Captain Tom Moore’s daughter skewered by GMB host – ‘Don’t you have any shame?’

Captain Tom Moore’s daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore was questioned on if she had shame when interviewed on Good Morning Britain today, her first live TV interview since the Charity Commission said she had mismanaged her father’s foundation

Hannah Ingram-Moore was asked if she had no shame by a frustrated Rob Rinder in her first TV interview since the Charity Commission said she had mismanaged her father’s foundation.

Hosts Rob Rinder and Kate Garraway interviewed the daughter of Captain Tom Moore on Good Morning Britain today in what was her first live TV interview since the Charity Commission’s report, where they quizzed her on what her father would have thought of all that had happened since his death.

Captain Sir Tom Moore came to the nation’s attention when he raised money for the NHS by walking laps in his garden. He raised nearly £40 million and was knighted for his incredible fundraising, but Hannah was found to have benefitted personally from his charity in her position as director of the Captain Tom Foundation alongside now former trustee Colin Ingram-Moore.

The Charity Commission found that the pair had a “pattern of behaviour” which personally benefitted them repeatedly. The commission found the family refused to donate any of the £1.47 million raised from three Captain Sir Tom books, despite their assurances that part of that total would be passed on to the charity.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today as she introduced her new book on grief, she said: “My mother died a very long slow death from dementia, which is why my father moved in with us in the first place. I think we probably buried the loss of her because my father moved in. It was truly magical. Of course, then he died in a very public way and the world was grieving for him and not just us … I realised that so many people weren’t able to discuss loss … As the headlines swirled, and we lost control of any sense of the truth, I was looking out and seeing the lie being much more interesting than the truth behind it so I had to bury my own grief.”

Hannah said her father's legacy had been forgotten

Rob Rinder then quizzed her about Captain Tom’s three books and said she had signed the contract on his behalf. “He signed that contract with Penguin Random House and I signed to say where the money was going on his behalf. He was alive and he decided. It never said anywhere that sales would go to the charity, not us. We agreed it would go to support the launch of the charity and money from the book revenue did support the charity,” she said.

Asked if she had any shame, Hannah replied: “When I look back at the last five years, we know that we own the truth and what I can’t do is sit here and persuade everyone to believe our reality.” When Kate asked what the truth was, Hannah then replied: “If you look back to that dark time of Covid, we as a family were in the same position as everybody else,” before then adding that people had forgotten about what her father had done. Kate then told her: “That has been forgotten, I think people feel, because you’ve done something to damage the legacy. Nobody forgets his spirit.”

Rob continued to quiz her over what happened, asking “What would your father make of you taking £18,000 pounds, what would he think of the £1.5million that was kept. Do you think that’s what he would have wanted?”

“He was alive when he was paid that money. Neither he – he signed the contract,” she said, before Rob insisted that she had signed the contract and he could get a copy if he needed to. When asked if she was in control at all times, she said: “No, he lived with us and we were all equal. We didn’t think of him diminished man.

“He was paid that money as an advance, him, and he decided where it went. We didn’t take it, he was paid it and not a penny was received by him and us once those books went on sale. The money was paid to him as an advance. He decided where it went … Charity money didn’t pay for the building or the hot tub. It was our personal money on our land…”

In a separate interview, Hannah had apologised for setting up the charity with her father’s name and described it as her “deepest regret”. She said: “It didn’t need to be set up as a charity, we could have continued that legacy without it, because what it’s done is all but completely derailed our lives. It was set up with my father’s name and that is our deepest regret.

“There is nothing dishonest about what happened. The book said it would support the launch [of the foundation] and it did. There was never a specific amount of money required. I’m sorry [the public] feel misled, I genuinely am, but there was never any intent to mislead. If there was any misleading it wasn’t our doing.”

ITV)The Mirror recently revealed that Hannah had put her house up for sale again. The Grade II-listed Old Rectory is on the market for £2million and is described as a “magnificent seven-bedroom property”. In the main hallway, a bust recreating the moment Captain Moore finished his multi-million pound fundraising walk is still on display.

Hannah and her husband Colin were told to tear down the spa complex, costing them a cool £200,000, after the family lost an appeal. Central Bedfordshire Council told them to demolish the building as the planning inspector said it was “at odds” with their home.

In 2023, Hannah admitted that £800,000 worth of profits from Captain Tom’s three books had been paid into Club Nook, her company. In a previous interview, she had claimed that her father wanted his family to keep the profits from his three books – Captain Tom’s Life Lessons, One Hundred Steps and Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day.

She had insisted that readers were never told the money would go to charity but in the prologue of the third book, an autobiography, it was seemingly suggested that Captain Moore thought his books were a way for him to raise more funds.

The extract read: “Astonishingly at my age, with the offer to write this memoir I have also been given the chance to raise even more money for the charitable foundation now established in my name.”

Captain Moore’s daughter’s GMB interview most outrageous moments – Shame to late father’s reaction

Hannah Ingram-Moore gave a lengthy interview to Good Morning Britain, where she was heavily questioned and criticised by hosts Rob Rinder and Kate Garraway about her use of the charity’s funds

Captain Tom Moore’s daughter made a series of admissions in an interview with Good Morning Britain.

Hannah Ingram-Moore was asked if she had any shame and what her father would have thought of all that has happened following his death. During an interview with hosts Kate Garraway and Robert Rinder, Hannah squirmed as she was asked about the £1.5 milliona advance from the publishers around the three books Sir Tom wrote before his death

She was also quizzed about the spa building, described as a memorial for her father – which was knocked down – as well as writing her own self-published book on loss to help others.

Here are the biggest bombshells from her interview as she attempted to explain a string of ‘errors’ and opened up about her own finances and the “cathartic” nature of writing her own book.

    Taking back control

Speaking about her new self-published book, she said: “My mother died a very long slow death from dementia, which is why my father moved in with us in the first place. I think we probably buried the loss of her because my father moved in.

“It was truly magical. She added: “Writing the book was cathartic, it was a way to put my loss down. But I didn’t want it to be all about me, it was touching those people who came to talk to me about their loss.”

    £1.5 million spend

Rob later asked Hannah about the £1.5 million advance the family received for the three books, which he said were made clear that they would “go in support of the foundation”. She was then asked how much of that money actually ended up in the foundation?

“It was going back five years ago now. The book contract was between my father and the publisher,” Hannah told him. Rob then asked if he had signed that contract or if she had signed it. “I tell you why before you answer. The publisher said you signed that contract,” h he then told her as she went to explain.

“He signed that contract with Penguin Random House and I signed to say where the money was going on his behalf. He was alive and he decided. It never said anywhere that sales would go to the charity, not us,” she said, “We agreed it would go to support the launch of the charity and money from the book revenue did support the charity … There’s no signature to say that it would go to the charity. There was never any contract with the charity ever.”

When asked how much went to the charity, she added: “I don’t think it’s helpful for anyone because every time there’s a number, it just gets banded around – tens of thousands went in.”

    £18,000 pay out

Hannah was also questioned on whether she was paid £18,000 to judge Captain Tom Foundation Connector Awards, with Rob also saying that the charity had redeemed £2,000 of that money.

“The relationship with Virgin pre-dated the charity. That relationship started way before the charity,” she explained, “He got paid, other judges got paid. The relationship continued with me, with the initial intention not to involve the charity. It was my idea to say let’s include them and let’s make sure they get some money. All that judging takes a lot of time.”

    Foundation wage

Hannah was paid £60,000 for running the foundation for nine months but insisted she didn’t “ask or demand” a specific salary. She told Rob and Kate: “I didn’t ask or demand. I was asked what I was earning, I told them what I was earning. The charity asked me. There was no demand, there was no ‘I won’t do it unless you pay me that.’ In the end, it was a negotiation and when they offered me the salary … What I was offered and accepted in the end was £85,000. My role could only ever last for nine months, I was employed for three months at a time for a maximum of nine months. So what I earned was about £60,000.”

    Feelings of shame

In a poignant moment from the chat, Rob asked Hannah if she felt any shame. She told him: “When I look back at the last five years, we know that we own the truth. What I can’t do is sit here and persuade everyone to believe our reality …” as Kate stepped in to say people feel betrayed over what she had done.

ITV“If you look back to that dark time of Covid, and we as a family were in the same position as everyone else, and we said to my father why don’t you walk up and down a lot of times, and that’s what is being forgotten,” she said, as Kate replied that no one would forget Captain Tom’s spirit but said that “people feel you’ve done something to damage the legacy”.

“There was no wilful mismanagement, no will to do anything but support the legacy. My father was there with us, we said how can we continue this legacy? … And that was when a friend said why don’t you set up a charity. We didn’t go away and set it up, other people set it up,” she insisted about the charity.

    Father’s reaction

Hannah was then asked: “What would your father make of you taking £18,000 pounds, what would he think of the £1.5million that was kept. Do you think that’s what he would have wanted?”

She doubled down on her response, saying: “He was alive when he was paid that money. Neither he – he signed the contract… No, he lived with us and we were all equal.

It was our personal money on our land.”

    Planning error

During the lengthy chat, Hannah was also quizzed on why the foundation’s name was used on the planning application for the spa block – which was dubbed a special memorial space for Captain Tom.

“We did not ever intend for it to say the foundation’s name on it. We did sign it, and we’ve always said it was an error. It should not have had the foundation on it. That building had all the memorabilia in it. It was for legacy. It’s gone. It’s a building that’s not there anymore… we’ve always said we didn’t get it all right. He was paid that money for the books,” Hannah said.

In an earlier part of the chat, she said: “The building doesn’t exist anymore. It’s taken down. What is there left to talk about. It’s history.”

Actor Warwick Davis appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show and opened up to the presenter about finding love following the death of his wife Samantha in March last year

Actor Warwick Davis has candidly opened up about finding love again following the tragic death of his wife.

Samantha died last March aged 53. The couple met when they were teenagers before tying the knot in 1991. They shared two kids together. Now, as the actor prepares to move on, he has opened up about a new special person in his life while chatting with Jonathan Ross.

The presenter quizzed Warwick on his moving BAFTAs speech, in which he mentioned a mystery person who had been helping him grieve. In Warwick’s speech at the annual awards ceremony, the 55-year-old said thanked the mystery person for helping him feel love again in his life.

The emotional Harry Potter star said in his acceptance speech: “Special mention should go to Sponge. You know who you are. Thank you for showing me that life can still have meaning and to helping me to laugh and to love again.”

When Jonathan asked about his words, Warwick told the chat show host: “When you go through your career as an actor, you sometimes become a bit reluctant to do certain jobs thinking another one will come along and be a bit better. She would always say ‘get out there and do it’.

“She was great at networking as well, always talking to producers and getting me the work in the next job. Very supportive. You need that in this business because it is difficult. You’ve got to have someone who is very supportive of you being away on occasions and working ridiculous hours.”

He added: “Acting is quite a lonely career, really. You need a solid foundation at home to support that and make it work.” Jonathan tried to press Warwick on the identity of his new interest, but he simply replied: “I can reveal, sticking with the Harry Potter theme, Sponge is indeed She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named.”

As he referred to Daisy May Cooper’s character Kerry Mucklowe, Warwick added: “Sponge very much reminds me of Kerry. Some of the things she says and her accent.”

Warwick, who lives with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita – a rare form of dwarfism – lost his wife Samantha last year. He paid tribute to her in April last year weeks after her death. He wrote: “Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs.”

He then went on to describe his late spouse as his “most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career”. “She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes,” he added

Warwick also paid an emotional tribute to his late wife Samatha as he received this year’s BAFTA Fellowship – the British Academy’s highest honour – earlier this year. During his moving acceptance speech, the Star Wars actor dedicated the award to Samantha.

As part of his speech, Warwick, 55, thanked his beloved wife for her support throughout his career and reflected on life since her passing. “Above all though, I’d like to dedicate and thank my wonderful wife Sammy, who died almost a year ago. She was always so supportive of my career – encouraged me to grab every opportunity with both hands”However, I soon noticed that her level of enthusiasm for me taking a particular role was often relative to how much she wanted that designer handbag. Since then, life has been pretty tough for me. But thanks to the support of our wonderful children, Annabelle and Harrison, I’ve been able to continue working and engaging in life.”

Loose Women star Kaye Adams issued a sincere apology after making an error during Friday’s show when the panel discussed the guilty ruling of Kyle Clifford after he raped Louise Hunt

Loose Women host Kaye Adams was forced to issue an apology after making an “error” on Friday’s (March 7) show.

During today’s episode of the ITV daytime show, the panel discussed the guilty ruling of Kyle Clifford after he raped his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, just before he killed her in July last year.

He had already admitted to shooting Louise and her sister Hannah with a crossbow, and fatally stabbing their mother, Carol, at the family home in Bushey, Hertfordshire.

The three women were the wife and daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt. Clifford is due to be sentenced for the murders and rape next Tuesday (March 11).

Following the guilty ruling, Kaye and her Loose Women co-stars Frankie Bridge, Judi Love, and Nadia Sawalha discussed the current epidemic of violence against women ahead of International Women’s Day on Saturday (March 8).

Later on in the episode, Kaye quickly issued an apology after accidentally referring to one of the victims as “Louise Clifford” rather than “Louise Hunt”.

“Now, somebody has just alerted me to the fact that I unfortunately made a slip of the tongue with Louise Hunt’s surname, and I do apologise for that very, very sincerely,” Kaye said.

“Human error on my part, and our thoughts, as I say, are with Louise, Hannah and Carol Hunt, and of course, survived by John and Amy.”

Earlier on, the panel had an open discussion on what can be done to tackle the high levels of violence against women.

“This morning we were all just so shocked, horrified, you literally feel it physically when you hear a story like this. It is beyond imagination what they all went through,” Nadia said.

“We need men, we need all the good men, that’s the only conclusion that I come to now. We need good men to help us by standing up sometimes, seriously standing up, by disallowing other men to say the most awful things about women, whether it’s in the workplace or the pub.

“Think about your daughter, think of your mother, think of your wife, think of your sister when you hear or see another man saying something that is disgusting about a woman.

Judi added: “This is a very extreme case, but it’s not an isolated case.”

Fox News Kat Timpf’s interesting pregnancy that came 10 years after tragic event – reveals shocking truth

Fox News Kat Timpf’s interesting pregnancy that came 10 years after tragic event – reveals shocking truth

Fox News personality Kat Timpf has revealed that she and her husband, Cameron Friscia, were expecting their first child.

On Fox News, Timpf shared her journey of coming to terms with the life-changing news.

She described the experience as a shocking and gradual realization, emphasizing the profound impact it has had on her and her husband.

Kat Timpf has opened up about the unexpected news of her pregnancy, revealing that she was completely shocked when she saw a positive test result on May 30.

At 35, she acknowledged the medical classification of her pregnancy as “geriatric” and admitted she had never truly expected to find herself in this situation.

I never expected to find myself in this situation,” Timpf wrote, explaining that she had mentally prepared for every other possibility. She initially assumed she wouldn’t get pregnant, especially not naturally. Even after it happened, she expected the worst, fearing she would likely miscarry due to her age.

She also shared a significant milestone from June 27, the night of the presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. On that day, she and her husband heard their baby’s heartbeat for the first time.

We heard the heartbeat for the first time, and then we heard it again,” she said, recalling the moment.

Despite this milestone, Timpf admitted that the news never brought a dramatic, overwhelming rush of excitement. “It was never this exciting emotional rush of ‘OMG, WE’RE GOING TO BE PARENTS!!!!’” she explained.

“There was also something else working against the possibility of me experiencing all-encompassing astonishment, and that was, well, I was just too damn tired,” she admitted.

She also opened up about a deeper sorrow—one that overshadowed the moment.

Timpf expressed heartache over not being able to share this life-changing experience with her mother, who passed away on November 5, 2014

I feel a sense of unity and solidarity with all the women who have gone through this. If I’m being honest, though, I also feel sadness about there being one woman in particular whom I’ll never be able to share this connection with: my mom.”

It’s felt cruel, at times disorienting, and a bit unfair to have to try and figure out how to be a mother when I can hardly remember what it’s like to have one,” she reflected.

A particularly poignant moment for Timpf is on the horizon—November 5, 2024, the tenth anniversary of her mother’s passing, will also mark her sixth month of pregnancy. “What a world I get to tell my kid about. What a decade my mom missed,” she noted.

Prince Harry told he should be ‘very worried’ as he’s ‘far from off-hook with Trump’ in new blow

It has been reported that despite US President Donald Trump saying he wouldn’t deport Prince Harry amid the row over his visa he could still support a prosecution if it’s found he lied about his drug use on the application

Prince Harry has been warned he is “far from off-the-hook” with Donald Trump despite the president previously saying he would not deport him from the US.

Just last week the US leader said he would not deport the Duke of Sussex from the US amid a row over his US visa due to his alleged drug use. Earlier this month, a judge hinted that he is open to the possibility of releasing some of the sealed documents from Harry’s US visa application. Court documents reveal that a judge has now set a date for next Thursday (February 20) for the US government to state which legal documents related to the case can be disclosed.

The long-running legal case was sparked when conservative Washington DC think tank The Heritage Foundation questioned why the Duke, who is currently at the Invictus Games in Canada, was allowed into the US in 2020 after he admitted in his book Spare taking cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms.

The think tank has argued that Harry either received special treatment from the Biden administration or had lied on his immigration forms. The punishment for lying on forms can include prison, a fine or deportation.

And according to the Mail On Sunday, Trump remains committed to taking action in the form of a trial against Harry if he is found to have lied about his drug use, with sources saying the president has “vowed transparency”.

A source explained: “President Trump has said he won’t deport Harry but there is no doubt he would support a prosecution.” They added that Harry is not “off-the-hook with Trump”, saying: “The word in Washington is he should be very worried indeed. There is no love lost between the Sussexes and President Trump.”

Just last week when Trump ruled out deporting Harry he took a brutal dig at Harry’s wife Meghan saying: “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.” Meanwhile, Harry appeared to hit back during a speech at the Invictus Games by criticising the “weak moral character in the world “.

Back in 2016, Meghan called Trump “misogynistic and divisive’ and then, in 2020 during the US election campaign between Trump and Joe Biden, the Sussexes appeared in a video urging Americans to ‘”vote against hate speech”.

While they did not specifically mention anyone by name, the remarks were interpreted as referring to Trump and therefore an endorsement of Mr Biden, with some claiming it was a breach of the Sandringham Summit agreement, which was written up when the couple quit their royal duties in 2020. Later Mr Trump spoke out saying he was “no fan” of Meghan.

The Heritage Foundation originally brought the lawsuit against the Department for Homeland Security (DHS) after a Freedom of Information Act request to see Harry’s visa application was rejected, with the think tank claiming it was of “immense public interest”.

The Heritage Foundation’s lawsuit argued that US law “generally renders such a person inadmissible for entry” to the country. The think tank also said answers on the duke’s prior drug use in his visa application should have been disclosed as they could raise questions over the US government’s integrity.

The Princess of Wales was heard telling volunteers at a community garden in Wales today that she has been growing her own plums and that she would send them her recipe for plum jam

The Princess of Wales has promised to send her recipe for plum jam to young gardeners.

Kate heard how young volunteers at a community garden in Wales were growing their own plums and turning them into jam, and promised: “I’ll send you my plum jam recipe so you can try it.” She also revealed that she is learning to forage in Norfolk, with her three children left impressed by a “huge” puffball mushroom she had found near their home. “The children thought it was fascinating,” she said.

The Prince and Princess of Wales made a joint visit to Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, near Pontypridd in South Wales, where they were given a tour of the woodland walks and homegrown produce. The garden, which was badly flooded in 2024 and has bounced back with the help of volunteers, is intended to be a welcoming place for the local community to enjoy nature.

It fits in with one of the Princess’s passion projects, encouraging people into the outdoors, with nature activities for children. The couple laughed as they were shown “Bug-inham Palace”, an insect conservation area, and joined a group round a fire to make balms out of plants.

The revelation that Kate, 43, has been making her own jam follows Meghan Markle’s foray into the preserve market, sending pots of home made jam under the name of her American Riveria Orchard brand. Meghan was forced to ditch the name after running into a catalogue of trademark issues, choosing to rename the venture ‘As Ever’. Meghan has been marketing the new brand on her personal Instagram account which has so far amassed two million followers.

The garden overlooks the River Taff and the A470, with volunteers describing it as a haven in an otherwise urban community. The Prince and Princess, who had changed into a brown jacket, long skirt, and high-heeled boots, both wore daffodils, celebrating their first joint away-day in Wales since the Princess’s cancer treatment. They were greeted in tha garden by Helen Williams, community development manager, and Dawn Parker, a volunteer.

Helen admired the daffodils, and Prince William joked of his wife: “Her one is bigger than my one.” They were given a history of the garden by Kaci Pucknell, a volunteer, and a short walking tour taking in raised beds, polytunnels, and natural landscaping. Introduced to a group of young volunteers, the Princess asked: “What sort of things to do you get involved in?”

One young woman told her that they were growing plums on a tree, pointing it out behind them, with the Princess exclaiming: “I just saw it!”

Prince William asked about the flooding during Storm Bert last year, which covered the garden and left furniture floating away, and whether there are many similiar outdoor projects in the area. “Do you like getting outdoors?” he added. “It’s so good isn’t it.”

“Do you think there is enough access to nature,” the Princess asked.

“We were just hearing that this isn’t just about nature it’s also about wellbeing. Do you feel that?” The Prince asked whether they were “bringing their friends down”, adding: “You have a few hands on deck now!” Before moving to the next area, the Princess remarked on the changing seasons with talk turning to plum jam-making once again.

William said it was “amazing” and Kate offered to send her recipe, leaving young volunteers delighted. The couple were then introduced to adult volunteers, including Vanessa Matthews who made Prince William laugh by telling him she had seen him as a young boy – on the television.

“This morning I’ve had a number of people say they met me [when he was very young] and I had to say I’m sorry, I don’t remember!” he replied.

PA)Martin Phillips, who has done dry stone walling on the site, joked that he would build the Prince and Princess a castle for next time they visited, with William joking that he hoped it would be on higher ground. The garden had flooded again last week. The couple paused to sit in an ornate wooded sculpture with seating inside, which Kate declared “so creative”.

They then joined a group around a fire, with potato and leeks boiling in a pot over it. The Princess spoke to Jody James, from charity Coedlleol (which translates as “small woods”), about foraging. “We both love the smell of a fire,” said William, as Kate put her hand on his back. As thick smoke wafted over them, the Princess joked: “Until you’re in it.”

The couple were shown the plants used to make balm including plantain, smelling them and asking where they come from. The Princess told Jody that she had been foraging in Norfolk, recently finding a mound of puffball mushrooms, which can be edible and are known for their meaty texture. “She said she was interested in that kind of sustainability,” said Jody afterwards. “She’s been doing her own foraging in Norfolk.”

The Waleses, who travelled by train, finished the engagement just a few minutes late, with encouragement from their security team. “I’m sorry, we’ve got to catch a train,” William told volunteers as they left. “They’re getting a bit panicky!”

Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland was established in January 2021, when work began to clear a site that was overgrown and full of debris from flooding. Together with Pontypridd Town Council, volunteers rejuvenated the site where it is now used for activities including gardening, woodwork and weaving. After floods in December left it completely underwater, members of the community restored the garden from near-devastation.

  • Meghan Markle’s ‘power move’ with ‘nervous’ Harry uncovered by body language expert

Meghan Markle’s ‘power move’ with ‘nervous’ Harry uncovered by body language expert

With Love, Meghan has received some scathing reviews since its release – and one hot topic of discussion is Prince Harry’s very fleeting appearance in the series

Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle show With Love, Meghan has dropped on Netflix – and it’s sparking huge conversations online.

While some fans are lapping up a glossy glimpse into the life of Meghan, other viewers are ‘struggling to

One source of ire seems to be Prince Harry’s very fleeting cameo. Fans wanting to catch a glimpse of the Duke have to wait until the last 10 minutes of the final episode, when he finally appears at a garden brunch Meghan throws for her family, including mum Doria, and friends.

But there is a reason for Harry’s brief presence – and it’s all to do with Meghan’s future plans, according to a body language expert Darren Stanton. Speaking on behalf of JeffBet, Darren said: “This show is basically her way of really having her own identity back, it’s always been Meghan and Harry, where he’s had his own projects and she’s supported him. It’s her way of carving back her own identity, having Harry in there just for the odd cameo gives it gravitas while showing he is still supporting her

“Principally, this is her attempt to separate from the brand and have her own space,” he continued. “This is really empowering Meghan, this comes out in a non-verbal point of view, we see her appearing very happy and genuine, she’s grounded and humble, she’s visibly excited to be doing this project.”

Darren also spoke about Meghan’s telling body language. “I think the reason she doesn’t do a direct piece of camera when Harry is around is as if you as a viewer are a guest, that’s the way it’s been shot, to make people feel part of the proceedings. Just from some of the gestures, it is clear she is absolutely the one taking the lead when he makes his appearances.

“Meghan has always used lots of power gestures, such as putting the flat of her hand on his back. There are certain gestures like that she generally uses, but even from the way she is interacting with him, you can see she is the dominant personality. There’s a couple of nervous smiles from Harry, where he’s laughing and it seems a bit forced. He is obviously trying to support her here and is letting himself sit back to do so.

“They’re quite happy to show PDA on the show, there’s not a massive amount of them together, but Meghan is hugging Harry, and he is more the dominant person in that moment, when she nuzzles her head into him. Harry is smiling and the pair are very tactile, clearly very much in love and Harry is showing his clear support of his wife’s project.”

In the final episode of the series, Meghan introduces Harry to the camera at the brunch party – and he awkwardly waves. After they kiss and hug and look at the spread of food Meghan has made, the prince tells her: “Well done. You did a great job.” “Thank you,” Meghan replies, before Harry adds: “I love it.”

In what has been be seen as a nod to the restrictions she felt within the royal family, Meghan then raises a toast, saying: “This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I get to share and I’ve been able to learn from all of you. So I just thank you for all the love and support.

“And here we go, there’s a business. All of that is just part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much, so thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me.”

With Love, Meghan is being viewed as a make-or-break moment for the Sussexes, who signed a multimillion-pound deal with Netflix in 2020, with their most successful output being their controversial Harry & Meghan documentary, which features accusations against the royal family
