Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha says she was “worried sick” after being taken into hospital recently in a terrifying health scare which she ‘wishes she’d dealt with earlier’
Nadia Sawalha was “worried sick” after being hospitalised in a recent health scare.
The Loose Women panellist, 57, shared a hospital bed snap this evening, saying that she wishes she had “dealt with it sooner” after undergoing a hysteroscopy.
The former Eastenders actress said she has been given the all clear after the procedure, which is to examine the inside of the womb.
“The only reason I’m posting these pics is because I want to catch your eye and urge you if you have been worrying about any symptoms you’ve been experiencing to bite the bullet and get yourself seen,” the Annie Palmer actress penned on Instagram.

She added: “Delaying things will only cause more worry.
“I’m not going to lie I’ve been worried sick myself recently but was given the all clear on Monday! I only wish I had dealt with it earlier, so I didn’t get myself into such a pickle.
“Don’t delay make the call. Get seen. You know it makes sense. Big hugs, love Nads xxx #womenshealth #hysteroscopy #wombwellness”.
Fans and celebrity pals were quick to send messages of support to the former BBC soap star.

One follower said: “Oh Nadia I’m glad you’re OK, but you’re so right, any worry is best dealt with straight the way so you can get on with your life, sending hugs.”
Another said: “Aww, I’m glad you got the all clear Nadia. I actually do need to speak my GP about a few things. And I will asap.”
A third penned: “So glad you took care of it! Gynae stuff is so daunting. Speaking from experience, my friends mum had womb thickness & bleeding & it all ended up ok, all the very bestest x”
Team GB swimmer Eleanor Robinson sent Nadia some hand clapping emojis, while author Laura Belbin added: “Pleased you’re all okay.”
The recent health scare comes after Nadia discovered she was at a “moderately high risk” of becoming prediabetic during a live episode of ITV ‘s Loose Women in 2018.

Nadia Sawalha)Her father, actor Nadim Sawalha, received a surprise type 2 diabetes diagnosis 35 years ago and he became fastidious about good nutrition.
And although Nadia jokes that his endless talk of healthy eating grew tiresome, she now credits him for helping protect her from the disease.
Speaking on Loose Women previously, she said: “After his diagnosis, Dad was religious with his food and when I was younger I used to think, ‘Oh God, if I hear one more thing about green vegetables and blood sugar,’ but it all went in by osmosis.
“I really admire my father for working so hard to manage his type 2 diabetes and now all that knowledge he has passed down to me is in play now.”
