Gary Lineker statement in full as BBC parts ways with star over ‘huge mistake’

Gary Lineker has stepped down from his role with the BBC early after his position was declared ‘untenable’ by BBC bosses

Gary Lineker’s contract with the BBC has been officially terminated a season early – and he will present his final show for the corporation at the weekend.

The presenter will leave the BBC after Match of the Day on Saturday, following his now-deleted Instagram post criticised as antisemitic, saying in a statement: “I recognise the error and upset that I caused, and reiterate how sorry I am.”

The 64-year-old has headed up Match Of The Day since 1999, when he took over from Des Lynam, and announced he would be stepping down from the BBC last year.

He shared and then deleting a post on his Instagram account from the group Palestine Lobby, illustrated with a picture of a rat, which prompted calls for him to be sacked from the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA).

    Gary Lineker
Gary Lineker has quit the BBC
.Tim Davie, BBC Director-General, said: “Gary has acknowledged the mistake he made. Accordingly, we have agreed he will step back from further presenting after this season.

“Gary has been a defining voice in football coverage for the BBC for over two decades. His passion and knowledge have shaped our sports journalism and earned him the respect of sports fans across the UK and beyond. We want to thank him for the contribution he has made.”

Gary Lineker said in response to the news: “Football has been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember – both on the pitch and in the studio.“I care deeply about the game, and about the work I’ve done with the BBC over many years. As I’ve said, I would never consciously repost anything antisemitic – it goes against everything I stand for.

“However, I recognise the error and upset that I caused, and reiterate how sorry I am. Stepping back now feels like the responsible course of action.”

The parting of ways also includes the licensing deal for the Goalhanger titles, The Rest Is Football and The Rest Is History, which ends this year.

Lineker was temporarily suspended from the BBC in March 2023 after an impartiality row over comments he made criticising the then-government’s new asylum policy.

He was also among 500 other high-profile figures who signed an open letter in February urging the BBC to rebroadcast a documentary, Gaza: How To Survive A War Zone, to BBC iPlayer.

Last November, Lineker announced he would be stepping down from presenting Match Of The Day at the end of the season, but would still host World Cup and FA Cup coverage.

The presenter has been the BBC’s highest-paid on-air talent for seven consecutive years and was estimated to have earned £1.35 million in the year 2023/24, according to the corporation’s annual report published in July.

When he stepped down, it was reported that he was open to staying on at Match Of The Day but was not offered a new deal for the show. The Leicester-born star will be replaced by Gabby Logan, Kelly Cates and Mark Chapman, who will share the presenting role on Match Of The Day from the next Premier League season.

They will also be amongst the front runners to fill his shoes fronting the World Cup and FA Cup coverage, although bosses have several months to organise those new contracts.

Lineker joined Match Of The Day having started as a BBC Radio Five Live presenter, also working on Grandstand during his early years in broadcasting. The former England striker is the co-founder of Goalhanger Podcasts, makers of the popular The Rest Is History series and its spin-offs about politics, football, entertainment and money.

Davina McCall reveals ‘letting go’ was toughest move after brain tumour surgery

Davina McCall has opened up after going under the knife to remove a benign tumour from her brain and admits that not having control over her life was a tough journey

Davina McCall has revealed that letting go of the control she had over her life was her toughest journey. Last year, the veteran TV presenter underwent surgery after doctors discovered a tumour on her brain. The tumour was later confirmed to be benign.

The former Big Brother presenter first discovered her colloid cyst after being offered a health check due to her ongoing work surrounding the menopause. Following the surgery, Davina was admitted to an intensive care unit but later updated fans, confirming she was “on the mend” and felt “really lucky.”

Now, Davina, 57, admits that it was the “greatest thing” that happened to her. However, speaking in a new interview with Women’s Health UK, she explained that letting go was her “toughest journey” as she was so used to being in control of her life. She told the publication: “I think letting go is probably my toughest kind of journey.

“It’s something that I struggle with so much and I think it’s because, since [I was] a little girl, controlling things or making sure everything is just so has made me feel safe…

“There have been moments where things have happened – like drugs and being with my mum sometimes – where I [felt] completely unsafe and it’s often because I had no control, like everything’s gone mad, no one’s behaving normally. I can’t tell what’s going to happen.”

Despite the terrifying ordeal, she told her partner, Michael Douglas, that if she made a recovery, her tumour would be the “greatest thing” that would happen to her.

She explained: “Because of the learnings, yes – and because of the places I’ve had to go to deal with it… I’m sort of going through a slightly mind-blowing phase of my life where I’m just asking questions about everything. I keep thinking: I’ve survived this thing, but I don’t know how that happened or why it happened.”

She spoke candidly to Women's Health UK

Davina’s admission comes just days after she made an unexpected appearance on Britain’s Got Talent. During TK Magic’s performance on Sunday’s semi-final, he correctly guessed that judge Amanda Holden would choose a number on a placard which had Davina’s name alongside it.

He later asked Amanda to FaceTime Davina during the show, leaving both the TV star and Holden gobsmacked. But as her impromptu appearance came to an end, she shared a touching message to her friend Amanda.

She said: “I just very quickly want to say thank you to Amanda Holden, who, after my operation, made the schlep all the way down the country to come to see me. I really, really appreciate you. Thank you.” The NHS states that non-cancerous brain tumours are more common in people over the age of 50.

Symptoms include headaches, seizures, changes in eyesight, feeling dizzy or sleepy, speech problems, behavioural changes and even blackouts. While surgery is commonly used to remove the tumour, other treatments include radiotherapy, which uses radiation to kill the cells, and chemotherapy.

  • Coronation Street fans ‘rumble’ devastating Lisa twist after brutal Craig attack

Coronation Street fans ‘rumble’ devastating Lisa twist after brutal Craig attack

Coronation Street fans think a heartbreaking new scene is on the way for DS Lisa Swain after a moment with Craig Tinker on Monday, before his brutal attack on the ITV soap

There could be a sad new plot on the way for Coronation Street’s Lisa Swain in the fallout to Craig Tinker’s brutal attack.

PC Tinker, played by actor Colson Smith, was violently attacked and left for dead by villain Mick Michaelis on Monday night. The police officer had tried to arrest the character only for him to launch an attack on him with a wooden bat.

As Craig saw Mick with the weapon he went to draw his police baton, but Mick slammed the bat against the officer’s head. Craig dropped to the ground and was left lifeless, as Mick drove off and left him to die.

His fate now remains unknown, with Craig set to bow out in scenes later this week. With it not known whether he lives or dies, fans are fearing he’s about to be killed off.

Whether he does die or not, some viewers are predicting a new plot for Lisa that will see the attack impact her heavily. She was seen encouraging her colleague in the latest episode, after he was called out by their colleague Kit Green.

Craig was meant to be shadowing the detective amid his bids for a promotion, but Kit, caught up in his drama with Mick, soon lashed out. He told Craig he’d never make it or get anywhere in his career, suggesting he wasn’t good enough.

Craig was hurt by this, but Lisa soon backed him and offered some advice. She told him Kit had likely been told the same when he was on placement, and might be trying to push Craig to do the best he can.

She told her colleague that the best thing to do would be to prove Kit wrong by going out there and being the best officer he can be. Lisa encouraged him to get out there and do the job, and Craig agreed with her, clearly appreciating the support as Lisa questioned what Kit had told him.

So much so that later in the episode, as Craig was out trying to solve crimes, he left his boss a voicemail. He’d tried to call her but she rejected the call, having absolutely no idea what was about to happen.

Craig told her: “It’s only me, I wanted to say I am sorry for losing it earlier. I just want you to know you’re right, I need to get out, be bolder and prove I’m a good officer. And you’re right, I will make DC one day. Thanks again.”

Craig was called out by his colleague Kit Green

With Lisa not taking the call and not listening to the message before the attack, fans now think that once she finds out what has happened to Craig she will listen to the message. Viewers believe in heartbreaking scenes the detective might blame herself for what has happened, but also feel guilty for ignoring what could be his final call.

Taking to social media one fan said: “LISA WILL FIND THE VOICEMAIL FROM CRAIG AFTER HE DIES, THEN SHE’LL FEEL GUILTY SHE DECLINED THE CALL.” Another said: “Craig’s final voicemail is gonna break Lisa & Vicky Myers is gonna break us when she portrays it on screen!”

A third fan said: “Craig’s voicemail, oh Lisa is going to blame herself isn’t she.” This was echoed by a fourth fan who wrote: “Those words are gonna haunt Lisa for a long time.”

Springwatch star Chris Packham argues with co-star leaving crew shocked

Michaela Strachan and Chris Packham have become firm friends after working together for decades. But they’re never exempt from the occasional discord, even at work.

Their friendship stands the test of time, but even great pals like Michaela Strachan and Chris Packham have their own disagreements.

As Springwatch turns 20, Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan will showcase three weeks of wildlife from the National Trust’s Longshaw Estate in the beautiful Peak District.

Celebrating two decades of peeking in nests, badger setts, otter holts and waterways, Springwatch still has tales to tell. There’s an exciting new strand called Springwatch Street, which will lift the lid on the natural neighbours of one Sheffield street, which reveals foxes, badgers, hedgehogs and a nest of swifts living undetected under residents’ noses.

There will be a lot of surprises,” says Michaela, 59. “If you watch your garden in the day, you’ll see the birds come, but what comes out at night is going to be really interesting.

And what’s going on in the undergrowth. It’s the small stuff that is always so interesting and hopefully that will inspire people to do even more in their gardens. We’ll give tips to encourage people to help particular insects or worms or caterpillars for instance.”

Michaela loves the wildlife on the show, but she also loves her co-presenter Chris, who she first started out with on The Really Wild Show in the 1990s. “Not only are we friends, and we know each other’s personal lives, but people have watched us growing up on telly,” says Michaela.

“We’re great friends,” says Chris, 64. “We know each other really well, so sometimes we may disagree about something, and the team may look at us and think, ‘Oh my goodness, the presenters have fallen out!’ But we haven’t. We don’t get upset about those things.

We don’t have to agree about everything. We just move on. So, the fact that we’re great, lifelong, trusted mates helps, but also that we work in very different ways in terms of way that we approach our job.”

Chris and Michaela have been friends for years - and they feel comfortable around each other enough to make room for the occasional discord

Michaela hopes Springwatch continues for another 20 years because she believes that connecting with nature is vital for our mental health and for our wellbeing. However, in the 13 years Michaela has been part of Springwatch, she’s noticed the impact climate change is having on our wildlife.

“I think it’s getting more and more important because climate change has changed the world we live in and there is less and less wildlife,” says Michaela.

“Over the years I’ve done the show, I’ve seen it’s much harder to find the wildlife to film, even in places that are managed for wildlife. Even in managed reserves we’re sometimes struggling.

And we need to keep people connected. That’s what it’s all about – it’s getting people connected to wildlife, making people realise how important wildlife is, and making people realise how good it is for their mental health and wellbeing. Intrinsically, we’re supposed to be connected to wildlife. By losing that, we’re losing part of ourselves as a human species.”

Chris agrees that Springwatch is important because it encourages us to take time out from our lives and focus on the world around us. “Springwatch is one of those programmes that gives you the opportunity to stop and think about the little things in life that you may not have spent enough time focusing upon,” says Chris.

“I love the things that I didn’t know sort of existed. Tree slugs for instance, I had seen slime trails up trees when I was a kid but I’d never bothered to come up with the answer.

And then someone said that these creatures live on the ground in the daytime and they go to the tops of the trees at night, and they felt like a complete revelation.”

Chris’ personal highlight from the last two decades is when Spinless Si, the stickleback fish became famous across the land. “If I had to pick one thing that really encapsulated the program’s success, it would be in Minsmere, with Spinless Si, the stickleback,” says Chris.

“Because we managed to turn a five centimetre small common fish into a national treasure that featured on the news across TV, Radio and national newspapers.”

Chris believes the key to the show’s success is involving its audience and focusing on wildlife that viewers can seek out for themselves.

He says, “We also deliberately focus upon a lot of back garden wildlife, things that people know, that they already share with their communities, whether that is foxes or hedgehogs or blackbirds or blue tits.

And then we show people the intricacies of their life, stories which otherwise they wouldn’t be able to see, because we’ve got the technology to do it.”

Viewers of Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street can expect emotional scenes and plenty of drama next week.

There’s deadly danger and tense episodes for one show, while a sad realisation comes out of concern for a fan favourite elsewhere. Viewers will also see the possible start of a new health storyline for one young character

On Coronation Street it’s Craig Tinker’s final week, and spoilers have teased he could be killed off in devastating scenes after a brutal attack. As actor Colson Smith bows out after more than a decade, Corrie is definitely one to watch.

Over on EastEnders, there’s fears for Stacey Slater’s wellbeing amid her own exit from soap land. Her loved ones fear for her when they realise she hasn’t left her bedroom in weeks.

Meanwhile on Emmerdale, fans will see one character suffer in silence as she learns she may have cancer in upsetting scenes. Here are all the biggest plots of the week across all the soaps.

    Coronation Street death twist

Things kick off when Craig Tinker is caught up in an incident that leaves him fighting for his life next week. As his life hangs in the balance, shown bloodied and beaten, he’s rushed to hospital.

His loved ones and pals pray for his recovery, and soon his former stepfather Kirk Sutherland is making an emotional phone call to Craig’s mum Beth Tinker. Beth left the show last year after being blackmailed by Kit.

But will she return to Weatherfield as her beloved son fights for his life? With Colson Smith who plays Craig leaving the role, it certainly doesn’t look good for the character – but will he pull through?

It seems Craig regains consciousness as spoilers reveal he tries to tell Lisa Swain and Asha Alahan what happened to him. Lisa is shocked by the severity of her colleague’s injuries, but things take a turn for the worse when it’s revealed he has swelling on the brain, and just as he tries to detail the incident that left him injured he deteriorates.

News about the character soon sends shockwaves across the street, and Kirk makes the call to Beth. With residents turning to each other for support, has Craig died?

Viewers will see concern grow for Stacey Slater, amid the news that actress Lacey Turner is taking a break from the BBC soap later this year. Stacey has been in a bad way ever since her ex Martin Fowler died in the Queen Vic explosion back in February, just after he asked her to remarry him.

Her daughter Lily Slater tries to cover up what’s going on despite things taking their toll, but soon Stacey’s loved ones find out. As Kat Slater heads to the house she is left worried by what she uncovers.

She tries to take control of the situation and calls a family meeting, with Kat, Alfie, Suki and Eve planning to help with childcare, as they question whether Stacey needs professional help. As Stacey continues to hide away in her bedroom, Lily breaks down.

Soon, Stacey takes her first trip out of the house in weeks, but she worries Kat with her plans for a family meal. When Stacey’s phone is misplaced and she realises it’s in the laundry bag which is now on its way to the laundrette, she panics as she explains it contains voicemails, photos and texts from Martin and they’ll be lost forever if the phone is damaged.

She rushes off to find it before it’s too late, and in her absence her son Arthur shocks Alfie with a secret. Meanwhile as Stacey reaches the laundrette her behaviour concerns Kat and Lily who fear she’s experiencing a bipolar episode. Soon, an incident between Stacey and Lily leaves their relationship at breaking point.

There’s cancer fears for Sarah Sugden as she pushes forward with her plans to have a child through IVF next week. As she undergoes an examination at the fertility clinic, the doctor advises that she has found some inflammation while examining her cervix.

Sarah fears the worst but doesn’t tell anyone, unable to open up to her loved ones. Later on, Sarah slips away to her hospital appointment alone where she’s forced to face her potential cancer diagnosis, but what will her biopsy results reveal?

Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw recently told The Mirror that amid Sarah’s desperation to have a child, a new storyline would start for her that would run on for the next year or so. She spilled: “We have seen Sarah deciding she wants to have a baby. That’s going to be a big story over the next 12 months or so. It is going to have lots of twists and turns, and is gonna cause some big ruptures in the whole family.”

King Charles and Queen Camilla have revealed they sent David Beckham a rather lavish gift for his recent 50th birthday after their two sons found ‘common ground’

David Beckham thanked King Charles and Queen Camilla for their rather surprising birthday present. The former Manchester United legend celebrated his 50th birthday earlier this month amidst an ongoing family feud. While David’s famous family pulled together for the occasion, his eldest son, Brooklyn, failed to attend any of the three celebrations.

It was recently claimed that Brooklyn, 26, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30, met with Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, at their home in Montecito, California, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex offering their support to the Peltz-Beckhams following the family fall-out. But while the Beckham’s and the royals have had a long-standing friendship, it appears that the King and Queen are showing their support to David.

The 50-year-old attended the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday alongside the likes of Alan Titchmarsh. While attending the regal event, Beckham was seen sporting a rose as a buttonhole, and it has since emerged that the flower has a very royal connection.

The King, 76, was heard asking David if he had received the recent gift for his birthday after they met on an official line-up. “You got it, didn’t you?” the Monarch asked. David responded: “It was incredible, thank you. It was very kind.”

Just moments later, Queen Camilla met Beckham and commented: “Nice to see you again, glad you got the roses.” The footballer told Her Majesty that he had a “perfect” but “busy weekend,” adding it was “a lot of fun.” Beckham’s rose, a King’s Rose was named in honour of the King who has never shied away from discussing his love for horticulture.

The meeting comes after the King’s second son, Prince Harry, offered David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son his “unwavering support” following the Beckham feud. It’s reported Nicola and former Suits actress Meghan found “common ground” over allegations of their apparently similar story of allegedly helping to split famous families.

A source told Mail Online: “Brooklyn knows how hurt David and Victoria were when Harry and Meghan accused them of briefing stories about them. David, who is very mild-mannered, was absolutely furious.”

They added: “Brooklyn was very much around and spending a lot of time with his parents when this all happened. It was over five years ago but the upset and dislike is still very much there.

“Victoria was especially good to Meghan in the beginning, and it all got thrown back in her face.” David and Victoria are believed to have fallen out with Meghan and Harry in the past, despite once appearing close with the footballer and former Spice Girl even attending their wedding seven years ago.

It comes after Brooklyn and his wife Nicola allegedly spent time with Harry and Meghan at their home in Montecito

The Sun, however, claims that Peltz-Beckham and Sussex’s dinner had been arranged prior to Brooklyn’s fall-out with his family. A source told the outlet that it was an “unexpected invite” for Brooklyn and Nicola, who were described as feeling “pretty battle-wounded,” but was “gratefully received”. The source said that Prince Harry and Meghan were “very kind” and “empathetic” to their guests.

The source added: “Harry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar.” They added: “Nicola and Meghan also had a bit of a ‘deep [and] meaningful’ [chat] as obviously both women have been positioned in the media as home-wreckers – the women to tear apart their husbands’ families.”

Peter Andre shows true colours over Alison Hammond’s 13-stone weight loss

Peter Andre has shared his thoughts on his friend Alison Hammond’s staggering 13-stone weight loss, after she decided to take control of her health following a pre-diabetic diagnosis

Peter Andre has given his take on Alison Hammond’s incredible 13-stone weight loss, after admitting himself to using weight loss jabs in the past. Alison, who once tipped the scales at 28 stone, has shed the pounds the hard way after deciding it was time to make a change following a pre-diabetic diagnosis and losing her mother Maria to type 2 diabetes in 2020.

Speaking in his column, Peter said: “ Alison Hammond is looking amazing and she’s spoken about not using weight-loss jabs. She obviously feels fantastic and I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business when it comes to the injections – we shouldn’t force people into discussing it.”

“I don’t know why we think everyone must say what they did or didn’t do. Alison is a good friend who has put the work in and done it the hard way, which is impressive. But I’d never judge anyone for taking the injections – it’s none of my business.”

    Peter Andre
Peter Andre has opened up about pal Alison’s weightloss

Back in 2019, Peter sparked a flurry of comments after sharing a video to Instagram that his followers said made him look like he was ‘wasting away.’ “He is getting thinner in the face worrying signs that there could be something wrong with the body?” one fan said.

Peter immediately piped up to put an end to the worry and explained the real reason behind his trimmer appearance. “I run,” he explained, adding: “Feeling better than ever.”

Taking her health into her own hands, Alison also embarked on a fitness journey with a personal trainer and adopted a more watchful approach to her diet. Speaking to Heat Magazine, Alison said: “I feel amazing. I feel happy within myself. I’ve got a personal trainer – she’s amazing. She trains me when I can train. If I’m working, I don’t train, I’ll go for a walk.” Do you think celebs should own-up if using weight-loss jabs? Take our poll below. If you can’t see it, click here

Having previously revealed that weights, pilates, and yoga are part of her home fitness regime, Alison insists she’s not about restrictive diets, reports Plymouth Live. To her, balance is key, as she said: “I don’t deny myself anything. I eat everything but in moderation.”

Speaking to Women’s Health magazine, she further explained her shift from high-fat, high-sugar foods, reflecting on her mother’s concerns and her own encounter with pre-diabetes, saying: “My mum had type 2 diabetes and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening. I thought: ‘I have to be an adult about this’. The sweets had to stop – and the fatty foods.”

After making changes to her diet and daily routine, Alison has successfully reversed her condition. She said: “I’m no longer pre-diabetic, so I’m a bit naughtier with my food now. But because my body’s working properly, I can allow myself a bit of sugar here and there.

“I love my new shape and although I still have areas I’m conscious of, such as my arms and tummy, it’s great being able to wear things I would never have been able to before. I mean, look at me, I’m a bombshell.”

Alison admitted that she was deterred from considering weight loss medication due to “scare stories”. But she said she “wouldn’t look down on anyone who did”.

Off-screen, Alison is in a relationship with 27 year old masseur David Putman. There’s been growing speculation that her weight loss journey was motivated by a desire to tie the knot with her partner.

When asked about potential wedding plans, she playfully hinted: “I’d never say no. I might marry myself!”

Victoria Beckham shared a bittersweet throwback photo of her family to mark her dad’s birthday, including her currently estranged son, Brooklyn. Amid an escalating feud between the family and 26-year-old Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, the old snap showed her brood in happier times.

The sweet photos were shared by the 51-year-old mum-of-four to mark her dad Tony’s birthday. Posting on Instagram Stories, Victoria shared a photo of herself as a teenager posing with her dad, writing: “Happy birthday,y Daddy, I love you so much!”

The second share saw her post a photo of her kids with their grandad, with Victoria adding: “The best papa in the world!” She tagged all her children, notably including Brooklyn, who has been absent from any family events for months, as rumours of a bitter rift continue to swirl.

She shared another of her family, and a fourth showing her mum, Jackie, smiling for a photo with David and Tony. The post adds to the notion that Victoria and David still want contact with their son, but there is still a question mark over the cause of Brooklyn’s disengagement with his family.

Some are starting to question whether his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, has had a part in ostracising him from his family. According to a body language expert, she has been “actively distancing” herself from the Beckhams for months.

Their final photo together was taken over Christmas, with Judi James suggesting there were already signs of some sort of tension. The sweet snap appeared to show the family enjoying the festive season together.

But speaking to the Mail, Judi explained how there could have been more at play. She told the paper: “Nicola’s smile here looks charming and her pose is a mirrored version of Victoria’s, but it has seemed as though she might have been actively distancing herself (and Brooklyn) from the Beckham clan.

“It is not an unusual step for new wives hoping to encourage a husband to stand on his own feet rather than being overly dependent on his parents. This line-up might be a reflection of that distancing,g although in the past it has been her and Brooklyn sitting apart from his parents, while here he poses apart from his wife, which could have added to any tension.”

The ongoing feud has seen the family’s eldest son miss out on family occasions, including his dad David’s 50th birthday celebrations at the start of the month. When photos emerged, it became clear that the 26-year-old had been missing from David’s big day, which saw the family plan a series of lavish dos to celebrate the former England footballer’s birthday

A star-studded bash at the family’s Cotswolds home saw reams of David’s family and friends show up to mark the occasion with him. The family then jetted off to a wine-tasting afternoon at a vineyard in the south of France, before heading to Paris for a quiet dinner on the night of his birthday in one of his favourite restaurants.

The next day, the Beckham’s put on a dinner party at Core by Clare Smyth – a restaurant in London’s Notting Hill. The Michelin starred diner then welcomed some A List guests, including Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay, with the party going on into the early hours.

Katie Price has returned to the Mucky Manion on a horse a year after being evicted following her bankruptcy hell. The glamour icon, 46, left the sprawling pile in Sussex after being declared bankrupt for a second time last year.

Katie, who has downgraded to a smaller property, and has now cleared her debts, told her followers she ‘hates’ her old house as she filmed herself outside with her riding gear. Telling her fans she goes riding past the property, while sporting a black hat white ‘Don’t Doubt Yourself’ t.shirt, and high-waisted jodhpurs, she said: “So funnily enough, I am outside the old Mucky Mansion, next door. I absolutely hate the old house.” Pointing at large field, she continued: “That was my old field. When I had to give the keys back, they gave me an ultimatum [to repair it]. They gave me two years and I didn’t want to spend all that time doing it. £500 to £800 grand I got quoted!”

After endless back and forth about her future at the property, the former glamour model confirmed she was leaving the Mucky Mansion, which featured in Katie’s Channel 4 makeover series, not long after being served eviction papers last year.

Katie purchased the house in Horsham, West Sussex, in October, 2014 for £1.35million.

The Mirror reported the OnlyFans star was sent a letter, dated April 24, 2024, stating that ‘the eviction will take place on May 29, 2024, at 10am’.

The letter also stated that the court had ‘issued a warrant or writ for the possession of the property’.

A year later and Katie is now free of her financial burdens after admitting the last six years of her life have been “hell”.

The mum-of-five was declared bankrupt for the second time last year, owing a whopping £750,000, which forced her to downgrade her home and leave the Mucky Mansion.

However, the Pricey recently revealed that she has cleared her debts as she opened up about ‘learning her lesson’ on a recent episode of The Katie Price Show.

Speaking to her sister, Sophie, she declared, proudly: “I’m not bankrupt anymore! I’m out of it, I’m out of both of them.

“The last six years have been hell – mentally and personally – everything has been hell. I’ve worked so hard to communicate and get rid of what caused all the trouble and I’m out of it.

“It’s such a nice feeling not to be bankrupt anymore. I’m in control of everything now.”

Katie is now moving forward and enjoying spending time with her Married At First Sight star boyfriend, JJ Slater.

The reality star, 32, pops in Katie’s video outside the Mucky Mansion as he tells her to enjoy her horse ride.

Responding, Katie tells her beau to enjoy his run before asking him to “show us those f*****g sexy legs” as JJ sheepishly obliges.

Vick Hope has confirmed that she and her husband Calvin Harris are preparing to welcome their first child together – two years after the couple tied the knot – and explained why she didn’t want to officially announce it

Broadcaster Vick Hope and DJ Calvin Harris are going to have a baby! After a few weeks of dropping heavy hints online – including sharing snaps from a recent baby shower – Countryfile presenter Vick has finally confirmed her pregnancy.

The pregnant star and producer Calvin often keep their relationship low-key but have let slip minor details in the past, including their Glastonbury themed wedding back in September 2023.

The mum-to-be, who co-hosts the stations drivetime show with with Katie Thistleton and Jamie Laing, told listeners: “I should say that this is my final week. I wanted to share that with you because we’ve had such a lovely time over the last few weeks. That time is coming to an end for a bit because I’m going on maternity leave next week.”

Former Made In Chelsea star Jamie piped in with: “You’re an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you’re just going to be an amazing mum.” Vick then went on to share why she hasn’t formally announced she is expecting a baby.

She explained: “This is not an announcement, by the way. People keep saying are you going to announce, are you going to announce? And I’m like, I’m not the King. I do not see the point, it’s not for me. I’ll be honest, I struggle with anything that’s personal or private.

“I will tell you a story about eating a kebab out of a bin, that’s one thing. But there’s a line and so I’ve never been that big on sharing. Particularly because I’ve just been enjoying this privately and quietly.”

Prior to the announcement, Vick kept things underwraps and cleverly concealed her blossoming baby bump at a string of engagements, including the BRIT Awards in March this year.

But later in the month, the star met with Prince William as part of his role as Duke of Cornwall during a visit to Somerset. During the engagement, Vick looked radiant as she wrapped up wearing a brown knee-length coat and a cream jumpsuit. As she happily chatted away to the heir, her bump cheekily stood out with Vick choosing to rest her hands just below it.

The star looked sensational as she wore a figure-hugging brown silk dress which featured a bold cut out across her chest, revealing parts of her midriff. Vick’s gown also featured slashes across the sides, giving onlookers a glimpse at her bump as she and Calvin happily posed for the awaiting photographers on the red carpet.

Calvin asked for Vick’s hand in marriage, just five months into their relationship during a trip to his farm in Ibiza.

The pair exchanged vows just four months later during a stunning ceremony at Hulne Priory, Alnwick. AJ Odudu, Scott Mills, and Vernon Kay attended the festival-themed wedding. The incredible day included a fireworks display and live music performances from Nile Rogers and Chic.
