Loose Women’s Denise Welch admits ‘I’ve not been well’ as she opens up on ‘rough’ time

On Wednesday’s instalment of Loose Women, Denise Welch opened up about her mental health to her ITV co-stars.

Loose Women’s Denise Welch has detailed having a tough time over the past few weeks.

Addressing the topic, ITV star Kaye Adams told viewers that Denise’s ‘unwelcome visitor,’ which she calls her depression, has been knocking at the door.

Denise said: “Yeah, so I had a really rough two weeks, which I’m still in a bit. I just did a podcast and a big article saying how I’ve been free for five years of clinical depression.

“Sadly, the unwelcome visitor paid me another visit, so I’ve not been well for a couple of weeks.”

She added: “I just wanted to come on here because what I need when I’m poorly, I need for my friends to just know that I need time to get well.”

Denise told the panellists that what she needed during these times was the choice to go to work when she was emotionally ready, explaining her absence from the show last week.

The Loose Women star continued: ” When Janet returned it was up to Janet to say, ‘I’ve had hip surgery I feel well enough to come back’. It’s up to me to know when I’m well enough to come back.

“The only thing that people will relate to if they have depression is, I’ve been free of the morning fear for a long time. I can be ok today, but then tomorrow, I can be absolutely terrible, and it’s isolating.”

Giving more context, Denise shared that the NHS describes depression as an ongoing sadness. She added: Sadness is something that you have as a result of something making you sad, it’s a healthy emotion.

“Depression does exactly what it says on the tin, it depresses every single emotion. So you feel a flatness to things you usually get emotional or have feelings about, it robs you of that.”

Before ending the conversation, Denise thanked her Loose Women co-stars for their support, and she confessed it helps her to go to work while she’s working through this time.

As the audience gave her a huge round of applause for opening up, Janet Street-Porter stood up and gave Denise a huge hug.

Taken aback by Janet’s kindness, Kaye Adams yelled in disbelief, “Oh my god!”

Joking aside, the ITV star added: “You know it’s so amazing for you to share that side of yourself, Denise, I know a lot of people watching will be very, very grateful for that. We love every version of you.”

It wasn’t long before people took to social media to share their thoughts on Denise opening up.

One person said: “Love her, dislike her, mental health is s**t. Hope Denise gets through this quickly.”

Someone else wrote: “How terribly brave of you Denise, you could have always stayed at home for a few months to get well.”

Another wrote: “I hope @RealDeniseWelch is feeling better soon. It’s important mental health is spoken about, no one minds when we speak about our physical health. The taboo about mental health needs to go.”

“@RealDeniseWelch @loosewomen well done for sharing with us and for describing depression so well. Thinking of you as you continue to recover,” wrote another.

With another adding: “Thank you, Denise, for your powerful words today.”

Loose Women continues weekdays on ITV from 12:30pm

  • Zoe Says No! Saldana Rejects Meghan Markle’s Podcast Proposal

Zoe Says No! Saldana Rejects Meghan Markle’s Podcast Proposal

Zoe Says No! Saldana Rejects Meghan Markle's Podcast Proposal
Zoe Saldana Flatly Rejects Meghan Markle’s Plea to Join The Lemonade: Here’s Why

In a surprising turn of events that has Hollywood buzzing, Zoe Saldana has turned down Meghan Markle’s request to appear on her podcast, The Lemonade. Known for her iconic roles in Avatar and Guardians of the Galaxy, Saldana’s decision wasn’t just a simple “no” — she reportedly doubted the podcast’s potential for success. This rare, public rejection has sparked debates about ambition, authenticity, and the challenges of navigating fame.

The possible motivations behind Zoe’s decision, and what this moment means for both Meghan Markle and the ever-evolving dynamics of celebrity culture.

Meghan Markle’s latest podcast, The Lemonade, was positioned as a bold endeavor aiming to challenge stereotypes and empower underrepresented voices. The podcast’s title, inspired by Beyoncé’s groundbreaking album, hinted at themes of resilience and transformation. However, Meghan’s foray into podcasting hasn’t been smooth sailing.

Her previous podcast, Archetypes, boasted an impressive roster of guests but faced criticism for lacking depth and authenticity. With The Lemonade, Meghan hoped to shift the narrative and cement her reputation as a media innovator. A guest like Zoe Saldana could have added star power and credibility to the project.

Zoe Saldana is no stranger to high-profile projects, but she has built her career on values of authenticity and intentionality. Known for her grounded approach to fame, Saldana chooses roles and collaborations that align with her personal ethos.

For Zoe, appearing on The Lemonade may have seemed like a misstep in an already crowded podcast market. Reports suggest she questioned the uniqueness of the podcast and doubted its ability to stand out. Her decision to decline reflects a commitment to protecting her brand, even if it meant rejecting a high-profile invitation.

Meghan Markle remains a polarizing figure. To some, she’s a trailblazer advocating for important causes; to others, she’s seen as overly calculated and opportunistic. Zoe’s rejection has added fuel to these contrasting perceptions, prompting debates about Meghan’s ability to connect with audiences authentically.

Losing a guest of Zoe’s caliber could be seen as a blow to Meghan’s podcast ambitions. On the flip side, it might serve as a wake-up call, urging her to refine her approach and prove the podcast’s value through innovative storytelling and meaningful conversations.

Exposed: Meghan Markle’s Alleged Hairdresser Hoax Unraveled by Lady C
Meghan Markle has recently faced strong criticism from the outspoken Lady C, who has accused her of faking a friendship with her hairdresser.

Meghan Markle appeared in Los Angeles to attend a launch party for her friend and hairdresser, Katie Lee. The event was to celebrate the launch of Katie’s new wellness haircare brand, which Meghan has invested in. Meghan was quoted by InStyle saying, “Katie is a master of hair health, and her Highbrow Hippie collection is the perfect reflection of that.” Katie Lee, based in Venice, LA, has worked with numerous A-list clients, including Brad Pitt, Sigourney Weaver, and Julia Roberts.

Lady C Takes to Twitter: Enter Lady C, who took to Twitter to slam Meghan for what she calls a “fake” friendship with her hairdresser. Lady C tweeted, “Oh my goodness, Meghan Markle just keeps sinking deeper. Her people—who suspiciously sound a lot like her—are digging deeper into the bottom of the barrel, trying to make news by announcing that she has a new best friend: her hairdresser.” Lady C doesn’t hold back, adding, “How long until this hairdresser gets ‘Markled’—T-minus two minutes.”

She goes on to criticize Meghan for using people like Katie Lee to keep up appearances. Lady C insists that Meghan’s “best friends” are now just people she pays for services, highlighting that no one in Meghan’s peer group genuinely wants to be close to her. “A celebrity,” Lady C writes, “who is a mere publicity-hungry figurehead. She’s resorted to paying someone to be her ‘best friend.’”

The Allegations Against Meghan: The heart of Lady C’s argument is that Meghan is paying for this “friendship.” She points out that Meghan is not only an investor in Katie Lee’s new brand but also that Meghan’s presence at the party was based on her financial involvement, not a true bond of friendship. Essentially, Lady C suggests that Meghan is paying for the services of this hairdresser, which makes her more of a business partner than a friend.

A Narcissistic Love Bomb? Lady C’s claims also raise questions about Meghan’s behavior—could she be “love bombing” her hairdresser, claiming they’re best friends as a way to manipulate her and the public? For those unfamiliar with the term, love bombing is a tactic where someone showers you with attention and affection to win your trust, only for their behavior to later turn manipulative. Could Meghan, known for her manipulative tactics in the past, be using this hairdresser to create an image of herself as a relatable, down-to-earth person?

Your Thoughts? So, what do you think?

Is Meghan Markle genuinely friends with her hairdresser, or is it just another example of her using people for publicity? Some may argue that Lady C is being too harsh, while others may agree with her perspective on Meghan’s questionable friendships.

Kate Middleton in Tears: King Charles’ Unexpected Gesture for Sophie Wessex Amid Cancer Battle

Kate Middleton in Tears: King Charles’ Unexpected Gesture for Sophie Wessex Amid Cancer Battle
Since stepping into a more prominent role within the royal family, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, has found herself at the heart of royal life. This shift in her duties followed the decision of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to step back from their royal roles and Prince Andrew’s withdrawal after the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. As her responsibilities within the royal family increased, Sophie became an ambassador for the crown, while also championing causes close to her heart, such as fighting for the equality of women and girls around the world.

Recently, Sophie has stepped up in an entirely new way, offering unwavering support to Princess Catherine (Kate Middleton) during a significant time. In one of her first public appearances after completing cancer treatment, Princess Catherine is said to be feeling the weight of her best friend’s milestone, as discussions at the Royal Summit conference drew attention to key members of the royal household. King Charles, endorsing the event, led to conversations around the roles of several royals, including Queen Camilla, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, and Duchess Sophie.

In an emotional gesture, King Charles even paid tribute to Sophie, penning a heartfelt letter recognizing her hard work and dedication. Sophie’s commitment is clear; with 114 engagements last year alone, she ranked as the fourth busiest royal. Known for her close bond with Princess Catherine, Sophie has earned the affectionate title of her “royal sister.”

In a notable moment at the royal summit, Sophie’s position was adjusted from her originally planned spot with the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester to stand beside Catherine, offering her support. Typically, Princess Catherine is accompanied by Queen Camilla, but the 77-year-old monarch had to miss the event due to illness. This change demonstrated Sophie’s steadfast presence, as she stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Catherine, providing emotional support. As Sophie placed a hand on Catherine’s back as they entered the building, the gesture conveyed not just friendship but a sense of maternal care, similar to the comforting back touches Catherine’s husband, Prince William, had shown the night before.

This act of kindness also sent a message to the rest of the royal family: despite William’s absence, Catherine remains surrounded by family members who take great care of her. It’s a subtle yet powerful show of royal unity and compassion.

Sophie’s empathy and maternal instincts aren’t new. In 1999, during a memorial service for the Duke of Edinburgh, Sophie demonstrated her compassion when her young niece, Princess Beatrice, fainted on the balcony. The 11-year-old was supported by Sophie and other family members, including Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence and Sophie’s husband, Prince Edward. Sophie’s strength and support during difficult moments, like the death of the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen, earned her praise from the public. Reports suggested that Sophie played a key role as a mediator between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the royal family. Her natural ability to keep things grounded and harmonious has earned her a special place within the family, with some describing her as the Queen’s favorite daughter-in-law for her down-to-earth demeanor and ability to quietly support others.

In 2019, Sophie made a visit to the Sussexes shortly after the birth of their son, Archie. Her gesture of warmth and empathy was seen as a genuine act of support—something that, according to many, was missing from other members of the royal family.

Now, as the center of a growing royal structure, Sophie is increasingly playing a crucial role in the royal family’s operations. Over the past year, her workload has more than doubled, with her involvement in charitable work and social causes becoming even more apparent. Her strong commitment to community service, social equity, and support for marginalized groups aligns closely with the values of King Charles and Princess Catherine, reflecting a shared vision for the future of the monarchy. As her role continues to evolve, Sophie’s ability to navigate complex royal dynamics and her dedication to public service solidify her place as a key player in the royal family.

  • Meghan Markle: The Evil Mastermind Behind Prince Harry’s Silence on Free Speech

Meghan Markle: The Evil Mastermind Behind Prince Harry’s Silence on Free Speech

Meghan Markle: The Evil Mastermind Behind Prince Harry’s Silence on Free Speech
The audacity of it all is just shocking, and I know you’re going to feel the same way once I break this down for you. What we’re watching unfold isn’t just some soap opera; it’s a real-life drama that’s causing significant harm to an institution that has stood strong for centuries. And at the center of it all are our favorite troublemaking duo, with Meghan Markle pulling all the strings behind the scenes.

It’s fascinating how the truth always has a way of coming to light, isn’t it? Samantha Markle’s attorney, Peter Ticktin, has finally said what many of us have been thinking—he called them “evil.” And honestly, when you look at their behavior, can you blame him? Let’s break it down.

We’ve got Harry, our once-beloved Prince—well, “once” being the key word here. He’s forgotten everything about his heritage, his family, and most importantly, the very principles of the country he’s living in now. Now, he’s trying to control speech in America through this so-called Commission on Information. Can you believe it? The irony is almost unbearable. This is the same Harry who called the First Amendment “bonkers” – that’s the same First Amendment that allows him and Meghan to spread their narrative unchecked, the very freedom of speech that lets them make millions by telling their side of the story. Isn’t it convenient how that works?

Now let’s talk about Meghan for a moment. The way she’s orchestrated this situation is like watching a masterclass in manipulation. She entered one of the most prestigious families in the world, decided it wasn’t quite what she wanted, and then systematically worked to reshape it according to her Hollywood script. The Netflix series? Pure fiction. The Oprah interview? A masterclass in victimhood. And now we’re supposed to believe she’s the victim in this legal battle? Come on. The same woman who claims she grew up as an only child is now throwing a fit over how she’s addressed in legal documents. The irony is beyond rich.

Meanwhile, William and Catherine are quietly going about their royal duties, showing what true service to the crown looks like. They’re not running around in Hollywood, not crying to Oprah, and not trying to control what people can or can’t say online. They’re just working, serving, and representing everything that’s good about the monarchy.

And let’s not forget King Charles and Queen Camilla. Despite everything that’s been thrown at them, they’ve handled this entire situation with grace and dignity. They continue to serve the people, and that’s what real nobility looks like.

Now, here’s where I really get fired up: the hypocrisy of this whole “protecting young people online” narrative they’re pushing through their Archewell Foundation. These are the same people who allow their supporters to bully and harass anyone who dares to criticize them. The Sussex Squad – we all know who they are – have been relentless in attacking anyone who doesn’t fall in line with their narrative. The intimidation, the threats, the coordinated attacks – it’s all happening under the banner of these supposed “anti-bullying” advocates. The hypocrisy is staggering.

Let’s talk about this legal battle with Samantha Markle for a moment. Here’s her sister, trying to stand up for the truth, and what happens? She gets dragged through the mud, her character assassinated, all while Meghan plays the victim card yet again. The same person who claims to have had no siblings is now facing the consequences of her actions in court. And get this – Meghan’s legal team is upset because Samantha used the name “Markle” instead of “Duchess of Sussex.” Seriously. For someone who supposedly left the royal family to live a “normal” life, she sure seems attached to that title.

And Harry—oh, Harry. What happened to the cheeky, lovable prince we all once knew? The one who served his country, who started the Invictus Games, and who seemed to have his head screwed on right? Now, he’s in California, attacking the very principles that allowed him to live his privileged life. It’s heartbreaking to watch.

The transformation has been shocking. From a beloved prince who understood his role to someone who jumps at every opportunity to criticize his family and his country, all to please someone who had an agenda from day one. Let’s be real – this isn’t about racism, privacy, or mental health. It’s about control, power, and maintaining relevance in a world that’s increasingly seeing through their act.

Every time their popularity dips, what happens? Another interview. Another revelation. Another attack on the royal family. The stories get more dramatic, more designed to grab headlines. Remember when Meghan claimed she never Googled Harry before meeting him? Or when she said she didn’t know what a “walkabout” was? Come on, these are the kinds of fairy tales that might work in Hollywood, but we’re not buying it anymore.

And now Harry’s involved in this Commission on Information Disorder. The same person who spread more misinformation about his own family than anyone else is now going to be deciding what constitutes misinformation online. The irony is too much to handle.

Peter Ticktin hit the nail on the head when he called them out. This isn’t about protecting people from misinformation; it’s about controlling the narrative. It’s about silencing critics and maintaining their carefully crafted image, no matter the cost. And speaking of costs, let’s talk about the damage this is all causing to the royal family. The strain on relationships, the constant need to weather the storms while maintaining dignity—it’s relentless. But you know what? The truth always prevails. People are starting to see through the act.

Look at how they treated Thomas Markle. Whatever you think of him, he’s still Meghan’s father. They left him to face the media alone while preaching about mental health and family values. It’s shameful.

And let’s not forget the staff – all those palace employees who suddenly found themselves branded as bullies or racists just because they dared to stand up to reasonable demands. The same staff who are bound by confidentiality agreements and cannot defend themselves. It’s unbelievable.

The pattern is clear. Anyone who doesn’t fall in line with their narrative becomes a target – whether it’s family members, palace staff, or the media. And anyone who disagrees with them suddenly becomes part of a grand conspiracy against them.

But here’s the thing that gives me hope: while they’re busy playing the victim and trying to control the narrative, the real royals are quietly getting on with their jobs. That’s right, the real royal family – not this Hollywood version being pushed on us. Not the carefully choreographed photo ops or calculated interviews, but genuine service and dignity.

It’s sad because Harry could’ve been a part of that. He could’ve been standing shoulder-to-shoulder with his brother, supporting the monarchy and making a real difference. Instead, he’s in California, trying to tell Americans what they can and can’t do online. Meghan, well, she had the opportunity of a lifetime. She could’ve used her platform, her voice, and her talents to truly make a difference, but she threw it all away.

So my friends, keep your eyes open. Keep questioning their narrative. Keep supporting the real royals who are quietly getting on with their duties, without all this drama and attention-seeking behavior. The monarchy has survived for centuries, and it’s built on service, duty, and dignity. No amount of Hollywood spin can change that fundamental truth.

Meghan Markle is said to be “furious” after Victoria Beckham “pips her to the post” with the reveal of her new Netflix show.

The 43-year-old is set to be releasing her own cooking show as part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix deal – but Victoria has now has revealed her own show – also airing on Netflix.

Victoria, who is reportedly feuding with the Sussexes, has revealed that her show, The House of VB, will hit screens next year.

The show will showcase her journey in building her fashion empire, as well as giving fans an insight into the life of the former Spice Girl.

According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, Meghan will likely be “furious” that Victoria is releasing her show before her own.

Speaking to Fabulous, she said: “I’m sure [Meghan] would have been furious because she likes to be in control.

“I think she’d be annoyed that Victoria had pipped her to the post. She’d have to be magnanimous about it deep down inside. She might be annoyed, but she cannot show it, and you know she’s enough of an actress to know that she can’t possibly show it.”

Discussing whether she believes Meghan will publicly reveal her true feelings, to which Ms Seward said it would be a “grave error” to say anything at all.

She said: “I think to say anything else would be a grave error, and she knows that. Of course, she’d be annoyed, but there’s absolutely nothing she can do about it because she doesn’t have a hand in the scheduling of these shows.”

Earlier this year, Deadline reported that Meghan’s series, which was – at that time – in early development, will feature the former actress celebrating “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”.

A source told Us Weekly back in August that the series “is going to be a take on her and the joy of living. [There will be] little things she’s learned in terms of being a modern-day hostess.”

Much like the news of a release date, a title for Meghan’s series has also not been released.

EXCLUSIVE: The York sisters are rallying around their father as he faces the threat of eviction from his beloved Royal Lodge if he is unable to manage the property’s costly maintenance.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly “fuming” over the treatment their father, Prince Andrew, has received from the Royal Family. The sisters are also said to be torn over how to navigate their unofficial roles within the Firm.

According to a well-placed source, the York sisters are rallying around their father as he faces the threat of eviction from his beloved Royal Lodge if he is unable to manage the property’s costly maintenance.

“Beatrice and Eugenie are rallying around to help support their father,” said the source. “Royal Lodge is viewed as a York family problem, not just an Andrew problem and the whole family are chipping in – that includes Sarah, Beatrice and Eugenie.”

Although they are not working royals, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are often expected to represent their family and support the monarchy in public.

This expectation places the sisters in an increasingly delicate position as they navigate family loyalty, royal obligations, and their personal lives.

Over the past few months, the source says the sisters have convened several family meetings to discuss the best way forward, feeling as though they have been pushed to the fringes of royal life.

“The York family have held several meetings and drawn up a battle plan,” said the source. “They will not allow their family to fall or come up against any more negative press.

“It’s very much a charge led by Beatrice. She’s extremely loyal and has taken the reins.”

Princess Beatrice, 36, has assumed an unofficial role as a defender of the York family’s legacy in recent months.

Just last week, Beatrice was seen networking at the highest level in the Middle East, as questions about her father’s finances persist.

Prince Andrew, 64, was once the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. “There are great contacts built up over the years that are still being utilised,” said the source.

The source added that Beatrice has been working to secure her father’s interests, including protecting Royal Lodge, which has been at the centre of controversy amid reports that King Charles would prefer Prince Andrew to vacate the property.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie, 34, faces a unique challenge. She maintains a close bond with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have distanced themselves from the Royal Family, while trying to preserve harmony with the Firm. This balancing act underscores the complexities of the York family’s relationship with the monarchy.

“Beatrice and Eugenie always feel like they’re walking a fine line,” said the source. “It’s a difficult balancing act to manage because they want to support the Royal Family despite not being working royals.

“The girls also want to forge their own lives and relationships with friends and family without feeling like they’re under some sort of control.”

Despite feeling isolated, the York sisters have received an invitation to join the royal gathering at Sandringham this Christmas.

“There is a feeling that the Royal Family likes to use them (Beatrice and Eugenie) to portray a sense of unity to the public but it’s a different story behind the scenes,” said the source.

“It’s a constant push and pull scenario for them which is becoming more and more difficult as time goes on.”

Kate Middleton’s Christmas carol concert WILL return this year with a very special theme

The Princess of Wales will host her annual Christmas carol concert this year which will reflect on “how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives”.

Kate, 42, is recovering from cancer after what the Prince of Wales described as a “brutal” year. It will be one of the highest profile appearances she’s done in recent months, since revealing in an intimate video she was recovering from cancer.

Despite her health struggles, she was determined the annual televised festive event at Westminster Abbey would go ahead on December 6, to be broadcast on Christmas Eve.

It will be the fourth time the Princess has hosted the Together At Christmas Service, which has become a popular highlight of the royal calendar

During the first concert in a huge top secret surprise, she played the piano alongside Tom Walker and last year it was the first time Prince Louis joined his older siblings at the event.

It is one of the few engagements chosen for her gradual return to public duties after finishing chemotherapy treatment in the summer.

Kensington Palace said Kate particularly wanted the service’s theme to celebrate those supporting others in need, with a focus on the importance of love and empathy.

Kensington Palace said: “This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives.

“The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities.”

The Palace added: “This year, Her Royal Highness wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need – individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive.

“This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy.”

In recent days, as she carried out royal engagements with her family, this message of “love and empathy” was plain to see, as the royal family supported each other.

At the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance, Prince William, put a comforting arm around his beaming wife as they arrived and sat chatting after they took their seats.

While The King, whose wife was home with a chest infection but is now ‘on the mend,’, was joined by his sister Princess Anne throughout the Royal Albert hall event.

The next day on Remembrance Sunday, Kate, stood alongside Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, to watch King Charles and Prince William lay a wreath at the Cenotaph. Sophie also put a protective arm around the younger mum-of-two.

Kate’s Together At Christmas carol service, which is supported by The Royal Foundation, will be filmed and broadcast as part of a special programme on ITV1 and ITVX.

Members of the royal family will gather with the princess as some 1,600 people fill the abbey in London to see musical performances by stars including Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean and Gregory Porter.

Among the invited guests will be those who have supported others, either on a personal level with friends and family, or through their work or volunteering.

  • Harry & Meghan Get Kicked in the Teeth as Duchess Sophie Moves into Royal Lodge

Harry & Meghan Get Kicked in the Teeth as Duchess Sophie Moves into Royal Lodge

As King Charles looks to redefine the monarchy, Duchess Sophie and her husband Prince Edward are reportedly at the center of significant changes involving royal residences and family dynamics. Recent reports indicate that the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are potential candidates to move into Royal Lodge, the current residence of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. This shift would mark a notable change, as King Charles is said to be eager to reassign the property. The king aims to relocate the Duke of York to Frogmore Cottage, previously the home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, Prince Andrew, who’s resided at Royal Lodge since 2003, is reportedly reluctant to leave his 30-room mansion, citing a 75-year lease and the estate’s historical significance as reasons for staying.

Sources suggest that Sophie and Edward could take over Royal Lodge, with Sophie described as a serious contender for this role. An insider told Women’s Day magazine that Sophie and Edward’s potential move has complicated the situation, prompting King Charles to address his plan openly. This has led to a tense atmosphere, with rumors of a possible intervention by Prince William if the issue is not resolved soon. Royal author Gareth Russell has also noted that while The Prince and Princess of Wales might seem like a natural choice, they’ve shown little interest in moving, making the Edinburgh couple a more viable option.

King Charles’s intentions extend beyond just reshuffling residences. The king is reportedly concerned about ensuring that Queen Camilla has a secure home for the future. As a result, he wishes to establish a stable residence for her in Windsor, potentially involving Sophie and Edward as caretakers of Royal Lodge. This plan reflects the king’s desire to provide for Camilla’s well-being after his passing. Prince Andrew’s desire to keep Royal Lodge as an inheritance for his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, has added to the complex dynamics. The Duke of York and Sarah Ferguson were allowed to remain in Royal Lodge following the Duchess of York’s cancer diagnosis in 2023. Nevertheless, the king’s push to finalize the relocation underscores the ongoing tensions within the royal family.

The Duchess of Edinburgh’s involvement in royal affairs extends beyond property matters. Sophie reportedly faced a snub from Meghan Markle, despite her attempts to offer support as a fellow outsider who joined the royal family in 1999. Sophie hoped to mentor Meghan, who was navigating her new royal role. According to a source, Sophie and Meghan had an extensive conversation where Sophie offered valuable advice on transitioning into royal life. Sophie found Meghan engaging and offered her support but was surprised when Meghan didn’t reciprocate or follow up. The Duchess had hoped for a return invitation to Frogmore Cottage, where Meghan and Harry were residing at the time. Some royal commentators suggest that Meghan may have felt that she didn’t need additional guidance, relying instead on Prince Harry.

This sentiment was echoed by commentator Kinsey Schofield, who noted that Meghan’s rejection of Sophie’s mentorship opportunity might have been a missed chance for learning. The queen had recommended Sophie as a mentor for Meghan, believing that she’d be an ideal guide through the complexities of royal life. Meghan’s decision to decline this offer and rely on Harry instead may have deprived her of valuable insights. According to Schofield, Sophie’s genuine intention to assist Meghan was overlooked, marking a missed opportunity for both women to build a supportive relationship. Duchess Sophie is becoming an influential figure in the evolving royal landscape. Her potential role at Royal Lodge and her past attempts to support Meghan Markle highlight her significant, albeit complex, involvement in the monarchy’s future.

Meghan Markle is upset and says people are being unfair

Meghan Markle has expressed her frustration over what she perceives as unfair treatment in comparison to Prince William and Princess Catherine. This sentiment arises from the ongoing public and media backlash she and Prince Harry face, especially highlighted by their recent controversies and strained relationship with the Royal Family. In contrast, Prince William and Princess Catherine continue to be celebrated at various public events and maintain a favorable public image.

Markle’s grievances are underscored by the perception that, despite the significant criticisms and media scrutiny, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge receive a much more supportive and positive reception from both the public and the media. This disparity has been particularly pronounced following several high-profile incidents, such as the fallout from Harry and Meghan’s tell-all interviews and their subsequent step back from royal duties.

Adding to her discontent, Markle has faced significant backlash over her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, with criticism about its perceived high prices and exclusivity. This comes in the wake of the collapse of their Spotify deal, which added to the negative media coverage she and Harry have been experiencing.

Despite these challenges, Meghan and Harry continue to pursue their endeavors in the US, though the contrast in treatment between them and the senior royals in the UK remains a point of contention for the Duchess of Sussex.
