Prince Harry breaks cover without Meghan after release of panned Netflix show

Prince Harry was spotted attending a charity concert to help raise funds for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires – days after the release of wife Meghan Markle’s Netflix series

A beaming Prince Harry has been spotted on a solo outing without Meghan Markle – days after the release of her panned Netflix series.

The Duke of Sussex was seen attending a charity concert in Santa Barbara, close to where he lives in Montecito, to help raise funds for the first responders who tackled the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The show, called One805 Rock for Responders! Benefit, took place at The Granada Theatre. Before the show, Harry could be seen mingling with guests and posed with first responders who had tamed the blazes, which saw countless people lose their homes across LA and southern California

Earlier this year, while the fires raged, both Harry and Meghan were seen visiting a food distribution centre in Pasadena, where they met victims of the fires as well as volunteers helping out at the hub. However, the visit became shrouded in controversy when actress Justine Bateman slammed the couple for a “repulsive photo op” in a scathing statement on X. She added: “They are “touring the damage”? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists.”

But a source later told Page Six that Harry and Meghan feel the actress’s comments were ‘offensive’ They explained: “It’s offensive to Meghan and Harry that anybody would think this is merely a photo opportunity.” Since then, Harry has met firefighters who tackled the fires, while Meghan has donated to a charity helping young female victims of the fires

Harry’s appearance comes just days after Meghan’s show was released on Netflix, with the prince making a fleeting appearance in the final episode. The lifestyle show, which shows Meghan offer cooking and hosting tips, has been savaged by the critics.

However, it was revealed last week that the show will be returning later this year for a second series. Filming has already begun with Meghan writing on Instagram: “If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2! Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”

On Saturday, Meghan marked International Women’s Day on Instagram by sharing a photo of Harry cuddling their three-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet.

Meghan also included a loved-up photograph of herself and Harry sharing an embrace while going for a stroll on the beach on a family holiday.

The Duchess wrote alongside the snaps: “Happy International Women’s Day. Celebrating the strong women around us & the girls with dreams who will become women with vision. Also thanking those who uplift us every day.”

  • EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley gives one-word Sabrina Carpenter review as she slams husband

EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley gives one-word Sabrina Carpenter review as she slams husband

EastEnders actress Lorraine Stanley had just one-word to say about pop star Sabrina Carpenter as she hit out at her husband for taking their eight-year-old daughter to her show

Lorraine Stanley issued one-word about pop star Sabrina Carpenter as she slammed her husband for attending her raunchy show.

The EastEnders actress branded herself a “bad mum” for letting her daughter attend Sabrina’s show in London over the weekend. She admitted her husband Mark was more than happy to take their eight-year-old daughter to the concert, before she realised what it entailed. Lorraine, who plays Karen Taylor on the soap, was sent a very saucy clip of the performance at Wembley Arena

Just last month, Sabrina found herself in hot water as she opened the BRIT Awards with a racy performance in red lingerie. Her innuendo filled performance of hits Espresso and Bed Chem ended with her bending down in front of a dancer dressed as a guardsman, who have a knowing wink. It racked up hundreds of Ofcom complaints, making it the most complained about BRITs in the past five years.

Sabrina has headed on her headline UK tour since and rocked up to London this weekend. She wore a red babydoll dress with matching stockings and suspenders as she performed on the huge stage. The former Disney star straddled a giant circle bed in the footage sent to Lorraine, who had one-word to say about Sabrina.

She fumed: “Just got sent this video…. Nancy is watching that!!! I didn’t realise she was that S***ty. No wonder Mark was keen to take her. Oh God! #toomuch #badmum.” Last week, it was revealed 825 viewers complained following Sabrina’s performance at the BRITs, which aired before the 9pm watershed.

Ofcom confirmed the majority of the complaints related to Sabrina Carpenter’s opening dance routine, and Charlie XCX’s outfit. Amid the criticism, Sabrina shared her thoughts on whether it was an appropriate routine for family viewing. She posted a series of photos from the night, including backstage pics and her posing on the BRITs red carpet. Alongside the post, Sabrina cheekily wrote: “Brits i now know what watershed is!!!!”

Viewers rushed to social media to share their reaction at the time as one wrote: “RIP to the 9pm watershed,” whilst a second added: “Well this is just an awkward watch sat with the parents.” A third shared: “I love sabrina so much cos I can see the British public reporting this to ofcom immediately,” with a fourth adding: “Bit inappropriate for an awards show….

Sabrina kicks off her Short N’ Sweet Tour with a tongue-in-cheek routine where she unwraps herself from a towel on stage to reveal her sexy bejewelled lingerie underneath. After the towel trick, her performance becomes raunchier with suggestive sex positions and dance routines that her fans seem to love.

She doesn’t shy away from sexual references during her song Juno which is about the excitement of a passionate relationship. During her past shows, she’s demonstrated Reverse Cowgirl, Standing Doggy, The Ballet Dancer and an iconic ‘Juno’ position where she uses her microphone to simulate a strap-on while on her knees. Sabrina has previously defended her sexy stage persona, telling The Sun: “My message has always been clear — if you can’t handle a girl who is confident in her own sexuality, then don’t come to my shows.”

Katie Price’s ear baffles fans as they ask ‘what happened? in Harvey post

Katie Price’s followers fear another Photoshop fail after she uploaded a cute photo with son Harvey – and one fan asked if he had drawn her eyebrows on for her!

Fans were all left saying the same thing after Katie Price’s latest upload had more than a hint of Photoshop about it.

The mum-of-five, 46, snapped a sweet picture with son Harvey as she gave him a great big cuddle, but something didn’t escape the attention of her followers. Katie’s ear looked super-stretched, and there wasn’t an ear-lobe in sight – and it wasn’t the only thing they pointed out

It left plenty of people baffled as one demanded: “What’s happened to her ear”? Another person teased: “Is no one going to point out that this is clearly AI?” But it wasn’t just the side of her face grabbing focus. Someone else poked fun, writing: “Presumably Harvey drew those eyebrows on!”

It’s a tough time for the lad after they were all left devastated when son Harvey had unfortunately been ‘kicked out’ of his residential care home. Harvey, 22, lives with Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, septo-optic dysplasia, and a number of learning difficulties. Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that causes constant hunger and can lead to obesity and diabetes.

Harvey had been asked to leave his residential home for being ‘too difficult’ according to Katie. The frustrated mum opened up on the unfortunate series of events on her weekly podcast, The Katie Price Show as she admitted that she felt hugely ‘let down’ by the council after they informed her that she would have to find new living arrangements for Harvey.

She said: “Harvey is supposed to be moving in four-and-a-half weeks, they’ve changed management and said they won’t be able to cater for Harv, because he’s too difficult. So now I’ve got to find another placement for him… so yeah, more drama to deal with.”

Later in the podcast episode, she added: “We worked months and months for that and he was told four-and-a-half weeks before that he couldn’t go there, and Harvey has been doing the countdown. Well it’s stressful because you want the right thing for your child and it is a lot of time and effort to go back and do more meetings, more forms, it is very time-consuming because you want the best for your child

Last week, she took to her Instagram stories to issue an update by showing a video of Harvey on a pink revolving chair as she shouts: “You look being home,” as Harvey responds, “yes mum!” Katie continued: “You love it,” as Harvey rocked his head shouting “of course!” The following snaps showed Harvey getting a trim at the Barber as Katie showed him relaxing in the chair.

It comes after Katie emotionally revealed her concerns about her son’s weight thanks to his rare genetic condition last week. Katie said she is going to put Harvey, who weighs 28 stone, on weight-loss injections in a last-ditch attempt to save her son who is ‘always hungry’. She fears her eldest son may die if he doesn’t receive any help with his spiralling weight.

  • Prince Harry branded ‘a spare part’ as appearance in Meghan Markle’s show sparks concerns

Prince Harry branded ‘a spare part’ as appearance in Meghan Markle’s show sparks concerns

A commentator expressed concerns over Prince Harry’s persona following his brief appearances in wife Meghan Markle’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan

Shane Watson, a columnist for The Times, has voiced concerns about Prince Harry as she observed his brief appearances in wife Meghan Markle’s Netflix programme With Love, Meghan.

Shane describes Harry, 40, as looking “diminished” and appearing “like a spare part” in her new lifestyle venture.

Delving further into their dynamics, she said: “The second series of With Love, Meghan has just been confirmed and, like it or hate it, there is no denying that Meghan’s whole life has been working towards this point.

“Harry is already looking like a spare part in her new incarnation as a lifestyle icon.”

While commenting on his fleeting visibility, she added: “Blink and you’ll miss him. Not only that, he’s wedged at the back of the crowd of well-wishers at her signing off party. He seems diminished, unsure of what’s expected of him.”

Despite the focus being on Meghan in the Netflix series, it’s important to note that Harry hasn’t been taking a back seat in other spheres; he continues his work supporting survivors of the tragic LA wildfires that occurred earlier in the year.

Prince Harry has been spotted chatting with emergency workers who fought the recent blazes in Santa Barbara, California, as reported by The Sun.

Moreover, he received accolades for his contributions at the Invictus Games closing ceremony, which also set the stage for Birmingham to take over the event in 2027.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lauded Harry’s efforts, saying: “To the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, without whom these Invictus Games would never have happened. You are the one who turned this incredible idea into a reality.

“As someone you roped in early in my time as Prime Minister, I can testify to the energy, the dedication, the commitment this man has to you and to this ideal

Despite facing regular criticism, Harry and Meghan have found support for their actions during the LA wildfires.

Jose Andres, founder of World Central Kitchen, highlighted their positive impact. According to GB News, he said: “I know they are in the spotlight – not in America, but in Britain – and what I can tell you from what I know is that they don’t have to, but they decide to do it.

“You feel like it’s better that nobody does anything because nobody criticises you for showing up, but the amazing thing is that they show up.”

Dancing On Ice staff ‘told show won’t be returning’ as ITV contest faces axe

Dancing on Ice aired its 2025 final last night with Coronation Street’s Sam Aston taking home the win, however staff members have reportedly been told that the ‘show is over’

Dancing on Ice staff have reportedly been told that the ITV show is being cancelled after last night’s final amid suffering ratings.

Last night’s final saw Coronation Street star Sam Aston lift the 2025 trophy, however the series has been plagued with rumours that the ITV competition is facing the axe over the past few weeks.

One source told The Mirror earlier this month: “There are very real fears this is the end of the road for Dancing on Ice. It’s had a good run for nearly 20 years and has a very loyal set of viewers who really love it but the sad truth is there’s just not enough of them. We need bums on seats but the ratings have dropped to a point where it’s difficult to justify the cost.”

Now, Dancing on Ice’s future is reportedly set to be discussed following last night’s final with staff being told that the long-running show is no more.

“The staffers on Dancing On Ice are saying the show is over and claim they’ve been told as much,” a source told The Sun. “It’s a mainstay of ITV’s schedule and viewing figures are remarkably less than they were but they still had almost three million watch the launch show.”

They added that the format has become “tired” and that Dancing on Ice will most likely be “rested and given a new lease of life”. Meanwhile, they claim that executives will be going into meetings about the show’s future after last night’s final, with questions over “whether ITV is getting bang for its buck” due to high production costs.

“Staff working on it aren’t holding out much hope,” they added.

An ITV spokesperson told The Mirror: “The Dancing On Ice team has been fully concentrating on the much anticipated series finale last night and therefore no decision has been made.

During last night’s final, fans took to social media with claims that they had spotted the “final nail in the coffin” that could mark the end of Dancing on Ice. Some weren’t happy with Sam Aston’s win, adding that it should have been Michaela who took home the trophy.

“I don’t avidly watch #DancingOnIce but even i know that Michaela and Mark should have won, for many reasons,” a viewer wrote. “I fear this win might be the nail in the coffin for the show.”

Two key royals missing from Commonwealth Day service as Kate Middleton returns

The Royal Family, including King Charles and the Princess of Wales, gathered together for one of the biggest events in the royal calendar – the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey

The Royal Family gathered for one of the biggest events of the royal calendar – but two key members were missing.

Today, King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. The annual service is a celebration of the 56 nations that make up the Commonwealth with fellow working royals Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester also at the ceremony

However, two members of the family, who are known to be among the most hard-working were missing from the ceremony today – the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward and Sophie.

The couple have attended the service together in previous years but neither were down to attend the service today. For Sophie, this seems to be down to the fact that, according to the Court Circular, she has headed abroad to the United States for a trip.

It is believed she will be carrying out engagements in New York this week, which are yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Edward is celebrating his 61st birthday today. It is unclear how he is spending the day, but according to the royal diary, he will be back out on duties tomorrow, visiting the Royal Air Force Station Waddington.

It comes as both the King and Kate returned to the service this year after both missing out last year due to their cancer diagnoses. The King, who is head of the Commonwealth, gives an annual address each year to the family of 56 nations, but last year pre-recorded a video message after postponing his public-facing duties for around three months after being diagnosed with cancer.

The Princess of Wales also missed the service last year, a key event in the royal calendar, after also being diagnosed with cancer but will be among the congregation alongside the King, Queen and Prince of Wales. Kate is still making a gradual return to public duties after confirming she is in remission.

In his Commonwealth Day message this year, the King said restoring the “disrupted harmony of our entire planet” is the most ‘important’ task facing humanity. Ahead of commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the King also remembered the “sacrifice and selflessness” of Commonwealth forces who answered the call to fight with Britain and her allies. This year’s Commonwealth Day theme is Together We Thrive, which celebrates the “enduring spirit of the Commonwealth family”.

After the ceremony, the King will also launch the inaugural King’s Baton Relay at Buckingham Palace, officially starting the countdown to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Charles and Camilla will also be guests of the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Baroness Scotland, at the annual Commonwealth Day reception on Monday evening and hear a commemorative song by Andrew Lloyd Webber to mark the inaugural Commonwealth Peace Prize.

Commonwealth Day on Monday is also being marked by the release of a playlist Charles has compiled following a collaboration with Apple Music for his King’s Music Room show. Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones and contemporary artists Davido and Raye are among those who make it into Charles’s top tracks from across the Commonwealth.

Danny Jones’ wife Georgia swerves podcast and replaced after ‘humiliating’ Maura kiss

Georgia Horsley has remained silent online since her husband Danny Jones was caught kissing former Love Island star Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards earlier this month

Georgia Horsley does not feature on the latest instalment of her podcast series amid the fallout from her husband Danny Jones’ scandal.

The former Miss England, 38, has remained silent online since her spouse was caught kissing former Love Island star Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards at the start of this month. The mum-of-one pulled out of work commitments over the weekend and is yet to comment on Danny’s extra-martial snog.

Georgia had been due to participate in a Q&A with Kelsey Parker, the co-host of the podcast Mum’s the Word, at The Baby Show in London over the weekend but was nowhere to be seen , with insiders claiming Georgia was not ready to speak in front of a large audience and the media.

Now, it appears Georgia could be having a break from her podcasting duties. The latest episode of Mum’s The Word! With Georgia Jones & Kelsey Parker was released in the early hours of Monday morning but does not feature Georgia this week. Titled OLIVIA BOWEN: Navigating the Loss of a Twin Mid-Pregnancy, the episode features Kelsey chatting with the former Love Island star about her pregnancy and recent heartbreaking loss.

“Welcome back to Mum’s The Word. I’m your host Kelsey Parker and today I am joined by the amazing Olivia Bowen,” Kelsey tells listeners as she opens this week’s show. The widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker does not mention Georgia’s absence.

The episode synopsis reads: In this deeply personal episode of Mum’s The Word, Kelsey Parker is joined by the courageous Olivia Bowen in her first podcast interview since revealing the heartbreaking loss of one of her twins mid-pregnancy. Olivia opens up about discovering the devastating news, how she and Alex coped with the sudden reality, and why she felt compelled to share her story publicly.”

Georgia appeared on the last instalment of the podcast on March 3 – released just hours before it emerged her husband Danny had kissed Maura. Danny is under pressure to “speak out” amid the intensifying controversy as his former campmate Maura flees the country.

I’m A Celebrity stars Danny, 38, and Maura, 34, have both steered clear of addressing reports from earlier this month about a “drunken kiss” at a BRIT Awards afterparty in London. Fresh footage emerged last weekend showing them kissing, and another clip released this week seems to capture them deep in conversation at another gathering.

Insiders have revealed to the Mirror that Danny and his wife Georgia, also 38, are engaged in crisis talks trying to salvage their marriage. The couple, who tied the knot back in 2014 and have a seven year old son named Cooper, are reportedly navigating complex discussions in the aftermath of the first video.

Now, with the surfacing of a second video, a source reckons it’s high time for Danny to break his silence and address the swirling rumours head-on. They shared with us: “Everyone would understand why Danny and his wife have been quiet. They are likely working through various discussions from the first video that was released alone. With this second video, Danny needs to now speak out

The source continued: “Maura is getting a lot of the backlash, and Danny seems to be getting away with his actions as a husband who was supposed to have been in love with his wife for over a decade. Danny’s career should be halted at this point and he should be big enough to now speak out to everyone and explain what has happened and take some accountability.”

They went on to add: “This is unfair on his wife, who seems to have put the family and their marriage first. Who knows if another video will emerge, but being honest is now the only way that this has a chance of resolving itself

Grief-stricken Patrick Kielty carries mother’s coffin as Cat Deeley’s absence explained

Patrick Kielty was visibly upset as he carried his mother’s coffin during a ceremony that took place at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Dundrum, Northern Ireland, on Monday

Heartbroken Patrick Kielty bid his mother a final farewell in Northern Ireland on Monday – carrying her coffin to her funeral.

The 54-year-old presenter was downcast as he prepared to say goodbye to his mother, Mary Kielty, who passed away at her home in Co Down on Saturday. Hundreds turned out to line the streets as those close to Mary and her family came together for a ceremony at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Dundrum

Patrick wore a grey suit and joined other pallbearers as he carried his mother’s coffin into the church. Mary was reportedly in her 80s at the time of her death – and a notice about her passing described her as a “loving mother” and “devoted grandmother”.

The notice added that she “will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her entire family circle, neighbours and friends”. Mary was the proud mother of Patrick along with his brothers John and Cahal.

Patrick has been married to This Morning host Cat Deeley since 2012 and they have two children together; sons Milo, nine, and James, six. Cat remained at home to care for their young sons as the family processed their grief. A spokesperson told The Mirror: “Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.”

The Sun reports that the funeral took place at 1pm on Monday and that mourners were also reminded of the tragic passing of Mary’s husband, Jack, who died aged 44 during the Troubles. The publication quotes the parish priest Robert Fleck referring to Mary as enduring a “difficult life”.

He is quoted stating: “It left its impact not only on the close family and friends, but also on the wider community. On the occasion of her funeral, we recommit ourselves to working for peace and reconciliation in the divided community that is the north of Ireland.”

He added: “Mary had a good sense of humour, her family have thrived on this gift. Recently, Pope Francis met a number of world comedians, including Mary’s stand-up comic son Patrick. He spoke, the Pope did, of the gift that was theirs, and of how it also pointed to the joy of resurrection

Cat has been hosting This Morning since the latter half of last year following the departures of both Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. In an interview last year, Cat said she would not hesitate to quit working on the long-running daytime TV show if it began to have an impact on her health.

Speaking to Grazia magazine last October, she said: “I don’t feel particularly vulnerable [taking over from Holly and Phil]. And I’d always think about my own mental health. If something was affecting me, or I hated going into work, I’d walk away. It’s more important that I enjoy what I do.”

The presenter was also quizzed on ‘toxic workplace’ allegations that had been attached to the This Morning set, with former stars Dr Ranj and Eammon Holmes previously hitting out at the ITV show. She said: “Well, obviously Ben [Shephard] and I had heard all of those stories. I can only speak as I find it, and I have no idea what happened before we were there, but I haven’t seen one scrap of it

Dancing On Ice’s Sam Aston left stunned as he’s crowned winner amid show facing axe

Dancing On Ice has crowned the winner of this series with Sam Aston taking the top spot beating off Michaela Strachan and footballer Anton Ferdinand

Dancing On Ice’s Sam Aston and Molly Lanaghan have won the ITV series.

Sam, 31, best known as Chesney Brown on ITV’s Coronation Street was partnered with Molly on the ITV series and beat bookmakers favourite Michaela Strachan.

He triumphed in the final over the Spring Watch presenter who was runner up and former footballer Anton Ferdinand who came third. All three of the finalists got the show off to a perfect start, with the judges giving all of the 40 out of 40 for their show dances. After a second performance of the famous Bolero, made famous by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, actor Sam then skated to victory with the public vote.

Sam said: “I’ve got no words, I’m shocked,” and hugged his skating partner and became tearful after being handed the trophy. Dean, 66, said he was “really proud” of Aston after he and Lanaghan impressed the judges following their showcase routine to The Pink Panther Theme.

“I mean tonight, everything came together. Your skating skills are always on show, but you had to have timing and acting… I’m really proud of you”, Dean said. Just before he was announced as the winner he had said: “I have surprised myself a bit on here. It has been a whirlwind but a really lovely journey to be on.

Sam Aston revealed he was lost for words
Sam Aston revealed he was lost for words“What I’ll take away from the show the most is it is good to challenge yourself in life. If you put your heart and soul into it, anything is possible.” Praising his partner Molly he said: “We have had a laugh from start to finish.” Runner up Michaela, 58, said: “I feel a winner to have got this far.

“It has been such a bubble of skating joy. I hope I have inspired people of a certain age to try something new.” Sam battled through the pain to win the final as he has been having physio after dislocating his shoulder earlier in the competition.

He said: “I’ve really enjoyed the journey. It’s mad cos it’s, you know, it’s just a roller coaster, but I’ve absolutely loved it and you know, I think it’s, it’s really nice to just push yourself out of your comfort zone, you know, challenge yourself

He had also vowed last week to throw himself into the final. Last week he said: “I always want to learn new stuff, 100%. Actually I say that to my partner regularly. I’m like, ‘right, what can we do next?’ The main thing is you have to get the choreography as tight as possible before you can start concentrating on new things or big lifts.

“But I feel quite fearless about learning new things, the more the merrier for me. Dan, who helps us with our choreography, always says ‘aim for the stars’, so that’s what we do!”

Following Sam’s win, his co-stars have taken to social media to share their joy. Tony Maudsley penned: “He only went and won it!! Massive congratulations to our boy Sam! The Corrie Actors WhatsApp group is on FIRE tonight. We’re all so proud of him! Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke!! BRAVO SAM!!” Ryan Thomas added: “This makes me so happy.”

Over the past two years, the ITV show has lost more than one million viewers, with the 2023 launch episode being watched by 4.1 million people. However, this series has not made it over 3 million, according to official overnight ratings from BARB. Channel chiefs believe the only way to justify the huge costs involved in making Dancing on Ice going forward is by attracting a blockbuster audience, which isn’t happening.

One source said: “There are very real fears this is the end of the road for Dancing on Ice. It’s had a good run for nearly 20 years and has a very loyal set of viewers who really love it but the sad truth is there’s just not enough of them. We need bums on seats but the ratings have dropped to a point where it’s difficult to justify the cost

They arrived just before King Charles and Queen Camilla and were joined by other royals, including Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, as well as a 2,000-strong congregation.

The King was last year was forced to miss the service, honouring the 56 nations of the Commonwealth, after postponing his public-facing duties for around three months after being diagnosed with cancer. The Princess of Wales also couldn’t attend the service last year, a key event in the royal calendar, after also being diagnosed with cancer

He said: “Leaders recently reiterated the importance of collaboration for peace and human rights, as well as for the restoration of nature both on land and in the oceans.

“As we mark Commonwealth Day together, there is no more important task than to restore the disrupted harmony of our entire planet. For the sake of our younger generations’ threatened future, I can only hope that the Commonwealth will continue its vital work to restore that harmony.”

Plans have been announced for celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) and Victory over Japan (VJ) Days. Charles also referenced his in the message by saying: “This year, the world reflects on the eightieth anniversary of the end of World War Two. More than one and-a-half million men and women who served during the War came from across the Commonwealth to support the United Kingdom and its allies.

“On this special anniversary, we remember with particular pride and everlasting gratitude the untold sacrifice and selflessness of so many from around our Family of Nations who gave their lives in that dreadful conflict.”
