Kelly Clarkson still missing from show as fans ‘concerned’ by mystery absence

The Kelly Clarkson show saw model Molly Sims step in to cover for the host, and fans begged to know if something was wrong as Kelly’s absence was extended without warning

Fans have become even more concerned for Kelly Clarkson after her leave of absence from her own talk show was suddenly extended.

The Kelly Clarkson Show host has taken days off over February and into early March, and has now been absent this entire week without explanation. TMZ reported that she was due to be back for her March 13 show, but instead was again replaced by another star

In place of Kelly, 42, actress and model Molly Sims took over the morning broadcast today. On the show’s Instagram account, it was confirmed that Molly, 51, would also be stepping in to cover March 14.

The comment section of the announcement of Kelly’s replacements was full of messages from concerned fans, many of whom begged to know that the American Idol star was okay.

“We love Kelly and respect her privacy but y’all definitely need to put out some sort of statement because this is worrisome,” said one, with another adding: “I respect Kelly Clarkson’s privacy, but I am very concerned about her.”

“We don’t need to know her business but we need to know she is ok please,” a third wrote along with a crying emoji, while a fourth fan echoed: “I’m not going to watch until Kelly comes back. I’m concerned, where is she?”

Prior to Molly filling in, previous episodes over the last few weeks have seen celebs such as Marvel superhero Simu Liu, comedians Roy Wood Jr and Wanda Sykes, Hollywood star Brooke Shields, and Sunday Today anchor Willie Geist step into Kelly’s shoes.

While Kelly has been away the show has kept to its usual roster of big-name guests, with TV and film stars such as The White Lotus star Patrick Schwarzenegger, Amanda Seyfried, Smokey Robinson, Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, Joshua Jackson, Kneecap’s Michael Fassbender, and the four winners of the newest series of US The Traitors on the show to discuss their latest projects.

Despite Kelly seemingly having a full deck of hosts and guests ready to step in, Barbie star Simu hinted that things weren’t running so smoothly behind the scenes.

When presenting the chat show last week, he explained to confused fans: “Before we get things started, I do have a confession to make. I am not…Kelly Clarkson. I know this may shock many of you. But Kelly was not able to make it today, we’re sending her our very best.”

He then explained that his hosting role was hoisted on him at the very last minute, sharing: “Here’s the thing, I did not know that I was doing this until five minutes ago when I arrived here to promote my new movie Last Breath.

“…So I’m here now, and I’m not one to back down from a challenge,” he said, even going on to interview his own co-stars from the upcoming film.

ITV Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway told to ‘move on’ by producers

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway was told to ‘move on’ as she was discussing a topic on the show, which she said she could talk about ‘all morning’

On Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, Kate Garraway was urged to change the subject and ‘move on’.

The 57-year-old presenter, along with colleague Ed Balls, was dissecting the day’s hot topics, which included an unusual story of a dive-bombing hawk attacking tall men in a village in Hertfordshire

Co-presenter Ranvir Singh didn’t hold back her thoughts, speculating on the bird’s motives for targeting people. This led to Kate quipping: “She’s all over this!” while Ed chimed in with: “All these theories going around this morning!”

Even though the production team signaled it was time to wrap up the hawk saga, Kate confessed: “The producers are saying to ‘move on’ but I’d be quite happy to talk about this all morning, I’m fascinated here!” to which Ed wittily retorted: “Or… if we wait long enough, the hawk will appear!”

It comes as the hawk has caused chaos in a Hertfordshire village as it targets unsuspecting tall men, attacking their heads. It is believed that the bird is responsible for around 20 attacks in Flamstead.

Elsewhere, Kate will soon be swapping ITV for Channel 4 as she’s entering The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer.

Prior to this baking challenge, Kate shared: “I’ve never really done it. I love cooking and always seem to know how to combine ingredients to make something delicious but that’s different because you can taste it as you go. Baking is a different ball game entirely”, reports the Manchester Evening News.

“You take egg and flour and butter, that taste and look like one thing on their own, then put them together and they create something completely different. Baking is alchemy

“So, I don’t think I’ve come out proving myself a Merlin, but I’m hoping not to be the Wicked Witch of the West.”

As the topic continued about the hawk, Kate admitted: "The producers are saying to 'move on'"

Talking about her favourite bakes, she added: “You can’t go wrong with a Victoria Sponge with a fresh cream middle, I love cake. But I also love savoury bakes – sausage rolls and so on. It’s all delicious.”

The celebs are all taking part in support of Stand Up To Cancer, a joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK
    and Channel 4.

Hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will be providing encouragement as the stars take on a signature bake, a technical bake and a showstopper.

Meanwhile, judge Paul Hollywood is back, while Prue Leith’s long-standing friend and former colleague Caroline Waldegrave is standing in for Prue.

  • Gino D’Acampo’s ITV show replacement revealed after inappropriate behaviour claims

Gino D’Acampo’s ITV show replacement revealed after inappropriate behaviour claims

Gino D’Acampo’s ITV show Family Fortunes has been replaced following alleged bullying and sexually inappropriate comments, which the TV presenter has strongly denied

TV chef Gino D’Acampo’s ITV gameshow has been replaced following allegations made against the presenter.

The TV chef, 48, is facing allegations from dozens of people who have worked with him over a 12-year period. Complaints of alleged bullying and sexually inappropriate comments have been made – that he denies. The This Morning regular and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner came under the spotlight last month.

ITV News reported that dozens of former staff and freelancers made allegations about working with Gino, calling his behaviour over a reported 12 year period “unacceptable,” “distressing,” and “horrendous”. Since the allegations, D’Acampo’s shows have been pulled from ITV’s schedule.

Now, his show Family Fortunes has been shelved by ITV. A new series of Stephen Mulhern’s Celebrity Catchphrase will move from its traditional Saturday slot to Sunday nights. The slot is where Family Fortunes once took over airways. ITV commissioner Gemma John-Lewis said: “We’re delighted to announce a further series of the much loved family favourite, Celebrity Catchphrase.”

“The only show where you say what you see, the hugely popular series continues to win legions of fans and with Stephen’s infectious and playful humour it’s a firm favourite with our viewers,” she told TV Zone. Gary Chippington, Executive Producer and Creative Director of STV Studios Entertainment, added: “It’s testament to Catchphrase’s fantastic format and universal appeal that it’s still one of the UK’s most-loved entertainment shows, four decades after ITV first commissioned it…

“The incomparable Stephen Mulhern is a huge part of the show’s success, and we’re looking forward to getting back in the studio with him and a great line-up of stars later this year for what promises to be another brilliant series of Celebrity Catchphrase.” It was previously reported D’Acampo’s pre-recorded Family Fortunes episodes would not air amid the investigation into Gino’s alleged behaviour.

The episodes are said to have been filmed in 2023 and were due to air this spring. D’Acampo has hosted the game show since 2020. He has firmly denied the allegations, adding that they were “deeply upsetting”. In the investigation, one woman claimed D’Acampo told her he would “like to turn me over and f*** me up the a*** against the kitchen counter” while working on a photoshoot.

Another alleged that when she went to brief him about a location shoot, he opened the door in his boxer shorts and made jokes about his privates, leaving her feeling uncomfortable. While a separate claim accused D’Acampo of threatening a junior member of staff on Gino’s Italian Express. “I was present when Gino said to the runner, ‘If you don’t get me a Cornetto, I will f*** your girlfriend’,” one female crew member said

Responding to the claims in their entirety in a statement to ITV News, Gino said: “I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.

“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately. I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”

Britain’s Got Talent axed from schedules in major ITV shake-up

Britain’s Got Talent has been axed from Saturday night’s schedule in a major ITV shake up, meaning fans of the talent show will have to wait another week for the next round of auditions

Hit series Britain’s Got Talent has been removed from the schedules on Saturday night to make way for the Six Nations Live match on ITV1.

Fans tuning in to see the latest instalment of the talent show hosted by Ant and Dec will instead be treated to live coverage of the France v Scotland rugby union final being held at the Stade de France. The kick off is at 8pm, with ITV’s coverage beginning at 7.15pm, when Britain’s Got Talent usually airs. The talent show will return next week, following last Saturday’s episode that saw the show being branded ‘fake’ by fans, following an act in which Simon Cowell said he was left ‘fearing for his life’ during a bizarre audition. Producers intervened when contestant Kranthi Drillman, wielding a sledgehammer, ignored Simon’s desperate pleas to stop. Kranthi had instructed Simon to lie on stage in an angel position, surrounding him with watermelons and coconuts. He then blindfolded himself and began smashing the fruit wildly, continuing even when the audience appeared uncomfortable

Some fans have decided one BGT act was ‘fake’ on last week’s show

Simon later admitted he was genuinely worried for his safety during the act. However, many BGT viewers accused Kranthi of faking his intense performance. Fans claim to have spotted the secret behind his act, suggesting that his blindfold was actually see-through. One user wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Obviously see through the blindfold.” Whilst another echoed: “He could obviously see through the scarf and he thinks he’s won

A third penned: “You can tell the coconuts and the watermelons have been weakened and you could tell he could clearly see what he was doing when Simon was laid down.” A fourth wrote: “There is no way that hammer swinging idiot could not see.” Whilst a fifth said: “What a load of b******s! If that yoga teacher was totally blindfolded he wouldn’t hit a coconut or watermelon every single time with 100% accuracy.”

A sixth said: “Yeah. He could see through the blindfold. Idiots, these people.” One eagled eyed viewer claimed that Kranthi locked eyes with a crew member penning: “For anybody wondering if he could see through the blindfold or not (fairly obvious though) take a look at the end when the stagehand puts his hand up in front of his face to tell him to stop.”

During the dangerous act, Simon, who was advised to stay still, didn’t listen and moved around, making the move extra risky. Alesha Dixon, 46, and Amanda Holden, 54, were keen for the act to stop as the sledgehammer landed centimetres from Simon’s face. “I genuinely thought my days were numbered,” admitted Simon.

So far in the new series there have been multiple acts who have received the Golden Buzzer, which guarantees a place in the semi final rounds of the talent show. Singer Vinnie McKee, impressionist Will Burns and singer Stacey Leadbeatter are all through to the live rounds that will be shown later this spring.

Exclusive: Matt Baker leaves co-stars floored with eye-popping sex exam on Channel 4 show

Matt Baker is returning to his Channel 4 series Our Dream Farm this weekend – however, the TV presenter revealed that it gets “interesting” for candidates in one challenge

TV presenter Matt Baker is making a wannabe farmer’s dreams come true as his Channel 4 show returns, with seven applicants competing for the chance to run a National Trust property.

While it may get emotional, viewers can also expect some giggles when the candidates have to choose a virile ram to breed with a flock. “You see them do ram selection, where they have to make sure all the parts of the ram are working correctly. And when I say ‘health inspection’, I mean the full thing!” Matt told The Mirror in an exclusive chat. “When you put people in that situation and they’ve never handled something like that before, it gets interesting!”

The Our Dream Farm presenter admitted that he can only juggle his busy television career with running his own farm thanks to his wife Nicola and their two children.

“I think that’s testament to a strong family – that’s the secret,” he said. “We’re always doing something and it all culminates around the farm.

“That’s the best thing about growing up on a farm and living on a farm – you can work closely with your family. There aren’t many industries that support or promote that, but farming is one where you’re all very much at one with each other and working towards a common goal.”

Countryfile’s Matt runs his family farm in the Durham hills, having grown up rearing animals alongside his parents. However, he won’t be putting pressure on son Luke, 17, and daughter Molly, 14, to stay in the farming world.

“I don’t ever want to force my kids into doing anything,” he said. “I don’t want them to feel they have to take on that responsibility. But I think they’ll always want to live in this world in some way. They’ve lived all their life with sheep – that’s where home is.”

In the new season, seven applicants take part in a series of practical challenges with the aim of becoming the tenant of the National Trust’s 600-acre farm in Eryri, North Wales

“This is the most nature-rich farm the National Trust has in Wales,” Matt said. “The series is a practical job interview, and these candidates are an incredible bunch of people, from builders to experienced farmers, and even a mother-and-son combo.

“Through this process, the National Trust can see first hand who’s going to be the most suitable for this farm. It’s a life-changing opportunity and it’s heartbreaking when we have to say goodbye to those who’ve put their heart and soul into it.”

Exclusive: Dancing on Ice insider gives update on show’s future with telling comment

Dancing on Ice medic Trish Tippett has given an update on the ITV skating competition’s future amid rumours of its axing ahead of her TV debut on Channel 4’s Tempting Fortune

A medic for Dancing on Ice has shared what she knows about the ITV’s show future amid rumours that it won’t be renewed for another series next year.

TV medic Trish Tippett, who will moving in front of the camera for Channel 4’s Tempting Fortune, revealed in an exclusive interview with The Mirror that she has worked on Dancing on Ice for a number of years – and revealed that she’s “in the dark” about whether it will be back on our screens.

When asked whether she will work on next year’s series, Trish said: “If it goes ahead again. We haven’t been told yet.”

She added: “Hopefully fingers crossed for next year because the people on it are fantastic, absolutely lovely – a pleasure to work with.

“We get told the same as the public to be honest. We’re just as in the dark as the public are as to next year.”

Earlier this month, The Mirror revealed that the last series of Dancing on Ice could be its final one, with insiders exclusively revealing that channel chiefs are struggling to justify the show’s large costs amid a dwindling audience. “There are very real fears this is the end of the road for Dancing on Ice,” they said. “We need bums on seats but the ratings have dropped to a point where it’s difficult to justify the cost.”

As for Trish, 59, the paramedic will be attempting to win £300,000 on Channel 4’s Tempting Fortune, hosted by comedian Paddy McGuinness. The returning show sees 12 strangers give up all luxuries on an 18-day trek across Malaysia – however, their huge prize pot will begin to dwindle if they choose to spend money on temptations along the way.

Weightlifter Trish revealed that she wanted to embrace the challenge of the show ahead of turning 60. “I just want to go out and grab life by the balls and fill it full of all the things that I really want to do in life,” she said.

“I have more years behind me than I have in front so if I live the same age as the females in my family, I have another 25 years so I’m going to fill it up with as much adventure as possible.”

Trish shared that she wanted to spend the money on a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the Weightlifting Championships. “I do weightlifting for Great Britain so last year I got the triple gold in my age group,” she said. “This year I’ve qualified for my first World Championships but it’s in Las Vegas and it’s a lot of money to get out there as we have to pay our way for everything

“I just need a nice bit of money to fly out, compete and do some sightseeing as well.”

Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver shares real reason for exit after hidden struggle

Coronation Street icon Sue Cleaver – who has played Eileen Grimshaw on the soap for 25 years – has revealed that she’s leaving the cobbles to start anew after facing anxiety

Sue Cleaver has opened up about the reason behind her exit from Coronation Street after 25 years of playing Eileen Grimshaw on the soap, sharing that she’s struggled with self-criticism over the years.

In January,, Sue announced that she was leaving the ITV soap after 25 years of playing Eileen to make a change in her life. In a statement, she revealed that the door “is still firmly open” to return to the soap but that she’s ready for “new adventures”

Appearing on This Morning today, Sue spoke about her exit after being asked why she was leaving by hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.

“I’m leaving now – I’m 61 and this is what my new book is all about. I think we get to an age where society wants us just to shuffle off quietly and I really want to encourage other women that we have so much more to give,” she said.

“We have experience, we make great mentors, we make great resolution makers, we’re great teachers – we have so much life experience. I think a lot of women lose their confidence and their belief in themselves. I think we spend too much time looking after other people and we haven’t spent enough time prioritising ourselves.”

Sue added that she has struggled with “negative” thoughts throughout her life. “I hope to help people realise that you don’t have to listen to those thoughts, they’re just background noise,” she said.

She later said: “I was listening to my own self-criticism. I thought, ‘I’m not good enough, I’m an imposter, I’m going to get found out, I’m a horrible person.’ Then I realised that thoughts come and go. We take our thoughts as fact and they’re not.

“We get wrapped up with the thoughts, the problems, the what ifs. Anxiety, which is a bit one of mine, is always future based. It’s always about ‘could this happen?’ It’s our imaginings and as we know, that’s not real

Earlier in the interview, Sue revealed that she “nearly killed” her co-stars Simon Gregson and Craig Charles on Coronation Street during a scene that went horribly wrong.

“I remember in the early days when you slapped someone – you used to do it,” she said. “Now, you’ve got stunt people in and it’s all magic but we used to do it. I remember banging Steve McDonald and Craig [Charles]’s heads together and there was an almighty bang. Honestly, I nearly killed them. I got carried away

Princess Eugenie’s reunion with Zara Tindall at Cheltenham as Camilla leads royals

Queen Camilla, Princess Eugenie and Mike and Zara Tindall were among the punters at the Cheltenham Festival today for ‘Style Wednesday’ – traditionally called Ladies Day

Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall had a royal reunion at Cheltenham today – with Queen Camilla leading the royals at the festival.

The royal trio joined thousands of punters for the second day of the horse racing meeting, which was traditionally known as Ladies Day – but is now called Style Wednesday. Amid the chilly weather Zara and younger cousin Eugenie wore co-ordinating burgundy outfits as they posed for the cameras with husbands Mike Tindall and Jack Brooksbank

Eugenie opted for a burgundy coat with a headband style hat in the same colour while Zara teamed her grey pinstripe suit with a burgundy polo neck jumper and a fascinator in a matching colour.

Their aunt Camilla, in a brown ensemble, arrived in sunshine as punters poured through the gates ahead of the first race. The Queen walked past racegoers, who captured the moment on their camera phones, as she was escorted by Sybil Ruscoe, deputy lieutenant for Gloucestershire, to the Princess Royal stand.

The festival is a huge event in the area with bars, hotels and pubs filled in nearby Cheltenham, and alongside a normal trolley service one train, from Paddington to the town’s main station, had another trolley selling just cans of beer.

The Queen is due to present the winning trophies in the feature race the Queen Mother Champion Chase, being held on the second day of the festival dubbed “Style Wednesday” when punters are encouraged to up the fashion stakes. The race is the most prestigious event for two-mile chasers in the jump racing calendar and is expected to attract a huge amount in bets.

Camilla has a keen interest in the equestrian world, regularly attending major racing meets such as Royal Ascot and the Cheltenham Festival and is associated with a number of equine charities including The British Equestrian Federation and the Ebony Horse Club.

She was recently announced as the royal patron of the British Racing School which trains the next generation in the horse racing industry. The new move to ‘Style Wednesday’ by Cheltenham organisers hopes to loosen the dress code and become gender-neutral, ‘accessible’ and ‘inclusive’ with jackets and ties no longer required and jeans and trainers on the agenda.

Camilla’s appearance at the races comes after a busy start to the week as she joined the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales at the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday.

Yesterday, she hosted a star-studded reception at Buckingham Palace, where she warned of the “daunting task” of achieving global gender equality in future years.

Victoria Beckham and Gavin And Stacey actress Ruth Jones were among those present as Camilla hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the 15th anniversary of the Women Of The World (Wow) Foundation, of which she has been the president since 2015.

Coleen Nolan’s heartbreaking milestone as she reveals Linda’s final words

As Loose Women star and Daily Mirror Columnist Coleen Nolan celebrates her milestone 60th birthday, she remembers sister Linda who passed away earlier this year

As Coleen Nolan celebrates her 60th birthday, she can’t help but think about those who should be here to celebrate, including her sister Linda.

It was just two months ago that fellow Mirror columnist Linda, 65, passed away from double pneumonia following a 20-year cancer ordeal. It came 12 years after the Nolans lost sister Bernie aged 52 to the same disease.

“It does feel weird that I’m turning 60 so soon after losing Linda,” Coleen told the Mirror, after throwing a big London bash for her colleagues and family. “[But] parties were her thing, so she would have insisted on some kind of celebration that involved music and dancing.”

Beloved entertainer Linda was surrounded by family when she took her final breath, with her devoted sisters, including Anne, 74, Denise, 72, Maureen, 69, and Coleen, at her bedside

Loose Women star Coleen previously recalled the touching last exchange they shared. Speaking 10 days after her death, Coleen shared: “My daughter Ciara and I sat with her and we said everything we needed to say to each other.

“She told us how much she loved us and we told her we loved her. I think she knew it would be the last time she’d see us, but there were no tears. Although she had double pneumonia and was on oxygen, she was cracking jokes, being her usual funny self and eating the chocolate people had brought her. She wanted to hear about my new grandson and I showed her lots of photos of him.”

Despite the nurses’ insistence that she rest, Linda remained true to her character, continuing to chat with her loved ones. Coleen recalled the last words she shared with Linda: “When I left that evening, I told her I’d come and visit the next day and she said, “Oh, you don’t have to” and I said, “I know, but I will” and then she said, ‘Col, I really love you’.”

While she’s very much missing sister Linda on her big birthday, Coleen is always looking on the bright side.

“Milestone birthdays can have a funny effect on people,” she said. “For some, turning 60 might feel a bit depressing – let’s be honest, it’s starting to feel quite close to pension age, whatever that is these days!

“But I’m just incredibly grateful to get the chance to celebrate another year and I feel blessed that I’m still doing work that I love.”

James Haskell holds hands with Big Brother star at Cheltenham after Chloe Madeley split

Rugby and TV star James Haskell has stepped out at Cheltenham Festival with a former Big Brother star as they were spotted holding hands after his split from Chloe Madeley

James Haskell has attended Cheltenham Festival with a former Big Brother star following his split from Chloe Madeley.

The former rugby star stepped out at the prestigious horse racing festival this afternoon in a three-piece blue suit. He arrived with a mystery brunette woman, who he held hands with while at the track. She has now been revealed as Sara McLean, a former Miss Edinburgh and Big Brother contestant

It is not the first time Sara has dated sports stars as she has been linked to US World Cup goalie Tim Howard, rugby star Ben Cohen, cricket legend Brian Lara as well as TOWIE’s Mario Falcone. Sara appeared on Big Brother back in 2012 where she made it all the way to the final.

She had a standout moment on the reality show when she broke out into a tearful rendition of God Save the Queen before launching into a pro monarchy rant. Sara also threatened to punch model Arron Lowe when he said he would pour the housemates’ alcohol down the drain.

James split from Chloe Madeley in October 2023 after five years of marriage. The rugby union ace called time on his romance with the daughter of TV stars Richard and Judy shortly after they filmed ITV series Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair. James and Chloe had attended the horse racing event together back in 2022.

Chloe has spoken candidly about the difficulty of their separation, describing the final year of their marriage as “one of the worst periods of my life”. She believes they are better off apart, but James recently expressed gratitude for the positive impact she had on him. On the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, James said: “Chloe is an amazing woman, extremely talented, she’s made me a much better person, being with her, now we’re separated. You separate essentially because you want to make sure your daughter has the best possible life.”

The ability for us to co-parent and do stuff is so important, Chloe is more vocal because she wears her heart on her sleeve.”

His Cheltenham date with Sara comes just weeks after reports he was dating advertising executive Helen Barclay, 34. Their pairing was said to have become more serious back in January after the duo first connected over a year ago. It was claimed the pair enjoyed a number of dates with each other, and also spent a lot of time at each other’s houses.

James and Helen were spotted at Knightsbridge restaurant Clap as they enjoyed a romantic date night. The TV star was also spotted commenting on mum-of-two Helen’s Instagram photos as he branded her “fit” as his flirtatious online behaviour heated up.
