Gabby Logan’s empty nest mansion she plans to leave

Sports Personality of the Year host Gabby Logan’s kids have moved out, making her wonder if it’s time for a change

V host and former athlete Gabby Logan is lighting up our screens tonight as host of the Sports Personality of the Year awards, adding to her already busy schedule, including Match of the Day, which she took over hosting from Gary Lineker this summer.

When she’s not working hard, the 52-year-old relaxes at her sprawling mansion in Buckinghamshire – but it’s not quite as busy in her and her husband Kenny’s country pad as it once was, since their twins Lois and Reuben both left home.

Now with an empty nest, Gabby’s mind wanders to where she might move, telling us: “Whenever I look at property porn, I always put Edinburgh in,” before adding: “But it’s totally impractical, I’d spend my whole life on a plane, coming south or going to Manchester.”

Although she toys with the idea of selling up, she’s aware the kids might not be ready for that just yet, explaining: “I feel as we’re close enough to London that if Lois did get a job in London, she’d want to be living back at home. And there’s a period where I think you’ve got to take their emotions into consideration if you can, not just wrenching things away. It’s not up to them, but you can consider them for a while.”

With such a gorgeous house at home, we can see why Lois might like to return…

Gabby and Kenny’s country kitchen

Gabby’s kitchen space has cream walls and black marble worktops, including a waterfall island in the middle of the space.

Glass lampshades and a grey metal style with a chunky chain fitting make for a rustic aesthetic, alongside a wooden surround on the cooker hood. There is also a large square-shaped wooden dining table, lined with stools with grey rattan seats.

Another shot of Gabby in the kitchen showed that the couple have a traditional black AGA oven.

Gabby’s home office is painted a chic olive green and has a framed magazine cover of the sports star mounted on the wall, alongside a rugby photo of her husband and a noticeboard brimming with personal bits and pieces such as photos and business cards.

Gabby and Kenny’s living room has a navy floor-to-ceiling bookshelf, with the space decorated with cream walls and carpets. A light cream sofa and tall sash windows make for a bright and airy feel.

She also has an abundance of outdoor furniture for lounging on in her rare downtime.

Upstairs, Gabby’s bedroom follows the same muted design scheme, with light grey walls and carpets, and cream furnishings, including long curtains and Gabby’s bed linen.

Gabby and Kenny’s bedroom is connected to its own dressing room. It has been fitted with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and shelves, and a central island with more drawers in the middle.
