“I’m Alive!” – Anne Nolan has revealed she broke down in tears after being officially told she is cancer-free. ‘Please Let Me Live to See My Grandkids Grow’: Anne Nolan’s Last Wish After Beating Cancer Twice

Anne Nolan has revealed she broke down in tears after being officially told she is cancer-free — a bittersweet moment for the 74-year-old singer, who has endured unimaginable loss within her famous family.

After a gruelling battle with breast cancer for the second time in her life, Anne says receiving the all-clear was “the best news” — but it came wrapped in emotion. “I had a little cry,” she says. “I was just relieved more than anything and felt so blessed and happy.”

Anne, of the iconic Nolan Sisters, has lost two siblings — Bernie and Linda — to cancer. “Although I was absolutely thrilled, I did think about them. It’s not survivor’s guilt, but it’s sadness that they weren’t as lucky as I was,” she shares.

The singer, who first faced cancer in 2000 and again in 2020, spoke from her home in Blackpool, describing how the 2022 ordeal affected her deeply. “It was horrendous. I ended up with anxiety about dying. I had cancer during COVID and couldn’t have my family with me in hospital. I still have anxiety. I don’t want to die, I love being alive.”

Despite lingering effects like neuropathy from chemotherapy, Anne says she feels physically well. “I don’t take any medication regularly. I do my own housework. I feel really good.”

But the mental scars linger. “I get scared in the shower — because both times I found my cancer there. Now, I avoid checking sometimes out of fear. I know it’s irrational, but it’s real.”

Anne now wants to fully embrace life, sharing her dream bucket list: visiting the Vatican, seeing Nashville, learning to swim and picking up a new language or instrument.

She also laughs about her visits to sister Coleen’s Staffordshire farm. “I love animals, but I’m scared of them! I go and say hello to the horses — but I wouldn’t want to be left alone with them.”

Anne says the family’s history with cancer — including Coleen’s skin cancer diagnosis in 2023 and brother Brian’s recent prostate cancer battle — has brought them even closer. “When you come through it, you think — I didn’t die, so I’m going to live every day to the fullest.”
