Meghan Markle caught in major ‘snub’ after secret change on Archie’s birth certificate
Meghan Markle made one particular move which was dubbed as a ‘huge snub’ to Princess William and Princess Kate.
Prince Archie’s certificate was altered
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry once made an “unprecedented” move regarding their son, Prince Archie’s birth certificate which was dubbed as a major “snub” to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The Duchess of Sussex altered Archie’s birth certificate just days after his birth was officially registered.
According to the Sun, the birth certificate was altered to show his mother as “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex” instead of the original “Rachel Meghan”.
Harry and Meghan’s eldest child was born on May 6, 2019, with his birth registered 11 days later before the amendment was made on June 5.
The outlet at the time reported that this was a “snub” to Prince William and Princess Kate, who used Kate’s names on their children’s certificates.

It also suggested the intention was to place Meghan on an equal footing with Prince Harry’s mother Princess Diana, who would always use “Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales”.
However, a spokesman for the Sussexes insisted that the move was “dictated by The Palace” and not “requested” by Meghan nor Harry.
Just days after the change, Harry and Meghan left the Royal Foundation – the so-called Fab Four’s joint charity – and months later they quit their royal duties and moved to the US.
Meanwhile, Lady Colin Campbell, who spotted the amendment, said: “It is extraordinary and raises all kinds of questions about what the Sussexes were thinking.”
