ITV Coronation Street confirms sad exit for another character amid murder theory

It seems another Coronation Street character will be leaving the ITV soap very soon amid a death theory.

With it confirmed characters including Gail Platt and Joel Deering are leaving the show, after a number of other exits earlier this year, there’s a further departure on the way. Months after it was reported that Stu Carpenter actor Bill Fellows had quit the show after three years, new spoilers have finally confirmed this to be the case.

Stu actor Bill had announced his departure weeks ago but there was nothing from the show to suggest an exit was on the cards. Now teasers have revealed the exit is looming and could happen any time now, while it’s thought the scenes will definitely air this month.

In a new spoiler, Stu is angry with his partner Yasmeen Nazir amid him trying to help out troubled teen Mason Radcliffe. With Mason now bringing trouble to their door thanks to his abusive brothers, it seems a split is on the cards for the couple.

When Mason is found somewhere else to live after drama, Stu is annoyed about what’s happened. He then tells Yasmeen that he is thinking about moving to Germany to be closer to his granddaughter Eliza.

Eliza previously left Weatherfield to live with her father Dom abroad, and now Stu is keen to join them. But is this how Stu will leave the show, and how will Yasmeen react to the news?

Taking to Instagram recently, actor Bill, 67, shared a picture of the sweet leaving gift from his co-stars as he confirmed his exit. Bill revealed he had received a portrait of himself signed with sweet messages from the cast.

Captioning the post, the actor penned: “Nice parting give with a top quality bottle of Champagne x”. Bill’s co-stars were quick to bid an emotional farewell as they commented on the post.

Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow, wrote: “Going to miss you in work!!” with crying emojis, Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina Lucas, said: “Gonna miss you” with upset emojis while Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton, added: “We will miss you” with heart emojis.

It comes as fans predicted a heartbreaking death could be on the cards. Viewers saw Mason opening up to Stu recently about his home life and his abusive brothers.

When Stu found him in the restaurant before opening time, he wondered what was going on leading to Mason explaining his home situation. Mason told him that he’d spent the night there to avoid another beating from his violent older brothers.

With violent Logan making his debut and trying to drag Mason into his life of crime, Stu could face danger when he intervenes. But could the drama cost him his life given he is leaving the ITV soap?
