Austen Kroll addressed his breakup with Audrey Pratt, and suggested that the “door” isn’t completely “shut.” The Southern Charm star also shared where he stands with Craig Conover, and discussed his friendship with ex Madison LeCroy.
In the recent season premiere, Austen and Craig had a fight after Austen brought up Craig’s drinking – before Craig suggested they weren’t really friends. Last season, Craig hinted that he distanced himself from Austen because he was trying to cut back on alcohol. Meanwhile in the trailer, Madison asked Austen if he was “bored” in his relationship with Audrey.
Speaking to ET, Austen addressed his status with Audrey today.
“Where are we with Audrey? … Look, when we go through the season, some tough questions kind of have to be asked,” he said. “And unfortunately, the relationship was a casualty this season … It [ran its course].”
“But there still might be hope, no?” asked Whitney Sudler-Smith, who was also in the interview.
“Look, I would never shut the door on that,” Austen responded.
“You can’t give up on love,” said Whitney. “You can’t hurry love either.”
Austen then was asked where he stands with Craig.
“So, it is funny because Craig and I can see each other here [at BravoCon], and we’re texting about BravoCon, and I’ll see him and we’ll laugh and this and that,” he said. “But there are just things that need to be flushed out that were not last year. And it spilled over to this season. And I’m just hoping that we can.”
During a BravoCon panel, Austen hinted that fans will see his split unfold with Audrey in the season.
“When cameras picked up, we’d been dating for about a year and a half at that point,” he said, via Entertainment Now. “And so, questions begin to come up about like, ‘Hey, what does the future look like?’ And in my opinion, I just think it’s a normal look at like, ‘OK, what is the next step?’”
“Of course, I open up to my friends about it and to my family about it,” he added. “I open up to my mom about it. I open up to Madison about it, because she knows me pretty damn well and can tell me things that I suck at, which I appreciate.”
At a different panel, Austen and Madison addressed their unlikely friendship.
“Him and Craig drive me up the wall,” said Madison. “The friendship, it’s like, it’s intense. And Austen doesn’t listen to me very often, clearly, so.”
Austen agreed, “I have annoying tendencies … My worst quality is loving Craig through it all. Best quality? I think I’m pretty damn funny. Madison and I can make each other laugh and she cannot deny that.”
