Linda Nolan’s stepson dies after devastating incurable cancer battle

Linda Nolan’s step-son who had been fighting metastatic throat cancer has sadly died four months after the singer also passed away following a fight with the disease

Linda Nolan’s stepson, who had also been fighting cancer, has tragically died. Lloyd died on Tuesday after fighting throat cancer.

Lloyd, the son of Linda’s husband, Brian, had been diagnosed with throat cancer in September 2023. His tumour was too large and close to his vocal cords, so surgery had been ruled out. Linda, who was also battling cancer, had been supporting Lloyd, who underwent an intense round of radiotherapy.

A family friend said: “They were fighting side by side, Linda would finish her treatment and text him to check in. They joked about their meds, shared their side effects, cried together too. Linda really thought he’d outlive her. She needed that belief.”

Lloyd’s cousin also took to social media to share a touching tribute as she explained cancer had “ripped” her family apart. She said: “My brain won’t accept this is true. My big cousin.. @lloydahudson… The one that took me to my first ever London warehouse DnB rave, played wild with me… But protected me, could make me belly laugh with crude humour… But also have the best deep and meaningfuls. I have to hold on to the memories… Some of the best and craziest bastard memories I have ever made that I will take to the grave.

“But right now the devastation is clouding everything. What I wouldn’t give for one more heart-to-heart round the park, or just a pizza night. I haven’t even got the mental strength to seek out any pictures of us when we were young and I so desperately want to see them right now… The 3 most recent pics we took are were still in my camera roll.”

She went on to add: “I hope you were welcomed by your Pops and Aunty Lin and you are no longer suffering. The injustice of you being SO insightful recently and having so many years ripped away from you is the part that is destroying me more than anything. I have been sat here crying hoping this was all a really bad nightmare.. but as time goes by the reality is becoming clearer and it’s really swept my legs from under me. Cancer can f**k off. It has literally ripped my family apart on both sides and every angle for the past 5 months.”

While undergoing treatment, Lloyd was rushed to hospital after suffering a bleed when ulcers had formed around his tumour, causing further complications. But last year, things appeared to be hopeful for him after scans confirmed that his throat cancer had cleared.

A friend said: “Linda was absolutely over the moon. She kept saying ‘I’ll be the one to go, but he is going to be fine,’ she clung to that.” Sadly, when it emerged that Linda’s tumours had metastasised to her brain, Lloyd also discovered that his cancer had spread to his lungs and was incurable.

It had later spread to his mouth, brain and liver. But those close to Lloyd said he remained strong for the people around him. “He was brave, selfless and dignified,” a friend said, adding: “He never wanted pity, he just wanted to beat it. But this disease is cruel.” A source claimed that Linda would be “heartbroken” after the cruel disease took another member of her family.

Linda tragically died after contracting double pneumonia following her courageous fight with cancer in January this year and was laid to rest in Blackpool, where she had lived with her family. Her husband, Brian, also tragically died in 2007 following a fight with the cruel disease.

Her sister, Bernie also died from cancer in July 2013, having been diagnosed with breast cancer three years prior. Despite being given the all-clear in February 2012, just months later, Bernie confirmed that her cancer had returned and metastasised to her brain, lungs, liver and bones,

Anne Nolan, had also fought cancer having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000. She underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy before being given the clear after six months of treatment. 20 years later, almost to the day, Anne’s cancer returned but in a different breast.

In 2022, the singer and actress revealed she had beaten the disease again. Youngest sister, Coleen, who fronts Loose Women announced in July 2023 that she had been diagnosed with basal-cell carcinoma – a form of skin cancer, which she initially believed was eczema.

Brother Brian Nolan was also diagnosed with level 2 prostate cancer just three days after Linda’s death. Speaking to the Mirror in a rare interview, Brian said: “I just want cancer to leave us alone. You’re never ready for somebody to say: ‘Yes, you’ve got cancer’. It’s like being hit by a train. You start plunging into the abyss of: ‘I’m going to die’. The urologist stood up and said ‘We’re going to treat this and we’re going to cure this’. I’m focusing on that and hope to God I can have the courage my sisters had.”

Niall Harbison’s stories of street dogs in Thailand have been keeping social media users enthralled since his move to the Asian country in 2022. The Irish native upped sticks and set up a charity in a bid to help the thousands of animals in need.

Its rapid growth now sees his Happy Doggo organisation to sterilise 7,000 dogs and feed 300,000 each month. However, it’s his rescue stories that continue to capture the attention of his audience.

With around five million followers across platforms, with 1.3million watching his Instagram content, Niall boasts a number of high-profile names as his followers, including Gemma Atkinson, Sam Fender, Charlie Lawson and Ruth Langsford.

A Sky comedy show featuring two huge comedians – Nish Kumar and Josh Widdicombe – has reportedly been axed after two seasons following low ratings

Sky’s Hold the Front Page has reportedly been axed

A huge Sky comedy show, featuring stars Nish Kumar and Josh Widdicombe, has reportedly been axed following low ratings.

Hold the Front Page, which began in 2022 and has two series saw the comedic duo leap into the unique and often sensational world of local news.

The pair were seen travelling across the UK working for a different newspaper each week, fulfilling a mission to find local stories strong enough to make the front page.

However, it looks like the pair failed to create a story engaging enough for viewers, as the show has reportedly been shelved, and won’t be coming back for a third season, The Sun reports.

“The irony of the scenario is not lost on the creative team behind the show, because as a comedian involved in satire Josh is often making swipes at the media,” a source told the publication.

“But he got a taste of what its like to have to report on what’s going on and realised just what a tough job it can be – particularly when you have to start out in the local press.”

The Mirror has contacted Sky for comment.

Throughout their time filming for the show, the pair visited a number of cities to get the latest scoop. During the first episode, they headed to the Isle of Wight to work for the County Press, where they met Princess Anne.

During the same series, they also took a trip to Benidorm to lead the region’s weekly British newspaper, the Euro Weekly News.

Despite their best journalistic efforts, the duo failed to impress audiences, reportedly receiving low ratings as well as poor reviews for the show.

It’s not the only stroke of bad luck Josh has had on TV recently. At the end of last year, the star appeared on Saturday Kitchen where he narrowly avoided a painful experience. During the episode in November, Matt Tebbutt was busy whipping up fondue for the comic when Josh decided to get adventurous with the equipment.

He cheekily tested the cheese-melting burner, even after host Matt had cautiously used garlic to anoint the pot before setting it beside the roaring blue flame.

The comedian and Strictly Come Dancing Christmas 2024 star couldn’t resist placing his hand directly above the flame and immediately recoiled, letting out a scream, to which Matt quickly warned, “Yeah, yeah, watch your hand!”

Stacey Solomon has shared an emotional message with fans following the end of the first series of her BBC reality show with Joe Swash – which has now been confirmed for a second series.

Just like her fans, the former X Factor star sat down ready to watch the final episode of Stacey & Joe: Full House last night, as she took to her Instagram stories to thank fans for their support.

Speaking to her followers, Stacey said: “I’m just sitting down, the girls have gone to bed and I’m getting ready to watch our show.

    Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash
Stacey Solomon opened the doors into her home life for the show

“I’ve just realised it’s the last episode tonight it’s gone so quickly I feel like it was only yesterday we were pooing ourselves about it coming out on the telly and now it’s at the end.

“I’ve enjoyed watching it back and then hearing from you and getting your feedback and stuff so I just wanted to say thank you, thanks for watching it.”

As well as the positive moments, the show also showed the downside of the couple’s family life, as for the first time, fans were privy to the cracks in their own relationship. During the show, the pair, who tied the knot in 2022 revealed they’ve turned to marriage therapy to keep their relationship on track.

A source later told OK! that Stacey and Joe perhaps underplayed what a big step it would be, inviting cameras in for every tricky moment.

They have opened the doors to their home with their children(Image:

“They underestimated how difficult it was going to be doing this reality show and having cameras around, and watching it back hasn’t been the easiest thing. The pressures of all the kids and work while balancing their relationship has been hard, they won’t deny that”, they said.

As well as the positive comments, Stacey and Joe had also received backlash for the show. In one scene in particular, viewers were left stunned when when the former EastEnders actor came home five hours later than planned despite Stacey needing help due to an important meeting.

A source then claimed Stacey had regrets about the show all together. “Stacey is regretting signing up to do the show,” a source told the Sun. “She’s not used to the backlash they are getting as everything she touches normally turns to gold.”

They added: “She feels like she is coming across as bossy. He can’t manage anything without her, so she is forced to be the ‘grown up’. It’s caused friction.”

Despite this, after the final episode last night, it was revealed Stacey and Joe’s reality show had officially been renewed for a second series. The fly-on-the-wall docuseries, which first aired in April, gave fans an unfiltered look at the couple’s hectic home life with their children, ducks, and two dogs in their Essex countryside retreat.

In a joint statement, Stacey and Joe said: “The biggest thank you to every single person who watched the first series of Stacey And Joe… We’ve been so grateful for all the lovely messages and we’re so excited to bring out another series with the BBC.”

The professional skater is having to pay for the surgery himself after he was discharged from NHS care last year due to a clerical error.

Dancing On Ice star Brendyn Hatfield has revealed he’s gone through surgery after being rushed to hospital following a hidden health battle that left him struggling to breathe. The 39-year-old professional skater, who first joined the ITV series in 2019, posted a video on social media where he explained that he has been dealing with severe asthmatic symptoms for over a year despite having no history of the respiratory condition.

Brendyn kept his update light at first, greeting viewers with a playful Ace Ventura impression. But it soon turned serious as he shared: “It’s a big day tomorrow. Going in for a little bit of surgery. Everybody close to me knows what’s going on.”

The skater revealed that his issues started a year and a half ago with sudden asthma attacks that sent him to A&E multiple times. He added: “Never dealt with it my whole life. Like breathing – it’s been really hard.”

After running tests doctors discovered a number of complications with his sinuses, and recommended surgery. But after being accidentally discharged from NHS care in October last year, Brendyn was told he wouldn’t be seen again until December 2025.

“I can’t live like this anymore,” he admitted. “So it’s not a massive surgery, but the bill sure is – because the NHS could not fit me in for another year.”

Despite his frustration with the delay and what he described as a “clerical error”, Brendyn stayed positive, telling fans: “I’m excited to get it done…everything works out in the end and you just keep going, you know?”

The skater, who has previously appeared on five seasons of the hit ice-dancing show, recently confirmed his departure from Dancing On Ice ahead of the 2025 series.

Following his exit, ITV announced the long-running series would be axed in 2026 due to declining viewership figures. An ITV spokesperson said: “Following another successful series earlier this year, Dancing On Ice will be rested in 2026 with no current plans for another series.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who have worked on the show since 2006, and over the previous 17 series, for all of their hard work both on and off the ice.”

Brendyn is currently dating former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens, who recently called him her “soulmate” in a sweet Instagram post for his 40th birthday. The singer previously admitted that meeting Brendyn was the final blow for her marriage with Alex Bourne, which she described as being on the rocks before her Dancing On Ice stint.

In an interview with the Sun, she said: “It was messy. I knew that we were growing, that I was growing apart, but I was in turmoil, because, first of all, my kids.”

Rachel added that it was “really scary” to tell her husband she was falling for Brendyn, because she knew that would signal the end of their relationship, but she is glad she did as her new partner is “a beautiful human” and she is filled with love for him.

Coleen Nolan ‘can’t sleep at night’ over horrific Madeleine McCann documentary airing tonight

Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan has revealed that she “can’t sleep at night” after seeing details of cases like Madeleine McCann’s disappearance as the show discussed a new documentary

Coleen Nolan has admitted that she’s being caused so “much stress” by seeing details on social media of horrific cases like that of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance ahead of a new documentary tonight.

Speaking about whether the public need to know about the investigation into suspect Christian Brueckner looked at in detail in Madeleine McCann: The Unseen Evidence, Coleen told Loose Women: “My thing is I think we all have this morbid curiosity and I’m including myself in that. But over the last few months, I’ve realised how much stress it’s causing me to the point where sometimes I can’t sleep at night because I don’t need actually to know all those details.

“It stays in my mind. Whether it’s about this case or anything – awful things on social media that I go to scroll past but then something else comes up but you’ve seen it.”

Coleen added that since the introduction of police officer bodycam, the footage has “become a reality show on social media”. She said: “We’re seeing every single awful thing that happens whether it’s this country or around the world. I just think we’re being overloaded with things that are out of our control.

“No wonder people have serious mental health issues because we’re being bombarded with so much negative, awful information.

“No wonder we don’t let our children go two foot out of our sight in a children’s play area because we think, ‘But that video I saw last week on social media.’ Everyone is becoming so paranoid about life in general. Life’s too short.”

Tonight’s documentary, which is airing on Channel 4, looks into a year-long investigation by Sun journalist Rob Pattinson into new evidence around Madeleine’s disappearance. The film is believed to highlight Brueckner’s alleged obsession with young children. Brueckner has denied any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance.

Earlier today, it was reportedly that police investigating the child’s disappearance from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in 2007 after remaining tight-lipped about a hard drive of images found at the home of prime suspect Brueckner.

The pictures are said to be part of new evidence that will be revealed in tonight’s documentary after German police searched Bruckner’s home and reportedly found children’s clothes and guns.

Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford has candidly opened up about the moment she realised her status as a “fun mum” had expired with her son. The ITV favourite, who shares her 23-year-old son with her former partner Eamonn Holmes, 65, opened up about their dynamic in a recent chat.

Discussing whether her son enjoys teasing her, the 65 year old admitted it’s usually her playing the joker. “He’s 23 now, no he’s not a wind-up actually. I probably do it more to him,” Ruth revealed on Loose Women. She reflected on a “sudden” shift in how her son perceived her antics.

She noted: “You’ll find this, when they are little, they adore you, they love you, they want to be around you all the time.”, reports Devon Live.

“Jack and I are very close, I thought I was a really fun mum and I used to do things like sing, and I’d sing like the wrong lyrics and I’d get the name of the group wrong.”

On the There I’ve Said It podcast, Ruth shared a humorous mix-up: “You know like Rizzle Kicks? I’d come in and I’d go, ‘Ah, I love Twizzle Sticks, they’re great’.”

She recalled how her son used to find her supermarket dancing endearing: “Jack thought I was hilarious right, and then we’d be in the supermarket and I would dance and he thought I was hilarious.”

But things changed abruptly: “And then suddenly, I can’t remember what age, I was in the supermarket, it came on and I was like, ‘Twizzle Sticks, Jack!’”.

His reaction signalled a change: “He was literally like [squirming] ‘Mum!’ and then it suddenly happens and it’s like, oh he doesn’t find me amusing anymore and if you talk about sex, like no!”.

Despite being a public figure, Ruth is known for keeping her son out of the spotlight, rarely sharing images of him on her social media platforms. Ruth often shares insights into her family life during her stints on ITV’s Loose Women and in media chats.

Last year, chatting with Woman and Home Magazine, she praised her son Jack as “the most delightful, caring and wonderful young man”. Focusing on her deepest desires, Ruth confessed: “Happiness. Happiness for my son Jack.”

She reflected on parenthood, saying, “When you have children, you look at them starting out in life and you just want everything to be good for them, for them to be happy and to not have their hearts broken.”

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth went public with their separation in May 2024, and it’s understood that divorce proceedings are still ongoing.

The duo, who were a familiar pair on This Morning, had a 14-year marriage. Speaking of the breakup to the same magazine, Ruth admitted she is “not delighted” about her marriage ending but has come to “accepted” the situation.

Embracing her new life chapter, she added, “So I am trying to now embrace the fact that I’m single and can make choices that are just about me,”.

While Ruth appears to remain single, Eamonn has reportedly started seeing relationship expert Katie Alexander, aged 43.

90s glamour models now – homelessness, breakdowns and Hollywood fame

The likes of FHM, Zoo, Nuts, and Loaded were once the go-to for lads looking for an eyeful of their favourite glamour models. But what happened to the babes once the lads’ mag industry went bust?

    Leilani Dowding
Leilani Dowding went on to star on The Real Housewives of Cheshire

In the present day, people often slide into the DMs of attractive Instagram models for a bit of fun. However, back in the early 2000s, if you fancied a quick peek, you had to physically go to the shop and purchase a magazine.

FHM, Loaded, Nuts and Zoo were the popular choices, featuring a plethora of busty beauties that graced the bedroom walls of lads nationwide.

But as the decade came to an end, due to the rise of the internet and shifting attitudes towards glamour models, the lads’ mag industry found itself struggling, leaving its pin-ups searching for a new path. Some fared better than others, reports the Daily Star.

From homelessness and illness to heartbreak and unexpected Hollywood careers, here’s what happened next for the lads’ mag babes….

    Gail Porter

    Gail Porter
Gail was a TV presenter before turning to glamour modelling(Image: DS)

Gail initially made her name hosting Fully Booked and Top of the Pops, but soon expanded her career to become a favourite of the lads’ mags, discussing orgasms and even having her naked rear projected onto the Houses of Parliament to promote FHM magazine’s 100 sexiest women poll in 1999.

The Scottish star tied the knot with Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave in 2001 and welcomed daughter Honey a year later.

Despite appearances, she was privately living with post-natal depression and when her marriage ended in 2005, she was hit with alopecia and lost all her hair.

“It was absolutely terrifying, I didn’t know what was going on,” she later recounted.

“We didn’t have any therapy, we just sat there. People were crying and acting quite strangely, obviously. I was drugged up to my eyeballs and found it all very distressing.”

Then in 2017, Gail, now 54, faced the darkest time of her life when she declared bankruptcy and found herself without a home, resorting to sleeping on a park bench in Hampstead Heath.

“Those were the scariest nights of my life. There were lots of terrifying noises. I had no idea what they were. I was freezing and I didn’t know who was coming for me,” she shared with The Sun.

She attributed her financial downfall to her hair loss.

“Losing my hair was a big thing. I was OK with it and people around me would say it was fine but people stopped booking me for TV work,” she explained.

“The jobs that were coming so freely during the nineties weren’t there for me any more. By then I was renting a place and my savings started to dribble away.”

Hailing from Lewisham, London, and born to a dinner lady mum and window-fitter dad, Keeley’s rise to stardom began when she clinched victory in the Daily Star’s Search for a Beach Babe contest at the age of 17.

With candid remarks such as: “If I’m swimming in a pool and my bikini pops off, I’m not bothered – I’ll just carry on,” she quickly became a favourite, landing gigs with Loaded, Nuts, Zoo, and FHM, which playfully described her as a Kentish melon farmer.

Living out her wildest dreams at the peak of her career, she reminisced: “I was travelling all the time, and financially my situation changed a lot. I was earning a lot of money. At the time you don’t realise and I look back and think ‘that was crazy.’”

    Keeley Hazell
Keeley Hazell recently starred on Ted Lasso

Now 38, Keeley once topped the list as the glamour model with more sultry snaps than anyone else in her heyday but hung up her bikini in 2009 when her earnings plummeted from £30,000 a shoot to a meagre £1,000 due to dipping magazine sales.

Shrewdly, she turned her financial tide by investing in acting lessons in Los Angeles, going on to appear in the acclaimed 2011’s Like Crazy, British gangster flick St George’s Da,y and the Hollywood hit Horrible Bosses 2.

On the set of Horrible Bosses, Keeley met actor Jason Sudeikis, who was dating actress and director Olivia Wilde at the time. Then, in 2020, she began starring in Ted Lasso, a sports comedy-drama, staying in the role until the programme’s finale and even co-writing an episode.

Keeley was reunited with her Horrible Bosses co-star, Jason, 49, as he played Ted, and the two dated from 2021 to 2022.

On Keeley’s Instagram, her bio pokes fun at her old career, reading: ‘Livin’ my breast life’, but notes her current occupation as ‘writer’. Her debut memoir, Everyone’s Seen My T**s, will be released on July 15, 2025.

    Leilani Dowding

Leilani Dowding didn’t just rely on her looks; the brainy beauty studied economics at the University of London and claimed the title of Miss Great Britain before becoming the toast of the lad mags.

Yet she left it all behind for a life in Los Angeles in the mid-noughties, where she later married Raquel Welch’s ex-husband, restaurant mogul Richie Palmer.

Despite the love they shared, they struggled with the 26-year age difference, ultimately leading to divorce due to conflicting views on starting a family.

Speaking out against accusations of being a gold digger on VH1’s Tough Love Miami, Leilani defended her integrity, saying: “I was the one who wanted to get divorced from my ex. He just assumed I would want something from it and offered me a huge settlement. Because it was my choice, I didn’t ask for anything.”

Leilani Dowding starred on The Real Housewives of Cheshire

Tackling assumptions head-on, she said: “Because he is a lot older, people assume that yes, I was a gold digger. My ex husband was amazing and such a gentlemen.

“But he didn’t want kids and I did. That is why we didn’t work out. We are still friends and if he ever thought I was just out for money, he would probably never speak to me again.”

Leilani, 45, joined The Real Housewives of Cheshire in series nine following the departure of original Housewife, Lauren Simon. But after just one series, Leilani confirmed she would be departing the ITVBe programme.

    Leilani Dowling
Leilani won’t be returning to RHOC(Image: Leilani Dowling/Instagram)

But six years after her exit, the show hit its tenth anniversary with many original stars including Tanya Bardsley, Leanne Brown, Dawn Ward and Magali Gorre making their return to the show. They have been joined by Hanna Kinsella, Ester Dee and Nermina Pieters-Mekic.

However, Leilani, who found fame as a glamour model, later took to social media to reveal she wasn’t asked back for the tenth anniversary. The star, who is engaged to The Cult’s Billy Duffy believes it’s down to her often controversial comments on social media.

Sharing a video on social media, Leilani said: “A few of my friends and some people I don’t know who follow me or the show have asked if I’ll be going back on The Real Housewives of Cheshire as it’s the tenth anniversary and they’re bringing back a lot of the previous cast members. But no, I haven’t been asked.

“It’s possible because I’ve been very outspoken about political and social things that no-one on mainstream TV should ever talk about. Also, I think it’s more likely because there would be no storyline for me. I live south of Cheshire now, just a little bit, south of the border. I haven’t spoken to or hung out with any of the women since I left the show.”

Abi Titmuss first became a tabloid fixation when she stood by then-beau John Leslie during his infamous 2003 sexual assault case collapse.

The former nurse changed jobs and became a reporter for Richard and Judy. But her new career was derailed in 2004 when a sex tape featuring herself, John and model Aisha Abubakar was leaked, leading to her dismissal from the show.

However, Abi left modelling behind in the mid-noughties to study the craft of acting at the renowned Central School of Speech and Drama, subsequently bagging a role on BBC’s Casualty in 2012.

Her next big leap took her stateside, landing the role of Nurse Jackie in hit soap Days of Our Lives, where she found love with Ari Welkom.

In a January 2015 revelation on Loose Women, Abi declared she had rebranded herself as Abigail Evelyn, stepping away from her glamour modelling past.

She and Ari tied the knot in May 2017 amidst the joy of pregnancy, while she was 21 weeks along with their first child.

“I met Ari when I was 38 and got pregnant naturally at 40,” Abi told to the Loose Women panel.

With an envious figure, it’s no shocker that she was once crowned FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World.

Having burst onto the glamour scene in 1997, Kelly Brook quickly became adored by readers as a Page 3 icon, and graced FHM’s Sexiest countdown with her presence annually until its closure in 2015.

Now 45, Kelly had a disastrous stint presenting the Big Breakfast in 1999 before she quit after just a matter of months, amid claims she stumbled over the pronunciation of big words.

You can’t keep a good girl down though and Kelly bounced back, hosting Celebrity Love Island and getting engaged to Hollywood actor Billy Zane. But their engagement came to an end, eventually parting ways in 2008

Her private life faced further heartache when, in 2011, Kelly experienced devastating loss – a miscarriage five months into her pregnancy with then-boyfriend, rugby ace Thom Evans, followed by yet another later that year.

Their relationship couldn’t weather the storm, with Thom relocating to Los Angeles for his modelling career soon after and making it clear he saw no future in taking their commitment any further. “When I brought up the subject of marriage and children, the colour drained from his face,” Kelly revealed in her autobiography.

She claimed: “He wanted to focus on his ‘new life’ in LA – a wife and children would slow him down. He didn’t want to be in a relationship anymore. It was obvious.”

Nowadays, she lives in Kent alongside her model husband Jeremy, and hosted the drive time show on Heart London.

Kelly had undergone a health transformation in the last few years, dropping two stone and four dress sizes. She’s a proud ambassador for SlimFast and credited the plan for her impressive weight management milestone, having trimmed down from a size 16 to a size 12.

Reflecting on her past battles with weight fluctuation during the 2010s, she told the Mirror: “I wasn’t feeling happy in my body. I wanted to lose weight, and now I’ve lost it. I’m maintaining it and feel really good.”

Holly Willoughby’s horrific murder plot ordeal is being explored in Channel 5’s new documentary, The Plot to Kill Holly Willoughby, with the one-off film looking at how security guard Gavin Plumb was convicted of planning to rape and kill the TV presenter.

Gavin Plumb, a shopping centre security officer, was found guilty of plotting to kidnap, rape and murder the former This Morning host last July. He was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison as a result. The mum-of-three was preparing to present This Morning at ITV studios on 5th October 2023, a day that started as any other Thursday, when she was informed of the chilling plot and taken off-air.

Alison Hammond stepped up at the last minute to fill in for Holly, presenting the show with Josie Gibson as police relayed the horrifying details of the plot to her co-star.

Essex Police released a statement at the time, stating: “A 36-year-old man from Harlow has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap as part of an ongoing investigation. The arrest was made on Wednesday 4th October. He is currently in custody.”

In the aftermath, Holly was under constant police protection, with officers seen outside her London home, which she shares with husband Dan Baldwin and their three children.

The TV star didn’t publicly comment on the alleged plot or the suspect’s arrest and stayed off our screens for over a week, before then confirming her permanent departure from This Morning.

On 10th October, the beloved presenter Holly Willoughby took to Instagram to share her heartfelt departure from This Morning after a remarkable 14-year stint. She expressed to her fans: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has so many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.”

She continued with a touching message: “This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I will forever be proud of what we have done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You have been so supportive and the very best company every day.”

In a stark contrast to the warmth of her farewell, the following month saw a chilling development in court. On 3rd November, Gavin Plumb appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court for a pre-trial and plea hearing concerning alarming charges against him.

Accused of plotting a grave crime, he faced allegations of conspiring to murder Willoughby and was charged with soliciting to commit murder and incitement to kidnap.

Plumb, hailing from Potters Field, Harlow, firmly denied the accusations, pleading not guilty. However, in July last year, the court heard how Plumb had planned a “home invasion” at the TV presenter’s property, plotting to tie her up and rape her before murdering her.

The 36-year-old had amassed over 10,000 images of the This Morning star on his phone, including deepfake pornography. His plan was foiled by undercover American police officer David Nelson who infiltrated his online group Abduct Lovers. The pair then began exchanging messages offline, with Plumb detailing his plan.

Plumb and Nelson exchanged 300 messages privately with the officer having monitored a public group called Abduct Lovers on the Kik app where the defendant had tried to recruit others to help attack Holly Willoughby.

The detective told Chelmsford Crown Court that he was sure Plumb “fully intended to carry out his plans”. Essex Police officers who raided Plumb’s flat in Harlow found bottles of chloroform and an “abduction kit” complete with cable ties.

After being found guilty, Plumb was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 15 years and 85 days. Nicola Rice, a specialist prosecutor in the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “The sentence handed down to Gavin Plumb ensures he will remain in prison, where he can no longer threaten or harm women.

“There is no doubt Gavin Plumb posed a real danger and the CPS proved that his plans to kidnap, rape and murder Holly Willoughby were more than mere fantasy and he had every intention of encouraging others to help him.“I hope today’s sentence brings some comfort to the victim, as well as the victims of his previous offences and sends a clear message that the CPS will always bring the strongest possible case against those who plan violence against women.“

Prince Harry’s last meeting with King Charles that ‘only took 12 minutes’

Prince Harry has been estranged from the royal family for some time – and his latest bombshell interview with the BBC will likely have only further deepened the rift with the royals, according to experts

The gulf between Prince Harry and King Charles is as wide as it has ever been. Days ago, the Duke of Sussex admitted that he is no longer in contact with his father as he gave another explosive interview—a decision that critics said would only deepen his rift with the royals.

Fractures in Harry’s relationship with Charles have been increasingly evident following the Sussexes’ decision to quit royal life, and subsequently criticise the royals in interviews, their Netflix show, and in his controversial memoir Spare.

Perhaps the strongest indicator came in February 2024. Following the King’s cancer diagnosis announcement, Harry flew over to London from California, while his wife and children stayed at their Montecito home.

But despite the distance travelled, Harry’s meeting with Charles lasted just 12 minutes, according to royal author Lady Colin Campbell. She said, “My understanding is actually the meeting lasted exactly 12 minutes, not 30 minutes or 45 minutes and Harry took it upon himself, without an invitation, to get on a plane, fly over and inform the King’s office that he was arriving.

“One could actually wonder who was the visit for? Was it for Harry? Was it for the king? Or was it for Netflix or was it a combination of all three?” she told GB News at the time. “I don’t think anybody is particularly convinced that Harry has done this for any other reason but to work himself into the narrative and keep himself at the forefront of the public’s attention.”

It was also noted by commentators that Prince William did not meet with his brother during that visit – or any of his subsequent trips. Royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! that William’s stance suggests he has completely disowned his sibling.

“I think we have to give up hope that the rift between the brothers will be healed at any time in the near future, or indeed ever,” she said last year. “William’s head and heart must be bursting with all that he has on his plate right now: his wife’s cancer treatment, his father’s illness, his children growing up fast, the pressure for him to take on more royal duties, the prospect of becoming King earlier than he might ever have wanted.

“Dealing with ‘the Harry problem’ is probably just one step too far for William. I believe he has moved on with his life and has, to all intents and purposes, disowned the brother to whom he was once so close.”

In his most recent interview, Harry spoke with BBC News on May 2, shortly after a judge dismissed his legal challenge concerning his reduced security after stepping back as a working member of the royal family in 2020.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” he said. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has,” he continued, referencing King Charles . “He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”

Harry further claimed his security issues “could be resolved” through King Charles. “There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands,” he said. “Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts to do what is necessary.”

The palace has consistently denied that the King has the power to have Harry’s security reinstated. In response, one source told the Sunday Telegraph that it showed there is “nothing that can be trusted to remain private” and “as for their being no contact, well, he has just proven why, yet again”.

And another insider told ITV News: “For a son who claims to want a family reconciliation, it’s certainly a very curious way to build bridges or offer olive branches. His beloved grandmother would have been truly horrified. The King is a kind man with a warm heart and quite enough on his plate to deal with, without all this from his son.”
