Prince Harry Asserts That Meghan Markle Has Much in Common with His Mother, While Expressing Disappointment at the Royal Family’s Lack of Recognition

In a recent statement that has drawn the attention of the media, Prince Harry has insisted that Meghan Markle shares several qualities with his late mother, Princess Diana. At the same time, Harry has expressed his disappointment that his family cannot acknowledge the similarities between Meghan and Princess Diana.

Harry, often in the spotlight for his candid remarks about his life and family, has openly expressed his admiration for Meghan and the similarities he sees between her and his late mother, Princess Diana. According to Harry, both women share a profound empathy and a strong dedication to social justice—values that shape his own perspective and philanthropic work.

In his comments, Harry highlighted that, like Diana, Meghan is deeply committed to social and humanitarian causes. He noted that both women positively influence others’ lives and work toward making the world a better place. For Harry, this comparison serves not only to underscore the qualities he admires in Meghan but also to honor the enduring legacy of his mother.

However, Harry has also expressed his frustration with the royal family’s failure to recognize the similarities between Meghan and Diana. The British royal family has faced criticism for their perceived lack of support and understanding toward Meghan, and Harry has noted that this indifference is painful for him. According to Harry, the family’s refusal to acknowledge the qualities in Meghan that he sees as similar to Diana’s reflects a lack of appreciation for what she contributes to the family and their causes.

TV chef Gino D’Acampo has been sent to a ‘language and behaviour course’ following allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

Gino, who is known for appearing on cooking segments on shows such as ITV’s This Morning, has been ordered to attend the corrective course by concerned executives.

A TV crew who worked with the Italian chef on Emission Impossible, his show with Fred Sirieix, have also been offered counselling and support after Gino is thought to have ‘jokingly flashed’ them.

The actions by ITV come after a woman complained of his behaviour over the past five years and lodged a complaint with ITV bosses last week.

The woman worked with the TV chef on This Morning and on Saturday Cooks.

It is understood she decided to speak out amid a raft of allegations against the BBC’s MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace came to light.

A source close to the latest complainant said: “She worked [with Gino] for five years.

“She has come forward after being spurred on by the Gregg Wallace scandal and the comment he made about his accusers being middle-class women of a certain age.

“Her view is she is the middle-aged woman who believes young women shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of behaviour any more.

“Gino was younger and not as well-known then. He used to say he didn’t want to become famous as he would have to curtail his behaviour.

“He said and did whatever he wanted. Everyone was aware and she was subjected to shocking behaviour which she told ITV about last week.”

A spokesperson for ITV said: “We made our position clear following the outcome of our KC Review last year after which we said, ‘We are completely committed to creating an environment where everyone is treated with respect and feels able to give of their best.

“Our promise to those we work with is that where a complaint is made, or serious concerns raised, we will always investigate and if we find that something inappropriate has happened, we will take action.

“We will continue to develop our efforts to give junior colleagues the confidence to speak up if they have something to raise.

“Following the review we reiterated our expectations and introduced Conduct and Standards Guidelines for On Screen Personalities which outlines our expectations in terms of behaviour, and have also previously offered training in language and behaviour, either directly or through our third party producers, where appropriate.”

The singer and guitarist had an emotional reunion with his wife Georgia and their six-year-old son Cooper as he crossed the famous jungle bridge last night.

He is already a judge on The Voice UK, alongside his bandmate Tom Fletcher, but insiders said telly bosses are keen to sign him up for more shows.

A source said: “Danny is the embodiment of everything ITV loves. He’s fun, family friendly and incredibly popular.

“Watching how popular he was on I’m A Celeb made him a key target for other shows they have coming up. Danny is a brilliant musician, but he is also great on TV.

“ITV bosses want to see if they can sign him on for another series of The Voice UK and there are other shows they think he could be perfect on.”

Danny won over I’m A Celeb viewers early on as he opened up on his struggles with mental health.

During the first week, he broke down in tears as he revealed he started having therapy for anxiety aged 19 after suffering a panic attack during a live TV interview.

He also spoke about his estrangement from his dad Alan, 72, who he has not seen for 18 years after he left his mum, Kathy.

Danny said: “He doesn’t speak to me. I just don’t think I’ve really… healed with it, maybe. I had a good relationship with my dad. He was my best mate until he left.”

I’m A Celebrity semi-final leaves fans ‘gutted’ after devastating vote-off

I’m A Celebrity now has its final three – but who went home on Saturday night? (Picture: ITV)
Saturday night proved to be a decisive one as the penultimate episode of I’m A Celebrity 2024 went out with an almighty bang.

With Sunday’s grand final fast approaching, Oti Mabuse, Reverend Richard Coles, Coleen Rooney, and Danny Jones were all fighting for their lives.

Danny in particular had a tough 24 hours, having to complete a secret mission with the Wagatha Christie master herself, Coleen, in camp!

In an episode that also saw the celebs battle the elements in the iconic Celebrity Cyclone Challenge, it was a shock exit that stole the show.

Oti Mabuse was revealed by presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly as the fourth placed contestant in this year’s competition.

It means she misses out on a chance to be crowned Queen of the Jungle, and her fans expressed their devastation as Oti left camp for the last time.

On X, @ReturnoftheOlly said, ‘Oti has been robbed. No two ways about it. Gutted!’ While @ItsAmyXO commented: ‘Ahhh gutted for Oti, it should have been Rev or Danny. i also kinda have a feeling she would have gone yesterday if she didn’t have immunity.’

Giving further support to Oti was @Courtdegnan who said: ‘Oti was such an underdog, I was expecting her to be quiet, boring and one of the first to leave but she was so much better then I expected. Gutted for her, but all 4 of them are worthy winners.’

However, before the votes had even been announced, some viewers were eager to see Danny, Coleen, and Reverend Richard as the final three.

Posting on X, @Toriftolsen said: ‘I love Oti, but she really didn’t do many trials tbh. I’m fully convinced if she didn’t win the immunity ticket, she would have gone out before Maura and GK Barry / Grace!’

And @SoraThesk made a cracking prediction midway through tonight’s show: ‘There’s no way Oti makes it to top three today.’

In a bittersweet interview, Oti reflected on her time in Australia, saying: ‘I’m happy… I expected to be nervous the whole time, but when you’re in there, my goal was just to focus and get the job done. It was so important that we got to eat.’

She continued: ‘I enjoyed everything. The conversations, getting to know these people, getting personal, getting to open up. You come out as a stronger, different person.

‘We cried a lot. It never stopped. I didn’t know I was a crier but now I know. I will never get to do this experience again. It was to unique. From the moment I jumped out that helicopter – I’ve been so grateful.’

Speaking about what it’s like to wake up in the jungle, she said: ‘It’s so magical here. The trees, the frogs. You appreciate it. Everything you know [at home] is taken away from you, but you learn to love it.’

It all means that it will be Reverend Richard, Coleen, and Danny will be battling for the crown on Sunday night, with the Queen or King of the Jungle set to finally be crowned after 22 days.

When asked by Dec, Oti’s choice was for Danny to become King of the Jungle, but it’s up to the UK public to crown their winner!

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! concludes tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Real Housewives star Brandi Glanville unrecognisable as condition drastically changes face

Former Real Housewives star Brandi Glanville has revealed she’s been in and out of the hospital after shocking fans with a swollen-face selfie

Brandi Glanville has sparked concern amongst fans after looking unrecognisable with a swollen face amid a health condition.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 52, took to social media to post a concerning photo of herself amid her ongoing health battle. “What happened?” she wrote on X on Sunday.

“I wish I knew I’ve been in and out of the hospital this passed year and 1/2 … spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out. Some Dr.’s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it’s stress induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.”

Glanville sparked fan concern as she posted the shocking photo of her changing face. She didn’t detail her condition but simply captioned the snap, “Sick it.” Her fans quickly flocked to share their support, as other made suggestions as to what the condition could be.

“Is that filler migration?” one fan questioned, to which another responded, “No, it’s an immune response because she’s in poor health.” Another wrote: “Awwww brandi … im sooooo sorry … you’ve had nothing but hardships … sending all prayers for you …you’ll come back girl and smash it just watch.”

Someone else added: “Brandi, this just breaks my heart for you. I’ll definitely be keeping you in my prayers.. Love ya.” The reality star previously blamed Bravo for her swollen face. Back in July, Brandi said she was “miserable and depressed” due to their ongoing legal drama.

Brandi claimed her former employer – US TV network Bravo – was to blame for her facial disfigurement. During the summer, she took to X to announce that stress was causing havoc on her appearance. “This is why I’m miserable and depressed ” she wrote, sharing a selfie of herself that showed her left cheek severely swollen and bruised.

“I’m not even gonna share the picture of when it sinks in. Stress will kill you. How is your wealth? Take care of yourself people thank you Bravo. I couldn’t even work if I wanted to at this point.”

She first began experiencing these symptoms around October 2023, when she had to be rushed to the hospital after her face blew up, eyes swelled shut and she collapsed.

A source told Entertainment Tonight at the time: “Brandi’s been under so much stress since The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip drama started with Caroline Manzo. She hasn’t been able to work since the false claims were brought against her and now it’s taking a toll on her physically.”

  • Rebekah Vardy praises Coleen Rooney as she admits ‘it’s time to move on’ after Wagatha drama

Rebekah Vardy praises Coleen Rooney as she admits ‘it’s time to move on’ after Wagatha drama

Rebekah Vardy has praised Coleen Rooney’s recent I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! appearance as she told fans it’s time to put the Wagatha drama to bed

Rebekah Vardy has vowed it’s time to move on from her drama with Coleen Rooney.

The pair have been locked in a war of words and lawsuits after Coleen dramatically claimed that Rebekah’s Instagram account had been leaking stories to the media. In 2019, Coleen appeared to break the internet with her Wagatha Christie sting investigation which saw her post a slew of fake stories on her private Instagram page.

The High Court heard how Vardy’s account was the only profile to be given access to see her posts. Rebekah strongly denies the allegations made against her. During the expensive court battle, it was heard how Vardy’s former agent, Caroline Watt, may have been responsible for the leaks, having had access to her account.

But despite the drama between Rebekah, 42 and Coleen, 38, it appears that the charity ambassadors could be prepared to leave the past behind them. Coleen had recently been appearing on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, during which, she briefly touched on the trial, which saw a judge rule in her favour and state that her claim about Rebekah allegedly leaking stories was “substantially true”.

Now, Rebekah has praised the Liverpudlian, who placed runner-up to McFly singer and guitarist, Danny Jones, in Sunday night’s grand final. Writing in her column for The Sun, Rebekah said: “And Coleen finished second, Coleen has had a fab series, she has really done well and made herself proud.

“Yes, I know you’re all waiting for me to say otherwise, I’m sorry to disappoint, but it’s just not happening. It’s really, really time to move on and end the year with a positive.” More than seven million people tuned in to watch Coleen narrowly beaten by Danny on I’m A Celebrity on Sunday night, a jump of around half a million over the finale last year, figures reveal – a rise from the 6.6 million viewers who watched TV star Sam Thompson win last year, ITV said.

The Claire House ambassador secured a whopping 44.8% of the public vote, meanwhile winner Danny bagged 55.2%. But while Coleen has previously stepped out of the limelight, sources have now revealed heading Down Under have reignited her passion for TV.

“Her time on I’m A Celebrity only solidified what the execs already knew – Coleen is a natural on screen,” a TV insider told the Mirror. “Her authenticity and charm made her an immediate favourite with viewers. She has been approached time and time again to do more TV but now it is going to happen.”

The source adds: “I’m A Celebrity was the test run that ITV wanted to see. ITV has long had their eyes on her for a big role, and now, with her performance as runner-up, they’re ready to offer her one of the most exciting daytime TV slots on the channel. She’s set to become one of TV’s biggest stars. A big deal is certainly in the offing!”

Toyah Willcox turned Strictly down twice as she names ‘inappropriate’ partners BBC gave her

Toyah Willcox rejected two younger partners on Strictly Come Dancing, but the BBC respected her wishes for an older dancer and got things right the third time with Neil Jones

Pop sensation Toyah Willcox, 66, revealed she turned her nose up at two partners on Strictly Come Dancing.

The musician appeared on the BBC show this year, and recently shared that while she ended up dancing with Neil Jones, 42, she was first set up with two other ballroom pros – but told producers it wouldn’t work because of their ages. Toyah was first matched with Vito Coppola, 32, and then Nikita Kuzmin, 26, but thought that they were too young to dance with her.

Toyah told the Mail Online that she auditioned for the show with Vito, and he “loved her immediately” and wanted to partner with her on the show. Despite being honoured by Vito’s wish, Toyah asked for someone else.

    Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones
Toyah said that both she and finalist Sarah Hadland thought it would be ‘inappropriate’ to have ‘young people’s heads near their crotches’

“I would have hated to do an intimate dance with someone that young. I said I really want to be age appropriate and dance with someone who is right for my physicality, and I was asked if I would dance with Nikita and I just said look, it’s going to look so wrong,” she said.

Toyah explained that Miranda star Sarah Hadland felt the same way, and also asked for a more seasoned dancer. “I trusted Neil, he has experience and has the same mental experiences as me. Sarah Hadland and I said we don’t want young people’s heads anywhere near our crotches and I don’t want my head anywhere near their crotches…” she joked.

The singer added that production respected her request to keep things “age-appropriate,” after fearing that her 40-year age gap with Nikita would end up making him “frustrated.”

Despite her one major demand on the show, Toyah appeared on Love Your Weekend with host Alan Titchmarsh, and said that she had a great time on Strictly. Alan asked about rumours of inappropriate behaviour on set, and Toyah said she was more than comfortable in the intense environment.

Alan asked: “There has been quite a bit of controversy about it, of late. So you didn’t feel threatened at all and you enjoyed the experience?” To which Toyah clarified that she “loved” her time on the show.

Toyah explained: “I’ve been in the business for 45 years and I’ve been criticised every day in my life so I’m used to it. I’m also used to being a woman having to prove myself so you toughen up to it and I still believe that it was a fantastic opportunity. Everyday opportunities will happen for me and I worked incredibly hard to make the most of it. I loved every second and it’s as simple as that.”

The star made a candid admission as she said: “I’ve worked with tougher directors. I’ve worked with George Cukor, who directed Judy Garland on A Star is Born and he shouted everyday at not only me.” Toyah again explained: “I’m used to this. When you are at the top it’s tough, it’s so tough.”

Exclusive: Coleen Rooney reveals I’m A Celebrity stars slept outside of camp one night

Coleen Rooney has opened up about her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and revealed that the campmates were forced to flee camp in the middle of the night

This year’s batch of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! stars spent a night outside of the camp, Coleen Rooney has revealed.

The Scouse star, 38, narrowly missed out on the jungle crown on Sunday night, coming runner-up to McFly singer Danny Jones. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Coleen looks back on her time on the ITV show – the highs and the lows – and revealed how extreme weather forced them to flee camp on night.

Coleen – who says she got terrible headaches after detoxing from caffeine and sugar – said the first few days in the Australian outback were “tough before it started getting better.” But she adds: “As it got better, the weather got worse. And then that was tough.”

The weather was the worst in the show’s history with the camp battered by endless storms. “There was one night where we got all got woken up in the early hours in the morning to go into the Bush Telegraph because of a storm” she says. “I was asleep in there, Alan was asleep. You think this isn’t what we thought the jungle would be.”

Elsewhere during her chat with the Mirror after narrowly losing out to Danny, Coleen admits she secretly questioned her place on the show after just one week – because she missed her family too much. She shares how she sobbed after just a few days after being reminded of husband Wayne Rooney and their sons whose faces were emblazoned on her pillow.

“n that first week, I did wake up one morning and I looked at the pillow and I saw on it obviously Wayne and the kids, and I had a little cry and I thought I don’t know whether I can go all this way,” she recalls. But she says she “soon snapped out it” by getting stuck into her chores instead – namely the washing up.

“I went off and did the washing up and collected the wood and did whatever I had to do,” she says. “I just got on with it.” Coleen then shares how the first few days were also tough as she worried she wasn’t a big enough personality like some of the other campmates, and too quiet.

“In the first week I just thought I can’t see me going all the way because I was just me,” the mum-of-four admits. “We had loads of personalities in there who were great and I got on with, but they were performers and I felt like I was, at times, just sat there thinking, ‘what do I bring?’

“It wasn’t uncomfortable. They made it comfortable. It was just me sitting back and looking at that camp and thinking I was more quieter than everyone else. But obviously people enjoyed it and wanted me to stay in there longer and see a bit more of me. I don’t know why but they did.”

  • Danny Jones forced to hand back I’m A Celeb crown and won’t receive cash prize

Danny Jones forced to hand back I’m A Celeb crown and won’t receive cash prize

McFly star Danny Jones has been crowned King of the Jungle after his I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! success but there is no prize for winning the ITV show

Jungle champ Danny Jones will not receive a cash prize following his I’m A Celebrity win – but could make mega money from brand deals and other big TV opportunities.

All the stars are paid a fixed sum when they sign up for the show, and Danny was said to be one of the lower earners, taking home between £100,000 and £150,000 for his three-week stint in Australia. But he could earn ten times that amount – which makes up for the fact he doesn’t get to keep his crown or wooden sceptre!

Experts say there will be kick-backs aplenty following his success, with previous winners earning big bucks after their stint. With a tour planned for 2025, it doesn’t look like the McFly star will have much time but some of the money on offer is sure to turn his head.

Brand and Culture Expert Nick Ede said it’s a big opportunity. “£1.5 million as the winner all eyes are on Danny and I can see him being offered advertising deals and personal appearance fees as well as hosting jobs too,” he told MailOnline. ITV are also said to be eyeing him up.

The offers are now expected to roll in. TV bosses reportedly keen to sign the star to one of its main shows alongside the likes of Joel Dommett and Bradley Walsh and with Danny already a judge on The Voice, he could soon add more shows to his roster. “

Danny is the embodiment of everything ITV loves,” a source told the Sun. He’s fun, family friendly and incredibly popular. Watching how popular he was on I’m A Celeb made him a key target for other shows they have coming up. Danny is a brilliant musician, but he is also great on TV.”

Last year’s winner Sam Thompson has hardly been off our screens and earned another pay-day after signing up to help with the coverage of the new series. He revealed he had been forced to hand back the items and joked that he had ‘nothing to show’ for his success.

Telling campmate Josie Gibson on This Morning, he said: “I didn’t get to keep anything! They wouldn’t let me keep anything! I had to give the sceptre back. I really wanted to bring it through airport security because it’s quite big. ‘But yeah, I don’t have anything to show for it.”

Viewers watched on as the guitarist, 38, was named the show’s winner last night as he beat Coleen Rooney to the top spot. But he almost didn’t go on the show – and told Lorraine that he wanted a nice long break after a big year with a busy 2025 ahead of him.

Danny won the Masked Singer and alongside bandmate Tom Fletcher and then sealed glory on The Voice earlier this year – and was looking forward to some time to himself. He said: “To do the treble, I’ve had a crazy year. I just doubled down on it and thought why not. With a tour next year I was meant to have six months off and move house, but when I’m A Celeb came up I said screw it, let’s do it!

“I feel overwhelmed. It’s like when people buy tickets to your show. I’m always amazed by it. The fact so many people voted for me to be the King, I’m sure and I’ll be forever thankful. I feel like I have connected with people like I haven’t before. It didn’t know it would be so rewarding.”

Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall has opened up about his contract renewal for the soap, after appearing in I’m A Celebrity.

The actor, who joined the ITV soap at the age of 16 in 1998, has signed a new deal with the show, which will see him playing Tyrone Dobbs throughout the entirety of 2025.

Alan swapped Weatherfield for Australia three weeks ago, as he jetted off ready to appear in ITV’s I’m A Celeb.

It was within the jungle camp that Alan opened up about playing Tyrone for such a long time.

Reflecting on these fascinating chats and the news he’ll be playing the beloved character for at least another year, Alan said: ‘I’ve spoken a lot in camp of how humbling it is to be a very small part of Coronation Street.

‘To know that I’ve got a contract that will take me through that is incredibly humbling and proud for me and also proud for my family, being from Salford, growing up Coronation Street fans.

He continued to The Sun: ‘I’m thrilled to bits. That’s the job I love, so long may it continue. I’ll maybe have a couple of pints of Guinness to toast it.’
