Sarah Ferguson provided updates on Princess Kate and King Charles during a TV interview on Wednesday morning.
Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles had been diagnosed with a form of cancer in February.
The monarch returned to public-facing duties in late April with an engagement alongside Queen Camill at the Macmillan Cancer Centre in London.

In March, the Princess of Wales announced that cancer was found in tests following a significant abdominal surgery earlier this year.
Princess Kate released a video message confirming the diagnosis and revealing she had undergone preventative chemotherapy.
The Princess of Wales has not returned to public duties as she continues to focus on her health following the diagnosis.

The Duchess of York spoke with Martin Lewis and Susanna Reid regarding her own cancer diagnosis as well as her family members.
Ferguson responded: “I am so proud of the King going to Cancer Research UK and becoming the royal patron, going out there and talking to all these people.
“It gives everybody that wonderful feeling that they are being listened to, I thought it was very brave for him to do that.
“The lovely Princess Catherine doing the video was so brave, I think family unity is an extraordinary thing.
“I am so proud, I am sending lots of love and lots of support. We can all rally together.”
