Loose Women panellist Ruth Langsford enjoyed a lovely meal as she ‘treated herself’ after her split from TV presenter Eamonn Holmes
Ruth Langsford made sure to ‘treat herself’ with a meal for two after announcing her split from Eamonn Holmes.
The Loose Women panellist, 64, and GB News star Eamonn, also 64, who tied the knot in 2010, sent shockwaves through the UK showbiz industry last Saturday when it was revealed they had called time on their marriage and were headed for divorce courts. The two started dating in 1996 and welcomed a son in 2002.
Since the announcement, Ruth has been sharing little glimpses into her life as a single woman on her social media pages. In a new video posted on her page, the TV presenter shared her meal ideas for two as she discussed preparing and cooking meals for her and her mother.
She said in the collaboration: “You all know I love cooking, but sometimes it’s nice to treat myself to something easy to prepare that I know will be absolutely delicious. So, I’ve partnered with @tescofood to show you their fantastic Finest Dine In Summer menu for two.”

Fans rushed to the comment section to share their support for the presenter. One user posted: “Keep smiling lovely lady,” while another commented: “You go girl keep your chin up and don’t let negative people pull you down.” One fan added: “You are truly an amazing woman. My heart is with you through your difficult time at the moment. Love also to Eamonn who is a kind man.”
Whispers of a shock announcement began circulating on Saturday before the sad news was finally confirmed by the couple’s representatives over the weekend. The joint statement read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
They had been together for 27 years and share a 22-year-old son, Jack. Eamonn returned to work on Tuesday as he presented his GB News show with his wedding ring still on. Meanwhile, Ruth was spotted running errands in Surrey while still wearing her wedding ring.
Ruth was notably absent from her Loose Women gig. However, she did appear on the shopping channel QVC on Thursday, promoting her clothing range – while wearing her wedding ring. The presenter shared a mirror selfie taken in an elevator, wearing an outfit from her line with the caption: “Yes… It had to be done!” as she added Naughty Boy’s popular song with Emeli Sande, Lifted, onto the Instagram Story post.
