Strictly’s John Whaite claims he’s lost big supermarket collaboration over OnlyFans work

Strictly Come Dancing finalist John Whaite took aim at Waitrose in a post on social media recently, with him saying that his work with the brand had seemingly disappeared

Former TV star John Whaite has hit out at Waitrose in a post on social media. He’s suggested that his work with the supermarket chain appeared to disappear after he posted content on OnlyFans.

John, 35, is best known for his on-screen work, having appeared on shows such as Strictly Come Dancing since he won the Great British Bake Off in 2012. More recently, he joined OnlyFans in 2022 and, following a break from it, it was announced earlier this year that he had rejoined the platform. The baker now posts content on the adult subscription platform again. John has previously said that he’s decided to focus on the venture and his baking business, Ruff Puff Brownies, since leaving the TV industry in recent years.

In a post on Instagram over the weekend, John suggested that collaborations with Waitrose had been “expunged” due to his work on OnlyFans. He said in a video on Saturday: “A few of you have asked where my recipes have gone from the Waitrose website and I can’t be certain. I don’t quite know.”

John continued: “They are all seemingly gone off the website and off YouTube. It seems like my history’s been expunged. And I don’t know why. But I can hazard a guess.”

He went on to say in the video: “I mean, let’s face it, the Waitrose brand is very heavily centred on missionary vanilla and middle class guilt, isn’t it? Yeah, moral panic is one of their values as well. So I guess … I guess it speaks volumes.”

John said: “If you’re looking for one of my recipes or something that I make go to Ruff Puff Brownies or my … I don’t know where my recipes are these days, probably all been expunged. But if you’re looking for an overpriced quiche or a sandwich that tastes like regret, pop to Waitrose.”

The former Steph’s Packed Lunch star included a lengthy caption alongside the video message last week.

He wrote in the caption: “It seems Waitrose have diverted all my recipe links to similar recipes by other people – my work history with them ostensibly expunged. My catalogue of YouTube videos with them has also disappeared.

“It’s like I never existed. No one at Waitrose informed me or told me why… I can only guess that it’s because I do OnlyFans. So I’m sorry if you wanted to use one of my recipes and now cannot.”

The baker, who is now an OnlyFans creator, told fans that his recipes had disappeared from Waitrose’s website(Image: john_whaite /Instagram)

John concluded: “Look, I get my OF work doesn’t align with their brand, and I would have accepted that had they treated me with an ounce of human respect, but to wipe out an entire collection of very hard work without any notice or chance to save the recipes first is an insult. #AlwaysPreferedAldiAnyway #BitternessIsInFor2025.”

Approached for comment, a Waitrose spokesperson told the Mirror this evening that it “regularly” reviews recipes on its website. They added that they are “very grateful” for the work John has previously done for the brand.

A Waitrose spokesperson told us: “We regularly review recipes on our site, we are constantly updating and refreshing. We are very grateful for the work John has done for us.”

Former host of The X Factor Dermot O’Leary has slightly different life goals at the age of 51

Dermot O’Leary has a new TV series where the audience can win big money

Dermot O’Leary has admitted he has turned down jobs because his family comes first saying “You’ve only got one life”. In his younger days when he was The X Factor host, Dermot would travel the world for weeks and be working weekends for huge chunks of the year, but now his priorities have shifted.

He lives in London with wife Dee Koppang O’Leary and their four-year-old son Kasper. Launching his new TV series Silence Is Golden, Dermot said: “I’m at stage now, a very happy, comfortable stage. You don’t necessarily always have the luxury of it, but I feel like I want to do things now that interest me,. And I want to do things that fit around my life.

    Dermot O'Leary with wife Dee

“It wasn’t necessarily I wanted to do a comedy game show. I mean, I’m desperate for it to succeed. I’m passionate about it and I want to do another one, but so many things have to align for that to happen. So this was more about that it felt like it was something different.”

He added: “There’s a couple of jobs I’ve turned down since we’ve had Kasper that I would love to have done, but I’m not going to go away for the amount of time. Not unless he was with me. You’ve only got one life.”

Dermot’s wife Dee was a director on Disney+ hit drama Rivals and also worked on Netflix’s The Crown. They split their workloads and try to make sure one of them is off or they aren’t both on big projects at the same time for the sake of their son. “It’s 50-50 now(with wife) she’s flying, she really is,” Dermot added.

His new gameshow sees a chance for the audience to win a split of £250,000 – if they can just stay silent. Comedy captains Katherine Ryan, Seann Walsh and Fatiha El-Ghorri try to make them laugh and there are other guests, stunts and tricks designed to make them scream or shout.

“It’s a combination of practical jokes, bribes, surprises. It’s really fun,” Dermot explained.

Looking ahead he insisted he wouldn’t look at the reaction to the show on social media as it was “the wild west”.

After decades in the business, Dermot is more relaxed about his career and his aim is to stay on screen into old age, which would make his career similar to one of his heroes, Terry Wogan.

Dermot, 51, said: “I want to present as long as I’m really enjoying it, and as long as people want me to do it. I’m thrilled that I’m still doing it.

“My younger self would have probably questioned a couple of the choices. I would say to him don’t fret too much, but it’s easy for me to say that because actually, it was probably part of that work ethic that got you where you are in the first place.”

Dermot hosted The X Factor for eight years, from 2007 to 2014, returning in 2015 for the final three series.

He currently hosts This Morning on ITV on Fridays with Alison Hammond and also has his own Radio 2 weekend show.

Comedian Milton Jones cancels tour dates as he reveals prostate cancer diagnosis

Milton Jones has left fans shocked after said he is battling cancer as he announces a number of tour dates have been postponed as he undergoes surgery

Comedian Milton Jones says he is battling cancer as he announces a number of tour dates have been postponed as he undergoes surgery.

The much-loved standup, who has also appeared on comedy shows including Mock The Week, confirmed he will have an operation in the coming weeks after being diagnosed with prostate cancer, which he confirmed is “treatable”. He will focus on his recovery before returning to the stage as fans showered the star with support.

The funnyman, 60, joked that “abnormal service will resume as soon as possible” as he vowed to overcome the disease. Milton had been due at dozens of UK venues from next month but will focus on his health before picking up the mic.

He said in a statement: “I’m so sorry about this, but I need to announce the cancellation of several dates from my ongoing Ha!Milton live tour. The affected shows are in Leeds, Coventry, Basingstoke, Sterts, Launceston, Durham, Hexham, Ilkley, Wakefield, Lichfield, Tunbridge Wells, Portsmouth, and Lyme Regis which were all due to take place this summer.

“This difficult decision comes following a recent diagnosis of treatable prostate cancer. I’ll be undergoing surgery soon and will need time afterwards to fully recover.

“In addition, the Summer dates in Colchester, Bridlington, Stroud, and London will be rescheduled to the Autumn. All dates currently scheduled for the Autumn leg of the tour remain unaffected. Ticket holders for the cancelled shows will be contacted directly by the venue box office.

“Thanks for your support and respecting my privacy during this time. This decision has not been taken lightly. Trust me, abnormal service will resume as soon as possible and I’m looking forward to being back out on the road again soon—though probably not on a bike!”

Milton’s dead-pan delivery and incredible timing has seen the entertainer established as one of the nation’s top comedians. His career took off after appearances on Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo and ticket sales for his 70-venue summer gigs sold fast.

Fans were quick to send the comedian their love after he took to social media to explain why he will be off stage for quite some time. One told him: “Take as much time as you need, hoping all goes well.”

Another said: “Understandable Milton, get well soon and we look forward to laughing at you again when you are better…take care.” while someone teased back to Milton: “A problem which you are grateful the Doctor was able to put their finger on. Good luck, many things they can do with prostate cancer when caught early.”

TV presenter Jeremy Kyle has opened up about the support he received from two fellow ITV friends after the sudden cancellation of his ITV show in 2019

Jeremy Kyle has recently shared the names of two prominent TV personalities who stood by him following the cancellation of his ITV show in 2019. The decision to pull the show came after the tragic death of a guest, Steve Dymond, who died by suicide after failing a lie detector test while appearing on the programme.

Despite initial speculation, an inquest last September found no “clear and reliable causal connection” between Dymond’s death and his appearance on the show. In a heartfelt conversation with Kate Garraway, Jeremy, 59, revealed the key figures who offered him unwavering support during this difficult period.

He confessed: “You really learn who your friends are. Piers Morgan was straight in there, rock solid, and Kate Garraway was the same, rock solid. A lot of people reached out, and that’s what you need.”

Jeremy has appeared on Kate Garraway's Life Stories

Jeremy went on to explain that, despite the support from close friends like Kate and Piers, he had experienced a surge of unexpected messages following Kate’s Life Stories interview last month. “Three weeks ago when Kate’s interview aired, I got texts from people I hadn’t heard from in six years,” he shared.

The conversation then turned emotional as Jeremy recalled the moment he learned of Steve Dymond’s death. “I’ve got amazing people who saved me through it,” he said, reflecting on how his thoughts were always focused on Steve and his family during the crisis.

“But it was incredibly frustrating, Kate, because for five years, I wasn’t allowed to say anything due to legal restrictions.”

He opened up further about the overwhelming impact the incident had on everyone involved, including the show’s staff. “It snowballed quickly, and I thought about the people who lost their jobs, their homes, and their livelihoods. It became a massive news story, and the hardest part was being unable to speak up,” Jeremy said, expressing his frustration with the situation.

Acknowledging the gravity of the incident, Jeremy admitted he understood why the show was canceled and why some people were critical of it.

“I get it, I completely understand why the show had to end, and I know there were people who felt it was deserved. But honestly, there’s no bitterness or anger. You just find out who your true friends are.”

The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled in 2019 after airing 3,320 episodes over 17 series.

Rolf Harris’ mansion home has been put up for sale, two years after his death. The riverside property, in Bray, Berkshire, is being quietly marketed by Mayfair-based estate agents Benson International, with an asking price of £4million. Rolf’s only child Bindi inherited it and most of his £16million estate.

A source told the Mirror : “Bindi was seen emptying the property about a month ago. She wants to sell it, but she doesn’t desperately need the money and is in no rush, so she’s determined to hold out for a good price. Potential buyers have already begun viewings.” Rolf died of neck cancer at the house aged 93 in May 2023. His wife Alwen, who had been suffering from Alzheimer’s, died in August last year.

    Rolf Harris
Rolf Harris’ mansion is up for sale

He was jailed for five years and nine months in July 2014 after being found guilty of a dozen indecent assaults against four young girls.

His crimes, some of which occurred inside the house, took place between 1968 and 1986.

In one instance Harris reportedly sexually assaulted one of his daughter Bindi’s friends, who was between the ages of 13 and 19 at the time.

He was accused of performing a sex act on her there while his daughter slept in another room.

Rolf, who was born in Australia, had been living there for more than six decades after rising to fame in his early 20’s when he began performing a regular ten-minute cartoon drawing section in children’s show Jigsaw.

The house was designed in line with his childhood house on the banks of the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia, where he learned to swim before becoming a national junior backstroke champion aged 15.

It was renovated ahead of his release from jail in 2017, with workmen seen replacing a large patio at a cost of more than £10,000.

And the front drive, which is overlooked by a horsehead, was also dug up and the back garden was revamped.

Speaking about the property, our source said: “It’s a massive plot in a very desirable area on the banks of the Thames, so there’s bound to be interest.

“But it remains to be seen if its past and notoriety may put some people off.

“Anyone who can afford the asking price clearly has plenty of money, so it’s very likely they’ll knock the current house down and build a new modern property on the land.”

Benson International describe themselves as a “premium property specialist operating in the heart of London advising clients internationally with assets in the UK”.

Their website adds: “We are a private office who have worked alongside clients with discretion for many years.”

    They were contacted for comment.

Alex Jones was forced to interrupt a guest on The One Show after producers urged her to ‘move on’ from the conversation

The One Show presenter Alex Jones was forced to cut off a guest mid-interview after producers urged her to ‘move on’ from the conversation.

Alex returned to TV screens with co-host Roman Kemp on Monday (28th April), and the duo were joined by celebrity guests Elaine Paige, Giovanna Fletcher and Amanda Holden on the BBC One show.

It was during Amanda’s interview that Alex was forced to interrupt, as she was urged to change the subject before time ran out.

Amanda had been discussing her new Netflix show, Cheat: Unfinished Business, which sees her team up with relationship expert Paul C. Brunson, known for starring on Married At First Sight.

The TV personality teased the new reality series as an “absolute rollercoaster” and promised Netflix viewers plenty of “chaos”.

Alex was clearly eager to hear more about the show, but told Amanda: “I’ve got so many questions, but we are being told ‘Move on!’”

Amanda laughed at the interruption, prompting Alex to switch the conversation to the new BBC game show, The Inner Circle, which Amanda hosts.

“There’s a BBC quiz show that you’ve done…,” Alex began, with Amanda joking: “Oh, the quiz show! Oh, it’s because it’s for the BBC! Who’s upstairs asking?!”

Amanda’s comment prompted everyone to laugh, with the Britain’s Got Talent judge then sharing some details about the new game show, which is due to premiere later this year.

“Yes, I’ve just finished filming. I was thrilled to be asked to do it, because I’ve never thought about doing anything like that before,” Amanda began

Amanda Holden on The One Show
Amanda Holden shared details of her latest TV projects

She went on to explain how the show looks at “human nature” and winners must decide whether to share their earnings or take them for themselves.

“It’s called The Inner Circle. It’s a general knowledge quiz. It’s a cross between The Weakest Link, Golden Balls, all kinds of shows. Again, it’s about human nature because at the end you get a pot of money and you’re working with a person. It’s about whether you split, or shaft,” she added.

Amanda then quipped; “And it’s general knowledge… I’m like, ‘Why have you got me to host?!’ but, I wore some fabulous frocks!”

Someone is targeting Lauren Bolton on Coronation Street after her crash lie was rumbled.

The teen was caught up in a van theft last week with fellow youngster Betsy Swain, and the pair were horrified when Lauren crashed the vehicle. Betsy had dragged Lauren into her vendetta against the van’s owner Tracy Barlow, and covered for her.

With Lauren facing trouble with the law on numerous occasions and fearing she might lose custody of her poorly baby son Frankie, Betsy decided to take full responsibility. She claimed she was the one driving and that no one else was at the scene.

Of course given her arm injury, amid an update on that this week, Betsy’s mother detective Lisa Swain was quick to suggest someone had to have been with her. This was backed by the officer attending the scene who claimed to have seen a young blonde girl with Betsy.

Betsy denied this and claimed she was and drove alone, crashing the car. Lisa was keen to get to the bottom of it, while Betsy met with Lauren to tell her she had kept her name out of it, and that it would stay that way.

Lauren was grateful, only to be left horrified when she started getting messages from a mystery sender who knew the truth. The person sent her a text message that said they knew she was the one driving the van, not Betsy.

These messages continued this week, with Lauren getting more texts from the person who claimed to know it was her who crashed the van. She confided in her pal and ex lover Bobby Crawford, revealing it was her who crashed the van.

She told him about the messages, unsure who was behind it. The episode dropped a major hint that it was Bobby himself behind the mystery harassment, with him shown on his phone in a random scene.

He’d told Lauren it was likely just someone messing about, and so he told her to “do nothing”, before he suggested the person can’t have proof. He told her if they did, they would have made a blackmail demand while the sender only said “it would cost her”.

Lauren was thoughtful about this but then got sent a picture of her behind the wheel. In this moment Lauren was fearing the worst, while not much later in the episode we saw Bobby in The Bistro and he was on his phone.

We didn’t see who he was talking to or why, but it came off the back of his chat with Lauren about the messages. But fans think it’s someone other than Bobby behind it all.

Taking to social media fans guessed it might be Lisa behind the messages, trying to scare her into confessing to stop her daughter Betsy from getting into trouble. One fan posted: “Everyone on Facebook seems to think it Lisa but was Lisa with Carla when this happened?”

Another fan said: “I bet it’s Betsy’s mum,” as a third posted: “I think it was Betsy’s mum.” A further comment read: “Lisa Swain is texting Lauren.” Others suspected it might be Tracy though, or maybe even Betsy herself.

Joe Swash has admitted he has made “mistakes” over the course of his nine year romance with Stacey Solomon. The 43-year-old EastEnders star has been in a relationship with 35-year-old Loose Women star Stacey since 2016.

The couple tied-the-knot in 2022 and they have welcomed three children together; son Rex, daughter Rose, and youngest daughter Belle. Together the couple raise Joe’s son, Harry, from a previous relationship – as well as Stacey’s older sons Zachary and Leighton from two of her prior romances.

The couple welcomed cameras into their home, Pickle Cottage, for their show, titled Stacey & Joe. Promoting the show via an interview with The Sunday Times, the couple insisted they weren’t trying to portray a fake, glamorised marriage via the series.

Opening up to the weekend paper, Joe said: “We haven’t got all the answers. Our kids throw tantrums just the same as everybody else’s. We argue, but it’s generally for the right reasons — because we’re trying to sort out what’s best for the kids and our family.”

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have opened up about their near decade long relationship
Stacey and Joe have welcomed cameras into their lives for a reality TV show(Image: Stacey Solomon/Instagram)

Going into detail about the show, he then confessed: “We aren’t trying to portray a glamorous lifestyle. Bringing up a family these days isn’t easy and we all make mistakes. But you admit your mistake, learn from it and move on.”

Praising his wife, Joe said: “Without her, the house would fall apart.” And he then said: “I know that being with me can’t be easy. I was on my own for years and lived like a student, eating takeaways, only doing the washing up when I ran out of plates. Stacey has organised me and the kids and the whole thing.”

Joe’s comments come months after he and Stacey rowed in the streets. The incident took place in November last year – with reports suggesting Stacey was reduced to tears following the argument.

The Sun has reported that the couple will discuss the incident in upcoming scenes from the new show – which is expected to air on Tuesday. It is suggested the duo argued after emotions came to the fore during a tense therapy session.

Stacey is said to have booked a session for her and Joe at the Henry Centre in Westcliff, Essex to help Joe after he was diagnosed with ADHD. They speak to counsellor Natalie Corbett, when Joe reportedly says: “All I am doing is trying to dedicate myself to my family and do everything I possibly can, every minute of the day.

“Then to sit here and listen to the fact that I am a huge problem — all I am hearing is that I am a huge problem in Stacey’s perfect life.”

Stacey then allegedly replied: “I would say this is our biggest issue in our whole relationship. I cannot say anything without you taking it so personally as an attack on you as a whole person.” The couple are then shown discussing what they thought of the therapy session in the car after the row.

It is suggested Joe wasn’t a fan of the session as he admits he “hated every second”. Despite this, Stacey suggests they give it another go as she thinks they can be “so happy” together. She then says that she doesn’t think the issues in their relationship come down to Joe’s ADHD and the couple decide to continue with the sessions and raise a toast to a “lifetime of counselling”.

Stacey & Joe airs on BBC One on Tuesday’s at 8pm.

Kate Lawler rushed to hospital over agonising condition that doctors couldn’t diagnose

Former Big Brother winner and TV personality Kate Lawler has opened up on a harrowing health battle that would leave her hunched over in pain and even hospitalised

Kate Lawler has urged for better education within the NHS regarding women’s health as she shared her own experience of being hospitalised due to severe pain.

The 44-year-old star appeared on Monday’s episode of Loose Women, where she discussed her health struggle that left her doubled over in pain while doctors struggled to identify her condition.

Kate described her discomfort as a constant stabbing sensation in her groin area, which was particularly problematic during her menstrual cycle or after intimacy.

The issue first emerged in 2017, with the former Big Brother champion undergoing numerous medical appointments, scans and even an A&E visit to determine the cause. At one point, a doctor suggested she had a hernia, but this was not the case. Kate also suspected appendicitis, but this was also ruled out.

    Kate Lawler
Kate opened up on her harrowing experience

It wasn’t until several years later, by chance, that Kate was informed by a leading varicose veins specialist in London that she had Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, following a series of tests.

She had initially visited the Bond Street clinic to address varicose veins on her legs when the doctor asked if she had been experiencing abdominal and pelvic pain, reports Surrey Live.

    Kate wanted to raise awareness

After revealing her prolonged agony, he ordered tests which confirmed she had been suffering from the condition for some time. According to the NHS website, Pelvic Congestion Syndrome is a chronic pain condition caused by varicose veins in the pelvis, particularly the ovarian veins. It is treated with technology that stops the problematic vein from working.

Kate, who is now on a mission to raise awareness about the relatively unknown condition and advocate for more guidance and education when it comes to women’s health, shared her own experience on the popular daytime show.

Jane initiated the conversation, recalling the moment when Kate was rushed to hospital while on holiday back in 2018. Kate revealed: “My symptoms started in December 2017, I had the worst pain in my lower groin area and I went to the doctors I had a transabdominal scan, I had a pelvic scan, I ended up in A&E in the March, here in the UK because the pain was so bad.”

She continued: “I then had another scan, everything was telling me, well the AandE trip, she said she thought I had a hernia. I didn’t have a hernia. Then I thought I had an appendicitis, it wasn’t that.

“Then I ended up in Greece, on holiday and I was like ‘something bad is happening’ and they were like ‘everything is fine’ and i was like ‘am I going mad?’”

Loose Women was halted as a phone started ringing in the audience during the live broadcast, with panellist Myleene Klass left telling the audience “it’s the lawyers”

The latest episode of Loose Women was unexpectedly disrupted live on air during the ITV daytime show.

Jane Moore, who was hosting the panel alongside Linda Robson, Myleene Klass and Brenda Edwards on Monday (April 28), had to deal with an unexpected interruption when a mobile phone started ringing in the studio.

Myleene lightened the mood by joking: “It’s the lawyers” which left the studio audience and her co-stars in fits of laughter.

Jane later addressed the incident, saying: “I think we’ve sorted out the phone.

“That’s the perils of live television which we were talking about earlier.”

However, as Tina spoke about the “importance” of friendship, some viewers took to social media to voice their complaints.

A third commenter didn’t hold back when they said: “God, you can tell Jane was disinterested in Tina Knowles, and her frostiness was palpable. Also, what was with Coleen and her catty comment?”.

The same person went on to suggest: “Clearly, these women don’t like to celebrate successful women from different backgrounds to them.”
