Peter Andre Breaks His Silence With Emotional Plea After Revealing Loved One’s Devastating Diagnosis With a Very Rare Form of Blood Cancer.
Peter Andre has made a desperate and deeply emotional appeal to the public after revealing that a close family member has been diagnosed with an exceptionally rare form of blood cancer — and urgently needs a stem cell donor.
The singer and television personality, who has long been open about health struggles within his family, took to social media to share the heartbreaking news. This time, however, his message was different. It wasn’t reflective or retrospective — it was a direct plea for help.
In a series of emotional Instagram Stories, Peter revealed that his sister-in-law’s father, Harri, is now fighting for his life after receiving the devastating diagnosis.
“My sister-in-law’s father, Harri, is in desperate need of a stem cell donor,” Peter wrote.
“He is battling a very rare blood cancer.”
Peter went on to explain that Harri’s situation is particularly urgent because of the limited number of compatible donors available. According to doctors, Harri’s best — and possibly only — chance of survival is to find a stem cell match, most likely from someone of Asian descent.
“His only chance is to find someone, mainly of Asian descent, to be a donor,” Peter explained, urging his followers to help spread the message as far and wide as possible.
Visibly shaken, the star pleaded with fans to share his appeal, hoping that one repost, one message, or one act of kindness could ultimately save a life.
“Please, please pass this on in the hope that someone may be able to help,” he wrote.
“Thank you so much for your help.”
Peter’s sister-in-law, Sunny, also shared her own emotional message, encouraging people to register as stem cell donors and stressing just how much was at stake.
“To everyone seeing this heartbreaking news,” she wrote,
“Below is a link to sign up as a stem cell donor. You could be my dad’s lifesaver. Please share far and wide. Let’s save my beautiful daddy.”
Tragically, this plea comes at a time when Peter is already navigating immense emotional strain within his family. His mother, Thea, was diagnosed with both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease in 2023 and now lives on Australia’s Gold Coast with his father, Savvas.
Earlier this month, Peter shared a heartbreaking update revealing that his mother can no longer speak. Posting a tender video of his daughter Belle video-calling her grandparents, he opened up about the quiet pain his family is living with.
“No matter what happens in my life, moments like these are the most precious,” he wrote.
“Sadly, mum can’t speak anymore. But Belle has a beautiful daily conversation with her Bapou — and they adore each other.”
He added that while his daughter sees her Yiayia every day, Parkinson’s has continued to take a heavy toll — making Peter cherish every remaining moment with both his parents and his children.
As he balances public life with deeply personal heartbreak, Peter’s message is painfully clear: right now, hope depends on awareness, compassion — and action from strangers.
One share could change everything.
