Coronation Street spoilers for next week reveal some huge scenes from news of the death of an ITV soap legend, to one favourite facing danger and another character returning
Viewers can expect sad scenes and worrying twists on Coronation Street next week according to new spoilers.
There’s the shocking death of a former character and an ITV soap legend next week, leaving one family reeling. There’s fears of another death too as one character is left lifeless after an attack, with loved ones holding a bedside vigil.
There’s also accusations aplenty, from secret romances possibly being rumbled to police harassment. There’s concern from some, and the return of a character too with a new relationship teased.
The big storyline of the week is the tragic death of former show favourite Les Battersby. Leanne Battersby finds out her father, played by actor Bruce Jones, has tragically died at work in a huge twist that has been reported recently.
The soap did not confirm the news at the time, amid it being revealed the actor found out via an email years on from his last appearance on the show. New spoilers have confirmed the death twist, with Leanne and sister Toyah Battersby left grieving for their late father.

Leanne is yet to find out that Toyah is secretly in a romance with her ex Nick Tilsley, after their recent affair. Giving romance a go, they have kept it from Leanne out of fear of how she might react.
But a mistake with a holiday booking may reveal everything to Leanne next week. Elsewhere and Carla Connor could face death in a horrifying attack next week.
Spoilers reveal that Carla arrives at the factory only to find the place has been trashed, with someone having broken in. As she gets her phone out and prepares to call the police, she’s brutally attacked and hit over the head.
Carla is left lifeless as she falls to the ground, with her soon rushed to hospital. Lisa Swain is devastated over the attack, especially having just told Carla moments earlier that she wasn’t ready for a relationship amid Carla confessing her feelings for her.

Lisa sits by her bedside, and wills for Carla to pull through. Troublemaker Matty Radcliffe is hauled in for questioning by police over the assault, and soon Lisa is left convinced he has something to do with it.
Carla is revealed to be okay as by the end of the week she’s allowed to go home. Roy Cropper urges Lisa and Carla to build bridges, suggesting it’s clear they both like each other but what will they say?
Elsewhere, Lisa’s daughter Betsy Swain tells worried Mason she’s dealt with his brothers including Matty, while Lauren Bolton fears for Frankie’s future amid her killer secret. Also next week Alya Nazir is back after her exit earlier this year.
