They’re Still Smiling: Jesy Nelson quietly pushes the pram through the winter, surrounded by medical equipment and unconditional love — moving forward one step at a time with her two little fighters

Jesy Nelson has shared a deeply emotional glimpse into her new reality, posting fresh photos of her twin baby daughters during a winter walk just days after opening up about their heartbreaking diagnosis.

The former Little Mix star, 34, recently revealed that her daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, have been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, a rare genetic condition that causes progressive muscle weakness.

In the touching images shared with fans, the twins are seen wrapped up snugly in their pram, bundled against the cold as Jesy takes them out for what she described as one of their gentle winter walks. Another photo, taken from behind, shows Jesy dressed casually as she pushes the stroller, chatting to a friend — a quiet, everyday moment made all the more poignant by what the  family is facing.

Jesy shares the twins with her fiancé, Zion Foster, and has been candid about how dramatically life has changed since their diagnosis. Speaking previously, she admitted her home now “looks like a hospital” as she learns to manage medical equipment and complex care needs while still trying to simply be a mum.

According to the NHS, the condition is rare and causes muscle weakness that worsens over time, though treatments are available to help manage symptoms.

Last weekend, Jesy shared a tender video of one of her daughters smiling and laughing despite having a feeding tube in place, writing simply that she was “so in love with her little laugh”. Days earlier, she broke down in tears on This Morning as she spoke about the emotional toll of being told her daughters may never walk or regain neck strength.

Despite the fear and exhaustion, Jesy has remained fiercely hopeful, saying she believes in manifesting a positive future for her girls and drawing strength from the fact that they have each other.

Amid the personal turmoil, the singer has also confirmed her upcoming documentary, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, which will premiere on February 13 via Amazon. The series promises an unfiltered look at her journey into motherhood, her high-risk pregnancy, and her decision to leave the band in 2020, as she confronts both her past and an uncertain future with honesty and resilience.
