a recent poll reveals a decline in public opinion compared to other members of the British royal family.

The survey indicates that a mere 14% of respondents in the UK consider Harry and Meghan to be positive role models.

In contrast, a significant 71% view Prince William and Kate Middleton in a favorable light, marking a 7% increase since the same question was asked in 2020.

Meghan Markle believed Prince Harry’s ‘starter home’, Nottingham Cottage, wasn’t substantial enough for the couple.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly had grander ideas than to live in Prince Harry’s “starter home” at Nottingham Cottage, which is where Meghan Markle had relocated prior to her marriage to Harry.

A royal commentator has claimed Meghan Markle’s fixation to live in Windsor Castle came from her rivalry of Princess Kate who lived with Prince William and their children in Kensington Palace.

Kinsey Schofield previously told GB News: “She wanted to share the same space with the Queen [Elizabeth II], and she was denied that space for multiple reasons.”

This comes as Meghan confessed in the Netflix docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan’ she thought the couple would live “somewhere more regal” after getting engaged.

Speaking of his living arrangements, Prince Harry said: “As far as people were concerned, we were living in a palace. And we were, in a cottage.”

Meghan added: “Kensington Palace sounds very regal, of course it does. It says ‘palace’ in the name! But Nottingham Cottage was so small.”

The Mirror reports Meghan was told living in Windsor Castle would not be private, and was warned the couple’s privacy would be intruded upon as there are numerous public tours of the castle during the year.

William and Kate’s central London home, Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace used to belong to Princess Margaret. The living quarters is spread over four floors and features over 20 rooms, including three kitchens and nine rooms for members of staff. It was refurbished at a cost of £4.5m to the taxpayer with a new roof and electrics, and the removal of asbestos.

Royal expert and author Christopher Warwick said: “All of these royal residences at Kensington Palace are called apartments, which of course makes people immediately think they are flats like the American term for an apartment. They are not.”

He explained: “If you kind of think of them as being these wonderful red brick terrace houses. Because they are all joined but separate houses.”

Prince Harry revealed in his bombshell memoir how he felt embarrassed to take Meghan Markle to his cottage at the start of their relationship because it was not a palace.

In his memoir, Spare, the Duke of Sussex describes Nottingham Cottage, dubbed Nott Cott, on the grounds of Kensington Palace as a bit embarrassing.

Upon reflecting on showing Meghan Nottingham Cottage, Duke wrote: “To my relief she made no sign of dismay, gave no indication of disillusionment.

“Until she got inside. Then she said something about a frat house. I glanced around. She wasn’t far off.”

The Duke criticises Nottingham Cottage’s size in his memoir, describing it as being built for humans of a bygone era with ceilings as low as a doll’s house.

Harry and Meghan lived at Nottingham Cottage before their move to Frogmore Cottage in April 2019 ahead of the birth of their first child, Archie.

Meghan Markle’s treatment of staff over the years uncovered – full list of accusations

Meghan Markle has faced a number of accusations regarding her treatment of staff members over the years, giving her the nickname “Duchess Difficult”.

Meghan Markle has been in the headlines for various reasons over the years, with one being her reported treatment of staff.

Although the Duchess of Sussex has been placed under the nickname “Duchess Difficult”, Meghan, 43, has repeatedly and vehemently denied the claims that she mistreated staff, with her team calling the allegations a “calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation”.

However, with a number of her employees resigning and leaving soon after joining, people have been left wondering if there is any truth in the allegations, which date back to her time as a senior member of the Royal Family.

One of the first allegations to emerge was made by a royal correspondent who said a pregnant Meghan Markle reportedly “turned and hissed” at one of her members of staff on a tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji in the autumn of 2018. Rebecca English of the Daily Mail said: “I was there at the time and witnessed Meghan turn and ‘hiss’ at a member of her entourage, clearly incandescent with rage about something, and demand to leave.

“I later saw that same — female — highly distressed member of staff sitting in an official car, with tears running down her face.”

It was reported in The Sun that Meghan’s anger was caused by a group called UN Women being present at a market in Fiji when she was there, even though she had reportedly insisted they not attend

A similar situation was also reported in The Times when Meghan Markle had allegedly phoned one staff member from the royal household “every 10 minutes” while she and Prince Harry were out for dinner.

According to the staff member, the Duchess of Sussex felt like she had been let down about an issue apparently worrying her, so had “repeatedly” contacted the royal staffer. Valentine Low, author of Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, quoted the staff member from the Palace in the book, which was later published in The Times. The worker reportedly said: “Every 10 minutes I had to go outside to be screamed at by her [Meghan] and Harry”.

The claims led to the Palace launching an investigation into the reports of the bullying.

Since quitting the Royal Family in 2020, Meghan has also been accused of treating her staff members poorly, with the Duke of Sussex’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler, reported to have quit this year at short notice after just three months in the post.

In September this year, The Hollywood Reporter published a damning report labelling the Duchess of Sussex “Duchess Difficult” and claiming that her staff are allegedly “terrified” of her and her “belittling” behaviour towards them. The outlet cited sources saying that Meghan “marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders”, with one source adding: “I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears”.

Allegations were also made regarding the Duchess’s “noisy tantrums” and “angry 5am emails”.

Despite these repeated accusations about Meghan Markle, some staff members have stepped forward in her defence, with Meghan’s team denying the claims against her previously. A current staff member for the couple, who wished to stay anonymous, said: “It’s clear where this type of commentary is coming from. It’s likely made up from someone who’s disgruntled.

“They want to take care of us. Meghan will do things like, ‘You mentioned on the call your skin is bothering you, I put together a kit for you. Whenever staff goes to their house, they leave with a basket with fresh flowers, fresh fruit, fresh eggs.”

The Duchess of Sussex has declined to comment on the latest claims.
