Whoopi Goldberg has revealed her thoughts on Meghan and Harry being chased
Whoopi Goldberg has weighed in on Prince Harry and Meghan’s claims they were “chased” for hours in New York City.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they were involved in a “near-catastrophic” two-hour “car chase” through the streets of New York on Tuesday night, local time.
The couple’s car chase claims became a hot topic on the American talk show The View that Goldberg co-hosts.
“If it was possible to have car chases in New York we’d all make it to the theatre on time,” the Oscar winner quipped.

Goldberg and her co-hosts discussed if it was even possible to have a car chase in New York City.
“I think their spokesman referenced something that you’d generally reference in Los Angeles,” Goldberg argued. “That’s where you have chases. That’s where you can move at high speeds.
“I think they were dealing with aggressive paparazzi, but I don’t think it was where, you know, you watch it on TV like this, watching the cars go, because it just doesn’t work in New York.
“Sometimes I’m in the city, and I hear an ambulance trying to get through, and I think that person is dead,” co-host Joy Behar pointed out.
Meanwhile, co-host Sunny Hustin backed the couple and she said: “If they feel scared, I’ll grant them that.”
Goldberg though made it clear she felt the word “chase” was misleading and was the reason people were upset.
“When you use that kind of verbiage, know that your credibility is going to get cut in half because the first thing New Yorkers will say is nobody moves that fast in New York City,” she said.

The View never shies away from discussing current affairs.
Even when the conversation turned to how paparazzi can really invade people’s privacy and perhaps Meghan and Harry were caught off guard by the intense attention, Goldberg wasn’t swayed.
“The Paparazzi is always going to go for celebrities and it is their right. They were as aggressive as they would be with Taylor Swift,” she said.
Goldberg’s criticism comes after cab driver Sukcharn Singh, who picked up the royal couple, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and a security guard, told The Washington Post: “I don’t think I would call it a chase.
“They were quiet and seemed scared but it’s New York – it’s safe,” he added.
New York Mayor Eric Adams said he found it “hard to believe that there was a two-hour high-speed chase” through the Big Apple, but added that even “a 10-minute chase is extremely dangerous in New York City.”
