Denise Welch and the Loose Women team experienced a performance by Andrea Bocelli, causing the panellist to poke fun at Kim Kardashian for “paying for” a show from the opera singer.
Andrea Bocelli performed on Wednesday’s episode of Loose Women, after which panellist Denise Welch poked fun at Kim Kardashian for “paying for” a performance from the opera star.
The Italian tenor performed an emotional rendition of Bambina Mia with his 12-year-old daughter Virginia on the series in light of his upcoming BST Hyde Park show. The singer joined the panel to discuss his upcoming concert at the London festival, which runs until July 14.
The former Coronation Street star couldn’t help but joke about experiencing one of the icon’s performances for free when the American reality star had to seemingly pay for the privilege. Of course, fans of the singer will recall how Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West invited Bocelli to sing at their Florence wedding in 2014.

Taking to Instagram, Welch marked the unforgettable moment Bocelli graced the Loose Women stage. She wrote above a re-posted video of the singer on the show: “I felt like I had a private audience with @andreabocelliofficial Kim Kardashian had to pay for that!!!”
Back at the former spouses’ wedding, the pair were pictured at the time intensely staring into each other’s eyes during one of the songs. E! News reported at the time that Bocelli performed several songs, including Ave Maria and his hit Con te partirò (With You I Will Leave).
Speaking recently on the talk show series, his child admitted that she was just eight years old when she first sang with her famous father to an audience. “I wasn’t supposed to sing. I’m not sure how it happened,” Virginia said.

Andrea then responded: “I had to sing Hallelujah and it has a lot of English words, so I asked Virginia to learn the song to sing it with me.” The pair performed in Palma, Mallorca, for her first performance.
“The song is about a dad who is talking to his daughter about life and love,” Virginia explained. “I got emotional when I was recording it, it took a long time to record it because I was bawling, and then my dad noticed and made fun of me.”
The star is due to take to the stage at Hyde Park on Friday. Andrea said the upcoming performance is “a dream come true for me”.
The international singer is set to sing alongside The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, which is conducted by Michele Spotti. The conductor has fulfilled the role of Musical Director of Marseille’s Opera House and Philharmonic Orchestra since 2023.
TV personality Myleene Klass is comparing the festival day. Festival-goers will also be treated to performances from Nadine Sierra, Isabel Leonard, and Luca Micheletti as well as a choir by the Crouch End Festival Chorus.
